where can I find documentations to the Chart designer and classes cl_gui_chart_engine and cl_igs_chart_engine ? Are there any exercise programs too ?

Thorough Chart Designer documentation available? (and/or a question answered)

Today I found out about Chart Designer from Ray Camden's web site. I'm trying to get myself up to speed quickly for a project I'm trying to complete and I'm looking for any more thorough documentation than is found through the PDF that is available with the CF Server install or the WebChart web site.
I have an existing chart being generated via CF and want to know if I can access and modify it through Chart Designer or do I have to start from scratch.

Custom Color Palette - Chart Designer

Hi all, I need to change the colors that my pie chart uses. You can do this in chart designer under the global settings section. The property, color pallete has 4 selectable entries, Frog, Streamline, Tradeshow, and Custom. By selecting "Custom", this means that I can choose the exact colors that I want to use, right? If so, where and how do I specify the colors for my custom color palette. Any reply would be appreciated. Thanks.

Did you go through my post here https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/profile?userid=397656 ? I`m not 100% sure that you are able to do this using only Chart Designer. The problem is that you need association between series data id in cutomization XML and data XML. If you know such id on design time, you can re-design my example by moving generated piece of XML from WD to static customizing XML.

Problem with chart design

I am experiencing a problem with the output of a line chart that I am creating in APEX. Its labels (X-axis) are dates, but they do not seem to fit entirely into the lenght of the x-axis (all the ones that I have ordered in the sql expression). Also, I needed to place these dates in a vertical position, for which I cannot find any parameter. The sql is as follows:

Hi Frank,
I'm creating some SEM Management Cockpit, the problem I faced is not the BEx Query itself, but the pie chart design and display. I have processed my data in advance, so there a only 5 values in my query at a time, and these area values are not constant values. If I don't mark a selection criteria, it will display a full pie in Management Cockpit.
And if I browse the query in IE directory, I can get a desired pie chart by "Swap Axes", so I think maybe there is a same choose in Management Cockpit.

How to change color in analytics chart designer

Hi Guru's,
Could any one tell me how the chart color can be customized by using chart designer.
I need to change the category colors in the way High--> Red, Medium --->Yellow , Low ---> Green.
Chart designer doesn't gave me the flexibility to change the category or point section color through that.

0fisscper material NI (net invoicing)
i need a chart with x axis as time and the materials in each catergory
how could this be done (materials have to be in series) in Bex or WAD

Hi Realist,
You can create in both Bex and WAD
In Bex tool bar you have an option called Layout --> in that go to Attach Chart --> and then right click on chart you will see
1.Chart Type --> You can pic different types of charts
2.Source Data --> Here you can select Series and Add materials & remove other Key Figs
3.Chart options --> gives you to customise the chart design by naming X and Y axis
In WAD
Go to Tools --> Wizard --> click Next --> select Chart --> Add your Query in Query View --> and go ahead with designing..
If you want to see your chart in web or Portal then WAD will be the Better option

Speedometer properties in Chart Designer

Hi,
Can anyone please let me know, how I can specify the Red, Yellow and Green value ranges in the speedometer axis (in Webdynpro Business Graphics)? Is it possible to do so using the Chart Designer?

IGS Graphic Customizing-SAP Chart Designer

I'm creating dynamic graphic in smartforms. Yes it's working but i need customizing for graphic. I'm created one xml file with SAP Chart Designer and assigned this file IGS. It's working just something attributes. Sample : I changed graphic dimension in Chart Designer.. yes it's working but when i changed the colomn color or border color this is not working... So i'm have color problems in customizing. I'm atach the xml file for discussion.

SSRS Column Chart Design Returning values in a format different from SSRS -SSAS Query Designer

I have an SSAS cube Measure Group with Multiple Measures that I am attempting to return on one SSRS report and reflect the
values using a ssrs column chart.
My Measure Group (Patients).
Measures:
PatientsOnMeds
PatientOnRelapse
PatientsCounseld
TotalNumberOfPatientsRegisterd
NewlyRegisteredPatients
HealthPersonelTrainef
Demension:
Time (Year) :filtered to 2012 & 2013
In my SSRS query designer I have filtered the above Measures with Time Dimesion year 2012 & 2013
and the data is returned as :
Year |PatientsOnMeds|PatientOnRelapse|TotalNumberOfPatientsRegisterd|NewlyRegisteredPatients|
2012 | 700 | 526 | 25 | 456
2013 | 245 | 245 | 15 | 70
Now the problem is when I return this data on the column Chart it's in messed up mesh
On the chart Data:
-Values :Measures
-Series Group: Dimension
The report values are returned in multiple columns for each value segmented by year i.e year 2012,Year 2013.
I want a single column for each Measure (value) for each single year and The chart axis to reflect the measures(values)
instead of grouping values according to series group.
instead the legend returns:
-Year A -PatientsOnMeds
-Year A -PatientOnRelapse
-Year B -PatientsOnMeds
-Year B -PatientOnRelapse
I would like the legend to reflect on -Year A,Year B in color code that will be highlighted in the column values.
Please point me in the right course if you can.Your insights are highly appreciated.Thank you in advance.

Question About Bex wad portfolio chart design

user wants to compare sales and cost value and see where the department is. ie user want to see sales as Xaxis and cost as Yaxis and department has bubbles in portfolio graph . but when i use this graph i am unable to assign the values to axis and graph i am not able dispalyed correctly . can anyone help me out for this example how to use this graph .

Hello,
Goto start menu -> Run -> give '%temp%' and execute. This will show the temp folder here, then find the folder BW and delete this folder complately. Now open BEx analyzer for the first time after this & connect with system, so that the right texts are entered to the temp file in the desktop.
After this the issue should be fixed.

Documaker Charts - design and functionality

Hello, Documaker users!
We have faced interesting requirements from client - to insert a chart with a trend into a printout. All the data will be variable, but i have more questions about Documaker Chart functionality and design:
1. As you see i need grey horizontal gridlines, but if i tick "Axis grid marks" option, they will overlay columns and i can't find any option to bring them backward. Can you please suggest me how to move gridlines backward?
2. I need to name columns after months in Latvian language. As I understand in "Point Axis Labels" i need to select a Custom "Format", but I don't see any options where I can manually enter necessary characteristics. Can someone please advice me how to manually entitle columns?
3. Client wants to display the amount of each column, but I can't find this functionality at all. What is the best way how to do it?

We have a potential workaround\solution to item 1.
3D charts place the gridlines in the background; 2D charts place the gridlines in the foreground.
Based on your picture, your chart type is set to 2D vertical Bar.
Change the chart type to 3D Vertical Bar.
Then go to the 3-Dimension group in your Graph options.
change the X-Axis rotation and y-Axis rotation to 0.
Your chart should now resemble a 2D vertical bar with the grid lines will be in the background.

Using C++ to create a structure chart designer

I am trying to use C++ to design a structure chart program that will let you enter in names of functions into a sidebar and as you enter a name into the first slot two things will happen: another blank slot will appear below the one you are typing
in and a text box (shaped to the size of the text inside) will appear in the main area allowing the structure chart to expand. Another part will be to put some kind of tab on the text entry slots so that you can add different lines to any other function boxes
including main() and allows you to put the variable names that are being passed in and out of functions on or near the lines that go between them all. It will basically be just what you would expect out of a structure chart, just automated and neat.
Let me know if there is any advice or help you can give me as I start this program.
