Chart & "don't summarize" option

I am trying to create a very simple Numeric Access Line Chart. I want to plot the value of an integer field against time of day for a 24-hour period. So I choose the field "TimeOfDay" (which is a double representing the hour of the day as the "on change of" field, and I would love to choose intVal as for the "show Value(s) field. Unfortunately, Crystal Reports has decided that I must want to summarize that field, and the checkbox for "don't summarize" seems to be permanently disabled. Any suggestions?
I apologize in advance if this question has already been asked and answered, but after about an hour of frustration trying to navigate this site, I gave up.

Hello Helen,
You can create a formula field whose value is equal to the field that you don't want to summarize ( in your case 'intVal'). Select this field in the 'show values' field and select it and uncheck the 'Dont' Summarize' option.

I am trying to create a simple line chart showing the value of an integer variable plotted against the time of day (24 hours). My problem is that when I choose the field that I want to plot, the checkbox for "don't summarize" is disabled, and I have no choice but to summarize the data. I am using Crystal Reports XI Release 2. Any suggestions?

Hi Helen,Had the same problem. Interestingly, the solution is that the "Don't Summarize" field is only available for formula fields.If you don't want to summarize a field, create a new formula which returns the value of that field. Enabling 'Don't Summarize'

I have Pie chart currently that I want the data not to be summarized. I want to display the literal values instead of counting occurances.
Using: CR XI release 2
http://technicalsupport.businessobjects.com/cs/forums/thread/6683.aspx : I attempted the F4 mentioned in this post but nothing happens when pressed. Chart selected and unselected on both design and preview screens. Is there another way to get at the 'Chart Propties' mentioned.
My data starts as a numeric value (total seconds of elapsed time). That I convert with a formula to a formatted time value.
According to both CR XI help and the above post, the 'Don't Summarize' button should be enabled, as I am using a formula value but it is not.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Greetings,about your problem the formula output must be in double format to be able to disable 'Don't Summarize' just use Cdbl() in the formula as return value and it will work Regards

I'd start with the following document, with one modification. At step 12 after typing GEARAspiWDM press the Enter/Return key once prior to clicking OK. (Pressing Return adds a carriage return in the field and is important.)

If you're still getting the error message (especially when you plug in the Touch), I'd check for a device filter confusion on the PC. (They can affect the connection of USB devices to a PC, as well as burning and importing CDs.) For that one, see:

What happened to "Summarize Options" dialog (connector lines) in Acrobat X?

I just tried to create a "connector line" PDF in Acrobat X and discovered that the "Summarize Options" dialog has been removed. (File>>Print>>Summarize Comments). Up through Acro 9, clicking the Summarize Options would cause the following dialog to appear:

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; this can be done by phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, or clicking here and picking a method, or if your country isn't listed in either article, filling out and submitting this form.
The reset option will only appear if you have a rescue email address. Creating one requires supplying two of the answers.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

It won't let me share my movie. Nothing happens when I click "share" or even in the drop down menu. I don't get options. HELP! I need this video by tonight!

I have worked with iMoive a ton and have never had an issue. I consider myself pretty computer savvy. This new iMovie is not my friend. It will not let me share my new video. I click on the project and click "share" like it says but I don't receive any further prompt. It literally does nothing. I tried the drop down menu and I see the "share" with an arrow indicating there are options but no drop down menu appears. I need this video by tonight to submit for work. HELP!

I got it to share! No reloading iMovie!
I do not have Mackeeper on my laptop
I have the movie files on an external hard drive
1. Close out iMovie
2. Eject the external hard drive
3. Start up iMovie
4. Plug in the external hard drive
5. Go into finder and double click on the folder containing the movie
6. Select the movie as if to edit
7. Share it!

CRVS2010 beta - Chart Expert - Data Tab option

Hello,
On the data tab in CR2008 and CRVS2008 there is an option at the top of the tab called Place chart.
The option let you select where in the report to place the chart based on the groups the chart has
I do not see this option in CRVS2010 on the data tab or any other tab.
Was it removed in one of the CR2008 upgrades or just removed from CRVS2010.

You say that you see the data tab in CR2008 and CRVS2008. I take that to mean in CPR S2X and CPR 10.5(?).
As far as I am aware, the chart expert only ships with stand-alone versions of CPR. E.g.; CPR 10.5 (Crystal Reports Basic for Visual Studio 2008) does not have it, CPR S2X does. CPR 2010 being a specific build for VS 2010, I'd expect it will not have the chart expert and that it will be available on a future upgrade.

IPhone 4 apps not updating that require wifi. They get only so far and then start over again. Now they won't even attempt to update. Given the 'done' or 'retry' option and they're still unusable. I've tried logging out of app store, rebooting, and reset.

Perhaps its the wifi I'm using (cruise ship worker here), and will try again on a land wifi signal before worrying a lot. any help would be great.
In-store helper had me double click home and clear out all opened apps and that worked then , but not now.

Also, just as a note, I restored my iphone last night, and it has made no difference.
One last thing... On itunes, when i click 'info' on apps that are said to be under my friends account (ie they will only update when he is logged in), it says that i purchased them under my account, yet it won't let me update them.

Why don't have options under my tool tab in adobe reader x?

I'm trying to edit a pdf but I don't have those options under the tool tab. Am I skipping a step? It's obviously loaded on my computer and I registered our Adobe Acrobat software. What am I missing?

Well, I was in Adobe Reader and then found out that you can't edit in Reader so I went to Acrobat and still couldn't figure it out. I was able to pull up the existing PDF, but I couldn't go any further. I was able to click on the tools on the left of the screen but they wouldn't erase the existing text.
