Chart horizontal axis show whole year

Hi All,
How to display whole year month as horizontal axis even if no data? for example, currently I have data for FY13 up to Jan 13, no data for Feb 13, Mar 13, Apr 13, May 13 and Jun 13 yet, in the chart it will automatically showing horizontal axis from July 2012 to Jan 2013, but I want to show horizontal axis from July 2012 to June 2013, if not yet data, line stops.
Thank you,
Ling

Hi,
Apart from the option mentioned above, you can also create an right outer join in the BMM layer of the RPD.
This is only recommended if the data expected by you is the same in all the reports using this combination of the tables.
Thanks,
Vineeth

  • How to show whole year in iCal

    iCal is configured to shoe day, week and month but can one get iCal to show a whole year, like a wall calendar. If not then perhaps there is some add on software that will do this?
    Grateful if anyone can advise
    thanks

    Aside from the fact that it takes third party software (no longer available) to do this, I don't really see what the need would be. Time, date and month change often enough that the would be necessary to keep up with but the year? Every 365 days?
    Besides, you can click the time in the menu bar and it will show you the year.

  • Waterfall Report / Dates on Horizontal Axis

    I need to create a waterfall report and I have dates on my horizontal axis.  For some Reason I  cant lay out the data in order to order service dates and Posting Dates in such a way that my vertical axis labels are service dates, and my horizontal
    axis are accounting posting dates  - The values for bars in the chart should be a calculate percentage - or value -
    (I do know how to add a secondary Axis! :))
    Does anyone know how to do this in SSRS 2008R2?

    Hi siera_gld,
    Based on my understanding, you want to order [SRVC YRMO] field on the horizontal axis and [Post Year Month] field as a series within a chart, right?
    If so, in your scenario, you can design the report like below:
    Otherwise, please provide report design and expected results for our analysis. If possible, please provide some screenshots about expected chart.
    If you have any question, please feel free to ask.

  • How to give individual horizontal axis label to two stacked bar of cartesian chart

    I have a cartesian chart showing no. of xyz and no.of abc for a particular period of time. i.e. two bars corresponding to xyz & abc for Jan, and then again two bars corresponding to xyz & abc for Feb, and so on. I have used label function to give label to horizontal axis such that labels look like "xyz abc (nextLine) Jan" ,"xyz abc (nextLine) Feb".
    But the issue is that the label is not centre alligned to the respective bars, i.e. xyz is not coming under xyz bar and abc is not coming under abc bar. the whole label's alignment is somewhere in between the two bars on x-axis. And i want to have label centre alligned to their respective bars, i.e 'xyz' should be centre alligned to 'xyz' bar, and 'abc' label should be centre alligned to 'abc' bar, along with the time period value. I have tried giving space in between "xyz" and "abc" but the problem occurs when data varies.They again don't seems centre aligned. I want x-axis label for each bar along with the categoryaxis's  category field.
    So,is there any way to achieve such functionality??

    Could you post a screenshot of your current output and maybe a mockup of the desired output?

  • Break for Horizontal Axis Labels in OBIEE 11g Bar Chart

    Hi all,
    I have a vertical bar chart created in OBIEE 11g. The horizontal axis (x-axis) is a compound of Scenario, Year, and Month. The chart width is already long enough so it cannot be made any longer.
    The chart looks like this (the label of horizontal axis is staggered):
    ___llllllllllllll_________llllllllllllll_________llllllllllllll_________llllllllllllll
    ___llllllllllllll_________llllllllllllll_________llllllllllllll_________llllllllllllll
    ___llllllllllllll_________llllllllllllll_________llllllllllllll_________llllllllllllll
    ___llllllllllllll_________llllllllllllll_________llllllllllllll_________llllllllllllll
    Actual Feb 2012____________Actual Apr 2012
    ___________Actual Mar 2012_____________Actual May 2012
    How can I force the labels for the horizontal axis to be broken into 2 lines (or even 3 lines), so that it will look like this:
    ___llllllllllllll_________llllllllllllll_________llllllllllllll_________llllllllllllll
    ___llllllllllllll_________llllllllllllll_________llllllllllllll_________llllllllllllll
    ___llllllllllllll_________llllllllllllll_________llllllllllllll_________llllllllllllll
    ___llllllllllllll_________llllllllllllll_________llllllllllllll_________llllllllllllll
    ___Actual________Actual________Actual________Actual
    __Feb 2012_____Mar 2012_____Apr 2012______May 2012
    Any advice? Thanks a lot!

    Hi Stewart,
    I could not try this yet, but how about 'Enabling the Contains HTML Markup' for the columns for Heading and including a '</br>' tag at the end of the name.
    Ex: Column - >Properties -> column Format -> Column Heading -> Enable Contains HTML Markup -> Column Heading's suffix =less than symbol /br greater than symbol (Oracle forums is even break the line too!! ;) So included the text)
    Hope this helps.
    Thank you,

  • Horizontal Axis not showing when initial loading

    Hi,
    We are on Dashboard 4.1 SP3.
    I have drilling down configured on the Dashboard report. The issue is when initial loading the dashboard. the horizontal text are not showing completly, untill I click the other column of the parent column, it shows the child horizontal text.
    Could you please help.
    Thanks,

    Hi Dave,
    There are some issues still in displaying the horizontal axis.
    1844514 - Dashboard X axis labels are cutoff
    As a workaround what you can do, use the range slider to make the date text to display vertically rather than horizontal or you can enlarge the size of the chart at the max to make them to display vertical.
    Hope this helps!!!

  • Number: chart: set the horizontal axis (x-axis) crosses at

    When creating a chart in number, how can I set the horizontal axis (x-axis) crosses the y-axis at the point I want it to be? In other words, when I create a chart, the x-axis is automatically set to be at the bottom, but what if I don't want it always to be at the bottom?

    If you want the axis line somewhere else, you can draw a line on the chart using the graphics tools, having deselected the option for an automatic Axis line.

  • OBIEE 11G: Can I set limit on number of ticks only on horizontal axis and zoom in if I want to?

    Hello
    Is there a way I can restrict the total number of ticks on horizontal axis only? Say I want to set it to show only 24 ticks on horizontal axis. I am putting date and hour on the horizontal axis, if I take 3 dates of data, I will have 3X24 = 72 ticks on the chart, but I want the chart to show only 24 ticks. So it's pretty much ticks for 3 hours on the horizontal chart in this case.
    Can this be done?
    Second, if the first can be done, then can I then zoom in to any ticks on the horizontal axis, and it would show be the break down of this ticks, which is made up with 3 hour's performance separately?
    Thanks

    The zooming feature was ok, but what if I want to zoom in on just a specific area between the ticks when only 1 click?
    Any thoughts?

  • Horizontal Axis labels display

    I have a graph with the a daily value for a whole year which
    means I have 365 values on one graph the lineseries are readable
    but the fact to have 365 labels on the X-axis makes it not
    readable. Does anybody knows how to display only one label over ten
    of the horizontal axis.
    Thank you for your help.

    Anyone help me in this ???
    some time i need to hide them also. how to do ?

  • Horizontal Axis X doesn't cross at $0

    I have a column chart with negative values. I need to have a clean design of the dashboard and i took off all horizontal gridlines
    In Excel charts you have an option to show your X Axis at 0 value on the chart, but it looks like we don't have this option in dashboard charts.
    Does anyone knows any creative solution how to show the Z Axis at 0 value???
    Thank you.

    Hi Alex,
    Try changing your scale in the 'Behavior > Scale' tab to "Manual" scaling. You will need 2 formulas for the min/max.
    A = rounddown(min([range of all values]),-4)
    B = roundup(max([range of all values]),-4)
    These will give you your lowest and highest values being plotted, and round down or up to the nearest 10,000.
    In the Divisions section below that, bind "Size of Division" to the following formula:
    (B - A) / 4
    Then in 'Appearance > Axis' tab change show only major grid lines, and change them to be the same color/size as your horizontal axis. You should get something similar to the attached result. Slightly different than what you're looking for, but the closest you'll get without custom graphics/layering multiple charts.

    in the xml? Say, the age month value in the xml is 24, the value it

  • Columnchart Column Width based on horizontal axis

    I've been searching for awhile on  how to do this, but so far I've come up pretty much empty.
    I have a column chart with a datetime axis as the horizontal axis, and each data point represents not just a single date but a range of dates (i.e., there is a time_start and time_end value, and I've been plotting using the time_start as my x value). I want the columns to line up with the start and end date rather than being fixed width, so my thought was to write a custom renderer to accomplish this. Unfortunately I don't have any experience with custom renderers, and I haven't found a way to find the size of the horizontal axis in pixels (in fact, I'm not sure how to access the chart object or axis object at all from within the renderer). Any suggestions?

    Thanks Niall ... though I've modified your response to FormCalc
    It's begun to work though there appears to be a slight glitch.  Only the column cell for Row 1 is showing up.  It would seem that it isn't correctly counting/adding all rows.  Also, when I unselect the checkbox, it isn't re-hiding the column.
    My script:
    var vRows = Table1._Row1.count
    if($=="1")then
    var i=0; i<vRows; i++
    Table1.Row1[" + i + "].Cell10.presence = "visible"
    Table1.Row1[" + i + "].Cell11.presence = "visible"
    Table1.Row1[" + i + "].Cell10.relevant = "+print"
    Table1.Row1[" + i + "].Cell11.relevant = "+print"
    else
    var i=0; i<vRows; i++
    Table1.Row1[" + i + "].Cell10.presence = "hidden"
    Table1.Row1[" + i + "].Cell11.presence = "hidden"
    endif

  • Studio : Chart Based on day/month/year

    In Studio , There is a requirement for us to display chart based on day/month/year .
    Since Date attribute is not displayed as a Dimension in the chart configuration list , I have divided  date attribute into  day/month/year attributes and based on that I generated a sample chart
    But now I'm facing with a problem
    Suppose there are records for only July and Sep then the chart shows up for July and Sep , It doesn't show up for august.
    I agree that there are no records for august in my data domain that is the reason august is not displayed in the chart . But as per our requirement we should display august as well with zero count.
    I'm curious to know if there is any way to do this .

    The idea behind the calendar record type is it is a secondary, new record type you're introducing that compliments your "sales" record type.  The RECORDs you provided would be your "sales" record type, not your "calendar" record type.  To continue with your example, your "sales" records would look like what you provided:
    =============== RECORD ==================
    Id: 1
    sales_amount : 1000
    Month: Oct
    RecordType: sales
    date: 2012-10-01T00:00:00.000Z
    day: 01
    year: 2012
    =============== RECORD ==================
    Id: 5
    sales_amount: 1000
    Month: Dec
    RecordType: sales
    date: 2012-12-01T00:00:00.000Z
    day: 01
    year: 2012
    ==========================================
    And your "calendar" record type would be loaded subsequently.  I usually provide one Endeca record for every day for this record type:
    =============== RECORD ==================
    Id: 1
    Month: Oct
    RecordType: calendar
    date: 2012-10-01T00:00:00.000Z
    day: 01
    year: 2012
    =============== RECORD ==================
    Id: 2
    Month: Oct
    RecordType: calendar
    date: 2012-10-02T00:00:00.000Z
    day: 02
    year: 2012
    ==========================================
    (and so on, one for each day up to today...yawn)....
    =============== RECORD ==================
    Id: 790
    Month: July
    RecordType: calendar
    date: 2013-07-31T00:00:00.000Z
    day: 31
    year: 2013
    ==========================================
    Thus, when you write an EQL statement like:
    RETURN foo AS SELECT
    SUM(sales_amount) AS "TotSales"
    GROUP BY Month
    You will get a Month bucket for every month, where the "calendar" record type will be sure to offer a month where sales don't offer it...aka. fill in any "holes".

  • Horizontal axis Labels in tabular style

    I have a weird requirement. I want to draw the horizontal axis of a  column chart in a tabular style, like a table with one row. each label  will become one cell. I am trying to tweek it out, since I can see  labelRenderer of AxisRenderer is the only way for that. I had a small lead, when I used opaquebackground to give the backgound color. But since am using label renderer for formatting the labels, the opage background is painting in too much thickness. please give any  input if anyone have any other lead.
