Chart Labels displays correctly in Visual Studio Preview but shows incorrectly in Report Manager after deployment

Hi,
We have built a SSRS report which contains a chart and a tablix. The chart labels (Male and Female) is displayed correctly in the Visual Studio Preview but in the Report Manager it displays as Female and Female.
These are the following things which we have tried to fix it:
Deleted and redeployed the report
Restarted the Report Server
Checked the report caching. There is no cache for this report.
We use SQL Server 2012 and Visual Studio 2010.
Any help is very much appreciated.

Per my understanding that you have two label "Male and Female" which display correctly in the Visual Studio 2010 but not correct in the Report Manager, right?
As you have mentioned that you have checked the report caching, please make sure you have set the "Do not cache temporary copies of this report" in report manager and also check to delete the rdl.data cache file under the project if you have
which path like:
\Visual Studio 2008\Projects\Report Project
If possible, please try to create an new report the same as this one to have a double check.

we do have the following situation
on computer A there is a Excel Document Addin development project , Visual Studio 2012, Office 2010 installed. All works fine.
we would like to bring the project to another machine with Visual Studio 2012, but Office 2013 installed.
Visual Studio can not build the project. It says that the application is not installed on the machine (though Excel 2013 is installed , but not Excel 2010) It seems to have a problem with the
vbproj.
In other forums I found a hint that "Hostpackage = ..} needs to be set accordingly in the vbproj. I created then a "empty Excel-Addin project" under Visual Studio , looked at
the Hostpackage entry, put that into the vbproj of "problem project. It still does not work.
It would be great if anyone could help.

Problem is that it says that projectboard (the name of the main project) can not be loaded. All other projects in the solution can be loaded. Strange thing is , now that I try to create a empty excel Project it says that according to Excel security settings
it can not be generated !?
I opened then Excel and set all Trust Center settings to "Default" - but no effect. I really have no idea what is wrong ..!?

When clicking on the "Download report" after running a load test using Visual Studio Online an error occurs. The download completes, but the import fails at 15% with the following:

Cache geleegd, zonder dat er een project was geopend. CP vervolgens afgesloten.
Daarna in de map Utils de batch-file CleanPreferencesWin.bat gestart. Vervolgens CP weer gestart.
Nieuw project gemaakt met het volgende resultaat, zie afbeeldingen van achtereenvolgens:
1) de Slide
2) de Preview
3) het gepubliceerde project (Index.html)
Ik heb wel voor hetere vuren gestaan en ben nog te jong om er gek van te worden, maar dit is volgens mij out of my hands...

The ! turns up when iPhoto loses the connection between the thumbnail in the iPhoto Window and the file it represents.
What version of iPhoto? Assuming 09 or later...
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

Visual Studio Projects Not Showing FileVesion Leading Zeroes in File Properties

I created a simple Visual Studio 2013 windows form application setting the AssemblyInfo.cs file as show below.

I built the application and went to the Windows File Explorer and brought up the file properties. What I see is that the product version showing the leading zeros, but the file version field does not show the leading zeros.
It appears to be a bug either with Visual Studio or with Windows. Which one is it and is there a fix?

We can't see the screenshot. Do you mean you use Windows Explorer to browse to the AssemblyInfo.cs file and check the property?
If you change the product version or the file version from the AssemblyInfo.cs file, you need to firstly rebuild the assembly, then if you go to the debug/release folder, check the property of the assembly file, the Details tab will show you the corresponding
changes of these properties. It's the assembly property but not the cs file property.

How can I get Visual Studio 2010 to work with Crystal Reports?

My office upgraded to Windows 7 and Visual Studio 2010 and now I can no longer write front end programs to Crystal Reports version 10. Does anybody know if there is a a workaround? Also, our version of Crystal Reports is 32 bit but the new desktop machine I have is 64 bit so there may be issues accessing the Crystal Reports DLLs which are now located in the Programs (x86) folder.
It's all such a gigantic mess that I don't even know where to begin. Visual Studio 2008 had Crystal Reports in it so it was real easy.

Try searching first before posting. CR for Visual Studio 2010 download is available on the OverView tab. It's a free install, we don't ship in VS now, it's still a plug in so you can't use VS 2010 Express version, MS doesn't support plugins in Express versions.
Runtime files will be version 13 and should update your app without issues.
Install VS 2010/2012/2013 first and then run the first link in the download page. Don't instlal just the runtime redist MSI, it will not integrate into VS.
Also, set your Project for x86 and not any CPU and use the full .NET Framework and not the client version.

Website displays correctly in most collegues IE7 but not all?

Hope some one can help but i have designed a front page that will link to a CMS system. (http://www.braintree.gov.uk/intranet/index.html). I am still an amature so i am sure my coding will not be as correct as it could be.
I have tried to validate the code using W3C's Unicorn buit there are about 5 errors that i can not change as i have used simple RSS feeds in one column.
The page displays correctly on most of my collegues IE7 web browsers but unfortunately on 3 of them the left column and top column displays the text and links larger than it is supposed to.
Is this likely to be a browser problem with there IE7 browsers or is my coding incorrect? Any help will be appreciated, please see screen shots below of the problem.

Your colleague is using larger text in their browser. To illustrate, open your page in Firefox. View > Zoom, text only and hit Ctrl+++. This is how your page will appear to everyone who uses larger than default text sizes.
Problem: Your design is rigid and it needs to be flexible.
Solution: Remove CSS height property from all containers that may hold text. Height restricts how much the container can flex.
And review why absolute positioning for primary layouts isn't such a good idea.

Page not displaying in Safari and Internet explorer but showing up in Mozila

Hi,
I bought this pre-made template which I would like to use for my website. When I upload it to my website and try to open the pages like "Contact us", "News", "Team members" and so on, they are not displaying in Safari and Interner Explorer, but they DO show up in Mozilla. Also, the pages I created myself do show up in all browsers. I really need to fix this problem as I already put a lot of effort to create my web site and now it is not working online. Access 2013 - How do I get my charts to display correctly?

I have a pretty siimple, straightforward application I've developed and used over the past 20 years to handle my home finances. It includes several charts that were probably created back in Access 2003, which I used up until a couple of weeks ago when I
subscribed to Office 365 Home and set up Office 2013, including Access.
Most things worked without a hitch. In fact, all my old VBA code seems to run just fine.
However, the charts don't work. The right side of chart gets cut off way short of the margin both in print preview and report view. Everything else looks fine and the data is correct.
I've fiddled and fussed and fangled with zoom, clip and stretch. I've tried to resize the chart area - it just snaps back. I've tried everything I can think of based on 20 years of fussing with Access charts - which has always been a major pain - without
success.
I know, I've probably overlooked whatever is the obvious answer, so feel free to talk down to me.
Any suggestions much appreciated!

Just to be a little more clear: I have a report, originally constructed in Access 2003, which contains an OLE data object. That's how charts have been done in Access for at least the past ten years, if not longer. I would imagine that there are thousands
of people out there who have charts created in this way. I have seen many, many reports of exactly the same problem I'm having. Until Access 2010, things worked. Now they don't. I happen to have upgraded to 2010 very briefly before upgrading again to 2013.
There is no problem with the data in the query. The query works fine. The part of the OLE object which is visible shows correct data from the query. The problem is that the whole OLE object is not visible. The right side of the OLE object is cut off. It stays
that way regardless of the clip/zoom/stretch setting,
When I to adjust the size of the OLE object, I put the report into design mode and double-click on the OLE object, which brings up Microsoft Chart. I then drag the right edge of the object to the left to make it smaller. It appears that it snaps back; the ruler
in the embedded Chart display makes it appear that the size of the OLE object hasn't changed.
In fact, however, it has. And if you make the OLE object small enough, the entire object becomes visible. However, by that time, you've made it so small that the chart is now fairly useless and your report looks stupid.
So far, the only work-around I have found is to very carefully, working one small step at a time, saving, closing and re-opening at each step, reduce the size of the OLE object until the whole thing shows, then, still one small step at a time, increase the
size of the object until it becomes useful. It's still not good, but at least it's useful.
Fortunately I only have a half-dozen or so charts to deal with. I shudder to think of the people with corporate databases with dozens or hundreds of charts in them, none of which now work, trying to fix them all by this slow and cumbersome process.
I was about to write, "Surely there must be some solution for this." Is there? Or am I just being overconfident?

Getting charts to display correctly

I am trying to chart data at group levels for formula-derived values. For example, I have a chart that is designed to show the five year vacancy rate history for a group of office buildings. The annual vacancy rates are calculated by summing the vacant square footage and the total square footage in the set of buildings, and dividing the former by the latter.
There are two problems with my results. First, mysteriously, the resulting chart in the design view is different than the resulting chart in the preview. Second, the preview chart has correct results, i.e., the bar heights match the annual vacancy rates, but the results are repeated four times in the chart.
Any help with this would be appreciated.

Thank you for your response. I did indeed find a mismatch between the level at which I was placing my chart and the summary level of my formulas. I am working through that and I believe that will solve that part of my problem.
The issue with the charts in design view not matching those in Preview is evidently inherent in the software. I guess I just have to get over that and not use the design view for formatting my charts.

Area Chart not displaying correct data - please help

Hello, I am new to Crystal Reports so any help would be greatly appreciated! I have a report that counts incidents for each hour in a 24 hour period. When I graph the results, the first line of the graph is wrong, but the rest of the graph is correct. I don't understand why the first line is not charting what the amounts were calculated to be. The hour ranges are in military time (x-axis) and the count is the y-axis. I am using the Area chart.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The report first shows the list of totals.

And then graphs the chart into an area graph. I recreated the report using the report wizard and now, the first item in the list will be a duplicate of some other time (no reason on why it chooses the one it does). So for instance, this report date range will first show:
19:00           0.00               7.00       39.00             8.00            0.00         54.00
20:00
21:00
22:00
23:00
0:00
1:00
and so on. When it gets to 19:00, it is the same data line as the first one. The report should start at 0:00 and go through 23:00 (midnight hour to 11:00 pm). The wierd thing is that when the chart graphs, it will put the first line item in the report as 0:00 (in this case it's plotting the 19:00 line item in the 0:00 spot) and then the remainder of the hours is plotted correctly.
I did check and I do have it switching by hour. Sorry if this is confusing. I tried to attach the actual report, but I don't have rights to do that.

In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Paste into the text box that opens (command-V), then press return.
From the folder that opens, remove any items that have "Adobe" or “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then quit and relaunch Safari, and test.
The "Silverlight" web plugin distributed by Microsoft can also interfere with PDF display in Safari, so you may need to remove it as well, if it's present. The same goes for a plugin called "iGetter," and perhaps others.
If you still have the issue, repeat with this line:
~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari again.

Charts not displayed correctly in OBIEE clustered environment

Our environment setup is as follows:-
1) Two OBI BI servers clustered
2) Two weblogic servers hosting the presentation services in a cluster
3) Two apache servers loadbalanced and redirecting requests to these weblogic cluster.
The OBIEE reports run fine in a standalone instance however in a cluster a few charts go missing on the dashboards.
Can someone please help.

I had a similar issue and you might find the info below useful for your charts problem . It has to do with the way jQuery mobile loads pages into the DOM. You have to add attributes to the links in order to force the page to be reloaded from the sever instead being fetched using Ajax, or using the existing copy already in the DOM.
Try Changing the list template to “button control group”. It contains the rel=”external” attribute which should hopefully force the page to reload.
If you don’t want to change the template then you need to add data-rel=”external” or data-ajax="false" to the link to force the page to be reloaded.
For more details on the attributes to force a page reload see JQuery Mobile pagecontainer widget. The Ajax page navigation section contains more details.

Battery not displaying correctly (log in says 96% but after logging in it says 100%)

So I got this new Macbook pro 15" (mid 2014) and I just noticed that the battery level indicator doesn't match the login page when you start your laptop (like it will say 96% but when you login it will say 100%).
I also try to use coconutBattery and got the same result as the login page indicator. It's quite frustrating as to know if my battery will run out at 10% or not without the coconutBattery app.
Does anyone have this issue as well? or am I the only one?
If anyone has this problem, does anyone know why this is happening?
My battery now is at 100% but CCB says it's 95.5%. It's very frustrating haha.

I also have the mackeeper and I used it to check for viruses and it found one and I deleted it through mackeeper but it seems that there was no solution to the problem.
That could be your problem. There is no need for anything like MacKeeper. Search these forums for the problems it causes and the method to fully remove it from your system. It's quite possible it damage your system removing what it thought was a virus. Do you remember what and where it was it flagged as a virus. There are no viruses on OS X, and all the other Malware is handled by the OS itself.
