Charting license for automated builds?

Hi All,
We have one charting license and two machines that perform
continuous builds. Is there a way to use that one license on both
these machines?
Thank you,
r.

Actually, mxmlc and fcsh ARE standard Adobe products.  They come with the SDK.  More importantly, they are free, so you can compile your flex apps without a license key.  You could hack together a build server using a cron job to fire up a bash script to pull down your release from svn, then invoke the mxmlc compiler (./mxmlc ....) and deploy the file.  One of the projects I was able to build using Hudson/maven, I'm not sure on the specifics though.

The Airport built-in to the iMac is exactly the same standard as that used in PC's 802.11b/g compatible and possibly 802.11n as well depending on the model. It means that anywhere you use can use a PC for wireless you should be able to use the iMac. It sounds as though your wireless network is protected with a WEP Key or similar encryption method and you have not entered the correct key into the iMac when attempting to join the wireless network or have not selected the appropriate key type from the drop down list. Quite a common situation is that if your password for your wireless network is a hex key, i.e only contains the numbers 0-9 and letters A-F then you need to select WEP Hex Key as the password type when joining the wireless network not WEP Password.

  • How can we buy a license for Flex Builder 3?

We develop apps using Flex SDK 2 and it is not compatible with Flex Builder 4. Is it possible for you to provide license for Flex Builder 3?

    Thanks Rob,
This may be what I'm looking for, but I don't know enough
about the difference. I guess I should have pointed out that I'm a
    complete Flex Novice!
Anyway, with Flex Builder, I created an MXML Application. I
went through all my various options again in Flex Builder and found
that under the project menu, I could export a release build in what
appears to be the format you mentioned. I managed to create a .air
file, but it is not a recognized file type on my computer. I tried
double clicking it and the built-in windows services couldn't even
find a possible way to run it. Am I missing some important step?
    Thanks again.

  • What tools do you use for automating builds?

    Hi all Build Engineers,
what systems do you use for automating builds - do you use your own tools, or some opensource project?
If it is something public, which one it is, and what were the reasons to chose it?
We are thinking about using the Hudson system (http://hudson.dev.java.net/) for our developers, but would like to hear from other RE groups about their experiences too.
    Thanks,
    Karel

  • Can I purchase a license for Flash Builder 4?

I'm enjoying using the Flash Builder 4 plug-in for Eclipse. It is saying that i will soon need to enter a serial number. I only see licenses for Flex Builder 3 available for purchase.
Can I purchase just a license for FB 4? If not now, then when? Is there some other way I can keep using FB 4 until then? I don't want to purchase a license for FB 3 (to keep using the FB 4 beta) and then have to purchase a separate upgrade later.
    Thanks!

    Hi,
Flash Builder 4 license are not available for purchase at this time. To extend your beta license you will need a valid FB 3 license. We'll be having another beta at the end of this year, but it will also have a trial period which will only be extended with a FB 3 license.

  • Run-time License for Vision builder

    HI
I have created a VBAI file for my inspection in, but now I want to transfer the inspection LabVIEW and build an exe to run the application.
Now for running that application do I require a NI Vision Builder for Automated Inspection Run-Time License or a NI Vision Development Module Run-Time License.
    Thanks,
    Ninad Regundwar
    Junior Engineer | ARAV Technologies | www.aravtech.com

Instead of migrating to LabVIEW, you might want to consider automating Vision Builder from LabVIEW and running your inspection by using the VBAI API.
Check out the examples located here: C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\Vision Builder AI 2013\API Examples\LabVIEW Examples.
The VBAI API allows to start a VBAI engine, open and run an inspection and retrieve images and results for each step.
When using this method, if you're running the LabVIEW program on the same machine VBAI is installed, you do not need to purchase the VBAI runtime, neither the Vision Development Module Runtime (unless you wish to process further the image returned by VBAI.
If you need to deploy that LabVIEW application on a different machine, then you'll need to purchase a VBAI Runtime license.
If you choose instead to migrate the inspection to LabVIEW, then you will need to purchase a full license of Vision Development module for your development machine (the code generated uses Vision Development Module VIs).
If you choose to build the resulting code into a LabVIEW application and deploy it on a different machine, you will need a Vision Development Module Runtime License for the deployment machine (but not a VBAI license).
Migrating the code to LabVIEW is recommended only in cases where you need to modify the code generated by VBAI. The code generated is indeed a lot more complex than using the VBAI API that I described in the first option.
    Hope this helps.
    Best regards,
    Christophe

  • Is Adobe planning to provide educational licenses for Flash Builder too?

My Flex license is not working at all Sad student is sad.

When Flash Builder 4 is released, we will be having educational license for it as well. Are you trying to enter your educational license into Flash Builder 4? Your license is probably specific to Flex Builder 3, however, we'll soon be posting to this site how you can extend your FB 4 trial using your FB 3 license.

  • License for Flash Builder 4.6

    Hello All,
Currently I am using the trial version of Flash Builder 4.6 and I would like to purchase the product.
Before doing that, I would like to know if the license, that is given to me, is given only for the development environment or also for the compilation process.
    To be more precise:
Do I need a special (and different license) in order to compile my code from the command line?
If I want to use an open source continuous integration tool (for example Jenkins) in order to compile the code, do I need a special license for that?
    Thanks in advance,
    Felix.

  • Buy License Adobe Flex Builder 2

In our company we are working on a project with Adobe Flex Builder 2, and we need to buy a license for Flex Builder 2. Our supplier reply us that Adobe sells only the latest versions (Flash Builder 4.5), but for our project we need the version 2 Adobe Flex. We have seen that Adobe Flash Builder 4.5 enables working in Flex 3 and 4 way, but not 2 which is what we need. I have not found a way to buy a license for version 2 of Adobe Flex Builder, how can we buy ??
Thank you very much for your help

Using multiple SDKs in Flash Builder 4
Flash Builder lets you change the version of the SDK that you use to compile your projects. You can select the SDK when you first create a project or at any time you are working on a project.
Using a different SDK can be useful if you are given a project that was developed using Flex Builder 2.0.1 (which uses the Flex 2.0.1 SDK), but you are running Flash Builder 4 (which uses the Flex 4 SDK by default). By selecting an older SDK to build with, you can maintain projects that have not been updated to be compatible with the latest version of the SDK. In addition, if you are currently working on a project for the Flex 2.0.1 SDK, but want to use the Flash Builder 4 features such as code refactoring, you can upgrade your edition of Flash Builder, but then select the older SDK as the default SDK

  • Flex Builder 4.5 Premium license not working for automation - anything else to try?

So I'm getting the message when I try to record/run a test that the "License not present.  With the trial verison only limited replays are allowed."  I have a valid license key for Flash Builder 4.5 premium edition.  I have read many forums on this subject but none of them help me.  I compile my project either using Flash Builder 4.5 or an ant script invoking mxmlc.  I have modified my flex-config.xml to include "flashbuilder45", and my given serial number with and without dashes (and other combinations).  I do not have a license.properties file.  I'm not sure what else I can do.  I have already reinstalled Flash Builder 4.5.  I am now trying Flash Builder 4.6 with the same results.  This serial number is a group one good for 5 boxes.  My next step is to request a replacement serial number from Adobe, since I can't think of anything else that could be wrong with my setup.

    1.  It is a premium which I can see when I view "My Products" on this adobe site.  I can enable Network monitor and when I do my application hangs (I've read a bit on how to get this working properly, but I don't need it)
    2. It is an FB serial number.  Here is what it is under My Products:
    Serial Number: XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX
Application or font: Flash Builder Prem
    Version: 4.5
    Platform: Multiple Platforms
    Date: June 7, 2011
    3. Yes I have.  I have uncommented
    <licenses>
          <license>
             <product>product</product>
             <serial-number>serial-num</serial-number>
          </license>
       </licenses>
which sits one level down within <flex-config/>
Under product I have tried "flashbuilder45", "flashbuilder4", "flashbuilder46", and even "flexbuilderXX" a few times.  Under my serial number I have entered the serial number as shown in My Products - I have tried tried it with dashes, and without.
    I found this post
    http://stackoverflow.com/questions/6993096/how-to-properly-define-the-flashbuilder-4-5-pre mium-license-for-a-maven-flexmojo
which says "the serial-number element is NOT the license number that we got from Adobe (and that we use when installing the Flash Builder tooling) but it is a derived form of that license number that can be found for example in the license.properties file of a developer that has Flash Builder installed".  However I have read conflicting reports about this.  At any rate I do not have a license.properties file, which I assume was discounted after flex builder 3.x.
    4. Yes, using FlashBuilder and my ant script.  I have also cleaned my browser's cache.  The problem persists.

  • Automated build server for Arch? (like the sourceforge build system)

Has someone considered some kind of automated build system for Arch?
Something that would work like this:
    - It'd have every library and dependency possible installed.
    - It'd intelligently read the makefiles produced to see what libraries they used and compare them against a lookup table to see what Arch dependencies they then required. Failing that, it could use ldd and a second lookup table that matched libraries to packages.
    - It'd attempt to figure out the target binary to run (again, from the makefiles produced), and then run it. If it worked, it'd be marked as usable. If it didn't work, it'd be marked as needing fixing.
All of these points can fail, especially in the parsing of the makefiles; in each case, this would be noted by the system and user action could be taken.
In operation, it wouldn't take away from users managing their own packages. It'd just provide a secure environment to build packages in, and attempt to automate some of the process. In the best cases, the system would theoretically be capable enough to download a package's sourcecode, ./configure it, make it, make a package out of it, get the package verified as usable, then update the repo with it.
Note the verification step in the previous paragraph: I would never want this to be an automated system. Sure, it sound amazing on paper, and might even work for a little while, but sooner or later something would come crashing down and since repo management is quite a trust-based issue, everyone would freak out and they wouldn't want the build server anymore.

Who would have access to upload to such a build server? If it's the general public, then this is a security nightmare, as well as a growth curve nightmare. The monetary investment for a project like this would need to come from somewhere.
And yeah, something like this has been considered, and a working proof-of-concept has been sitting around for years. http://projects.archlinux.org/?p=pacbuild.git;a=summary . What this kind of project really needs is someone with some distributed computing smarts and dedication (and time) to get it off the ground in a form that will survive past a proof-of-concept barebones implementation.
One of the largest design challenges would be dependency resolution for batch upgrades. For instance, let's say we update libfoobar, which is depended upon by foo, bar, baz, and batman, the system needs to know that libfoobar needs to be built and installed in order to compile the rest of them against it.

  • How do I get a license for Window Embedded CE 6.0 Platform Builder?

I downloaded the Windows Embedded CE 6.0 Platform Builder for Visual Studio 2005, but the trial license is no longer available. How do I go about getting a license for this product? How much is it?

We purchase our platform builder and run time licenses from MDS Pacific, they cover the India, South East Asia and Oceania regions.
The cost is around US$1300 (from what I remember) for platform builder, this includes a copy of Visual Studio (at least it does for WEC2013).
The cost for the run time license that needs to go with the devices you produce is around US$5 per license, but this very much depends on the quantity you are producing and the OS components that you are using.
If you are not in any of these regions, there is a company called Bsquare who operate in the US and Europe and other parts of Asia.
