Chat facebook problem with konqueror[SOLVED]

hello i have a problem with konqueror in facebook .i cannot chat with my friends .chat shows a message that the connection to chat cannot be accomplished .check you internet connection.i changed the indetification to firefox but the problem continues.i updated the system before two hours if this helps.

Can you not use other browsers like Firefox or Opera?.. or in fact any other on this list

Yes! Been living in a hellish nightmare since Sept-Oct. Unlike you, however, Apple has been of no help. They say the iPad is unhackable, plist and crash reports are none of my business and who understands them anyway, their route tracing apps are probably not reliable. The best they could do was wipe the iPad clean. Lost photos they said would be in the cloud....
Almost immediately was back in somebody's VPN, their remote controller, video, audio, working. Got the purple buddy for the first time today. I have been invaded, my iPad no longer feels like my own, I have lost thanksgiving, Christmas, new year trying to track down the invaders, signed up for a Cisco course, set/reset passwords.
I don't know who else to contact... Or what next to do.
I've read similar frustration in other posts, scattered around the support communities. Yours is the only one that has worked toward a solution.
How did you get anyone at apple to look at your logs and acknowledge there is a problem?
Would be happy for a suggestion on how to proceed. Already been the apple store genius and tech on phone route.

Blackberry Tour Facebook problem with confirming "Friend requests"

Until yesterday, my Facebook app worked perfectly on my Blackberry Tour. As of yesterday, I get an error when I try to "confirm" a "Friend request." I took out my battery and restarted, but the problem persists. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Spotify and facebook problem with the date

By default , RFC accept date format of SQL date (yyyy-mm-dd) . If you are using a date picker from WD, it directly set the date in SQL date format. Incase if you are trying to pass date to RFC in some other way you have to convert that into SQL date format before passing.
if you are passing String date of format dd-mm-yyyy , you try this method to convert that to SQL date and pass to your RFC.

Problems with microphone [Solv

I have a X-Fi Xtreme Gamer Low Profile-PCI card with headphones, and a standalone mic plugged into it.At first I had problems with this buzz sound while in "Entertainment Mode". This was pretty annoying. Then I switched to Gaming Mode, seemed to work out fine for a while. But after switching back and forth between Gaming Mode and Entertainment Mode the mic started catching up sounds from both the modes. So I decided to disable all recording devices, and still it does'nt help? I was a bit puzzled about this as I would expect the mic to be disabled/muted after doing this. [img"]http://img267.imageshack.us/img267/909/recordingdevicesqz3.jpg">?I've also tried to right click the the mic in the list of recording devices while it was enabled, and adjusted the slider for "Levels" as I thought this might be the volume control for the mic. But apparantly this has no effect at all. I would like to know:?What do I have to do too mute the mic completely in "Entertainment Mode"?I also want the mic not to playback my voice over the headphones, why would I like to hear myself speak? This worked perfectly fine?with my webcam mic while using my onboard soundcard. Only solution I have for now is to unplug the mic from the soundcard.
Currently using Vista 32-bit Home Premium

hehe..so you have problems with ur mic?I found a solution to my problem now. Mic volume slider was well hidden in vista..but that pretty much solved it. Thx for you reply though ?

Problem with MySQL (SOLVED)

Hello everybody. I have a problem with my MySQL server. Just installed it, ant when i try to start it:

I tryed to search some info in google, havent found anything.

I have a huge problem, it seems I can't login to my own mysql server
mysql -u root -p
Enter password:
ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)
The first time I started mysqld I got the same error as above. The script that should create an account stopped. Because of this I didn't set a root password. I think I never set a root password, but somehow mysqld expects one.
Could someone help?
btw: my host in rc.conf is not localhost and it's corresponding with the hostname in /etc/hosts

Really weird sound problem with rhythmbox[SOLVED]

Well, I can't find anything on this, so i'm posting it here. I have no sound problems with alsa or other gstreamer apps(totem, banshee plays sound just fine). But when I try to play something in rhythmbox it just does not work. Mostly there is no sound, but every couple of seconds you can hear a distorted sound that is suposed to be playing for a moment. Rhythmbox does not issue any warnings or errors when launched from terminal. Is this some kind of bug?

I had the same problem, but it disappeared yesterday. Try it run under root - it helped me. I dont really know how i fixed it, but it works under normal user now as well ...I hope there will be someone who knows.

Problems with sound [SOLVED]

Hi archers
since using arch... i've noticed when i log into my desktop, a little notification pops up on the bottom right hand side of my taskbar saying something along the lines
of
HDA Nvidia Playback is not working.... falling back to default.....
sound still works ok after this.... but I do alot of recording using qjackctl and ardour2........ Qjackctl refuses to connect because of the HDA Nvidia issue... it won't connect to it because it says its in use........... there is also a digital, default, and analog one to choose from, but none of them work. I know in other distrubutions of Linux, I had no problems with HDA nvidia sound working..... and no problems getting qjackctl to connect to it. I don't have any other soundcards on my mobo
I guess my question is........... does anyone know how to fix the issue with my correct Sound driver?

i might also add, this is the error when i try to connect to hda nvidia (which is my sound) from qjackctl
the playback device "hw:0" is already in use. Please stop the application using it and run JACK again
cannot load driver module alsa
Somehow the alsa driver module isn't loading when i log into my desktop? any ideas?

Ureka!!!GF 4 Ti 4800SE Problem with FS2002 Solved

Well Hello Every body, I finally could reach a solution to my proplem of black squares appearing in the texture all over the screen.
The Cure is simply to disable "texture Sharpening" option from the "Performance & Quality" Settings in the Nvidia GPU Display Settings Console.
Now Enjoy FS 2002 & 2004 and maybe other similar games which showed same problem even with triple filtering enabled.

I had this same problem with another game but for the life of me I cannot remember what it was.
I do remember what I did, I was playing around with the settings of the game and I experienced the same problem when enabling Trilinear filtering, objects appeared as a solid black image, while the shape remained, all the features or details were lost in black. I tried to disable it and I experienced a similar problem.
I uninstalled the game and re-installed it and then went to the developers website for any patches.

Facebook problems with IPhoto

I have IPhoto 09 and use it to publish photos to FB. Now when I choose my photo it brings up the box to allow who I want to view but then it will not allow me to select the Publish option. Only the Cancel is highlighted. I first noticed the problem about 2 months ago. Any suggestions??

Thanks so much. I had tried many suggestions from different forums and I had signed out of Facebook but would immediately sign back in. Once I tried your tip to sign out and close Facebook, then when I chose Publish from IPhoto it allowed me to sign in and link to IPhoto. I don't know how I lost the connection to begin with but this solved the problem. Have a Great Day!!

Facebook problem with my C6-00

I have purchased a C6-00 about a two weeks ago but after 10 days of usage nokia updated my device software, then I couldn't able to connect to facebook from main screen shortcut (or whatever you call it) and also from facebook in applications ...when I open the facebook widget , -which is always in the sing in page- ( but it was not before) and entered my mail and password, it always gives the same error (-undefined error-) ...and stays in the same screen...I couldn't find any solution around the web but I found many people shares the same problem!...I called the Nokia center and they replied my as "we can update or reinstall the drivers but thats all....we can't fix that problem...try to reboot your device"....so I rebooted it...guess what? nothing changed...still got the same problem and still can't connect to the facebook...please do not give silly answer like "make it online" or "did you connect it to wlan " ...I am an engineer not a moron....and this is a software problem...everything has happeden after ovi updated my phone software....waiting for your reply...

E63: Use chat/facebook etc with wifi only?

I get the feeling I'll be on this forum a lot while I work out how to use my phone
Earlier in the day I was web browsing on my E63 phone. I had gone to the browser by selecting my WLAN network, connecting it and from there going to 'start browsing'. Afterwards I checked my credit and it was still the same (around the $8 mark).
Later on, however, I went to the web by using the shortcuts on the home screen (Web and Facebook). I also used the built in chat program (the one under Installations) for a short time. When I checked my credit next it was pretty much at $0.
I am assuming (but I'm not sure) that when I used either the web/Facebook shortcuts and/or the chat application, they connected via my service provider (Optus) instead of through my WiFi.
Is there any way to a) work out which of these things was responsible for eating all my credit and b) make it so that the web and chat shortcuts automatically connect through wifi and not through my service provider? There may be an obvious answer somewhere but I couldn't find it in the manual, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Sorry that was so long, I'm just hoping I can figure this out. I bought this phone so I could chat and use the web through wifi so I wouldn't have to pay for it, and if I can't do that it will almost have been a waste

Thanks for your reply. I have managed to fix the problem by deleting the other access points and only having my WLAN, so it always asks before connecting (if I need the other ones I can always reenable them by saving the settings again from the original message).

Problem with solver DLL load and Excel 2010

Since upgrading from Office 2007 to Office 2010 we've started to experience a problem with the solver addin when our own analytics addins is also loaded. I have found a solution, but I think it may highlight a problem with the latest version of the solver
addin for Excel 2010.
Firstly, to describe the problem - the solver addin seems to load normally when Excel 2010 starts up, however when a "Solve" is performed we are seeing a "File not found: Solver32.dll" error at the final "Keep Solver Solution" stage. This only happens our
own analytics addin is loaded. We've been careful to make sure that our own addin does not change the working directory and also that it has been built against the correct Excel 2010 SDK libraries. We do not see this error with any other versions of Excel
running on the same PC or any other environment.
After some searching we found other people were having similar problems and after a bit more probing I found a solution that works - but that I'm not very happy with.
If I copy the Solver32.dll from:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office14\Library\SOLVER
(where it was installed)
into :
C:\Windows\SysWOW64
(where Windows 7 keeps its 32 bit system DLLs)
then the problem goes away.
This seems to indicate that somehow Office 2010 has a problem that causes it to search in the wrong folder for the Solver32.dll when another addin is loaded in between the original Solver32.XLAM at start up and the use of the Solver in the sheet (which eventually
requires this DLL to be loaded). Oddly, this only happens after a solution is found and "Keep Solver Solution" is selected - and I'm not sure why it's not looking for Solver32.dll any earlier.
This is not a problem with any earlier versions of Excel and I suspect is a bug in the Office14/LIBRARY/SOLVER implementation. Is there any way to get this followed up?

I'm facing the same issue. With an Excel VSTO add-in we're building. When the add-in is enabled the assembly solver32.dll can't be found. With our add-in disabled the DLL is resolved as (Sysinternals Process Monitor trace):

...I got a hotplug error saying:
...can't load module shpchp
missing kernel or user mode module shpchp
tried reinstalling the old kernel, it got rid of the warning but I still got the network problems with konqueror.

The 'kio_http' error is caused by db. Downgrade db and it should work.
You can add shpchp to /etc/hotplug/blacklist so hotplug won't try to load it.
