Chat& - Mouse Wheel in Screen Control

The subscriber controller mouse wheel actions do not seem to be functioning in the publisher share area, insofar as scrolling the browser pane, either in "Window" or "Application" mode. Is this a limitation of the ConnectNow add-in, or do I need to manually set up this capability in the appilcation?

Yup, this is a limitation of the addin.

  • Just upgraded to Firefox 4.0. when I scroll with the mouse wheel, the screen jumps as if it is redrawing with each wheel roll. IE does not do this, so it shouldn't be a hardware/mouse setting.

All other programs scroll smoothly as should be; what's happening in Firefox to cause this?

Noticed it only happens on my secondary monitor; on the primary, it scrolls just fine. Got any ideas on how to fix this?

  • When I want to zoom in or zoom out with the mouse wheel and CONTROL button the letters get larger but remain within the same size paragraph and any pictures remain the same. I want the entire page to zoom.

I want the entire page to zoom in and out when I use CONTROL + mouse wheel. Now the letters get larger but remain in the same size paragraph and also the pictures stay the same.

It is indeed scandalous that Apple sells useless scanned music scores. There is a warning when you chose to download music tabs or notes but it doesn't say that the score lines are very small and cannot be zoomed. I spent $30 on two books but cannot really use them on my MBA as you cannot zoom except for the double click which only works page per page and is only a small improvement.
The only way I can use the score more or less is on my ipad in landscape mode by increasing the font size to the max. The music score then becomes wider and you can read 2-3 lines per page without glasses.
If you could transfer the file to the pdf  "side" of the library in ibooks the zoom would work..
What does work is using the accessibility zoom mode option+command+= to zoom and then option+command+\ to smooth the picture but then your whole display desktop etc. are zoomed in.

  • Screen smooth scrolling with mouse wheel

I have a screen with a number of vertical sections that are initially all collapsed. After expending these sections the screen becomes too tall and I get a scroll bar on the right. Scrolling it by dragging a scroll bar has expected smooth scrolling but using the mouse wheel scrolls  why too large portion of the screen.
Any idea what to look for?
    Thanks

No, I do not have other parts installed. I saw this behavior by others last week in the Safari forum here at Apple too. They wrote about this could be happend by using fast user switching and only Safari 4 was effected. But now, as I saw this after upgrading to Safari 4.0.2 in Aperture too, there should be a biger bug elsewere in the System or maybe Webkit?

  • Chat& - Screen Control

Is the screen control available in the latest LCCS SDK just like the screen control which is in the http://connectnow.acrobat.com product? Specifically, while screen control is active, is dual cursor control enabled in the LCCS SDK version just like in the connectnow product? In other words, whoever is moving their mouse over the area is moving the cursor?

Thanks Nigel, found it in the 10.1 SDK docs. Now that I've played with it for a few days, I am happy to see that the screen control allows for cursor sharing just like in Adobe ConnectNow.
If I could make a request for the next version of the connect add-in, enable the screen control feature to change the controller cursor to sync up with that of the publisher, so that in a co-browsing situation, the controller knows when they have rolled over a web link in the publisher's screen.

  • Adobe Reader slow when mouse wheel scrolling in Full Screen mode.

When I scroll a pdf in normal mode, its fine, but when I try to view in Full Screen mode, the scrolling is much more slower and it takes more rolls of the mouse wheel to get to the next page. Does anyone know how to improve the scrolling function of the Adobe Reader when viewing a document in full screen mode?

Good that you solved your problem. There will probably be other users that need to solve the same problem and your solution might help many others. The support here comes from users helping other users.

  • Finer control with mouse wheel (Windows)

Lightroom is so much about speed of execution, and I would be even faster if it allowed me to use the mouse wheel to move sliders in the Development module effectively. Right now the mouse wheel moves the sliders in increments/decrements that are too large. E.g. slides for Recovery, Black and Fill Light go in steps of 3, the Brightness sometimes in steps of 9 sometimes of 10, depending on its current value, contrast in steps of 5. It is too coarse. All those slides should go 1 by 1, for fine tuning; color temperature should go, say, 100 by 100. For brisk adjustments I can already drag the slider or input a value.

Did you check the settings in the mouse driver software in case something has changed?
Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test.

  • Mouse wheel control isolation in html embed

I've been working on building a flash website, embedding it in html, and have one minor annoying feature that I'm trying to figure out how to get rid of... I've got it so that when the mouse hovers over scrollable content, the mousewheel can be used to scroll the text up and down - if the mouse is over other content in the embedded flash, it doesn't scroll that text section, just the browser window, which is perfect. The problem is that while the mousewheel is scrolling the proper text up and down, the browser is also affected, causing the whole page to bobble up and down as well (the network I'm building it on prevents scaling to fit multiple resolutions, so I'm stuck with fitting it to the resolution that most of our computers use and having other users deal with it being a little small or a little oversized). Is there some way to adjust the code so that when the scrollable text area picks up on the mouseover listen event to allow scrolling via mousewheel, it turns off the browser's scrolling, or am I just stuck with it?

The issue is that once scrolling has reached the bottom of the text area, and there is no more downward scrolling possible, the mouse's scroll wheel starts affecting the browser. The browser is, at this point, now capturing the mosue wheel event, and doing what it "thinks" it should be doing (default behavior). In your case, you want to prevent that...I think what you are looking for is a JavaScript solution (which I don't know of) that prevents the HTML page from receiving the mouse wheel scroll event. It is probably a tag-team effort of Flash getting focus (such as when it's been clicked on), and Flash losing focus, while telling JavaScript that fact so it can prevent handling the wheel event.
Here are some links for more background info:
    http://www.nbilyk.com/flash-prevent-browser-scroll
    http://fcontheweb.com/articles/scrollwheel/
A seperate suggestion that probably does nothing to help you out is to recommend if there is a Flash application in HTML, that it be the only application, without other HTML content requiring page scrolling. This is more of an overall design issue, as the rules of reality apply, not very practical for every case, either ;-)

  • Scroll with mouse wheel requires multiple "ticks" to start scrolling

I recently got a new mouse, and now when using firefox the scroll wheel doesn't want to work correctly. Everywhere else I can do single scroll ticks to scroll content, but in firefox a single tick scroll is just ignored as are multiple ticks if done somewhat slow. In order to get firefox to actually scroll with the mouse wheel I have to quickly do a few ticks at once. Doing so makes for very inaccurate control.
I've tried turning off smooth scroll, hardware acceleration, and pixel scroll, but none of those helped. Any help getting firefox to stop ignoring slow and single scroll ticks would be greatly appreciated.

  • Mouse wheel events are being caught by Photoshop document

    I'm using CSXSWindowedApplication.
If you create any document in Photoshop, then zoom into it, so it takes more space than visible screen area and then open a CS Extension panel - the mouse wheel event is being caught by Photoshop and when you're rolling it, Photoshop moves document up and down, instead. mouseWheel events don't reach neither WindowedApplication nor any control inside of it.
    This only happens in Photoshop.
    Are there any workarounds?
    Thank you!

Interesting. I've' not played with mouse wheel events. I'll have a look at it.
    Thanks

  • Mouse wheel: Illustrator != Photoshop

Is there any setting (hidden or otherwise) that will make the mouse wheel behave the same in Illustrator as it does in Photoshop? In particular, I would like the wheel to zoom without holding down the Alt key, and Shift+Wheel to zoom in whole multiples of 100%, just like in PS.
In my work, I have to switch back and forth between the two apps a lot, and the inconsistency drives me a little nuts.

I know this thread is old but this may be helpful to someone.
I use the program X-Mouse Button Control. http://www.highrez.co.uk/downloads/XMouseButtonControl.htm
    1. Create a new profile called Illustrator (or whatever you want).
    2. Panning:
For the Middle Button change the setting to "Simulated Keys" from the drop down. In the dialog box enter {space}{LMB} Under the "how to send the simulalted key strokes:" dropdown, select #3, During (press on down, release on up).
This configuration will let you click and hold the middle mouse button to pan around the screen i.e., the hand tool
    3. Zoom In/Out:
For the Wheel Up change the setting to "Simulated Keys" from the drop down. In the dialog box enter {CTRL}+ Under the "how to send the simulalted key strokes:" dropdown, select #3, During (press on down, release on up).
This configuration will let you roll the mouse wheel up to zoom in.
For the Wheel Down change the setting to "Simulated Keys" from the drop down. In the dialog box enter {CTRL}- Under the "how to send the simulalted key strokes:" dropdown, select #3, During (press on down, release on up).
This configuration will let you roll the mouse wheel down to zoom out.
    IMPORTANT!
For this to work correctly you need to change the default keyboard shortcuts "+" and "-" that would normally add or subtract anchor points. I changed mine to "Shift +" and "Shift-". X-Mouse gets confused at the end of the string. It thinks after you zoom in or out you want to either add or subtract a point depending on which way you rolled the wheel. This happens because of the "+" or "-" after the {CTRL}. By changing the shortcuts, the problem is eliminated and it defaults back to the last command you had running.
    Hope this helps!

  • How to use Mouse Wheel Events

    Hello Everyone

So Now my requirement is to control the delta value of mouse
wheel event and how to use that with my datagrid so that i will

    Thanks

please give me some suggestion around it.

  • How to remap mouse wheel in single application?

    Hello,
I want to achieve simple thing - control audio in Smplayer using mouse wheel. The tricky part is that I need to control the master volume on my AV receiver because the audio in videos is played as bitstream (DTS/AC3 over SPDIF). I'm able to modify the mouse wheel actions in mplayer but unfortunatelly Smplayer doesn't allow such remapping: http://smplayer.sourceforge.net/forum/v … f=2&t=6077
I already use xbindkeys with xvkbd for application specific remapping of both keyboard and mouse. I can remap the wheel for Smplayer window but I'm unable to figure out how to make sure the wheel will work for other applications as well - I'm just unable to simulate mouse wheel action for applications other than Smplayer. (Or is there any other way how to not modify the button for other applications?)
If I try only simulating the wheel, it doesn't work...
    # .xbindkeysrc
    "xdotool click 4"
    m:0x0 + b:4
    # or
    "xvkbd -text "\m4""
    m:0x0 + b:4
However if I add "sleep 0.2" before xvkbd or xdotool, it works (but this is unacceptable delay for me). Also if I try to simulate wheel on keyboard press, it works even without the sleep.
    Any help or suggestion?

    not really.. sorry

  • SWF in iFrame - How to get mouse wheel to work

I have been searching for a solution to this for a few days
without any luck. I was hoping someone here may have come across
this problem and know of a solution, or know if it just is not
    possible.
I have a static page which consists of an iframe, picture and
a div with some links. The image is an image map and set to load
all links within the iframe. The flash itself is a 360 degree
panoramic view with hotspots (links) within the file that also
point to other pages. My issue is that the mouse wheel scroll is
supposed to be a zoom in/out feature, which work with the flash
file and full screen view. However, when the file is loaded within
the iframe, the scroll wheel on the mouse will only scroll the page
and will not interact with the flash file at all.
The problem seems to be with the following browsers (PC):
    Chrome 0.4
    Opera 9.5
    Firefox 3.0
The zoom works in IE6, although the page does scroll with it.
When I disabled the page from scrolling (see index2.html) the zoom
stops working. This is probably due to the code used to disable the
mouse. I really need to try to get the mouse wheel to zoom in
FireFox 3 though. The large majority of our visitors are PC users
with FireFox 3 or IE 7, so these are the two most important
    browsers to have working.
The pages are still currently under development but examples
    are online here:
    http://www.utoledo.edu/campus/virtualtour/maincampus/index.html
    -Normal page
    http://www.utoledo.edu/campus/virtualtour/maincampus/index2.html
    -Page with scrolling disabled
Does anyone have any ideas for a possible solution? Thanks
for taking the time to help.

As far as I know, there is no facility for detecting mouse scrolling wheel in JDK 1.3.
Check it in the later releases of JDK.
