Cheaper in the Store than online?

I was thinking about getting the MacBook Pro... Is it cheaper to get it at the Apple Store or is it the same price as the online store?

MacMall.com may be a little bit cheeper but the employee at the Apple Store here told me he would match it. I just purchased a new MacBook Pro about two weeks ago. My sales rep turned out to be the store manager. I didn't know this and when he explained to me that no car charger are available yet and that the cellular modem for the ExpressCard 34 that they brag about had not yet been invented (or at least available) and that none of my classic applications would work I told him to forget the sale, I was just going to order a Dell Computer instead. He suddenly offered me a free memory upgrade and a free mac.com subscription.

Why is the iPhone 5C £319 from apple and £399 from the likes of Carphone Warehouse or Virgin Mobile??
What am I missing?
Having been with Virgin for a very long time and using basic phones I need something that's going to let me do what I need on the go without lagging and crashing so I'm going for an iPhone...possibly the 5C.

If Apple has decided to sell the 5C at £319 ( as shown on UK store) it will be NOT carrier locked and will work with any of the UK Apple Approved carriers ,including Virgin
(forget CPW their units will lock to the first carrier sim used )
I imagine if you have a contract Virgin will provide the correct sim provisioned for your number ,but ask them first

Different pricing in at&t store than online Apple store

I just got back from the AT&T store where I was going to preorder the 32 gig iPhone 3GS as the online Apple Store said that I was eligible for an early upgrade. I figured that I'd preorder at AT&T so that I could head in at 7:00 AM on the 19th and pick it up with (hopefully) little hassle.
The salesman brought up my account and said that I was not eligible for the $499 price, I could only buy it outright for $699. I asked why there was a discrepancy between the web and in-store and he didn't know. I got home a few minutes ago and ended up preordering online so that it will be shipped to me but now I'm going to have to keep an eye out for its delivery.
Anyone else have this problem with the AT&T store not reflecting the online price from the Apple store?

Paying retail in the store more expensive than buying online?

So I went to the BB store and most of the phones are going for about $500. The salesman told me that going without a contract would require me to pay the full retail price of the phone. But I go on bestbuy.com and I am able to choose phones with no contract for $200. How is that possible? Was I just looking at cheap phones on the site? I was looking at a blackberry on the site for about $200. Not sure what I saw at the store, but they were in the smartphone class.

It depends on the type of phone you are buying. The phones online you are seeing without a contract are probably locked phones that once you decide to use them you must use a specific service like Boost Mobile. I saw a Blackberry from Boost Mobile for about $200 online. With Boost you pay for a monthly service card which activates the phone for a set amount of time. When that time runs out you either buy another card or the phone disconnects. You should really pay close attention to these service cards and how they work, if you want continuous coverage they are not really that great a discount.
These phones are not available online though and are only In Store - ask for the no contract phones. If the store has any they are located in a different spot than the $500 ones.
There are also refurbished "unlocked" phones in the Outlet Center selling for about $200. These come without a SIM card and you would just move one from an existing phone to these to use them.
The $500 ones are in some cases better than either of the types above, but in most cases the types above are subsidized by whomever is selling them (like Boost) or refurbished (used phones someone else no longer wanted and cleaned up). The $500 ones are the "true" cost of the phone and the 2-year contract is the subsidization.
Before posting I try to research everything first or use my own experiences. I do not now nor have I ever worked for Best Buy. I work for the competition.

probably not as it will know the card isnot registered in the US and may even charge you for postage. could you not get it from your country? I maybe cheaper (with the exchange rate) and quicker for delivery

I don't know where you even want to upload this software. The only way it can be downloaded to a device is through the iTunes store. Do you even know what you want to do?

i read in several places that buying the iphone 4 from the apple online store will get u a SIM free version. i wanted to know if you go to the Apple store, can we still get the iphone 4 SIM free straight from the store. Or is getting the iphone from the online store the only way to get it sim free?

Theoretically, yes, you should be able to walk into an Apple store and purchase a sim free iPhone.
However, if you were thinking of doing this on 24th, then I would not bother, unless you have either pre-ordered or reserved for in store pick up. You probably will not get one on launch day, unless you are prepared to go and camp outside your local Apple store from perhaps midnight on Wednesday, or 3 or 4am on Thursday.
I am sure there will be lots of disappointed people on launch day who come away without a phone. Unless you have reserved, then I would wait or go and order directly from the Apple UK store and you will get it delivered by July 14th then.

Online plan differs from plan the store stated I received, how long to wait?

I just upgraded from a Galaxy Nexus to the Droid Maxx at our local store in Redlands, CA, I did not want to change my current voice plan and unlimited data. They assured me would just add another line at 9.99/month and everything else would not change with the benefit of getting the upgrade discounted price.
However once home the online the plan indeed had changed and the cost has increased ($39.00 after employee discount up to $66.77/month after discounts, original for each was $50 and $79.97 respectively) and the shared minutes from 500 to 700. In addition to the 9.99/month for the additional line.
I called back the store and the rep assured me she'd already spoken to verizon customer service while I was there as she noted the difference and they already adjusted everything so that the charges for the plan wouldn't change, only the additional cost of 9.99 for the new line with the added benefit of additional minutes for no additional fees. She rechecked and stated that my online account at verizonwireless.com wasn't displaying the correct information and that my old pricing and employee discounts was still intact, only difference now was the 700 shared minutes.
How can I be sure this is indeed the case when my account information at verizonwireless.com itself isn't displaying the correct information?

Online pre-order never made it to the store

I placed an online pre-order for the "guilty gear xrd sign limited edition" for ps3 (sku: 9317061) on 11/20/14. A few days later I needed to change the payment method, but couldn't, so I had to place a new order for the same item on 12/11/14, and cancel the old order. For both orders I selected to have the item sent to Store 513 (Northlake, GA) for pick up.
On the 22nd I received an email stating that the item would be ready for pick on the 23rd, which was the official release date for the game, but when I went to the store to pick the game up it wasn't there and nobody knew what happened to it. While I was still in the store I called the "888 best buy" number to see if I could get any information from them. They spoke to one of the associates in the store, who then told me that they would try to find out what happened to the item, and see if they could order a replacement. They said that they would call me later to update me on the situation, but they never called back. Later that day I called the 888 number again and the person I spoke to was able to contact the store again to try and get the situation sorted out. I was again told that the store would give me a call with more information, but that call never came.
The next morning, 12/24, I received an email stating that the item was going to be available for pick up, and as of writing this the order status still shows "ready for pickup." This time I called the store to verify, and once again they told me they didn't know where the item was or what happened to it. I then called the 888 number to see if I could get any information from them, but the person I spoke to was rude and barely let me finish explaining the situation. When I was finally able to finish explaining she simply told me there was nothing she could do since the item is out of stock, and I should just cancel the order and buy it somewhere else.
I don't know if the order can be replaced, but I just wanted to know if I could get a more definitive answer from someone about what happened to my item so I can prevent this from happening again.

Admittedly, I’m not too familiar with Guilty Gear Xrd –SIGN-, but I’ve seen a decent amount of posts about it! I know the Limited Editions of games like this are usually pretty sought after, so I’m very sorry to hear that you may not have received a copy, especially if you pre-ordered. I’m happy to research this and offer an explanation as to why this may have occurred.
Using your email address on file for the forums, I was able to locate your pre-order. From what I can see, the pre-order has been cancelled, which is likely do to you not picking up your copy. Furthermore, it appears the stores in your area may have not received inventory for this title, which is likely due to inventory constraints since it’s a Limited Edition version of the game. When looking on BestBuy.com, I do also see the Limited Edition is sold out.
Again, I sincerely apologize if you pre-ordered and didn’t receive a copy. We do our absolute best to fulfill all pre-orders placed with us, but, there may be times where constrained inventory may result in some pre-orders not being fulfilled.
