Check active connection  to XI

Hi,
I am currently using the Function module “RFC_SYSTEM_INFO” to check if the connection to XI is active, Is there are any other means to determine like a different FM or form routine?
Thanks,
Vijay

Vijay,
The RFC "RFC_SYSTEM_INFO", basically brings the information by executing the function module. By which u can only say that RFC destination of type R/3 connection is working fine. This can be also achieved by creating an RFC destination of type 3.
In SM59 (of XI server)just do "Connection Test" and "Remote Log on", and then you can say that connection is active.
It basically depends on what u want to do. If u r working on proxies there are some things that should be done.
Any questions...post.
-Naveen.

I get the above error when I try to activate iMessage or face time on my iPhone 5 iOS 7.0.2.

I too faced the same problem . I was using imessage in ios6 and when i upgraded , There were issues like ,
check network connections and Try again . , Connect to itunes for Push notifications . It was irritating and annoying for everyone i guess
Steps to Resolve the i meeage issue
    1) Connect your phone to P.C and Back up your datas to P.C via I tunes
    2) Once the back up is complete . Connect your phonbe to Wifi or 3G cellular network and  Boldly go to Settings-->General --> Reset--> Erase all datas
( Do not worry if you had backed up your datas )
    3) Iphone will reboot . it will take some time
    4) Then your iphone will start . Click next and you will be prompted for i message activation . Give your apple id and Sign in
5)Keep your phone connected . In P.C you will be prompted if you want to restore ( EOther wise go to I tunes --> File --> Device--> Restore back up
It really worked for me .
    Hope this is clear.

  • DBCPpool Active connections / DB down

    Greetings,
I seems to have a strange problem with DBCP and Oracle Connection poll mechanism. Here how it goes.
    1. Get Database connection from DBCP BasicDataSource ds
    ex :- conn = ds.getConnection()
    2. Create a Statement from conn, conn.createStatement()
    3. Get ResultSet from Statement stmt, stmt.executeSql(sql)
    4. Now, Shutdown the oracle DB or disconnect the client from Server (remove the Lan cable)
    5. execute one more SQL query like stmt.executeSql(sql)
    6. SQL Exception is thrown at during point 5 , like 17002:I/O error
    7. Exception is occurred if i close the connection, conn.close(); (Error Code 0 and message is connection is already closed)
    8. At this point, DBCP is not returning the connection to ideal pool, means Connection still has active status and we can check the active status from BasicDataSource like bs.getNumActive()
I think its bug with DBCP if now I hope someone can to light to solve this issue.

I believe these are all processes on each DBs, could you please execute following query to get actual running proceses on your DB.
    SELECT dbid,
    DB_NAME(dbid) as DBName,
    COUNT(dbid) as NumberOfConnections,
    loginame as LoginName
    FROM
    sys.sysprocesses
    WHERE
    dbid > 0 and status='running'
    GROUP BY
    dbid, loginame
as there will be various status of processess exists on your DB.
    1. does that makes a traffic load on my database? -- If the number of processes are pretty high, then apparantly this will be traffic load.
    3. how can i stop / control getting that much number of active connection ? -- Try to get active connection by following command.
    sp_who2 'Active'
    Thanks

  • "Error! Check activation"... What should I do?

I just bought my first epub book from Guilford Press and downloaded ADE for it. However, it won't let me read the book, and only says: "Error! Check activation". What should I do? I am using a regular PC.

I am not a computer specialist and have a real horror from editing my registry (apart from the fact that I think that a program that requires manual registry intervention is not really well programmed). I am confused by two comments in this thread, one says: Just edit the registry manually, the other says you also need to change your Adobe ID. Do I need to create a new ID? Should I also uninstall Digital Editions in between and install it back? Can someone just list down, what I have to do from the entire picture? Currently, I have Digital Editions 4.0.3.110333 installed, I have an authorization which I can not erase with ADE. I run everything with a ThinkPad E530 computer on Windows 7 (including all updates). I have Avira Antivirus Pro installed. Should I cut the internet connection and switch off the antivirus for the work on the registry and the re-authotization or would the re-authorization not work?
Please give detailed instruction so that I can try it without failing.

  • What does Mail do when "checking account connections" (accountverbindingen controleren)?

Maii does something called "accountverbindingen controleren" (checking account connections)
    Activity window full text:
    accountverbindingen controleren
    verbinden met server 'smtp.<ISPname>.com'
    (checking account connections
    connecting to server 'smtp.<name>.com')
It seems to do this every time Mail encounters a glitch in the connection or when I did something in Preferences.
The result often seems to be that I get blocked on the common mail ports at my ISP for "spamming activity"
What does Mail actually do when it says this?
and how can I stop/prevent Mail doing this?

Everything that is pre-installed on the iPad is free : http://www.apple.com/ipad/built-in-apps/
You can also download a copy of the iPad manual from here which has brief chapters on each of the built-in apps (plus iBooks which is a free download) : http://support.apple.com/manuals/ipad/
In terms of when you will be charged, then that will happen when you click on 'buy' on an item in the store (they are charged immediately). Some apps also allow you to make in-app purchases within them (though you can prevent them being possible by setting restrictions on the iPad via Settings > General > Restrictions : understanding restrictions).  Some apps also allow you to take out auto-renewing subscriptions within them which are charged automatically each week/month/year until you cancel them e.g. newspaper and magazine apps.
Note that whenever you change the credit card details on your account you may see a temporary store holding charge on it, which should disappear within a few days - so if you've just created your account don't be surprised if you see a $1 'charge' on it for a few days

  • IMessage - could not sign in please check network connection

    Hi,
I have 3 macs and a couple of iDevies. All was working fine... Suddenly iMessage does not work on my iMac. All other devices tied to the account have no problem with messages. At first it gave me: "could not send the message please check network connection". After tinkering and waiting a couple of days I then tried to log out and then log in again... Bad idea; I now it gives me a similar message but that it cannot sign in.
AIM and all other internet services work without an issue, no problem with other Apple ID services.
Thanks for any and all ideas.
    Regards,
    Philly

This could be a complicated problem to solve, as there are many possible causes for it. Test after taking each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. Back up all data before making any changes.
Before proceeding, test on another network, if possible. That could be a public Wi-Fi hotspot, if your computer is portable, or a cellular network if you have a mobile device that can share its Internet connection. If you find that iMessage works on the other network, the problem is in your network or at your ISP, not in your computer.
    Step 1
Check the status of the service. If the service is down, wait tor it to come back up. There may be a localized outage, even if the status indicator is green.
    Step 2
Restart your broadband device and your router, if different. You may have to skip this step if you don't control those devices.
    Step 3
    From the menu bar, select
     ▹ About This Mac
Below the "OS X" legend in the window that opens, the OS version appears. Click the version line twice to display the serial number. If the number is missing or invalid according to this web form, take the machine to an Apple Store or other authorized service center to have the problem corrected.
    Step 4
Take the steps suggested in this support article. If you don't understand some of the steps or can't carry them out, ask for guidance.
    Step 5
    From the menu bar, select
     ▹ System Preferences ▹ Network
If the preference pane is locked, click the lock icon in the lower left corner and enter your password to unlock it. Then click the Advanced button and select the Proxies tab. If the box marked SOCKS Proxy is checked, uncheck it. You don’t need to change any other settings in the window. Click OK and then Apply. Test.
The result may be that you can't connect to the Internet at all. Revert the change if that happens, or if iMessage still doesn't work. Remember that you must Apply any changes you make in the preference pane before they take effect.
    Step 6
    Select from the menu bar
     ▹ System Preferences… ▹ Flash Player ▹ Storage
    and click
Block all sites from storing information on this computer
    Close the preference pane.
    Step 7
Make sure you know the ID and password you use with iMessage. Launch the Keychain Access application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Keychain Access in the icon grid.
Use the search box in the toolbar of the Keychain Access window to find and delete all items with "iMessage" in the name. Log out and log back in.
    Step 8
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
If iMessage worked in the guest account, stop here and post your results.
    Step 9
Boot in safe mode and log in. Note: If FileVault is enabled on some models, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including Wi-Fi on certain iMacs.  The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and test again.
If iMessage worked in safe mode, but didn't work when you booted out of safe mode, stop here and post your results.
    Step 10
    Reset the NVRAM.
    Step 11
    Reinstall OS X.
    Step 12
If none of the above steps resolves the issue, make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store, or contact Apple Support.

    thank you

You will need to activate GPRS on you SIM card. You can call your network provider and ask them if GPRS(WAP) is active on your SIM.
You will also need to get the settings for your specific phone and network configured on the phone. You can do that by visiting this link : http://europe.nokia.com/A4144889

  • JMS Server active connections keep incrementing when calling jms webservice

I was doing performance and resources consumption analysis of the CGBU Activation product and noticed that when interacting with jms transport web service the number of active connections (JMS Servers/Monitoring/Active Connections in Admin Console) keeps incrementing at the rate of invoking methods on the web service. The number of active connections, when disconnecting the client from the server, doesn't change.
I've stripped down the web service so it doesn't do anything at all and connect to it via a web service client. When, through admin console, I check the number of active connection in the jms server, it goes up by the number of calls to the jms web service.
Can anyone tell if this is a known issue in WebLogic jms transport implementation for web services?

  • Nokia X6 - unexplained active connection

my X6 keeps creating an Active Connection to vodafone GPRS.  I'll check my phone periodically, and will find that it has created an active connection to vodafone GPRS (showing the E symbol on the home screen).
    Why?
When i find an active connection, i go to Connectivity - Connection mgr - and physically disconnect the active connection to save battery power.
the network mode is manually set on the phone as GSM - the vodafone GPRS signal in edinburgh varies and the GSM signal is always good.
operator selection is set to automatic.
cell info display is set to off.
Could it be a setting in Destinations?
    Or in Admin Settings?
I have very few apps and would be surprised if any of them were creating the connection - how could i check?
I hope someone may be able to help...?
    Thanks

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

oh dear - another unexplained connection established this morning!
i've checked the packet data setting - it was set to "when needed".
I've taken the bold step of deleting "Vodafone internet GPRS" from the list of internet destinations.  I now only have wifi connections stored in the internet destinations folder.
I expected therefore to now be unable to connect to the internet via GPRS, and this has indeed happened.  I will phone vodafone and get them to resend the GPRS settings via text.
    Boring.
In the meantime i know for sure that the phone won't be able to establish any unexplained connections!
    the mystery continues though.....
i'll wait a while though - something (an app) may prompt me that it wants to connect to the internet and so i'll hopefully be able to identify the culprit then!

  • HT204053 When I try to login to my apple ID on my iphone 4 to use facetime, it will not work and tells me to check my connection?  I have even tried creating a new apple ID but the same message appears

When I try to log onto my Apple ID to use facetime, it will not work and tells me to check my connection.  I have even tried creating a new apple ID but the same message appears.  I do not understand why this is happening, could anyone help me resolve this issue it is very frusterating that I can not enable facetime or imessage.

I could do that, however when I select the icloud button (or whatever the heck it is) I am asked to enter the apple id and password. So if you are suppose to create another one for icloud you'd think it would give you the option at this point which would be logical.
