Check box next to title

Tere is a small box to check next to a song title. Is there a way to check all or uncheck all?
Thanks

You can also select any number of tracks, say one album's worth, and while they are all highlighted, right click and you can check or uncheck the selected bunch.

  • Function of the check box in column "title"?

    What is the function of the check box in the "title" column of the music area?
    I cannot see any difference, either or not the check box is ticked. ???

    The check boxes have a variety of uses:
    Unchecked songs will be skipped when playing songs from the library or a selection. They will only play when individually clicked on.
    Smart Playlists have an option that unchecked songs won't appear.
    Unchecked songs will not be burned to CD.
    The iPod has an option to only update checked songs

  • How do I tally values that only have a ticked Check Box next to them?

    Hi Folks,
    I'm new to Acrobat forms and have recently finished a complicated 7 page form for a client and I am quite pleased with it.
    But the client has come back with the following request:
    They want Check Boxes next to a series of values and, when a Check Box is ticked, it only adds that ticked value. To show what I mean, please see the below image.
    So basically, there is a field on the left-hand side (Current Monthly Repayments) that tallies all the values - in my example this totals $50.00. Then, there is a field on the right-hand side (Future Monthly Repayments) that needs to tally only the values that have a ticked "Yes" Check Box next to them. In my example, this would produce a tally of $20.00.
    Does anyone know how this could be done?
    Thank you

    Yes, that's perfect. Try the following custom calculation script:
    // Custom calculation script for future monthly repayments field
    (function () {
         // Initialize variables
         var i, cb, v, sum = 0;
         // Loop through each row and add repayment value if Yes is checked
        for (i = 1; i < 7; i += 1) {
            // Get the value of the check box
            cb = getField("CashFlowCheck" + i).valueAsString;
            // Get the value of the repayment field, as a number
            v = +getField("CashFlow" + i).value;
            // Add the value to the sum if the check box is checked
            if (cb === "Yes") {
                sum += v;
        // Set this field's value to the sum, rounded to the nearest cent
        event.value = util.printf("%.2f", sum);

    FWIW, the help text you posted does not apply to check box form fields, but rather Comments.
    What you need to do is change the Check Box Style, which can be set to Check, Circle, Cross, Diamond, Square, or Star.
    To do so manually, open the DPF, select "Forms > Add or Edit Fields", select one or more of the check boxes, right-click and select Properties, go to the Options tab, and select the style you want from the Check Box Style drop-down.

  • How do I list product details   using   check boxes to save having to write the same info over and o

    Hi there
    First of all
    Happy New Year and I hope everyone is well all the best for the future
    Now...... back to the point
    What I want to do is........
    I am making a jewelry ... necklace... shopping site for my girlfriend.... well.... my wife in two weeks.... This site has been a loooong time coming.... I am still not happy with it so it still not public.... but is working ok She very upset it taking more than a year.... but I am still learning and I always want it better
    Anyway
    I have hundreds of Necklace details to enter..... i thought it would be easy but it is very tmie consuming...... So ...
    The necklaces are made from different kinds of stones.... turquoise .. agate ... and about a hundred more different kinds of stones
    In my add product form I have a field for entering product details..... to enter the different kinds of stones the necklaces are made from..... sometimes more than twenty for one necklace..... So what I want to do is have check boxes... or radio boxes to choose what stones to add to the description..... So I can have a list of about fifty different kinds of stones all with a check box next to them so that when you choose a box that stone name would appear in the product description
    Sounds easy but I can't figure out how to do it.....
    I think I need a different table in my database a 'stone_neck' field to store all the stone names.... about 50 fields..... .... with an id field and a name field and maybe a display field ....... I think
    Does that sound correct.......?
    If so then how do I display the details in a field in a table in my product detail page? I think I need a recordset on my detail page that gets all the stone names.... but how do I display the names of the stones that I have checked in the addprod form ? Do I need to put all every one of the stone info from the bindings panel? and then show region if .......
    i am confused
    If anyone has any ideas it would be great
    Have a great day

    Maybe you can take tips by visiting sites of prominent jewelry brands like Tiffany to get some ideas of how to structure your product list details.
    Just a thought.

  • I am new to using flash and need to know how to add check boxes and forms

    I have been going mad trying to figure this out as well as searching until exhaustion.
    So I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction.
    Okay here is what I am trying to accomplish.
    I have laid out my design as a psd and brought it into adobe flash pro cs5.
    I have menu items such as toppings that I want to put check boxes next to each and then once someone goes thru the page and places their choices,I want to be either be emailed what they have chosen from the form... This seems like it might be the easier of the ways to capture data, Or if there is a better way in flash to capture this data, I would take that as well.
    SO here is as far as I can get.
    Imported the psd and added one checkbox in front of the first item and labeled it strawberries. Now I really don't want the word strawberries to show up at all on the page,just the checkbox. But I am not sure if the label for the checkbox actually passes on the value of the checkbox.
    I admit I am lost.
    I did also slice and export this same image into dreamweaver and then I made a separate apDiv for each checkbox, and added into a form. It emails the results,but it is not outputting it in a very readable way.
    Oh I also brought this int Flash Catalyst and added the checkboxes, but I don't know where to go from there.
    So if anyone can let me know the proper way to do this or point me to some videos or tutorials or even a sample file that I can alter....
    I would really appreciate it.
    Thanks

  • Check box validation using Javascript

    Hi Everyone,
    I am using LiveCycle with my form that have multiple sections in the form that have questions that have a check box yes or  check box no next to it.  The user can either choose yes or no. Note: I am not using radio buttons.   I am looking for a Javascript function or code that when clicking a button I have set up as "regular" can check to see if a user selected either check boxes (yes) or check box (no) and validate that in that section the user has answered all question by selecting either yes or no.  Example; Section (1) has (5) questions with a yes or no check box next to each question.  I want to validate that the user selected 5 check boxes for this section (regardless if yes or no was answered for each)  if only 2 out od the 5 questions were answered with either yes or no.  I generate an error message.
    I already have a function that searches the form and tells me how many manditory text fields have been left blank and throws an error.  I would like the check box function to be the same.  Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

  • The check box for syncing apps not showing in iTunes Apps page

    My new iPad is syncing Books, iTunes U, Movies and Music but not Apps. When I look in iTunes on my iMac the option box to sync apps is not there. It just says Apps all the other pages, Music, TV Show, Podcasts etc. have a check box for syncing. Any idea why Apps does not?

    In the iTunes User Guide it shows a sync check box next to Apps as you can see it's not there.
    I do see the Sync check box for Music, Movies, etc.

  • Very elementary....what is the check box for in itunes?

    Would someone please enlighten me on the functionality of the check boxes next to items in itunes? I check several songs I want to delete and then click Edit>Delete but only the ONE ITEM selected by the cursor is deleted. OK, so I know how to do shift-click to select a number of items then click Edit>Delete, but what in the dog-gone world is the check box for?!? when I search for help on "Check Box" no results are found. Also, if you like to show me how non intuitive I am by demonstrating how to find this solution in the Help menu, I would love to learn something from the exercise. Otherwise, I'm going to believe, beyond belief, that the itunes help is not very helpful!
    Thanks, inspite of this insanely simple problem!
    Alan

    you can multiple select songs from your list by using the CTRL or SHIFT keys, and then you can right-click on the selected items and choose delete.
    the check box is actually for auto-syncing; which means that if you have some songs checked in your library, then you connect your ipod, those checked songs will automatically update on your ipod, or transfered. (of course, thats only true if you have the auto-sync option selected, and not manual update).
    another thing for the checked box; if you change anything to the song like ID tags, or artwork, .... they will automatically be changed and updated on that song on the ipod next time you plug it in.
    i found out that this check box thing is useful if you wanna update your ipod ONLY with the new songs added recently to your library. this way, your ipod wont update all songs, it will only do the ones checked.
    you can also right click on a bunch of songs and choose check selection, or uncheck selection.
    hope i didnt forget anything, and i hope that helps.

  • Check boxes and ok button and displayed results, oh my!

    In a forms page, I have a report.
    I like to put check boxes next to the rows.
    Then when I click on an OK button it will display what I checked off, possibly on this same page.
    How do I create this concerted effect?

    Apex_item.checkbox will let you manually create check box. If it's a tabular form, you can add a row selector.
    e.g
    SELECT APEX_ITEM.CHECKBOX (30,
    NULL,
    NULL,
    'F30_' || LPAD (ROWNUM, 4, '0')
    )delete_checkbox FROM DUAL;
    You can only see the values where items are checked. So you may want to develop some logic to find out rows where items are not checked. Something similar to this
    FOR this IN 1 .. apex_application.g_f30.COUNT
    loop
    display(these values are checked);
    end loop;
    rest of the rows are unchecked.

  • Restored Using time machine, now I have no check boxes.

    So my hard drive deceided to stop working not too long ago, so I got a new one and booted from a time machine back up. After the restore, oddly enough, I do not see check boxes anywhere. Whether it is on a website, or on a system preference page, if there is an option with a check box next to it, it does not appear for me. However, I can still select these checkboxes (assuming of course that I am in the right spot while clicking at essentially nothing).  In addition to this craziness, if I click on my volume option in the toolbar on the top, I see an empty box where the volume selection meter used to be. I can still change the volume by clicking somewhere in the empty rectangle, but the problem is that I do not see anything. Not only that, but I also noticed that my keyboard will no longer allow me to adjust the volume or the brightness.
    One other weird thing is that everytime I try to do a new back up in time machine, it lags out and fails. So there is a lot of weirdness happening, and all of this happened after I restored. I tried marking this post as a question, but I'm not sure if that was successful (you have click on a checkbox for that). Please help.

    You posted your question in the OS 9 & below forum, so you won't get an answer here. You need to repost in the Snow Leopard OS 10.6 forum at https://discussions.apple.com/community/mac_os/mac_os_x_v10.6_snow_leopard

  • Inserting a Check Box

    I have CS2. This should be an easy thing, but I can't figure out how to do it. I have made a table, and I want to type text and put a check box next to it, and I don't see how to do that. Please help. Thanks.

    There are many ways to create a check box (filled or empty).
    Fonts to look for include Zapf Dingbats and Wingdings. There are others, but these two are common enough.
    Use the Glyphs Pallete to add the dingbats/wingdings. Use the Bullets and Numbering to automate adding them. You can create a new column in the table to hold the check boxes, or you can edit your paragraph style to make the text have a hanging indent for the check box glyph.
    Using the paragraph style with a defined bullet is, IMO, the best option for "automating" placement of a check box. Go to the Bullet and Numbering section and change the list type to bullet, click the Add. button, define the font and select the desired glyph. Don't forget to set the indents.
