How can we print a small sqare (like a check box) in the smartforms?
I need these boxes in front of
cash
dd
cheque
The use can tick this by pen on the hard copy

you can use either any one of the follwings in your text elements.

in the print preview, it wont be visible. but when you take the print on the paper you will see the check box.

      I need to have pageprotection for a table node in smartform.
The issue is the pageprotection check box is disabled in outputoptions of table node.I tried to create a folder & put this table node inside the folder. Then also the pageprotection check box is diabled in outputoptions of my folder. Pls guide me in resolving this issue. Do we have any other go to have page protection for the table node.Table node is must in my requirement.

                   I think Page protection is not possible inside the table node it wont work.
                          Better create seperate templates for header data and main area,footer .you can create loop for main area and try page protection command inside the loop.

Change the editor to 'PC Editor' and take the menu.
Include -> Characters -> SAP Symbols
Check this also.

How to increase the size (Length and width) of check box

Hi All,
I have to increase the size of ( width and length) of check box, I have revised to check box topic in dev guide but didnt find any clue, i have also tried to use CCStyle class but that is also not working, I would appreciate if some can help me out on this. Thanks in advance , let me know if any clarification required.

I honestly don't know how to increase the size
But i am giving you an alternate solution : we can create two Images with check box type 1 ) with checked
2 ) with unchecked . ( you can create image of any size ) and get them displayed on OAF screen dynamically using switcher case .
Dynamically displaying image will give the illusion of check box being checked and unchecked .
keep this image moved to following media directory
eg : /oraapp/mfgtestcomn/java/oracle/apps/media .
Implement the switcher case , add the fire action to this Image Column , create a transient attribute and attach to this
column . Depending on the value returned by transient attribute display the image on the column .

Auto Convert Doesn't Do the Check Boxes

I created a document in Word, created a PDF from it and am turning it into a form. The form only consists of lines and check boxes. The check boxes are square and begin blank. I want the user to put an x or a check (I don't care) in them as necessary.
I used the automatic convert and it created fields where there were lines perfectly. But it ignored all the check boxes. Isn't there a way for it to automatically convert them too?

Additional three thoughts: First, is there anything I can do while still in MS Word to enable Acrobat to see the check boxes easier? Different font? Same font, but different "character"? Etc. Second, if there is no way the check boxes can be recognized and converted, is there a way to do an after-the-fact search-and-replace, searching for the check boxes and replacing them with clickable boxes. By the way, I don't need to capture data; I just need for people to be able to fill out the form on their computer and print it. Third, if Acrobat can't do this, is there third-party form software that recognizes check boxes?

Check box printing

I created a form in InDesign cs6 that contains check boxes. I exported the form as an interactive pdf.
When I check the boxes and print the form it only prints the check mark and not the boxes around the checkmark.
The unchecked boxes print just fine.
This is probably something silly, but I can't figure it out!
I'm not even sure if this should be fixed in InDesign or Acrobat...

If it's not a bug, I'd say this is related to one of the many settings in Adobe Reader/Acrobat.
I never used such before, but I made a test how it turns out and it freaks me out what crap Adobe's programmers did here:
Original in Indesign CS6 Exported PDF in Acrobat, unchecked Exported PDF in Acrobat, checked
Other check box types are even worse!
Checked (default), not hovered Unchecked, not hovered
Only when checked AND hovered, it looks normal:

Anyway, when printed on paper both come out as expected. Like top left and bottom right

Smartform square brackets or check box

Please help me in the issue . I output of the smartform should have checkboxes or square brackets . I tried using standard symbols but i didnt acheive it . can anyone please sugguest me how can i acheive .

Hi,
If the check bax you are expecting is for interactive purpose, then you need to go for adobe forms. If it is just for showing in the layout then you can try below 2 ways.
1. Upload an image of the check box to your SAP system from SE78. Print this graphic as you normally print the LOGO. ( you can create a node of type graphic)
2. Create a text element and print a single dot. Set the output options of the text element as below.
Select check box "Lines with" under the frames section. Give the appropriate spacing and width say 1 PT each. Now it shows a small box with the frames. If it is in main window, then you may need to create a template for controlling the width and hight of the element.

You can find so many stuffs here as vinod said.
If I explain more additionaly,
In your smartforms, you can find small icon for 'TXT Editor' and then you could find symbols here,
Inclue -> Characters -> SAP Symbols.
In symbols, you may find 'SYM_CHECKBOX' for checked one, and the other 'SYM_LARGE_SQUARE'.
looks like somepeole says it doesn't work in some cases, at that case, you can use [X] ,[ ] instead.

You can't directly print a checkbox as such in a smartform. But, there is a workaround.
Create two GraphicElements (for checked / unchecked). Assigned images to (for tick and untick) them.
In the conditions tab of GraphicElement enter conditions -
1. for checked - field = 'X'
2. for unchecked - field = ' '
To add images of tick and untick to system, Use transaction SO73.

Check box with Boolean data type is not behaving properly

Hi,
I create a sample application with one entity driven view object with two attributes. One is of String data type [Value will be Y/N] and another (transient) attribute with Boolean data type. I planned to bind this boolean data type attribute to UI. I overridded the view row impl class and included setting of boolean attribute inside the setter of String attribute. Also in the getter of boolean attribute, added code to check the string attribute and return true/false based on that. Everything is working fine in application module tester. But when i test the same in view controller project in a page, it is not working. Always Check box component is not checked eventhough when i explicitly check it.
[NOTE: I have given the control hint of Boolean attribute as check_box. Also i don't want selected/unselected entries in the page def file. That's why followed this approach]
Have i missed out anything? Why this behaviour.

what is the value that is going in when u check it.. did u debug it.. is the viewRowimps setter and getter getting called.. and is it having the right value set and got.. and ur sure that ur using selectBooleanCheckBox..

Adding a "normal" square check box as a Pages 09 bullet?

I would like to add a "normal" check box to my text bullets or image bullets in Pages 09 for more formal documents. The "artsy" check box supplied with Pages 09 is inappropriate for my work. Is there a way of getting or using a normal square check box for pages?

The changes are in the document, not in the program.
When the program will open this hacked document, it will grab the xml instruction as is.
If the syntax is modified as it was from Numbers '08 to Numbers '09, the keywords will change but not the contents.

I wish to add that I posted this hack because it is not machine dependent.
If you apply it on your machine, the document will behave the same if you open it on an other system.
I would not did that if the document was OK only on its source machine. Not sure of my syntax but I think that you may understand. You may re-phrase it if it's really too odd).
Second addition.
As you saw, there are nine predefined bullets.
If you edit the embedded descriptors you may have nine + nine different bullets. But you may also edit already edited descriptors.
So, if you want to build a really ugly document you may use a huge number of different bullets (Pandora's box is open).

In that we have a text editor in that text editor we have symbols in include menu.
whatever the symboll u want to put to ur cell . just assign it.
