Check boxes in Manage Manually

I prefer managing my music manually. If I wish to sync only the "Recently Added", and not delete all other files already loaded on my iPod, can I just check this specific box?

Responding to my own question, and thanks for trying to help: found that when I check "Manually manage music", when selecting options to sync, I checked only the "Recently added" box, clicked on "Apply", and it did sync the new music (or chapters of books, in my case), leaving intact all the other music and chapters previously loaded on my iPod. This saves time for me!

How to change status of open item management check box??

Dear Members,
There is a GL which was not defined as Open Item Management Previously.
Now we Identified and we wanted to define it as Open Item Managed account.
For ex take ..Payable Account
say there is one line item with credit balance ..to make this accoount balance as 0 (ZERO) ..we reversed the original entry ..we tried to select open item check box..
but system is not allowing us to change ..instead its giving msg"Account balance is zero but stil open items exists"
i dont understan this ..
now how to solve this problem

OK it's very easy to transfer the balance. Either u have already customised program to upload data or if the data is "little" u can just manual posting using FB01. just zerorise all balances in the old account.
Eg. old journal:
01 MAN        NIAGA SDN.              1,975.00
50 80070010   Rental-Car Park              1,975.00-
To transfer:
17 MAN        NIAGA SDN.              1,975.00-
40 80070010   Rental-Car Park              1,975.00
Means, the account will be zero.

What do you mean by?
"I have to upload asset history from the date of its acquisition."
As far as I know there is no upload to be done. If you do not set this
indicator you will not have detail information for assets of that asset class (created when the indicator was set) in report RAHIST01 / 02.
You can test it in one of your systems.

"complete check box" in version management

Dear Gurus,
User has entered values for version change, and he forgot to click the "complete" check box and saves the document. So release is not get effected.
I want this "complete" check box to be mandatory, in the case of purchase order.

How to uncheck Send Notification check box by custom script in supplier's contact Account management tab?

Hi Experts,
We have a requirement to uncheck the Send Notification check box by custom script in supplier's contact account mangement tab while page loading while creating new contact for the supplier. I have attached screen shot for reference.
I have searched several API Java classe for get and set methods for this Send notification field but no luck.
If anyone have an idea about get and set methods for this field please share.
Help would be appreciated and points awarded!

Hi Lava,
Inorder to uncheck the Send Notification checkbox while loading the page you have to write the script targeting the class Contact(600) and target as Loaded.
Include below lines in your custom script (contact onload Script)
doc.getFieldMetadata("SEND_NOTIFICATION").set(doc,FALSE);
You can create it in On create Script also.

Importance of mark for translation check box

While translating the fields to another language with or without marking the check box "Mark for Translation" the fields are translated...Could anyone give the importance of this check box??

Hi, It only provides a facility to keep track of fields that you like to translate manually. When you choose Mark for translation and change the translation language in field management page, you can see all the marked for translation fields in blue color.The blue color goes off the moment you modify the display name in another language and save the record.

Notification with exapnd role check box - get feedback from all users

Hi ,
I have to implement the following Case :-
Send a Notification to an AD hoc Role consisting of many users , wait for a Yes/No Result from each User and an additiona comment ,
register the yes / no reply + coment of each individual user on a follow up table .
After all users have replied , Proceed to next activity where I'll check the results on the Follow up table .
I Think this could be implemented using the Expand Role check box on the Notifification but I do not know how to exactly implemet it .

Regarding long mp3 bookmarks. (my experience with 9780).
I had the requirement that when playing long MP3s (audiobook/podcast) I don't loose my place within the MP3. I am able to update the list of MP3s without loosing my place in the currently playing one. I don't loose my place when connecting the BB to a PC with the USB cable and using USB synch to copy files to the SDCard.
All of these are accomplished by playing MP3s via File Manager/Play Folder feature.
If you use play lists or other methods directly through the BB media player, you will loose your place as soon as you switch off the BB, escape the player, or connect the USB cable.
If instead you use the file browser to go to the folder with the MP3s you wish to play (I have all my podcasts in one folder that I update manually) and select "Play Folder" from the context menu, the media player will open.
If you escape the media player that is opened as per above, the last point in the played MP3 is remembered. This even survives any synchronization I do to the folder via USB or a soft power reset (ALT CAPS DEL). It remembers the spot in multiple MP3s to boot.
This is a great handy feature. I'm glad it works with the 9780/OS6.

Turkish Character and Check Box "?" Problem in XML Publisher

In aplication and XML Publisher I must use Turkish Characters e.g. 'ş','ı','ğ','ç','ö' and check boxes. In html preview there is no problem, I can see all of them correctly. Hovewer in PDF preview in XML Publisher and also PDF output in Oracle Application all these Turkish Characters and Check Boxes looks like question mark (?). How can I solve this problem ?

Related to Special Italian characters, when I try with "Courier New" font with static data,the XML Preview display those characters.But when those chars come from XML source file,they get vanished.I tried two cases:
Case1 ) IN EBS,I have attached courbi.ttf(font file) to the template manager(followed as per instructions in Font mapping section in User Guide).
When I try running the report ,its getting completed with Warning.
Case 2) I have also modified xdo.cfg ( as per Doc ID:400755.1 www.metalink.oracle.com)-
In both cases ,I am not acheving the desired results.
Please let me know where I am going wrong.

Urgent Help Required for Check Box in Table Column

Hi all,
Could any body help me to solve my problem?
First of all I have created a table whose one column is check box. The column of the tables are Name,Phone,ID,Address and a checkBox columns.In one view
the table will be found with data. I want to click on some of the rows(suppose there are 5 rows, but based on some condition I have selected the check box of 3 rows).
Next there will be a button(Supose SEND Button).
After selecting the check box I want to press that button and then a new window will come which will show two tables. one for selected rows(with the same columns name except check box) and another for Unchecked rows with the same column name(Name,Phone,ID,Address).
Could any body help me by sending the details and code?

1) create custom controller and appropriate context structure there (dataNode(Name,Phone,ID,Address,Check))
2) create view StartView. Map data node from custom controller to node in view. Create table and bind context node attributes to appropriate table columns.
3) create view ResultView. Map data node from custom controller to node in view. Create 2 nodes (CheckedData, UncheckedData) with supply methods. Create filtering implementation in supply methods (add checked and unchecked node elements to appropriate nodes).
4) create new window with resultView as default view
4) in startView in button action handler put something like
     IWDWindowInfo _windowInfo = wdComponentAPI.getComponentInfo().findInWindows("Popup");
     IWDWindowManager manager = wdComponentAPI.getWindowManager();
     IWDWindow _window = manager.createWindow(_windowInfo, true);
     _window.open();
So, just tried localy and it works.

Check boxes are not being displayed in any list applets

Issue: The check boxes are not being displayed in any list applets in the system. A check box can be marked in the system, but as soon as the user clicks anywhere outside of the box the check box 'visibly' disappears. If you hover the mouse over the check box it displays a 'Y'. However, check boxes are working fine for the form applet, the issue is only with the list applet.
I verified the checkboxes work fine in the thick client and in production. However, it is the testing environment, which belongs to client, that is showing the above behavior. I think there is some setting that is missing for them. But I am unable to figure it. I would really appreciate if someone could help !!

One way that you could make it work (just tried it out again) is to use the windings font
and use the checkboxes from there. However, you need to register the font with xml publisher. In the template builder for Word, you can put a configuration file under:
C:\Program Files\Oracle\XML Publisher Desktop\Template Builder for Word\config
(depnding on your installation). The file should have the name xdo.cfg or xdoconfig.xml.
There is an example file: xdo example.cfg that you rename and change accoringly.
The font is there setup for windows 2000 as an example. Select the correct font
path - for my XP it is:
<font family="Wingdings" style="normal" weight="normal">
<truetype path="C:\WINDOWS\fonts\wingding.ttf" />
</font>
Then you can put the symbols into your RTF template and it will be rendered.
At least it worked for me - with 5.6.2. (Availbable on Wednesday or Thursday), but
I am pretty sure I tried it before with 5.5.
Didn't have the 5.5 manual with me - so I have to check what that says again..

When saving a fill-in form that contains check boxes, the filled in check boxes do not show up on the new PDF. How do I fix this?

Basically, I have a form that comes over from a vendors that is Pre filled. I may have to manually answer some of the check boxes. Either way, when I go to save the form to put in our system, the checkboxes on the newly save PDF are now blank. How do I stop this from happening

Want check box checked as default for a newly added subscreen in ME21N

             I have added a subscreen in ME21N with one field with check box.
When I enter ME21N I should get that checkbox CHECKED automatically.
How to do this.
And one more thing is when manually putting checkmark,when I press enter that check mark is getting deselected.How to overcome this???

Hi,
the deselection problem could be caused of an incorrect name of that screen field name. You should check in screen painter if that check box field name is the same name as your data object (e.g. gv_checkbox) .
Unfortunately it is not possible to define default values within Screen Painter. You have to do this in PBO.

1. GR message check box issues message to the buyer after every the goods receipt against the PO.
Message type has to be configured for this functionality.
2. If you are managing stock of material at storage location level , then you will need to maintain this at PO item level.

How do I create a check-box matrix question using Acrobat XI Pro?

I would like to insert a question that is a 10 x 10 matrix that allows respondents to select multiple boxes in each row. For example, the "add item > rating scale" feature formats a matrix the way I would like, although it only seems to allow for radio buttons. With this feature, respondents can only select one item per row. Is there any way to use this feature with check-boxes rather than radio buttons? Or a different feature to create a matrix that allows for multiple selections per row?

I created a 30 page Form in Microsoft Word with 20 to 30 check boxes on each page using the Zapf Dingbats Font.
When I used Acrobat XI Pro to automatically convert the form it fails to create usable check boxes.
It worked properly about 3 times on test pages but it will not do it again.
Manually inserting check boxes one by one on 30 pages is mind numbing to say the least.
Why doesn't the software work properly anymore?
