Check boxes show vertically instead of horizontally

hi,
I've added a 'check box' item to my page.
there are three check boxes.
they are appearing underneath each other [vertically].
i want them to appear next to each other [horizontally].
any ideas?
regards,
paul

Use the Number of Columns property in the item Settings attributes to control this. For example, if there are 3 checkboxes in the group, set the Number of Columns to 3...
OR
Leave the Number of Columns property at 1 and add the following CSS to the page:
#item-id br {   display: none; }
where item-id is the name of the checkbox item to make only that group horizontal, or
.checkbox_group br {   display: none; }
to make all checkbox groups horizontal.

  • How to show PieChart Vertically instead of Horizontally?

    Hi,
Like the title indicates, I hope that is there property or
method or event allowing to show a PieChart Vertically instead of
    horizontally.
    Cheers,

    for example :
my pie chart represents two values : 50% and 50%. How this
values will be shown in PieChart? the answer is vertically the
first 50% in the top and the second one in the bottom.
What I want is to show the values horizontally that's mean in
this example the first 50% in the right and the other one in the
    left.
    Thank you in advance :)

  • Export PS from Indesign, open in Preview - vertical instead of horizontal - cuts off part of the page.

I tried to make my title as short as possible..
In a nut shell, I am exporting a postscript file from the Print Booklet feature in Indesign.
Why not export a straight PDF from Indesign you may be wondering? Because it is not paginated.... I don't need to print in logical order, 1,2,3,4,5... Rather the spreads with page numbers 36/1, 2/35, 34/3, etc... And the only way it seems to be able to do this (without me having to do it manually) is to print booklet and choose PostScript.
All is fine and dandy until then, but when I proceed to open the saved PS file in Preview, it opens it vertically instead of horizontally chopping off 3.5 inches from the right side of the booklet. (my book is 11 x 8.5, folds to 5.5 x 8.5)....
    Anyway to remedy this?
    Thanks

Typical!! - I solved the problem right after posting this.
Works fine in Photoshop when "crop to crop box" is selected in  the menu options.

  • Can I merge two photos vertically instead of horizontally?

Can I merge two photos vertically instead of horizontally?

I don't understand the question. Please provide additional information as to just what you wish to do.
For example, do you wish to display and print two portrait oriented photos side-by-side?

  • Check box showing double when PDF opened in Preview

I'm setting up a simple check box functionality on a PDF my company sends out. I noticed the check boxes look strange when the PDF is opened up in Preview on Mac. Not sure about PC as we don't have one here. It appears to look fine in Acrobat but I believe a good portion of our clients will use Preview. What you see in the image below is the result when I make a check box and change the color to blue green. The black check mark over it comes out of nowhere. My temporary work-around is to make the check mark art invisible so just that crappy black line shows up instead, although I hate the way it looks.
Any help is much appreciated, thanks!

You should always include a link to the FREE Adobe Reader with advice that best results will be seen using it when you distribute a PDF.
Of course you cannot control what others will use, but if you expect them to use Preview you need to dumb down the design accordingly.

  • Video Plays back vertically instead of horizontally

I shot a video with my bloggie touch of a stage show, holding the camera horizontally. My problem is it plays back on the Bloggie and my computer vertically.
Is there a way to rotate this video? Otherwise I can't watch this, and the video is useless.
    Any thoughts?

page 17 shows the views of how the picture was taken
    http://www.docs.sony.com/release/MHSTSs ... ndbook.pdf
Yes you can shoot video in any orientation, However, for a widescreen movie It is recommended to shoot your video in landscape mode. If you shoot holding the camera vertically, The video will record and play back vertically showing the black aspect ratio bars you see on the above page 17. For widescreen, 1920-by-1080 video, you'll need to shoot in landscape mode, with the screen sideways and the Record button to the left or right.
In order to rotate your existing video you will need to use a video editing software to edit and save. Windows and Macintosh operating systems alike both have basic video editing programs that came standard, or is readily available for download with the software.

  • How do I flip the view of the legend bar so it is vertical instead of horizontal? I want the legend bar vertically positioned in my column chart.

I clicked the show legend button and edited it according to my data but it placed it horizontally. I need it vertical and there does not seem to be a function to flip the view. Does anybody know how to switch the view of the legend bar?

Use the handle at the left or right to the Legend box to reduce the width of the box. The strung-out list will change to columns, and eventually to a single column.

  • Why do empty boxes show up instead of text on many web pages?

Several months ago we started having trouble on our Mac OS X desktop computer with Firefox. On many web pages, including the Firefox Support home page, I see empty boxes instead of text. The boxes do not have any letters in them. If I copy and paste the boxes into MS Word it translates them into text, but not on the web page.

  • Expand the matrix vertically instead of horizontally.

Hi I am using RS 2008. I have a report which is as follows.
The column groupings are by year and quarter and row groupings are by category and sub category. The matrix expands horizontally displaying the next year and quarter on next page, instead of vertically expanding first and displaying the category and sub
categories, and then displaying the next years/quarters. The data on page 4 below should be displayed  on page 2, so that it is presented correctly.
    Would appreciate any help.
    Thanks

    Hi sud,
According to your description, you create a matrix in the report. When rendering the report, you want to display all rows then display all columns, right?
In Reporting Services, the matrix is processed from left to right, then from top to bottom. This behavior is by design. So in your scenario, if the first page can’t contain all rows and columns, then on the next page, it will display the additional columns.
After processing all columns correspond to the rows displayed on the first page, it will processing the left rows. So for your requirement, it can’t be achieved currently.
If you have any question, please feel free to ask.

  • Print Report to PDF with columns vertical instead of horizontal

I enabled report printing for a report region but the PDF lists the columns horizontally even though the columns are listed vertically on the report page. Is there a way to list the columns vertically on the PDF so that it matches the layout on the report page. Thanks for your help.

    Hi hhsu68
Wondering how you are arranging columns listed vertically on the report page?
You mean just selecting any vertical report template, or
you mean just column headers are vertical and the data as normal (horizontal)?
If its the second case could you please let me know how you did that?
Off course I would also like to know if you have found a solution to your problem as well.
    Thank you

  • Why are observed computers listing vertically instead of horizontally?

Sorry if this is a really basic question...
Just in the last week or so, when I'm observing a lab of computers named "computer 1", "computer 2" etc up to "computer 25" instead of showing them in the observation window 1 through 25 in rows left to right as it used to, now it's showing them in columns, which is messing with my head.  I've had a poke around views and preferences but I can't see how do I get them to show in rows again?
My machine and target machines both running OS 10.8, ARD version 3.7, ARD client version 3.6.2

That's the way Apple apparently decided to have it in ARD 3.7 and there's no way I know of to change it. You can comment to Apple on the change via their feedback page, if you wish:

  • Scroll all articles vertically instead of horizontally?!

    Hello!
I have 5 articles (some with one page, some with more pages) and I can standardly change between them when I swipe horizontally.
But I want to scroll them vertically (but not with smooth-scrolling). So all articles should be displayed only among themselves, so that you can only swipe horizontally when the article has more than one page.
I hope you know what I mean? All directions should be vica versa. It seems that there is no way to build the DPS-App in this way.
I would be very thankful for tipps of you!
    Greetings
    Jenny

    Hi,
You can do it, but it would be rather tricky:
You have to make a single article with five pages. Each page will become virtual "article". If your new "article" has more than one page, you would use MSO slideshows set to swipe so you can browse the pages horizontally, yet keepeng them on one real page. And you would swipe vertically from one "article" to another.
There are negatives for this solution: You will have a single TOC entry for your 5  articles.
But the user experience would match your requirements.

  • I am having a problem with check boxes showing as all selected after downloading as a pdf after individual submits their form with just a few actually selected.

The forms themselves don't have all the boxes checked when viewed in FormsCentral. It is only after I download it as a pdf that the problem occurs. I have to check and uncheck each box in the FormsCentral in order to not have that occur. Any suggestions?

  • Inserting photos into emails. Why are they sent vertical instead of horizontal?

Please tell me why photos inserted into emails as hrorizontal are sent/received by recipient as vertical?  How can this be sent/received as constructed?

Sending photos as a PDF defeats the purpose of inserting viewable photos in the body of a mail message.  Any suggestions to make it look as created when sent/received?  Thank you for the discussion.
There is absolutely nothing you can do to in an email that will positively ensure the recipient sees it as you wish.
Since it is an auto-rotation issue, you might try exporting the photos first. That may eliminate the rotation metadata.

  • I'm running OS X 10.6.8. Periodically a button pops up which looks like the "CBS eye" but vertical instead of horizontal.  It allows for scrolling but I find it annoying.  Is this part of the OS or is it malware?

I have to click on the eye to make it go away.

    Are you talking about this?
It's just because you pressed the scrolling weel on your mouse.
Just press it again to deactivate it.
    AND stay away from Mackeeper!
