Check cable signal error on apple tv

i paid a lot of money (so ******!) to have apple tv set up to our TV Entertainment System so we can use Apple TV on our big screen Samsumg TV.
of course it worked when the tech guy installed it and then as soon as he left, it stopped working and when i select "apple TV" all i get is the error "check signal cable" and nothing works.
i've checked the cables -- disconnected and then connected them again, etc. and can't figure it out.
HELP?

Recently when I have loaded up my laptop one of two things has happened:
1) I am taken to Windows error recovery and told that I can either launch windows boot repair or start windows normally. Both lead to a screen which says 'Status: 0xc00000e9, Info: An unexpected I/O error has occurred. It also says that 'windows has experienced a problem communicating with a device connected to your computer. This error could be caused by unplugging a removable storage device, or by faulty hardware such as a HDD or CD-ROM drive'.
2) I am greeted by a black screen with a lot of text, but one line in particular says : 'PXE-E61 Media test failure, check cable'
Having read some forums online I have checked the BIOS and the Hard Drive is being detected sometimes, but other times is 'not present'. On examining the boot order the HDD is registered as the first thing to boot.
I was hoping that some of you would be able to help me out a bit more here, because I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to repairing computers! Any advice that you can give would be appreciated.

Your hard drive is more than likely failing and will need replaced. You can also check to make sure your hard drive is properly seated and has a good connection.

What exactly are you trying to do? Is this a commercial movie that you are trying to import into iTunes? I don't know if you can import movies into iTunes unless you've purchased or rented them from the iTunes store.

Satellite Pro L10: PXE-E61 - Media test failure check cable error message

I recently bought an L10 laptop without the hard drive and everytime i try to boot it with a newly installed hard drive i get this message .

OPERATING SYSTEM NOT FOUND.
CAN SOMEONE MAKE SENSE OUT OF THIS AND EXPLAIN IT TO ME AND ALSO HOW CAN I GET RECOVERY SOFTWARE AS I DO NOT HAVE THE TOSHIBA RECOVERY CD BUT I DO HAVE THE CoA STICKER ON LAPTOP.

Your problem is quite straightforward and can be summarised as follows.
1. You bought a notebook without a hard drive and presumably installed a new hard drive.
2. You then tried to boot the system from the new hard drive.
The problem here is that there is not yet an operating system installed on the hard drive and as a result the BIOS will try to find an operating system in other places, such as your CD drive, your floppy drive (if you have one), and finally a network connection to a local LAN. If none of these are successful you will receive the error message that you reported.
The obvious solution here would be to install an operating system on your hard drive and you can choose either an original Toshiba recovery disc (obtainable from your local Authorised Service Partner) or you can opt to buy an original Microsoft XP disc in which case you will need to download and install the Toshiba utilities and drivers from the Toshiba web site. My preference would be to get a recovery CD from Toshiba since this will install a guaranteed system with all the necessary utilities and drivers.
Your BIOS will normally be set to search for an operating system on your FDD/CD-ROM, then your HDD and finally on a network lan connection. Once you obtain a recovery CD just load it into your CD-ROM and power on your notebook. The system should find it and then start the installation process. Just follow the on-screen instructions and you should have a valid operating system on your hard drive in about 20-30 minutes.

PXE-E61: Media test failure, check cable Error Message

My wife’s Satellite L505 (PULU0U-03C003) with Windows 7 Home Premium has started faulting out to this message on a regular basis, at least once a day or more:

PXE-E61: Media test failure, check cable
PXE-M0F: exiting PXE ROM
No bootable device – insert boot disk and press any key
I can power down the laptop and then turn it back on again. After going through the “did not start (I think its called that) window, then computer boots successfully and everything works fine for a time. I have attached a photo of the error message.
I checked as many of the messages as I could but didn’t find anything that seemed quite the same. Any suggestions or thoughts?

A PXE error typically means that the Boot Priority in the Bios is set incorrectly and the computer is trying to boot from the LAN port. Make sure that the hard drive (HDD) is the first boot device and the LAN port is the last boot device.

No signal error with mac mini to acer monitor

I bought an Acer monitor and a Mac mini back 11/11 and it has worked fine. I recently moved the computer to a new room and when I set everything up I got a no signal error with the monitor and went to sleep mode. I have tried another monitor (viewsonic) and a new VGA cable and a new VGA to dvi converter to no avail.......any suggestiins....frustrating thing is both monitor and computer are working.

Netflix renewed on itunes but saying error on apple tv

tried restarted apple tv but netflix still saying error even though it's showing renewed/purchased on my itunes acct. anyone know how to check this?

If your Apple TV fails to restore through iTunes……..
Check that you have correctly followed the instructions for your model of Apple TV.
If not already, try using a powered USB port.
Repeat the process but this time try connecting the cable while iTunes is closed.
Repeat the process with another cable.
Try restoring the Apple TV on another computer in another location

No Signal error on TV

Getting a No Signal error one of my TVs, the other seems to be functioning properly.
Here are a few things I've tried that didn't work:
-STB has been reset
-STB is powered on
-TV is powered on
-checked all cables, everything is plugged in to the correct location
-checked input, cables match input channel
-tried a different input jack (with it's respective input channel)
-tried turning on the DVD/VCR player
Any other suggetions?
It was working fine yesterday and last night. It has been overcast all day, but no actual rain; so it's unlikely a weather related issue. I am a relativly tech savy person, but this is just throwing me for a loop.

I see that you are having a problem with your HDMI connection. Based on what you have described from the having to plug it in and unplug it on a regular basis and the drivers having no effect, it sounds like a hardware issue. You can try using a different HDMI cord to see if the cord is at fault. I would recommend having a local technician take a look at your HDMI port on the notebook.

?Is there any Apple TV HDMI port voltage?

I tried what you said again but without success. I even updated the driver so that that audio driver is the same as the graphics driver i.e.. NVIDIA but this has not helped either:

Please read the post properly
there should be no spaces between the folder of PATCH_TOP directory like below
C:\Documents and Settings \applmgr\Desktop \ IL Patches \patch\6167056\backup\reports\US
copy the patch in c:\>6167056 and apply the patch

TS4062 I keep getting the error message "apple outlook DAV has stopped working"

My phone and I pad all of the sudden just stopped syncing with my desktop. I have had my phone for over a year when 4s first came out and everything was syncing fine. Then all the sudden it stopped. I keep getting the error message "apple outlook DAV has stopped working". I have rebooted, checked for duplicates, signed in and out of the cloud and still nothing. Has anyone had this problem and know of a good way to handle it. Also, now my phone and Ipad don't sync with the cloud either. Please help.

Windows 7 Professional. I meant that when I open a word doc and want to turn it into a PDF, i get the same error message. Many times I tried to simply update from 10.5.8 without any success. It starts and after few minutes ...
I used many different install disks (I bought ofiicial release from Mac seller), so I think this is not a problem with wrong version or bad install disk. A few days ago I've got back my computer from Apple technical support and technician told me he had this same problem with system installation

IMessage, "check your network" error?

IMessage, check your network error?
While iMessage has worked normal for quite a while on my iPad, I am getting a "check your network" error when trying to open it.
We reset the Apple ID, iTunes-account info with an Apple care tech who said wait 24 hours and it will work.when we still could not open iMessage.
24 hours have passed but I am still getting the "check your network" error! Anybody have an idea what is going on.
Internet and e-mail is working perfect on this iPad. Thank you for your help.

Wow! Purchasing a new computer and monitor should be a fun and exciting experience, and instead, it sounds like it’s turned into a complete nightmare. I can only imagine your disappointment when you found two charges relating to its purchase on your debit card account, and I’m sorry for any aggravation this caused.
As I want to provide you some piece of mind, I pulled up your order number using your email address attached to the forum. After review of its payment information, I found we collected only one payment. However, when orders are first placed on BestBuy.com, a pending authorization should show up on your bank card to make sure funds are available for the order until it is fulfilled. From there, the authorization should drop off and the collection charge should appear. This is the case for your one charge of $1,051.69.
It also sounds like an error may have occurred when you initially attempted to place your order, resulting in one of your gift cards not registering properly and the order not being completed. Your card’s issuing bank doesn’t appear to have recognized this and pushed through the pending authorization. This occurred a second time when your account information didn’t quite match up with what we had on file. Please know that we haven’t ordered a collection of these funds and your issuing bank should release the two pending authorizations within 5 to 7 business days.

You may already have tried this, but before you completely give up, I'd check your home router software and also reset the router. I haven't seen this particular issue arise on these forums with new iPad devices, so perhaps it has to do with outdated software or configuration on the router not playing well with the new device....
