Check for last statment
hello guys
i have a query in which i need to check that the last statment which oracle run is success or failure.
i have sproc like this
Declare
BEGIN
myproc;
(now based on the success of this i need to do)
UPDATEso i need to varify after that call ...please suggest.
Thanks
Hi,
Dunno much about Unix, but I guess you are talking about return values.
In oracle you have exception handling. Usually you don't use return values. (If you do, it is something you implement yourself)
So, if you call say dbms_stats_pck, the call is successful unless an exception is raised. If an exception is raised and you don't catch this, your update statement will never get executed.

Peter

When I check for software updates only itunes and random other updates show up but not security updates or safari update. When i check installed updates I realized my last security update was 2011-004 and I still have safari 5.0.6. Can anyone help me?
Don't panic. OS X 10.5.8 is the most popular PowerPC OS out there. People run it everyday without security breaches, including myself. It isn't Windows!
If you're really that worried, I highly recommend Sophos Anti-Virus for Mac Home Edition. Supports PowerPC & Intel and Mac OS X 10.4-10.7.

Why won't my iMac print consistantly to my compatible HP 6500A? I've checked for updates and downloaded the lasted software...still can't print. All my other Mac devices find the printer but the iMac is hit and miss. I'm operating the Mac OS X Lion 10.7.
When you say hit and miss do you mean sometimes you print a whole document with no problems, or do you mean each document has problems? This is from HP's website for your printer:
Your sig says 10.6.7 but your message says 10.7. So if it's really Lion, this printer isn't officially supported. Elsewhere on HP's site it says updated drivers will be available on your Mac via Software Update. Have you run that recently? -
I can't connect to iTune Store nor to radios, with the aid of iTune, check for updates, these last two from aid, but if you communicate with support. Please the answers in spanish.
Back up all data.
Unlock the Network preference pane, if necessary, by clicking the lock icon in the lower left corner and entering your password. Cllck Advanced, open the DNS tab, and change the server addresses to the following:
8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4
That's Google DNS. Click OK, then Apply.
In Safari, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data
and confirm. If you’re using another browser, empty the cache. Test. Any difference?
Notes:
1. If you lose Internet access after making the above change to your network settings, delete the Google servers in the Network preference pane, then select the TCP/IP tab and click Renew DHCP Lease. That should restore the original DNS settings; otherwise restore them yourself. Remember that you must click Apply in order for any changes to take effect.
2. I don't use Google DNS myself, though I have tested it, and I'm not recommending it or any other DNS provider; the server addresses are offered merely for testing purposes. There may be privacy and technical issues involved in using that service, which you should investigate personally before you decide whether to keep the settings. Other public DNS services exist. -

Hi,
We work on a domain that uses Symantec Management console to administrate our patch enviroment. We have windows updates disabled. But our Windows 8 machines get this message once a month
"Windows update hasn't been able to check for updates for the last 30 days"
Just wondering if anyone knows which GPO to use to disable this setting as I have been unable to find it.
ThanksHi,
You can turn off the message by GUI in Control Panel\System and Security\Action Center, in the right pane, click "Change Action Center settings", then untick the "Windows Update" option.
For GPO, you can disable all balloon notifications:
User Configuration \ Administrative Templates \ Start Menu and Taskbar\Turn off all balloon notifications
Or remove Action Center icon itself
User Configuration\Administrative Templates\Start Menu and Taskbar\Remove the Action Center icon
And I haven't found a GPO to turn on\off a specific message mentioned in the action center, but the setting for the message is related with registry key under
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Action Center\Checks
but the value under the key is binary, hard to control, if you have interest, you can export the key from a preference pc, then deploy the GPO via
User Configuration > Preferences > Windows Settings > Registry

for the last few days, I've been experiencing long pauses or crashes while viewing a movie or clip using adobe flash. i've had no update requests for flash from auto updates. so my next thought was the flash plugin. however i'm not able to get the plugin updater to work. i get the error message listed above.

My last two purchases are incomplete, missing half of both albums. The "support" says "go to Store/check for available downloads" ....where the **** is "check for available downloads" ?? Never had this prob before.
Ok so I found it. BUT! it says there are no downloads available...what has happened to the other 16 or so tunes I have paid for? I "reported a problem" but what/how will they respond?

Hello,
My Encore 2.0 project has 7 timelines each with 20 min video, 2 audio channels and 5 subtitle channels. The project also includes about 50 interactive menus.
My problem is that Check Project lasts for hours with 100% CPU utilization. Is it a kind of bug, or could you provide me any hint to avoid this problem?
Best regards,
Evren ArinThe problem persists. I carefully followed the instructions on how to safely eject the Ipod from iTunes before disconnecting it from my computer. Nothing happened. However, when I close iTunes, I get the following message: "The Ipod cannot be ejected because it contains files that are in use by another application". What should I do now? P.S. I am very new to the Ipod world, so please forgive my ignorance.
