Can you check if its genuine or not? Cause we want to try it in the water, although, the store said its not part of their warranty if it will get broke when we test it in the water.

How do I check if a N900 is genuine but not some fake ones?
Do I check the IMEI? or is there other things I have to test if it is genuine?
    Thanks!

ok.. this shouldn't be difficult.. if it is, then that makes me doubt your phone
Here's the complicated way that always works..
    press CTRL + SHIFT + X
on the keyboard.. so that's the top left key with Sym written on it, the bottom left key with the white up arrow on it and the X button..
the screen should appear white and give you a prompt..
    you can then type
    uname -a
and it'll display more info.. This a "unix shell" and has been part of Unix computers since the mid 70's

  • How to Verify genuineness of SAP certificate?

    Hi Guys,
How to verify the genuineness of the SAP certificate?
Please throw some light on this?
    Thanks & Regards,
    Srinivas.

    Hello
I have no idea how you can do this and what are the options.
But I wonder (if any SAP guides read this) if it would be possible (or it already works this way?) to give a unique number to every guy, who gets the certificate, and then publish a webservice (with a fancy website), where one could post the number and check, if that is a genuine one. Would be cool for all:
    - the company could check the workforce
    - SAP will not get damaged by the liar, who say they got certified but were not
    - the people would see an extra reason to get certified
But that is only a naive idea...

  • Installing Windows XP Twice....?

I've already installed Windows XP on my PC, which is beside my mac. My question is, can I use the same install disc to install Windows XP in Bootcamp on my iMac? The PC must remain able to function in Windows XP.
Thanks in advance to those who replied

    Hi and welcome to Discussions,
the Windows license allows you to use Windows only on one computer.
When you install it on a second computer and activate it, the first activation will be revoked, thus making the first installation useless.
Microsoft checks thesse through their Windows Genuine Advantage (WGA).
Without product activation Windows cease to work after 30 days.

  • N97(mini) charging problem

MY MOBILE NOKIA N8(MINI) IS UN ABLE TO CHARGE PROPERLY.. I JUST BOUGHT IT AND AFTER TWO DAYS IT IS NOW WORKING PROPERLY .. WHAT IS THE PROBLEM SHALL I CHANGE BATTERY OR I SHALL SEND IT TO THE SERVICE CENTER . THE PHONE DOES OT CHARGE PROPERLY ..

N8 mini? Nokia does not make a phone called the N8 mini.
It's possible that you may have a counterfeit phone that does not contain Nokia made parts. On the N8 that nokia makes the battery cannot be removed by the user without voiding the warranty.
If you want to check if it's a genuine nokia take it to a Nokia service centre. If the phone is genuine they will be able to help you.

  • Finding an Adobe Certified Instructor

Hi, I'm not sure where to put this question so I hope it's okay here.
I am looking for an Adobe Certified Instructor in my area (Dublin, Ireland). I looked on the Adobe Find a Partner website but no instructors for InDesign, PhotoShop or Illustrator came up — only training centres and one instructor for Dreamweaver. I know there are people in Dublin claiming to be genuine instructors but I want to ensure I get an Adobe certified instructor. Can anyone tell me if there is a way to check if someone is a genuine instructor with an up-to-date qualification?
    Thanks in advance!

I am not sure if you can check them out but these guys seems to know a lot about Adobe products:
    <http://www.bigwavemediatraining.ie/about-press3.php>
Please note I am recomending anything here so please do your own research and if necessary visit them onsite to see if they are genuine trainers.
    Good luck.

  • Microsoft download of the WinHelp engine fails

I notice that the download of the x86 winhelp engine no
longer works. It is needed to run WinHelp under Vista.
I have been using the link
    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=6EBCFAD9-D3F5-4365-8070-334CD175D 4BB&displaylang=en
It was fine a couple of weeks ago.
I get the message "The update does not apply to your system"
I have been looking for winhelp.exe on my system, hoping I
would be able to copy it, but it is not to be found.
Has anyone raised this issue with Microsoft yet?

I just followed your link from a Vista machine that has the
viewer (winhelp32.exe) installed and it started the Genuine
Advantage script rather than telling me the update was not
applicable. Maybe that comes later in the script after it has
checked that you have a genuine copy of Vista.
Has your client tried again as that link is the correct one
on a 32 bit system? Could your client have got the 64 bit system as
suggested by Rick? I would have thought that if they attempted to
run the HLP file they would have got the same message I did when I
ran such a file and the link would go to the correct version of
    winhelp engine.

Hi. You may want to check out PS plug-in Genuine Fractals 6.  It has a Tiling Feature that divides an enlargement into smaller pieces ready for printing.

I just took the back off my E71 and it says:
Made in Finland in the back.
I'm not aware of Nokia having handset manufacturing base in China but I might be wrong. I know the chargers and Batteries are made in China though.
http://www.nokia.co.uk/A41178301 The E71 user guide is on that page, have a look does yours function as per that manual? Does your manual look like that or similar?
As for the red key not working, if it is a Nokia handset then you should take it to your nearest Nokia Service Centre in your country. They will also be able to confirm that it is a genuine Nokia Device, of course they will only repair a genuine Nokia handset if it is not then I'm afriad that your stuck with it.
    Shunts...
I will mostly be communicating with a Nokia E72 Zodium Black
Nokia E72-1 with Vr 051.018.207.04 Software

  • Counterfeit 5W power supply (A1400)?

Today, I pulled my iPhone power supply out of the socket and the bottom plate with the mains connector got loose and came off.
Now I doubt if this power supply is genuine or counterfeit.
    Model: A1400 (European 5W)
There is a serial number in the USB connector: 1X1523F481DBAG
    I made some pics:

Is there some way to check if this PS is genuine or not?

Looks counterfeit to me. Apple adapters don't come apart; the must be sawed open. See: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wi-b9k-0KfE. BOTH adapters shown at the start of this video are counterfeit, not just the one that is obvious.

  • Fraud letter

Not sure if this is the right forum, but we have received a 'BT' letter which is saying that we owe them money for an unpaid bill. The letter head is monochrome (blue) instead of the multicoloured one. The email address is @btopenworld instead of @btinternet and the name is printed without an initial (also, the account is in my wife's name, and the letter is to me).
There are a couple of numbers to call, where some little criminal is no doubt set up to relieve me of my bank details.
The worrying thing is that the email address IS an old one, and they have our home address.
Any advice on how can I report this to BT please?
    Thanks

I've got an ongoing issue that BT are currently dealing with....
I received an unexpected letter from BT, the main letter head (including the BT logo) was also blue.
I did call them and they confirmed the letter was genuine.
I'd have to say that BT are reducing printing costs....
As suggested, give them a call using the info on this thread
You could always use a search engine to check the telephone numbers are genuine BT ones

  • How to check if Sony Xperia Z2 is genuine?

    Hello,
i have just recently purchase a sony xperia z2 and a sony 7000mah power bank.
so my questions is how to check if the mentioned devices are genuine? e.g. by serial code, by certain features? (there are some products that provide a site where you enter your product serial and they will check for genuine)

    Hi
If your phone works correctly, develops no faults and the screen doesn't spontaneously crack then I'm afraid your phone is not a genuine Sony.
Seriously though, you can enter the imei number on the xperia care website and it will tell you http://mysupport.sonymobile.com/gb/#/products
