Check In From CAD VIEW

Hi Gurus,
In SAP PLM integrated to ProE, I have opened an assembly in proe and through CAD VIEW from SAP PLM, I have created DIR for the assembly and its dependent components. If I try to check in the assembly (Originals-Check in Originals) in CAD VIEW, it will take the dependent files also and asks the Storasge location. After specifying the storage location, it starts check in process but comes out with the error saying "Error while checking in and storing: C:\ProSAP_Directintegration\ProSAP_Directintegrati"
If I try to open the DIR and then from the originals If I attach the file and try to checkin and save, it works. But this is not something which am looking as I need CAD VIEW to be used to check in the Assembly/drawing along with it's associateed components.
Can anyone help me understand how to solve this and help me check in any files from the CAD View.

Can you elorate "ensure working directory is well defined" ?
In the integration configuration files you will have to define the PATH AND DIRECTORY * PATH AND DIRECTORY * PATH AND DIRECTORY * PATH in the ProSAP.cfg file. Please look at te example given and ensure you define your directories well.
I tried checking in one part from CAD VIEW, even this is not possible.
So this tells me there is some thing wrong in the way you have defined your work directories.
or
But I can check out from CAD VIEW. I can check in from the DIR i.e on tab originals-checkin and then saving DIR.
The last thing I can think of is the file name. Ensure that your file name is consistent through out. This happens quite often with ProE as it uses its own version numbering at times.
I'm hoping one of the above will solve your problem. keep us posted how it goes!

I am using Cideon AutoCAD integrator 4.5 & AutoCAD Vanila 2008.
1. Creating New document Drawing in AutoCAD.
2. Save the drawing, system creating DIR, am selecting document type DRW.
3. System generating DIR no.
4. From AutoCAD am going in CAD - View.
5. In CAD - View, System automatically taking Document No, Document Type, Document part, document Version.
6. Now am check in the document.
These are my steps,
When am doing these steps for document Type DRW, It's working fine....when am selecting some new configure document type then it is not copying "document type, Number , version, part" in CAD - View & also giving me error @ time of Check in.
Error is " No documents are assigned to this file".
Is there any document related settings ? Pls suggest me...

I got the solution.
In the config document Types on initial status, I un-checked the Check-In required field.
Now it's working fine...reason i don't know...If any body knows pls let me know.

Creation of Material from SAP VIEW using CDESK.

Hi Experts,
I have one question related to creation of Material from SAP View.
CAD file created say SM1000.prt
Create DIR in CAD View say SM1000
Scenario 1 :   Create Material in Background from CAD VIEW or SAP VIEW from cad desktop, It creates material SM1000
                           in background.
Scenario 2 : Open CDESK ( Transaction)
                        Click on OPEN,
                        Selecting the DIR created SM1000
                        Create the material in background in SAP View, it gives message " enter material number"
Why am not able to create the material from SAP view using CAD Desktop. If any modifications needs to be done in CDESK CUS to solve this please let me know.

Hi Sudharshan,
maybe the reason for this is that your CAD applications provides a special material number and the customizing in CDESK is defined to use this number. In this case the number or value can by provided from the CAD application only from the CAD View.
In the SAP view the material gets created like in MM01 for example and so mabye you have to enter a material number.

Check in content repositories, just check if the repository which u tryin to Check In the document(CAD file) is giving u response..
i guess there must be some problem from server side.
just ask basis @ the same.
dont change config okk...

Check specific attributes from common views

Is there a was to only checkout certain attributes from a common view?
For example if I am only interested in checking out the lastLogon , userAccountControl and Description (AD) attributes from the "user" view. How would I do so with out checking out the entire "user" view?
During a workflow I wish to check out the specific attributes and then make my changes and then check the object back in.
Please let me know if this is possible.

Currently if i wanted to unlock all acount from a workflow I would use the following code. But I am really only using the "account locked" attribute so if there were a way to limit the view checkout to the "accountlocked" attribute then I could probably streamline the process.

How to set value from one view to other view's context node attr b4 save

My requirement is as below:
There are two views in component BP_CONT.
BP_CONT/ContactDetails    IMPL class
BP_CONT/SalesEmployee   SALESEMPLOYEE    STRUCT.SALESEMPLOYEE
I want to set value from first view to second view's context node's attribute.
i get Sales Employee BP number in ContactDetails view, from here i want to set that value in to STRUCT.SALESEMPLOYEE
of second view in the same component.
please send me code snippet for doing the same.

You can access the fields from different views by either using custom controllers or by using component controllers, in your case you can access the Sales employee BP number from the Component controller.
first access the component controller as below in BP_CONT/SalesEmployee (in do_prepare_output method) or in (specific setter method)

How can i access my old correspondense with old password in Mozilla Thunderbird? How can i check out from my password?

I had my website moved to other hosting. Accordingly, i changed a password, and when i checked in on my computer the first time with a new password, i stupidly checked the box "remember me on this computer", but i lost access to all my old emails that were laying in Thunderbird on my PC. How can i check out from the current password and log in with the old one so that i could access my old correspondense?

File > New > exisitng mail account
Enter name, email address and password
click on 'Continue'
If you do manage to get access, then synchronise the subscribed folders to get a copy downloaded to Thunderbird Profile folders. As those folders are constantly updating to match the server, once you have the emails downloaded, go into 'offline' mode and move them into 'Local Folders'; you will need to make new folders in Local Folders account for those emails.
However, it is possible that you may not get access as that contract has ended. There is no obligation for the old host company to keep your emails if you do not have an account with them. In which case those emails will be lost.
After creating new imap mail account, if you get access do as advised to get emails into Local Folders, once emails are in Local folders you can remove/delete the imap mail account. If it does not work, you can delete the imap mail account.

IPod touch music dissapears from album view and other things

I'm honestly suprised to the fact that my old iPod video works better on this factor than the iPod touch I upgraded to.
My problem lies in the fact of syncing makes my iPod decide certain things stay on Album view and dissapear from it. To give an example:
Before sync - Album of Disneyland Music is still together on album view and nothing has vanished.
Add in another song to the compilation of music on the album for easy listening.
Sync iPod
Album of Disneyland music has vanished completely and only the new song added in is viewable in the album listing.
Don't think that it's gone competely. I've searched and the music is actually in the iPod, just not in the albums listings. It's everywhere else listings on the iPod.
This has irked me ever since I bought the thing since another issue that just drives me up the wall. With my iPod video if I listed the music under an album it'd be sorted into the album with no problem. With the iPod touch however if ONE thing is off it gets sorted into its own lisiting on the Album view even though it shares the same Album title with another song. Example:
Old music that doesn't get recognized has to have information added in
Albums are correct
Artists are correct
Sync iPod
Album listing has multiple listings from the same album with the artists as its sorting spot. (or if it even showed up at all...)
I've tried multiple times to fix this and nothing works. (and i've checked and unchecked sort by album artist, no dice.) I attempted to contact an iTunes help as it was partly on the program's fault, the helper didn't understand what I was talking about. Can anyone help me here?
and no I can't resort to my iPod video as I've killed the selection middle button thanks to a game. That and it also had an issue with connecting and I kept having to refresh it.

I looked in Compilations and the album that's vanished from Album view isn't in there. I checked via Artist view and the songs are there so the music is in the iPod but it's being a little wise sucker and not showing me the album in the Album view.
I fear for the videos I have to put on my iPod for class reference today...

Event Receiver to get folder Names from List View Web Part

We have a requirement i.e.
On one of the page,there are some folders on the list view web part.
Now through event receiver i should pick the folder names from list view web part and
update the same in the list.
If that names already exists in the list then we should leave without updating,if not we have to add folder name in the list.
Please share your ideas regarding the same.

Hello,
LVWP is just for displaying content of site so you need to associate your event receiver with actual list/library. You can create ItemAdded event receiver to check existing folder and create new if not existing. "sk2014" links are good to start.

I want to retrieve the values of the <b>Field MNTXT from the view V_T530</b>.

Hi Nitin,
We can't directly refer a view to get data.
We need to refer the tables using which a view has been created.
Using those tables, we can fetch the data as per our requirement.
For suppose, if you go to a view in SE11, then click on Tables tab, there you can get the reference tables.Then you need to check for the fileld in those tables for which you require the data.
Post the query directly on the table instead of view.

Error while deleting UIElements from existing view of webdynpro project

1)Group Group2 header is missing
2)wdThis cannot be resolved.

First error comes when you deleted Group header but Group UI is there.
For Second one, check the names of UI elements different or not.

Switching from text view to visual view in SharePoint Designer 2013 crashes 100% of the time

Whenever I am in SharePoint Designer 2013 and try to switch a workflow from text view to visual view, SharePoint Designer crashes. Text workflows work fine. I have tried any of the solutions that I could find including:
- Removing KB2837633 and 2768006 (neither were installed)
- Installing SharePoint Designer 2013 SP1 (KB2817441)
- Performing a "Repair" on both SharePoint Designer 2013 and Visio 2013
- Clearing the caches in the AppData directory
- Setting Visual as the default mode for workflows to open in (so, not exactly switching, but trying to open it directly in the visual view)
Event viewer reports that it is an issue with Microsoft.Web.Authoring.ni.dll which throws an unhandled exception, System.AccessViolationException.
This is the error message:
System.AccessViolationException was unhandled

Message=Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt.
