Check in is not working on Facebook

after doing the update on Friday, neither my macbook pro nor my iphone4s will allow me to "check in" on Facebook-meaning it will show me on the small map at the top (on the phone) where I am, so the GPS is working, but it will not give me any choices to choose from to say where I am (it says "no nearby places" and asks me to manually enter the location)
anyone know why this is happening? Again- all of this happened after I completed the update. I am guessing I declined something somewhere...btw, the location thing is ON, as are all necessary tabs I have been directed to turn on...frustrating!!

I am having same issue, I have tried uninstalling and installing at about five times but still same result, what's going on with ISO6?

YYour annoyed at Facebook right since you're using their messenger app. Ask Facebook or look at their support site.

Facebook Check In/places not working?

I have the latest 9320 3g bb, i don't have the BB Addon, and im using wifi, when i try to check in it just says aquiring location and my location is never found. In my options GPS services are all on and in my fb settings places is also on but it's still not working? do i need to edit a privacy setting on fb? if so how and which one

Built-in iSight not working with Facebook

So iSight seems to be working with all of the applications, including Photo Booth and iChat, but for some reason it's not working for recording videos on Facebook. When I try to record a video, it says "search for cameras again". I'm wondering why it's doing this. Someone please help! Thank you!

Because this is not an Apple issue, I checked the related FaceBook FAQs:

I found nothing there that helped me, but, if you have success, please share what you find.
However, in FaceBook's Video: Bugs and Known Problems, I found this that leads me to believe ours is a known issue:
I can’t record a video on Facebook with my webcam.
Some users are having trouble recording videos on the site and will see a "cannot connect to server" message. Sometimes users might be able record videos but not save them. These problems generally occur when posting a video on a friend’s Wall or sending a video in a message. You can report this issue here.
I suggest you use the "here" link to report the problem you are having. Hopefully, FaceBook can get it resolved quickly.

The share-a-holic add on is not working on Facebook with 3.6

I can't seem to get Share-a -Holic to work on Facebook anymore! Just here recently it stopped working. Does anyone know why?

Yep, some, but not to many. I am always, most of the time running my cleaning utilities, like , Glary Utilities, Advanced Windows Care, Ashampoo 2010, cCleaner, Comodo System Cleaner, and Tweak Now Power Pack Reg Cleaner. But the Share-a-Holic has been working good up till recently. It works on Chrome most of time. I updated to the most recent FireFox browser, not 4, but 3.6 something.

Why does flash player not work with facebook?

Why does flash player not work with fcebook? Whenever I wish to view a video, I get the message that i need to upgrade my flash player. Then no matter how often I download and install flash player I still get the message that I need to upgrade my flash player. When I go check which version I have, I always get the message that I have the most current one. I run Mozilla Firefox with Windows. I don't know anything else.

This means you don't have the latest version installed. Update to 11.9.900.117, and Firefox will allow it: Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)

My flash player is not working in facebook on Safari. Why?

It works in Google Chrome but not in Safari.
I have actually Intel HD Graphics 5000, system OS X Yosemite 10.10.3, Adobe Flash player version 17.0.0.169.
It is not working for long time and I would like to correct it now.

Check for updates not working in 9 pro

I am running Acrobat 9 pro on a Vista machine. Acrobat appears to have been malfunctioning (bates numbering is not working properly), and I uninstalled (and deactivated) Acrobat, and then reinstalled it.
After reinstallation, I used the check for updates feature in the help menu to update from 9.0 to 9.2. But now every time I run Check for updates from Help, nothing updates. I get a dialog that there is an available update, and then an icon System Tray appears and a process is active for AdobeARM.exe. But nothing ever happens-no update. I then force close the process from the task manager, and still no success in getting Acrobat to update.
What can I do? Thanks very much.

Thank you for your rely. Here is the more detrailed info:
1. I pulled down the Help menu and chose Check for Updates.
2. A dialog appeared that said an update was available; I clicked on the button that indicated I wanted to download and install the update
3. Nothing further appeared onscreengiving my information or choice, but an incon then appeared in the system tray for the installer.
4. Hovering over the icon does not pop up any status information. If I click, double click, or right click on the incon in the system tray nothing pops up, and nothing appears. At that point I get absolutely no response.
5. If I go to task manager at that point it shows the active process AdobeARM.exe and gives no indication of it malfunctioning. But nothing installs and nothing downloads and nothing happens.
6. If I then pull down the Help menu and chose Check forUpdates again, I get a dialog that says the updater is already running.
7. All of this occured immedaitely after I reinstalled 9 pro.

Check addon update not working

Using v.22, when I click "check if plugins up to date" in the add-ons manager I get sent to a Mozilla info page and not the usual page that listed my plugins and their status. Why is "check plugins" not working and/or how can I otherwise check and update plugins as needed? Thanks.

I appreciate the prompt reply. I'm using the Add-ons Manager in FF and when I click the link at the top of the page I am sent to a page I hadn't seen before. The url is https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/. The same location I arrived at using the link in your reply. It is just an info page and does not list any of my plugins. In the past, following the "check" link in the Add-ons Manager gave me a page full of my plugins and I was able to update when indicated. Don't know if it matters but lately the update page had been showing that the some plugins were up to date and maybe half had a tab which said "Research." I haven't seen a plugin needing updating for several months. Still I would think that was the right place to determine if my plugins were up to date. If you or anyone else has any further ideas I'd appreciate hearing them. Thanks.

Instance 1: The physical consistency check has completed, but one or more errors were detected. The consistency check has terminated with error code of -106 (0xffffff96).
Event id 403;
Instance 1: The physical consistency check successfully validated 629126 out of 1110272 pages of database '\\?\GLOBALROOT\Device\HarddiskVolumeShadowCopy33\exchangedb\global\global.edb'. Because some database pages were either not validated or failed validation,
the consistency check has been considered unsuccessful.

From your error description, I recommend you do the following steps for troubleshooting:
1. Please run CHKDSK and restart server.
2. Run a Database level Mailbox repair request.

Why does 'check for updates' not work?

Just curious why the updates do not work? Is it just easier to download the release2?

Check for updates is intended for use after production when we might have small changes to 1-2 files. Our current releases have many changes to many files and might almost be as large as the download. Also, we are still making structural changes to the storage of the code (shifting around preferences, etc). For the Early Adopter Releases, we really want people to download and install in a clean directory. After production, we will support check for update.

[SOLVED] Spell Check on KDE4 not working.

So, I have Spell check enabled in systemsettings->locale. Further, I have enchant installed as well. However, spell check does not work on any application inside KDE (blogila, kword, kate etc). Am I missing any package?
EDIT: Please ignore. Fixed it. I was missing the ispell package.

In some sense, mount points are arbitrary -- you can mount a partition at /mnt/efi, at /boot/efi, at /Volumes/fred, at /some/weird/place, or whatever. It's probably best to install it to the OS X root partition rather than to the ESP, because some users have problems with ~30-second delays when starting rEFInd from the ESP, but normally not when started from an HFS+ volume. (The default behavior of install.sh under OS X is to install to the OS X root partition; to install to the ESP, you must add the --esp option.) If you want rEFInd to read your Linux filesystems, you can add the --alldrivers option to install.sh to install drivers; or you can manually install only the driver(s) you need.

Patch 1.1.3 - check for updates not working?

I can't get the check for updates to work.
Help/About shows I am running version 1.1.2.25, build main 25.79
Help/check for updates has the "Official Oracle extensions and Updates" and the "Oracle SQL Developer" boxes checked
When I search, it says no updates available. Do I need need to add another Update Center?
I'm running it on Windows XP, SP2

Try Help -> About -> Extensions and check the version
of Oracle SQL Developer. If this shows 1.1.3.27.66,
then you have already upgraded to 1.1.3.
Unfortunately, the version details on Help -> About
-> About are the details of the last full install -
they are not updated when upgrading via Check for
