Check-in override

This is a duplicate of an entry under Content Areas for which no one has replied. A reply would be appreciated in that I have been unable to find a definitive answer anywhere in documentation:
Short of resetting a user's password and logging in as them, is there anyway for a portal administrator to check-in a file that has been checked-out by a user?
We occasionally get users that check-out a file and then go on vacation or travel and forget to check it back in. This makes it rather challenging for whomever is filling in for them to update the same file.

  • On the network tab the override box is not checked to override automatic cache to 1024mb is it better to check the box or not?

    if i check the empty box to override the cache to 1024mb would the internet run faster or what would it do?

    I was having the same problem and was looking for solutions when I came across this posting. Disabling GoodSearch solved the problem for me. Hopefully GoodSearch will update soon and resolve the issue permanently so I can use it again.

  • Management Server Global Settings Override Being Ignored

    I have a SCOM 2012 Gateway server with a bunch of machines in an untrusted domain reporting back to it.
    These systems aren't too critical, so I wanted to adjust the number of missed heartbeats for them.  On the Gateway server in the Administration/Management Servers page, I've checked "Override global Management Server settings" and adjusted
    the number of missed heartbeats to 10.
    The problem that I have is that in testing this setting appears to be ignored.  On one of the managed servers I can stop the Health Service and wait, like before, after ~4 minutes I get the Health Service Heartbeat failure alert.  Has anyone else
    encountered this issue?

    First, Check the override setting in MT_Microsoft$SystemCenter$ManagementServertable, make sure the setting has been updated in Database. If it does, please restart the health State service on Gateway server.
    Another thing we need to check is the Heartbeat Interval, the default interval is 50 Secs.

  • Is there any other way to use a Batch Action Save as Without Using Override "Save As"

    The problem im having is, Ive made a Action which uses the save option several times though the action. When i try to run a batch action it just overrides the last file. When I check the Override Button the action does not work becuase i used save in my action in ealier steps. The action works perfect with one picture when doing it manually but it would take forever to do 1500 pictures manually. Any help would be great.
    Im trying to find a way to run the batch file and have it save as a diffrent file name each time.

  • What is "Override Common Settings"?

    Certain configuration settings exist at the Phone, Common Phone Profile, and the Enterprise Phone Configuration
    If you set a parameter at any of the following above mentioned levels - the setting that takes precedence is determined in the following order:
    1) Device Configuration window settings, 2) Common Phone Profile window settings, 3) Enterprise Phone Configuration window settings.
    For example - in the following example - Web Access would be DISABLED.
    Enterprise Phone Configuration
    Web Access = Enabled
    Override Common Settings = Unchecked
    Phone Device Configuration
    Web Access = Disabled
    Override Common Settings = Unchecked
    What if this was the scenario:
    Enterprise Phone Configuration
    Web Access = Enabled
    Override Common Settings = Checked
    Phone Device Configuration
    Web Access = Disabled
    Override Common Settings = Checked
    Would the NORMAL order once again apply (Phone - Common Phone Profile - Enterprise) and thus the PHONE setting OVERRIDES the other "Common" setting at the Enterprise level and web access would be DISABLED?
    TIA,
    Amir

    Hi Amir,
    Hope all is well my friend :)
    Yes, in your second example the web access would be disabled as the normal order does apply when making changes at the product-specific configuration level . The key to the override config is this part of the statement below;
    Override Common Settings Check Box
    When you set the parameters, check the Override Common Settings check box for each setting that you wish to update. If you do not check this box, the corresponding parameter setting does not take effect. If you set the parameters in the three configuration windows, the setting takes precedence in the following order:
    Phone Configuration window
    Common Phone Profile window
    Enterprise Phone Configuration window

  • Funds Availability Check on Shopping Carts

    We turned on funds availability a few months ago and are now hitting a road block with the new fiscal year.  I'm hoping someone else came across this situation and has a resolution.
    A user creates a cart in FY 08 and puts it on hold.  They wait for the new fiscal year to begin and want to process the cart.  But, the system is still checking the available funds in FY 08.  How do we tell the system to look at the current date instead of the creation date?  Our configuration is based on document/posting date and not delivery date.
    The only solution I have come up with is to have the user create a new cart (by copying the previous one).  That way, the creation date is in FY 09 instead of FY 08.  Are there any other ways?
    Monique Stephens

    I don't have experience with SRM but I would suggest to check the following:
    re-initialize the AVC ledger
    In SPRO FM under the commitment/actual integration check the <override update profile> for val type '50' & '51'
    Check your posting address, budget address and AVC address for the new year and make sure they're valid for the commitment
    If everything else fails try to close the old FM year in FMIR

  • Restricting P_ORGIN checks to the current state of an employee

    Hello everyone,
    as part of our authorization concept, we are using the field PERSG in authorization object P_ORGIN (and P_ORGINCON) to determine whether a user has access to the infotypes of a given employee.
    In the current example, the user may access employees with a personnel group (PERSG) '1' - '9', but not 'M', because our PERSG 'M' stands for 'manager', so his P_ORGIN and P_ORGINCON are restricted to PERSG BETWEEN '1' AND '9'. Basically, this works nicely.
    However, there are cases in which an employee is promoted to manager level. His former PERSG in infotype 0001 is '1', but beginning from a certain date, his PERSG changes to 'M'. The autorization system now lets the user still see the former periods of time of this employee during which his PERSG was still '1', even though now he is 'M'. I understand that this is correct system behavior as SAP designed it. However, in our case it is undesired by the management. Once an employee has been promoted to PERSG 'M', none of his infotype periods should be visible to any user who does not have the 'M' authorization level.
    Is there a way to achieve this?

    Hello Eva,
    thank you very much, that appears to be the right track already. Trouble is, HRPAD00AUTH_TIME is very poorly documented. It has two methods "CONSIDER_SY_DATUM_EXIT" and "BEGDA_ENDDA_COMPARE_EXIT" which have documentations of their own.
    The documentation of CONSIDER_SY_DATUM_EXIT says that this method is only applicable if T528A-VALDT is set to 'X'. However, the whole table T528A does not even exist in our system?! (7.40)
    Documentation of BEGDA_ENDDA_COMPARE_EXIT leaves me pretty clueless how to interpret the IMPORTING parameters. I would have expected to be able to set the new time for which the system shall check the authorization. However, the only available export parameters allow me to set whether authorization is given or not, overriding the standard coding. So it seems that with this method I am not changing the time period for the check, but overriding the whole authorization process altogether?!
    My other hope was note 570161, but the BADI HRPAD00CHECK_TIME which is referred to there does not seem to exist in our release anymore, so I assume it is obsolete.
    Do you happen to know anything more about the BADI that would make its usage for my purpose more transparent?

  • Min Max check

    Hello
    DC521 activity check the mix and max limit of the DC parameteer already collected, if I already NOT checked the ‘Override Min/Max’ then this check will be done at before saving the DC record.
    So DC521 works when I allow to override the min and max value while collecting data by checking that check box and do the check later in the process through DC521, please suggest ?
    Another question same area
    In DC parameter details screen -
    Difference between ‘Override Min/Max’ and ‘Soft Limit Check on Min/Max Value’?
    Thanks

    Hi!
    Technically there is no difference between Override Min/Max and Soft Limit Check now. Originally the latter was meant for QM groups received from ERP, but eventually this restriction was not implemented. Override Min/Max as ME original feature not related to ERP integration was meant for usage along with Certification check.

  • Error "424 Object Required" when opening journal report using HFM 11.1.2.1

    Hi experts,
    I've installed EPM 11.1.2.1 along with Hyperion Financial Management and Financial Reporting on an virtual machine (OS is windows server 2008),
    when I logon to workspace and tried to open an journal report in HFM-Format, appears error message as follows:
    An error has occurred. Please contact your administrator
    Error Number:424
    Error Description: Object required
    Error Source: Microsoft VBScript runtime error
    Page On which Error Occurred:../reports/CheckStatus.asp
    I've checked oracle support and found article ID 967025.1 describing almost the same issue of mine,
    but the suggested solution was to add workspace and HFM web server to trusted site. (I'm using IE9)
    I did so as well as other recommended browser settings but still the error remains.
    The article said the solution was applied to Version 9.2.0.0 to 11.1.1.3, so I'm not sure if version 11.1.2.1 has other causes or solutions.
    Could experts provide any ideas?

    I believe you might have already done with the below steps, but please reconfirm:
    1) Ensure, that both the Hyperion Workspace URL AND the HFM webservername i.e(Http://<hfmwebservername>/hfm) is added in the sites button in the Trusted sites option. under Security tab.
    2) Here is a list of Internet Explorer settings which are recommended to be set on the client machine:
    1. Configure browser to check for new version every time user visits a page
    * Open Internet Explorer
    * Go to Tools > Internet options > General
    In 'Browsing history' section select 'Every time I visit the webpage'
    * Click Ok, then Apply.
    2. Disable default pop-up blocking
    * Open Internet Explorer
    * Go to Tools > Internet options > Privacy tab
    Uncheck 'Turn on Pop-up Blocker'
    3. Add workspace URL to trusted sites
    * Open Internet Explorer
    * Go to Tools > Internet options > Security tab
    * Select Trusted sites from Select a zone to view or change security settings.
    * Type your workspace URL in form http://workspaceserver:portnumber in 'Add this website to the zone'
    * Uncheck 'Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone'
    * Click Add, then Close.
    * Click Ok and Apply.
    4. Minimize security setting for trusted sites
    * Open Internet Explorer
    * Go to Tools > Internet options > Security tab
    * Select Trusted Sites from select a zone to view or change security settings
    * Select custom level
    * From Reset to list select Low
    * Click Ok
    * Click Apply, then Ok
    5. Customize security settings
    * Open Internet Explorer
    * Go to Tools > Internet options > Security Tab > Custom Level
    * In 'Miscellaneous' section enable the option "Allow script-initiated windows without size or position constraints"
    * In 'ActiveX controls and plug-ins' section enable “Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins” and “Script ActiveX controls marked safe for scripting.”
    6. Enable option "Always allow session cookies".
    * Open Internet Explorer
    * Go to Tools > Internet options > Privacy Tab > Advanced > Check the "Override automatic cookie handling" and accept the first and third party cookies and check the "Always allow session cookies" option.
    7. Disable option "Enable Native XMLHTTP".
    * Open Internet Explorer
    * Go to Tools > Internet options > Advanced Tab > Uncheck the option "Enable Native XMLHTTP"
    If still facing the same issue, perform the below action plan:
    1) Give full permission to Filetransferfolder and try generating the reports.
    2) Add the Everyone user and dcom user to BIPubSystemReports.
    DCOM Config-> BIPubSystemReports-> Security tab-> add the users in Launch and Activation Permission, Access permissions and Configuration Permissions.
    Best regards.

  • Need to Run Photoshop Action on every image in Export!

    I would really save a ton of time if I could select a specific PS action to run automatically as a last step in the export process, like Image Processor script, only populated with the current set being developed.
    The process would go like this: Lightroom develops raws, then communicates with photoshop by opening it, if not already open, and then running the action(s) identified in the export settings, without any user input. For example, process raws to jpgs then run a smart sharpen action on the newly created folder of images.
    Thanks! And let me know if anyone has written a script to do this feature yet. -Dave

    Figured out how to get rid of the save as prompt. This may cause confusion with others out there, so I'll post it.
    1. You have to record a "save as" step in your action (I also recorded the "close" step), dont worry about the name here, just set the JPG setting you want in your action.
    2. Then when you create your droplet, the key is to check the override save as box.
    The combination of these two steps will get PS to sub your original filename/location recorded in your save as step in the action with the current filename (variable) the loop in the droplet passes.
    Doing only one or the other will get you a JPG prompt. Do both together. The logic here confused me. I would rather be able to specify the JPG settings in the Droplet dialog and have that written to the script without recording any save as step in my action. (like Image Processor script)

  • ToolTip in OBIEE 11G Reports when we hover on its data!!

    Hello gurus,
    I have a requirement where I have to display ToolTip in OBIEE 11G reports when one hovers on its data. For example, If I have a column in a report which displays "serial no." say the data in column is 1,2,3,4,5 etc. when I hover on 1, it should display name corresponding to it. when I hover on 2, it should display another name.
    These values which will be displayed on hover action can be hardcoded, they are static values.
    Thanks in advance !!

    Hi User,
    Try this , Goto Column Properties of a particular Column ->Data Format->Check mark "Override Default Data Format" and select
    Treat Numbers As : Custom
    In Custom Numeric Format, Copy paste this code: [html]<p title=\""Comments which you want to Mention" \">#

  • SL510 Blue Screen of Death in Win 7

    Using a brand new Lenovo SL510 laptop running Win 7 Pro SP1 (Model 2847, System Type x64-based PC
    Processor Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T6670  @ 2.20GHz, 2201 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 2 Logical Processor(s)
    BIOS Version/Date LENOVO 6JET88WW (1.46 ), 04/01/2011, SMBIOS Version 2.5), I experienced serious problems with Blue Screens of Death involving the built-in Intel wireless card.
    I was attempting to connect through an ad hoc network to another, older Thinkpad T42 (running WinXP), whose dialup modem I need at the moment for Internet access (wireless access in my current location is flakier than a Crisco pie crust).  The SL510 can see the ad hoc network, and connects to it, but most of the time cannot access the Internet through the modem.  I'm confident that the modem on the T42 has been properly shared through ICS, since three cell phones and a MacBook are quite capable of reaching the Internet through it.  Only the SL510 fails to connect.  Most of the time.  I've managed a working connection twice, but whenever the SL510 goes into power saving mode, the connection to the ad hoc network drops and never returns.
    I've tried both the Lenovo Access Connections utility and Windows Network and Sharing Centre to connect to the ad hoc network.  With Access Connections, I see the ad hoc network in the display shown under the "Connect to the Internet" tab, click its icon and press "Connect", then enter the network key (set up under WEP-64).  The Location field then shows the ad hoc network display with a green region progressing across the background.  Two windows then open (behind Access Connections...I have to dig them out): one titled "Set Network Location" asking me to choose Home, Work or Public network configurations, the other titled "Access Connections" asking "Would you like to keep this connection as one of your locations" and showing the ad hoc network name in the box labelled "Location Name:").  In each case I've selected "Home" as the network configuration (generating another window confirming "The network location is now Home") and "Save" for the "keep this connection".
    At any point from here, I will see the blue screen of death, but it's not immediate.
    If the BSoD doesn't hit early, I will have time to try to connect to the Internet.  First, though, I try to change the power configuration so the wireless card will not be turned off.  By switching to "Advanced" mode in Access Connections, I select the "Wireless Settings" tab and through the "Settings" button of the "4. Advanced Settings" field, select the "Maximum Performance" Power save mode.  When I click OK to exit the Edit Profile dialog box, a popup titled "Access Connections" appears complaining "DHCP IP configuration is not supported for ad hoc connection.  Use static IP configuration".  Access Connections even obliges me somewhat by selecting the "Additional Settings" tab and checking the "Override TCP/IP and DNS defaults" box, with the only actionable box being "Settings" for that choice.  I open those settings, and under the assumption that I'm supposed to provide my own IP address, I enter 198.168.0.2 with a Subnet mask of 255.255.255.0.
    That makes my original ad hoc network connection vanish from Access Connection's "Connect to the Internet" display, but it still has my ad hoc network location next to a "Connect" button, so I try that.   Once again I'm asked to select a location for my network, but this time the network name is suffixed with a "2".  In previous efforts I've found this continues with "3", "4", etc.  In some cases, I can click "Home" network all I want but Windows ignores me.  In other cases I get confirmation that I've selected a "Home" network.
    However this works out, I try IE9 to see if I can reach the Internet.  In two cases this has worked (for hours...once it works it works fine), but most of the time this fails and I get the "Diagnose Connection Problems" screen.  When I ask for that diagnosis, Windows Network Diagnostics tells me the problem is I haven't configured my ad hoc network for automatic configuration and offers to fix that for me.  I select "Apply this Fix".  Network Diagnostics sometimes says it's fixed the problem, but usually finishes complaining it could only "Detect" manual connection to my ad hoc network and that there's a problem with my wireless adapter or access point.
    At this point I often get a frozen system or BSoD.  When I don't, I've tried repeating these steps, but nothing reliably gets me a connection.  A lockup or BSoD is all that ever awaits.
    This is rather disconcerting considering that a MacBook and three cell phones can accomplish blindfolded what a brand new Lenovo ThinkPad equipped with Microsoft's latest and supposedly best OS crashes on, but "surprised" is not one of the adjectives I'd apply here.  I would apply "grateful" if this description registers with someone who has suggestions that might get me through this.
    Thanks for your help.

    i have the exact same computer runing winxp 32bit sp3 and it works fine with out any viruses but it's maybe that the hardware is the plobem or if you have any software you might want to disable it and use the Thinkvantage Access Connections and when i ever close the computer lid it stops the wireless adapter and when i turn it back on its not connected is there any way to disable it or stop it from doing that?

  • Photoshop CS6 - Batch function will not save files

    OK, I have used the "Automate/Batch" function well over a hundred times, so this situation (first time using it in CS6) is VERY frustrating!
    Running Adobe CS6 extended v. 13.0.1 x32 on a Win XP sp3 OS.
    I have a slew of photos that need nothing done except to resize from the native file size to 6 in x 4 in @ 150 ppi and save into a new folder (to not override the original).  I have recorded the action multiple times now and each time I run the action, the files do not save! Here are the various parameters I've used:
    Attempt #1:
         Action Steps Recorded -
    Open
    Save for web (set size parameters here)
    Close

    Please help!  This has never been a problem before CS6 and I truly am at my wits end trying to figure out why the files will not save.  I have several hundred files that I need to run this on, so doing it individually is not an option.
    Thanks in advance for any and all insights!

    I'm having a problem with Automating > Batch as well. Strange enough, I did a batch of other photos and it worked fine. Selecting a new set of folders is not working at all; the files simply pop open and then close but the destination folder remains empty. It also doesn't appear the actions are occuring since I don't see them highlighting as the automation runs. I have no idea why it would work then not. BTW, "Override Action "Save As" is unchecked.

    UPDATE: I put a "save as" command at the beginning of the action, then checked the "Override Action "Save As" box and it somehow works now, but not before stalling on an image (normally the last in the folder) and complaining that the image was being used in another program. The only other program opened was Bridge so I'm unsure why it had a problem. I closed both programs and ran the automation with nothing else opened and it worked ... ?? Confused, but not complaining (for now).

  • Can't open a whack of photos by dragging to PS icon in dock

    I was able to do this. I install Snow Leopard and now this photoshop feature is not working. Any suggestion on how to fix?

    I realize this has been answered, but I found a nice workaround that may work for some. I am posting in this thread because it was helpful to me. I will also begin a new thread that contains the same info.
    It was as simple as creating a DROPLET and then dragging the multiple files (JPG, TIF, EPS, etc) onto the DROPLET to get them all to open at once. Here are the steps I took:
    • I created a new action in Photoshop CS3 and named it OPEN FILES
    • I hit the action RECORD button
    • I did a FILE>OPEN and chose a single file
    • I hit the action STOP button
    • I did a FILE>AUTOMATE>CREATE DROPLET
    • I selected the OPEN FILES action and named my droplet OPEN FILES
    • I checked the OVERRIDE ACTION "OPEN" COMMANDS
    • I hit the OK button
    Now I can select multiple files and drag them onto the DROPLET rather than dragging them to the PS icon in my dock or an alias of PS.
    It may not be a perfect solution and your mileage may vary, but it worked for me and now I can wait for either a patch from Apple or wait until we upgrade to CS5.
    I hope this helps some. Have a great day!

  • Firefox is creating endless copies of C:\Documents and Settings\Catain Kirk\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\afbrfhnj.default\Cache ... how do I stop it

    I just installed 9.0.1 and it continually creates copies of C:\Documents and Settings\Catain Kirk\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\afbrfhnj.default\Cache ... how do I stop it !!!
    I'm running Windows XP Version 5.1 SP3.

    Hi,
    That is the disk cache of Firefox, where contents of loaded pages are kept for faster retrieval and it also helps to conserve bandwidth. To disable this: '''Tools''' ('''Alt''' + '''T''') > '''Options''' > '''Advanced''' > '''Network''', check (tick) '''Override automatic cache management ''' and put the value at zero.
