Check Indicator Values

Hi All,
Could anyone explain the difference between the following different check indicators:
Check with default "No"
Check with default "Yes"
Check with default to be set ("Yes" or "No")
Thanks a lot in advance.
Regards, Pradeep

Straight from SAP Help:
The proposal status of an authorization object defines whether or not an authorization default value for the object is to be added in the profile generator to the authorizations of the role when the application is added to a role. Possible values are "Yes" or "No".
"Yes".  An authorization default value with the stored authorization field values is added to the role. The field values should also be maintained - as far as possible, and as long as this is useful.
"No".  No authorization default value is added to the role.
' '.  Initial value. This value shows that the application developer responsible has not yet decided whether "Yes" or "No" is to be set here.

  • How to force check right value of a JTable cell?

    Hi,
    I have a JTable with a column that must have a value no empty and between 0 and 100. I made a sample with only one column for simplicity.
    The code works fine when the user types some value. However, when the user press ENTER to go to next column, without editing the cell, no checks run.
    I have also other column that the user may type a part of a name and the system must find the full name of a person. In this column, if user uses ENTER without editing the cell, the same problem ocurrs.

    }Then, I'd like to know if there is any way to check the user typed ENTER to go out of the cell, check the value of the cell and, if it is wrong, to come back to the cell, forcing the user to type a right value.

    Editing to force the entry of data in a cell is typically done when you press a button to process the data. It doesn't make sense to "edit" the cell when the user presses enter to go to the next cell. What if the user never places focus on a particular cell. Then the cell will never be edited.
    To force a user to enter a valid value once they have started editing you can do something like this:
    http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?forumID=57&threadID=575309
    But you can't force a user to visit every cell in the table so you need to handle that as described above.

  • Check boxes not checked when value passed through a request

    I've a URL which sets default-check box values -
    f?p=121:41:&SESSION.::YES::P41_OWNER,P41_AI_TYPE:&BUGDB_USER.,\5,6,7\
    where "\5,6,7\" is the value of check-boxes.
    On Page 41, I compute P41_AI_TYPE as follows (as a Process - On Load Before Regions) -
    begin
    if (:P41_AI_TYPE = '5,6,7') then
    *:P41_AI_TYPE := '6:7:5';*
    end if;
    end;
    There are 3 conditional reports that are generated on the page 41 based on these values. i.e. 5,6,7. All the three reports are displayed indicating that the reports do indeed see the P41_AI_TYPE variable.
    The "Debug" shows
    0.03: ...Session State: Saved Item "P41_AI_TYPE" New Value="6:7:5"
    prior to displaying the checkbox
    The "Session" also shows -
    121     41     P41_AI_TYPE     Checkbox     6:7:5     U
    However none of the check-boxes are checked.
    What could be the issue ?

  • Passing check box values to WHERE clause

    Hi,
    I have created a Data block - 'CONTACTS' (Database data block)
    and has database item - 'Code', 'Descr'
    The number of records displayed is set to 5.
    Value When checked - 'Y'
    Value When Unchecked - 'N'
    Check box mapping of other values - 'unchecked'
    I am writing the code inside 'WHEN BUTTON PRESSED'. My main objective is to return the count of records based
    based on several conditions and one among them is CODE which is can be single or multiple based on the check box checked.
    The requirement is when i check one or multiple checkboxes, i should pass the 'Code' item values to the WHERE clause.
    Right now whenver i am trying to do so, only the current record value is copied to the WHERE clause.
    I have tried using basic loop but things havnt worked.
    Logic tried with basic LOOP
    BEGIN
    GO_BLOCK('CONTACT');
    IF :contact.cb = 'Y' THEN
    LOOP
    IF p_where is null then
    p_where := :contact.code;
    else
    p_where := p_where ||','||:contact.code;
    end if;
    exit when :system.last_record = 'TRUE';
    next_record;
    END LOOP;
    end if;
    MESSAGE ( 'p_where :'||p_where);
    MESSAGE (' ');
    END;
    And Even if i write the LOOP before the first IF, it return me the current record value and move to the last record.
    please guide me where am i wrong.
    Regards.
    Anoop.

    Try something like this:
    FIRST_RECORD;
    LOOP
      IF :contact.cb = 'Y' THEN
        IF p_where is null then
           p_where := :contact.code;
         else
           p_where := p_where ||','||:contact.code;
         end if;
       END IF;
      exit when :system.last_record = 'TRUE';
      next_record;
    END LOOP;
    -- END LOOP;
    MESSAGE ( 'p_where :'||p_where);
    MESSAGE (' ');
    END;

    Hi,
    Is there any standard report to check "consumption" values for multiple materials? The user needs to check the consumption values over a period of time for multiple materials (VERP, ROH) before deciding the re-order and safety stock values for them. Any help on this will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,

  • How to insert check box value in table?

    Hi all
    kindly help me how to insert check box value in database. what code i have to use as i am new in programing.
    thanx in advance

    Hi,
    There is no "Check box" in a table, a check box is a GUI (Graphical user interface) item.
    What you want is to store a boolean value in a table. For that you can use the varchar2(1) datatype and store Y or N. (or anything else)
    (you cannot define boolean as a datatype for a column).
    If you're using a front-end application like apex then it might be useful for you to read the documentation about chekc boxes :
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E10513_01/doc/appdev.310/e10497/check_box.htm#CHDDFBFH
    (for the rest if it's Oracle Forms then everything is already said).

  • Status list based on status lists.../ Indicator values always 0

    Hi, any help or thoughts would be appreciated.
    Basically what I'm doing is calculating status list values based on data in excel sheets. This seems to work as expected. I'll call these sub-status lists from now on.
    The next thing I wanted to do is have an "overview" status list that basically gives the status of each sub-status list. If there are any indicators in one of the sub-status lists that haven't met their goal (currently yellow or red), I want the
    indicator corresponding to that sub-status list in the overview status list to show as red.
    I've tried creating a new column in the sub-status lists called 'goal met' that is a calculated column using the formula
    =IF([Lower values are better],IF([Indicator Value]<=[Indicator Goal Threshold],1,0),IF([Indicator Value]>=[Indicator Goal Threshold],1,0))
    However, the only way to get this to work is setting the Goal Thresholds to 0, since that is what the Indicator Values always seem to return (despite them displaying non-zero values when I view the list manually).
    Am I going about this incorrectly, or is there a different (and free) way to accomplish my goal of having an overview status list?
    Thanks,
    Chris

    So when a status list indicator is set to update automatically, its indicator value is not stored, and it seems like the only way to see it/your current status is to view the list or use a status list web part to do so for you. Setting the indicators to
    update manually made the indicator values be stored, so I was able to base another status list off of these values.

    Hi Raju,
    Try this.  Create another dataprovider within your web template?  This new dataprovider refers to a similar query, but this query definition should restrict values CG1, CG2, CG3 and CG4.  Assign this dataprovider to your checkbox.  Then make sure the properties of the checkbox affect all other dataproviders.
    Also, if this list is static, you could create an HTML checkbox object coding the options (cg1, cg2, cg3, and cg4) programmatically.  Then add javascript code to produce the proper filtering based on the users' selections.
    Let me know what happens.

    You may have working code now, but the code you posted is horrible and I'm going to tell you a much much much better approach for the JDBC part. (You should probably isolate your database code from your user interface code as well, but I'm skipping over that structural problem...)
    Do this instead:
        public void getData(String a){
            PreparedStatement p;
            String strQuery = "select count(*) the_count from customer where id = ?";
            try {
             //create a prepared statement object to execute sql statements, it's better, faster, safer
             p = c.prepareStatement(strQuery);
                // bind the parameter value to the "?"
                p.setInt(1, Integer.parseInt(a) );
                //execute the query
                ResultSet rs = p.executeQuery( );
                // if the query doesn't throw an exception, it will have exactly one row
                rs.next();
                System.out.println("i am testing");
                if (rs.getInt("the_count") > 0 ) {
                // it's there, do what you need to...
             else
                  JOptionPane.showMessageDialog(null,"I could not find the value");
            catch (SQLException e) {
                 // JOptionPane.showMessageDialog(null,"You may enter wrong id");
                 // if you get an exception, something is really wrong, and it's NOT user error
            // always, always, ALWAYS close JDBC resources in a finally block
            finally
                p.close();
        }First, this is simpler and easier to read.
    Second, this retrieves just the needed information, whether or not the id is in the database. Your way will get much much slower as more data goes into the database. My way, if there is an index on the id column, more data doesn;t slow it down very much.
    I've also left some important points in comments.
    No guarantees that there isn't a dumb typo in there; I didn't actually compile it, much less test it. It's at least close though...

  • Stored procedure for checking Invoice value if more than R 15 000

    Hi All
    I have a problem with my stored procedure below, i want to check the doctotal if it above R 15 000 , if it is then it checks if the supplier has a tax clearance cert.
    IF @transaction_type = 'A' AND @object_type = '22'
    BEGIN
    If exists (SELECT T0.cardcode, t0.docentry  FROM OPOR T0 where T0.DOCTOTAL >'15,000.00' and T0.U_TAXCLEAR IS NULL AND T0.docentry=@list_of_cols_val_tab_del)
         begin
              SET @error = 10
              SET @error_message = N'Amount is above R 15 000 please select Supplier with Valid Tax Certificate'
    END
    END
    I tried this executing the sp and there was this error
    Msg 208, Level 16, State 6, Procedure SBO_SP_TransactionNotification, Line 41
    Invalid object name 'dbo.SBO_SP_TransactionNotification'.
    In this case line 41 is 2nd END.
    Thanks

    Hi all
    Thanks for the replies , forgot to mention a few requirements.
    In addition to the to checking the value above  R 15 000 I want to check if a tax certificate field is populated , if it is then checks if the expiry date is not null.
    please check the query I tried below.
    IF @transaction_type = 'A' AND @object_type = '22'
    BEGIN
        IF EXISTS (SELECT T0.CardCode FROM dbo.OPOR T0
        WHERE T0.DOCTOTAL > 15000 AND T0.U_TAXCLEAR IS NULL AND T0.DocEntry=@list_of_cols_val_tab_del)
        BEGIN
    SET @error = 10
    SET @error_message = 'Amount is above R 15 000, a valid Tax Certificate is required'
    END
    END
    IF @transaction_type = 'A' AND @object_type = '22'
    BEGIN
        IF EXISTS (SELECT T0.CardCode FROM dbo.OPOR T0 WHERE T0.U_EXPIRYDATE IS NULL AND T0.DocEntry=@list_of_cols_val_tab_del)
        BEGIN
    SET @error = 10
    SET @error_message = 'Tax Certificate expiry date is required'
    END
    END
    Thanks

  • How to check the value in Table CDPOS

    Mostly I can't see the following fields value in the table CDPOS,
      (1) CDPOS-VALUE_NEW
      (2) CDPOS-VALUE_OLD
    In fact, it should have values, so how to check the values, is there any special method needed?
    Thanks and best regards.

    Ferry Lianto,
    Thank you very much for your expertise.
    It's helpful to get some contents via FM:CHANGEDOCUMENT_READ_POSITIONS, the problem is, to some kind of DELETION operation, the log in table CDPOS is very simple, I still don't know which contents were deleted even though I found records in table CDPOS.
    Is there any other suggestions?
    Thanks and best regards.

  • DataStoreException for multi-table inheritence using numeric indicator value

    I am using multi-table inheritance with Kodo 2.5.5
    Relevant kodo.properties are:
    com.solarmetric.kodo.PersistentTypes=com.letsys.erespond.business.model.netw
    ork.PowerTransformer,com.letsys.erespond.business.model.network.Device,com.l
    etsys.erespond.business.model.network.ElectricalDevice,com.letsys.erespond.b

    javax.jdo.PersistenceManagerFactoryClass=com.solarmetric.kodo.impl.jdbc.JDBC
    PersistenceManagerFactory
    com.solarmetric.kodo.impl.jdbc.DefaultSubclassProviderClass=com.solarmetric.
    kodo.impl.jdbc.ormapping.IntegerSubclassProvider
    I have given each of my PC classes s a numeric subclass indicator value (to
    improve join performance)
    e.g.
    <extension vendor-name="kodo" key="subclass-indicator-value" value="1">
    </extension>
    Here is my query code, the exception is at the end of the email:
    Extent e = pm.getExtent(Device.class, true);
    Query q = pm.newQuery(e, "active == p1");
    q.declareParameters("int p1");
    Collection c = (Collection)q.execute(new Integer(1));
    Iterator iter = c.iterator();
    while (iter.hasNext()) {
    Device d = (Device)iter.next();
    System.out.println("name="+d.getName());
    NOTE: The above code works if I first do a similar query, but specify the
    subclass in the pm.getExtent()
    It seems to me that the persistent classes listed in kodo.properties are not
    getting loaded.
    I also get this from debug on startup

    Marc,
    All of my PC classes are in the result of the api call you suggested:

    [junit] Kodo type[1] = com.letsys.erespond.business.model.network.Device

    Chris-
    Strange. It does seem like your PersistentTypes property is not being
    used at all.
    Can you try casting your pmf to a JDBCPersistenceManagerFactory and
    seeing if your types have actually been registered with:
    String[] types = pmf.getConfiguration ().getPersistentTypeNames ();

    Hi Patrick,
    Just tried it and yes, doing a Class.forName() on the classes I insert
    does provide a work-around.
    Any idea what is causing this ?

    Chris,
    What happens if you do a Class.forName() (or just a class reference) to
    each of your persistent classes before executing any JDO code?

  • How to check 1000+ values comming as In parameter in plsql code.

    Hi,
    For a PLSQL procedure
    I am geting in all 5 parameters from front end. One of which is a comma separated list of 1000+ values. Now I need to check these values to retrieve from the database.
    eg. create procedure sp1(param1 date, param2 varchar2,param3.....,param5 varchar2)
    as
    begin
    select col1,col2,col3 from tab1
    where param1 = to_date(date)
    and param2 = 'abcd'
    and param5 = (list coming from front end)
    How should I pass this list to param5 for selection criteria so that each time single value is retrieved and row is returned to the front end
    Also How should I return this resultset to front end. Should I use OUT parameter as sysrefcursor?
    it will really help me if I get any example on above problem.
    Thanks in advance.

    Bad design. Fifth parameter should be collection. Anyway:
    and ',' || list-coming-from-front-end || ',' like '%,' || param5 || ',%'SY.Unfortunatly there is a high chance that this fails because of the 4000 characters limitation in sql.
    If there are truely 1000+ values. Lets assume 1100.
    This means: 1100 characters just for the comma + at least 1100 characters for single char values.
    Single chars of cause do not make sense. Most languages don't have so much different characters, this means the list would have repeating values.
    If we assume that all values are different, this means we are speaking about a minimum of 3 chars.
    Therefore 1100 + 3* 1100 = 4400 chars. SQL limit broken.
    I think the only solid solution would be to build a collection/array/temp table structure and then work with that.

  • How to check the value of "The Interrupt Status Flag"?

    Hi, thank you for reading this post!
    Invoking Thread.interrupt() sets the value of the Interrupt Status Flag.
    Just wondering if there is a Java method to check the value of this flag? Or is using isInterrupted() or interrupted() the only way to check?
    http://download.oracle.com/javase/tutorial/essential/concurrency/interrupt.html
    Thank you in advance for your help!
    Eric

    Below is the full code. As soon as the Thread.sleep() is taken out in main(), the interrupt is detected in the child thread. But if the sleep() stays, then the child thread goes into an infinite loop. It's not detected the interrupt.
    //ParentInterruptChildThreadCatchedDemo.java
    //Program function: This program demonstrates the parent thread (main()) interrupting a child thread (thread1).
    //Threaded class
    class TryThread extends Thread {
         //fields
         private String threadname;
         private long aWhile;
         //Constructor
         public TryThread(String tname, long delay) {

              aWhile = delay;
         //run() method
         public void run() {
              while(!Thread.interrupted()) {
                   //Do work
              try {
                   System.out.println(Thread.currentThread().getName() + " was just interrupted!");

                   System.out.println("main() goes to sleep for 10 second.");
                   Thread.sleep(10000);

                  for(int i=0; i<11; i++) {
                       if(i == interruptFlag) {
                            System.out.println("Condition met, going to interrupt thread1 ...");
                            thread1.interrupt();
                            System.out.println("Thread1 interrupted!");

    Hi,
    In your event handler you can use bol entity corresponding to status BTStatusH and change the user status.
