Office 2013 vs SharePoint 2010 - Unable to check out documents to SharePoint drafts folder
My company is foisting Office 2013 on us without upgrading SharePoint 2010 Enterprise. One of the issues I have discovered since receiving Office 2013 is that SharePoint no longer provides the option to save checked out documents to my local drafts folder.
This is despite having Office set to save checked-out files to the server drafts location and the Office Document Cache Handler enabled in IE9. Is there a registry setting or something I can change that will re-enable this feature?Hi Nellie,
According to your description, my understanding is that you want to re-enable the add-on Office Document Cache Handler in IE9.
We can re-enable the add-on in IE9 using Group Policy:
Launch the Group Policy Editor.
Go to User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Internet Explorer > Security Features > Add-on Management >
Add-on List.
Set this policy to 'Enabled'.
In the Add-on List, add the CLSID of BHO (Browser Helper Object) (i.e.) {B4F3A835-0E21-4959-BA22-42B3008E02FF} as the ‘Value Name’ and 1 as the 'Value'.
Log out of the machine and log back in again for the setting to take effect.

Hello everyone,
I am trying to put a document together to have a check list for integration testing. does anybody have anything like this that can share? Or any tips of what steps should be taken in consideration to complete integration testing?
Thank you for your help!Hi,
1) Integration testing validate end to end business scenarios including interfaces. Use converted data (if applicable and based on the data strategy). Can be executed in multiple cycles based on the implementation strategy
2) Scenario-based testing across process areas
May include multiple t-codes, or equivalent units in a string or sequence
3) Testing across modules
4) Primarily deals with cross-application chains that directly or potentially impact each other
5) Consists mostly of positive testing with selected negative testing
6) Executed in the Quality Assurance test environment
7) Integration Testing will be performed in multiple cycles
8) Next cycle should not begin if critical discrepancies have not been dispositioned. All Integration test discrepancies must be closed by the end of the last integration test cycle
9) A discrepancy can be dispositioned if:
Retest Passes or
Workaround approved or
Alternate resolution approved

Check list for Customization of FI module
SAP Guru's
Can any one guide me for Steps/check list for customisation of FI module
and how to document it.
SandeepHi,
In SAP, there are quite a few configuration steps which are required in each and every FI implementation. However, it will be different in each client, depending upon several factors like Business Processes / requirements of the client / what modules are being implemented / what interfaces are to be maintained etc.
Similarly, if FI module alone is implemented it will be simple, but if FI and CO are implemented, it will be complex. Hence, I suggest first understand the requirements in a broad manner and based on that you can arrive on what configuration needs to be done.
Also note that SAP standard configuration will already exist and you can copy most of the settings to your Company Code(s).
At the high level, Organization structure has to be created based on Business requirements like Company Codes, Credit Control Area, Controlling Area, Operating Concern, Sales Organization, Division, Plant etc.
Some of the specific configuration steps in FI are creation of Chart of Accounts, Document types, Field Status variant, Account Groups for Customer / Vendors etc. This is not exhaustive and you can look at IMG to identify the different config steps required for your client.
Thanks

Check in Document: Kpro Screen Help
HI All,
I just installed SAP content server 6.40. Everything is green and running in CSADMIN so I think it is working correctly. I tried to test it by checking in a document in CV01N, but I get stuck when I try to check it in. I click "Check in Original" and a screen pops up asking me to choose the Storage Category. My content server does not show up in the list. How do I get it to show up so I can check a document in?
Thank you,
ShelbyHi,
Create content strorage category in OACT. Once it is done, it will appear in CV01N while saving original.

Dear BW Experts,
We are going to do an SAP BW(3.5 Version) offline for backup (from existing server), hardware migration(new server), followed by domain name changes (IP Address Change). New Server will be brought up for Oracle / BW re-configurations to update the new domain name. Please help me to prepare the migration check list & some documents about BW migration(Not hardware level, Domain Name & IP Address) . Thanks.

RR.Hi,
Points to be kept, (not a version migration) Migrating from one system to other
1. Review the objects in both the systems and ensure they dont clash or overlap.
2. May be they had different source systems and you need to carefully look at all the source system dependent objects and re assign the source system.
3. Performing transports will be the one of the options for the move; in that case collect the objects in logical order starting with the info objects, data targets, info sources, update rules finally queries, roles, workbooks.
4. Review the master data and also the ODS to ensure the data dont overwrite; better to have a system identifier for the master data objects.
5. For the transaction data, approach will be to go with the EDW approach
6. For the same of reconciliation purposes, suggest to keep the Regional system, if exists, within the same region system separate and for reporting purposes, use infosets and multi cubes rather than loading data to the same data targets.

How to check A document library that has document publishing enabled and content approval
HI
1) how to check A document library that has document publishing enabled
2)A document library or a list that has content approval enabled
adilFor both question, check version settings of that library
>>1)Document Version History "Create
a version each time you edit a file in this document library?" should set to either create major versions or Create
major and minor (draft) versions.
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint-server-help/publish-or-unpublish-a-version-of-a-file-HA101862529.aspx
>>2)Content Approval "Require
content approval for submitted items?" should be set to Yes

1. step by step guide for solving the performance issues
or
2. check list for performanceOur book on BW performance tuning has a detailed explanation and recommendations regarding step by step process of how to do the performance tuning as you have desired.
Pl. refer to the following link to know about the book.

You will notice that the book has screen shots and detailed theory on aspects like indexes like B Tree Index or Bitmap Index to help you identify and improve perfromance of your BW system.
Thanking you in advance for sharing your feedback on the book and its "reference" value for your work.

Hi All,
Can any one help me to prepare QA Check List
Idea behind this is before submitting for review what are the things we need to check
Ex:
1) For unit testing what are the steps we need to chek
2) Before proposing transport requests what are the steps we need check to get transports success full.
Just i need subject line on what aspects we can prepare QA Check List.( Like mentioned above Unit testing, transpotation... etc
Thanks,
KishoreDear Kishore,
Some tips are mentioned below.
Unit testing:
Make sure that all the objects are already tested in the Development system by the developers.
Load all the relevant Masters before loading the transaction Data.
Take a snap shot data of production server and load it in QA server.
Prepare the test case documents based on the Production data
Transport Requests:
Break the complex transport requests into multiple simple requests. for example if you have a data
flow from Datasource to Multiprovider and reports. Break them into 2 or 3 requests to avoid memory
related issues.
Always import the dependent objects requests first to avoid import errors
Prepare a transport request log and mark the sequence of transport & dependencies
Analize each and every request log after import is completed.
Manually check whether all the objects are properly imported or not.
Hope this helps to prepare your QA related activities.
Regards,
Sreenivas.
