Check list for Upgrade
Hi,
Can some one provide me a check list of activities to be taken care of during the upgrade.
Thanks in advance.
Points assured for relevant answers.
Hi Sriramachandra,
a checklist of action you need to perform is :
- find SAP notes
- plan the upgrade
- prepare the upgrade
- upgrade the Sap system
- perform the follow-up activities
If you need further info let me know..
if it helpful reward points are appreciated

Check list for upgrade 4.7 to 6 in badi and webdynpro
hi
i need checklist for badi and webdynpro objects while upgrading form 4.7 to 6
thanksHi,
You need not to generate all roles again. Check the roles and transactions that are affected due to upgrade in transaction SU25. You can also compare them and correct them.

Check list for upgrading from 10g to 11g when there is a schema replication
Hi
We are looking to upgrade one of our production database from 10g to 11g
Currently this database has one schema that is replicated to 2 other databases using Oracle streams.
The replication is excluing DDLs and excluding several other application tables.
What should I do pre and post the upgrade ?
should we remove the stream configuration all together and rebuild it after the upgrade ?
I was hoping that we can first upgrade the two target databases to 11g and then the source database, without impacting our streams configuration at all
Is that possible ?
Is there any documentation on the subject ?
thanks in advance
OrnaPl post the OS versions of the source and target servers, along with exact (4-digit) versions of "10g" and "11g". I do not have any experience with streams, but the 11gR2 Upgrade Doc suggests that you upgrade the downstream target databases first before upgrading the source - http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E11882_01/server.112/e10819/upgrade.htm#CIAFJJFC

I need the check list for SOLMAN implementation
Hi gurus ,
i need the check list for solution manager implementation and what are the things to be discuss with the client , i am new to SOLMAN, i have to do this by the evening , any one can help me out
Cheers
Gopal.raoHi Gopal,
I am not sure if this thread of yours is in continuation of the other thread you have started which has been replied by two other Forum members.
The checklist depends upon which Scenario(s) of SolMan you are trying to implement.
- Implementation/ Upgrade of ERP systems
- Service Desk
- Change Request Monitoring
- Diagnostics
- Solution Monitoring (includes BPM/ Interface monitoring)
- Delivery of SAP Services (EWA, .....)
Unless you specify the scenario you are seeking information on, it is difficult for anyone to pose a satisfactory reply.
Best regards,

Hello everyone,
I am trying to put a document together to have a check list for integration testing. does anybody have anything like this that can share? Or any tips of what steps should be taken in consideration to complete integration testing?
Thank you for your help!Hi,
1) Integration testing validate end to end business scenarios including interfaces. Use converted data (if applicable and based on the data strategy). Can be executed in multiple cycles based on the implementation strategy
2) Scenario-based testing across process areas
May include multiple t-codes, or equivalent units in a string or sequence
3) Testing across modules
4) Primarily deals with cross-application chains that directly or potentially impact each other
5) Consists mostly of positive testing with selected negative testing
6) Executed in the Quality Assurance test environment
7) Integration Testing will be performed in multiple cycles
8) Next cycle should not begin if critical discrepancies have not been dispositioned. All Integration test discrepancies must be closed by the end of the last integration test cycle
9) A discrepancy can be dispositioned if:
Retest Passes or
Workaround approved or
Alternate resolution approved

Check list for Customization of FI module
SAP Guru's
Can any one guide me for Steps/check list for customisation of FI module
and how to document it.
SandeepHi,
In SAP, there are quite a few configuration steps which are required in each and every FI implementation. However, it will be different in each client, depending upon several factors like Business Processes / requirements of the client / what modules are being implemented / what interfaces are to be maintained etc.
Similarly, if FI module alone is implemented it will be simple, but if FI and CO are implemented, it will be complex. Hence, I suggest first understand the requirements in a broad manner and based on that you can arrive on what configuration needs to be done.
Also note that SAP standard configuration will already exist and you can copy most of the settings to your Company Code(s).
At the high level, Organization structure has to be created based on Business requirements like Company Codes, Credit Control Area, Controlling Area, Operating Concern, Sales Organization, Division, Plant etc.
Some of the specific configuration steps in FI are creation of Chart of Accounts, Document types, Field Status variant, Account Groups for Customer / Vendors etc. This is not exhaustive and you can look at IMG to identify the different config steps required for your client.
Thanks

Check list for creating a cost element?
Hi,
Who can provide a check list for creating a cost element?
Thank you.
Kind regards,
LindaHi,
Cost Elements are broadly of two categories - Primary and Secondary cost elements.
In case of primary cost element a GL Account should have been created and in case of secondary cost no corresponding GL account should exist. Secondary Cost Elements are used only in Controlling Module. The transaction codes are:
KA01 - Create Primary Cost Element.
KA06 - Create Secondary Cost Element.
KA02 - Change Cost Element
KA03 - Display Cost Element
KA04 - Delete Cost Element
KA05 - Display Changes
Once transaction data is posted Cost Element cannot be deleted.
Another point in Cost Elements is defining the Cost Element category. Cost Element category determines which Cost Element category can be used for which Business Purpose. For example cost element category 1 is used for primary costs and 11 is used for revenues.
In the default account assignment tab, we can define a cost center / internal order and always the postings for that cost element will be posted to that cost object.
Thanks

Check List for closing posting period
Hi everyone,
What should be the complete check list (activity to be done) before closing the posting period in MMHi,
In fact when ever you complete the month you have to close the period for the previous month. This you can do at the T.code MMPV.
1)before closing the period check wheather the Back posting is allowed at SPRO-logistics general -material master-basic settings-company code settings for the financial year.
2)There will be peiod indicatotors. You have to check them.
3)unless and untill you dont close the period your inventory management settings will not allow you to furthur stating a warning message that 'posting period is in previous month'.
