I guess you have a problem with SOPDIS (the dual-level planning of product group hierarchies)...

Mass Processing pop up in BI 7.0
Dear Experts,
I am getting popup window "mass processing" while doing status not ok(RED) for some delta loads in monitor screen(Before going for Repeat delta)
Here it is asking for :
" 2 Infoproviders still have to be checked ?
Interactive or Automatic (without asking for confirmation)?
Which option i need to select ? What is Interactive & Automatic ? I haven't seen this popup earlier. What could be the reason for this popup screen ? Please suggest how to proceed in this case .
Thanks & Regards,
Pcrao.Hi,
One option I thought of, but never applied in practice. Create an excel with all the field related information in the structure of table,
RSDIOBJ Directory of all InfoObjects
RSDCHABAS Basic Characteristics (for Characteristics,Time Characteristics, and Units)
*RSKYF Key Figures
RSDTIM Time Characteristics
RSDUNI Units*
And upload this table with the flat using function module etc.
But then you would need to update below tables to with relevant details.
RSDIOBJT Texts of InfoObjects
RSDIOBJ Directory of all InfoObjects
RSDIOBJT Texts of InfoObjects
RSDATRNAV Navigation Attributes
RSDATRNAVT Navigation Attributes
RSDBCHATR Master Data Attributes
RSDCHABAS Basic Characteristics (for Characteristics,Time Characteristics, and Units)
RSDCHA Characteristics Catalog
RSDDPA Data Package Characteristic
RSDIOBJCMP Dependencies of InfoObjects
RSKYF Key Figures
RSDTIM Time Characteristics
RSDUNI Units

Problem in COHV with mass processing function Release.
Hello,Guru's
I have problem in COHV with mass processing function Release.
even after execution of COHV the status of Orders remains unchanged.i.e. remain Created instead of Release
My user require all Orders should release in mass process
with material availability Check .
and OPJK setting is
material availability
Check availability during order release=X
Release material = 1(User decides on release if parts are missing)> with material availability Check .
> and OPJK setting is
> material availability
> Check availability during order release=X
> Release material = 1(User decides on release if parts are missing)
Hi,
With these two settings in OPJK, there will not be any impact on COHV.
Any dates, date ranges you are inputing in the COHV.
Try with Manually inputing some of the Orders in COHV and in the Foreground you try.
Afterwards, try with Some selected Orders in the Background..
You may get the clue for the problem..

Mass Processing of Planned orders
Hi all,
We can do mass availability check for the planned orders and we can firm the planned orders for which the materials are available through COHV but can we have a output log after the mass processing so that we can see the list of planned orders got firmed and for any other messages.
Regards
KumarDear,
In COHV or COMAC.
in mass processing gtab page
select function = material availability check, execute it.
In selection tab page
Plant
Order type
System status - MSPT.
Or
Start the report PPCOXPR1 with the T.code SE38
Then try with Tcode CO24..

Hi,
I am able create sale plan through MC87 transaction by selecting the create sale plan through forecasting, when total consumption values are maintained in the material. But I want this to be done by MASS processing function. In other words I want to up date key figure sales in S076 table.
There is one tcode MPBT which is to create total forecast in background. But this is happening only when unplanned consumption values are maintained in material. Is this behaviour is correct?
Can u detail the configuration settings required for mass processing of SOP.
Through help I came to now that mass processing can be done for forecasting. Is this forecasting and creating sales plan are same. Kindly brief.
Thanks & Regards,
N. Laxmanyou can refer the below link:
configuration steps for SOP:
1)Set parameter for Info structure and Key figure
2)Maintain Transfer Profile
3)Define Activity
4)Define Key figure assignment
5)Define copy profile.
procedure of Standard SOP:
1. Create Plan in inactive version
2. Disaggregate product group plan & Check capacity
3. Version Management
4. Transfer Product group to planning
procedure of Flexible Planning:
1.Create Plan in inactive version
2.Convert Plan in to Active Version
3.Transfer to Demand management
Master Data in SOP:
1.Information Structure
2.Planning Type
3.Planning Hierarchy
4.Product Group
5.Resource
6.Rough cut planning profile
It's very helpful link & std procedures for SOP.
SOP steps have 3 classifications
1) STD SOP for Material
2) STD SOP for Product Group
3) Flexible Planning
A) Now Let we take STD SOP for Material
This will takes place in Material and Plant level
so the charateristics will be Material and Plant
The key figures are Sales,Production Qty,Targer stock level,.......etc
Steps
1) Create Planning for material MC87
2) Copy to Active Version MC78
3) Transfer to Demand Mangement MC74
B) STD sop for Product Group
Here also the Characteristics are same material->product group
You have to maintain master data Product group
steps:
1) Create Product Group MC84
2) Create Plan for Product Group MC81
3) Disaggregate Product Group Plan MC76
4) Copy to active version MC78
5) Transfer to Demand Management mc75 for Pg or mc74 for material
C) FLEIXIBLE PLANNING
Here you can able to Define your own characteristics and Key figures
Char like Sales org,Dis chann, Div,......
Key figures like stock,invoice qty,....
steps
1) Create Info structute MC21
2) Maintain Planning Parametes MC7F
3) Create Planning Type MC8A
4) Create Flexible Planning MC93
5) Copy to active version MC8V
6) Transfer to Demand managemet
5) Create Std SOP Planning -MC
6) Transfer to DM from change mode of Flex Plann with active version MC94
if you want use the flexible planning info like SIS in std sop after the 4th step of above it will be like
5) MC87 std sop there Sales data from SIS it will ask for info str and version then you can get it automatically then the std steps like
6) Copy to Active Version MC78
7) Transfer to Demand Mangement MC74
Pls let me know any clarifications. -

Mass processing of FBRA (Reverse clearing docs). Is this possible?.
At present it does not seem to be possible to mass process the reverse clearing documents, although it feels like it should be possible. Has anyone come across or know of an enhancement that may allow this to happen?
JasThanks for that.
Of course you did not mean CATT as that's a testing tool and not a loading tool. CATT has restrictions on the number of records that can be loaded, from what I recall.
However, there are a number consultants here that believe that there is something available and your answer has just sent them all scurrying to OSS to check.

Mass processing of indexes cancelled
Hi,
After a system refresh there were a number of missing secondary indexes (tcode DB02).
I have selected them all for mass processing, and then stared to process them with tcode SE14 > DB Requests > Mass processing.
During this mass processing the system has been restarted and the job TBATG-20100723 failed
joblog:
Job started
Step 001 started (program RADBAT01, variant &0000000000000, user ID myuser)
DB log: TBATG-20100723
Job cancelled due to system shutdown
Now in SE14 > DB Requests > Mass processing the job status of the remaining indexes is "cancelled".
Is there anyway to restart this process?
Kind regards,
NicolasHello,
The job has status cancelled.
I've done a check status but this didn't change anything in DB02
Kind regards,

Setting in Mass processing activity
Hello Forecasting Experts,
There are two parameter settings while creating an Forecasting mass processing activity -
1. Always use job profile
2. Generate profile and assign it
Can someone tell me what is the effect of using each above setting? Please give some recommendation as to which one has to be used when?
Thanks in advance.
KellyHi Kelly,
These are not one or the other. You can have none of the options checked and things can run fine.
'Always Use Job Profile' option means system will use the forecast profile specified in the activity, regardless of what forecast profile assignments the demand planners may have made. This can be problematic. If the forecast profile in the activity is seasonal and it processes a CVC that should really have a constant model, the system may interpret noise as seasonality and give you what it thinks the seasonality is. This is a recipe for higher forecast error.
'Generate profile and assign it' options instructs the system to create a new profile with a GUID and assign it. Strategy 56 was made for this... Seems like it would take longer to process your forecast this way.
'Generate new profile when errors' option will only generate a new forecast profile and assign it when the system encounters an error during normal calculation. Example of this kind of error is when the model is Seasonal but you have some periods with blank history mixed in there -- the system can't calculate a seasonal index on zero history. In this situation the system would generate a profile with a GUID and assign it. The good news is that these are then easy to find in trxn /SAPAPO/MSDP_FCST2 since they have a GUID. You can then have a demand planner go back to the CVC and tune the model properly.
(Warning! Business Process advice ahead!! Proceed with extreme caution!!!)
One strategy with these options is: Use the 'Generate profile and assign it' when you're first getting underway at go-live. Let the system do the heavy number crunching the first few times. Then have your demand planners tune the models for A and B products/families. When they've had a fair amount of time to get all of those done, delete all GUID profile assignments (there's a button for this in trxn /SAPAPO/MSDP_FCST2 called 'Delete Generated Profiles'). So now, all actively tuned models (A & B products) have a demand-planner-assigned profile and all C products have no profile assignment. During the forecast calculation run, A & B products will follow their assigned forecast profiles and all C products will use the profile specified in the activity. In this strategy, none of the options in the activity are selected.
Hope this helps!

Using mass processing - transaction wtymp_a
Hi all,
I am trying to use the mass processing tool of WTY and I have some problems
I have created an action, when operating the action from transaction WTY it works fine but with the mass processing tool the action produce a dump and errors.
While debuging both transactions i have found that the action is called from different programs and there different checks made by sap on the data.
does any one have any idea?
BR,
Naama.Hi Naama,
true, the call points are different. The main difference is that you have the UI available in transaction WTY. While processing in WTYMP you do not have the UI. Thus you need to make sure that you do not send any popups (can be i-messages, too) during mass processing.
Additionally it might be that your action does not correctly select the version it needs to work with.
Best regards

Hi All,
I have a process Mass Pay Change which is getting displayed in both iviews -
'Start Process for an Employee' and 'Start Process for Multiple Employees'.
It should always appear in 'Start Process for Multiple Employees'.
It would be great if you could let me know the configuration or any SAP note to overcome this issue.
Thanks,
RadhikaHello Radhika,
What SP level is EA-HRGXX on your system.
Are you using SAP HR Renewal 1.0 i.e. FPM based forms?
What is the start application that you are using(in SE80)?
As per note 1917919 - Configuring a FPM process of mass type leads to an error mass process is not supported with the new start application. Check on the latest with SAP if you are planning to use it.
For the older application - usually a process marked as type M (i.e Mass start) would appear in Start process for multiple employees.
Hope this helps.
With regards,
Sahir. -
Mass Processing for Forecast SOP
Hi Experts,
I have one requirement, I have to run Mass Processing for Forecast SOP in background Job based on consumption values updated in Material Master.
I have followed all instruction give for doing this process (SAP SOP Mass Processing - SAPs'WORD - We SAP For Your Cause) but could not achieve.
Can any one help to run in background job for Mass Processing for Forecast SOP.
Thanks in Advance
V.SundeepHello,
Refer KBA 1778072 - Error message MA 653 when running mass processing forecast (program RMCP6BIN)
Internal condition NOT IPRWA-VGVON IS INITIAL not fulfilled
Internal condition NOT IPRWA-VGBIS IS INITIAL not fulfilled
Forecast/historical period cannot be calculated MA 653
Check your planning type which is used for your batch job. The number of historical periods in planning type (transaction MC8B) must not be smaller than the number of historical periods in forecast profile (transaction MC96). If the number of forecast period is maintained in the forecast profile (transaction MC96) the number of future period in the planning type must not be smaller than the number of forecast period in the forecast profile.
A not appropriate entry in SOP User Settings (transaction MC79) in Number of periods in the planning horizon can have an effect on this also.

Starting Mass Processing
Mass processing can be started in the following ways:
Triggering the execution of a function
The execution of a function can be triggered as follows:
Execute function immediately
The functions are executed directly after mass processing has been triggered. This can take a long time for functions that require a lot of system resources. However, you can immediately check whether the function was successfully executed.
Execute function with dialog transaction
Further processing is controlled by a dialog that is specific to the function. This option is available for the following functions: Confirmation, Picking, Log display.
Create a function request (refer to Processing Requests)
First, requests are created without any further checks. The requests are created very quickly. Mass processing is actually executed with the program COWORKDISPATCH. As a result, it is delayed until the next time the program starts. You can decouple the function in terms of time, so that the main work takes place at night, for example. The end users create requests and system administration takes care of their execution.
Execute function in the background
First, requests are created without any further checks. Then a background process is started, which processes these requests immediately. Scheduling a background job does not create any administrative work and reduces the workload for the dialog.
Parallel Processing
For parallel processing, you define server groups for mass processing (COWORK-DIALOG, COWORK-BATCH). This enables you to speed up the execution of processing.
Mass processing online/ in the background.
You can either execute mass processing online or you can schedule it in a background job (no online steps are possible).
Application Toolbar with Mass Processing Functions
You can define that an application toolbar, with selected mass processing functions, is displayed in the list of the selected objects. You can use this application toolbar to execute the functions in the dialog.
For more information refer to Display Application Toolbar with Mass Processing Functions.
Test Run
You can decide whether changes caused by a mass processing function are executed in the form of a test run only. Error messages that may occur are collected. No changes are updated to the database.
You can use the test run for these functions:
Close
Set/delete user status
Release
Costing
Generate capacity requirements
Technically complete
Scheduling
WM material staging
To test a function, select the option Test function without changes to data on the Mass processing tab page.
Log
Log records are written and saved as a function is being executed. They provide information about the execution of a mass processing function. If no log record exists, the function was executed without any problems. The log records are assigned to the order or the collective order

HCM P&F - Mass processes Fast Data Entry Error
Hi guys,
I have a new requirement to do a new mass process to save some IT data on several employees without Workflow related. First of all I have tried to understand how standard is working and I have checked one of mass process that system provides, in my case HR_PA_XX_MSP_ADDR_CHANGE process.
Unfortunately, when I execute start application ASR_MASS_START_PROCESS (configuration ASR_MASS_PROCESS_CONF) and select my process and more than one employee I'm getting a dump. This issue is not happening if just select one employee.
I'm going to attach some screenshots to clarify steps that I'm following.
Anyone has faced similar issues? It seems is a standard problem and I want to get some thoughts of you!
RegardsSorry, I don't get you.
When selecting employees there is no issue there, my issue is when I save the data once I have selected more than one employee.
