Check Number Confirmation (Payment Wizard) Shows Ampersands (&) in B1 2007

Hi,
I just upgraded to B1 2007 and noticed in the Payment Wizard on the Check Number Confirmation dialog that the Change Print Status to drop down button shows the following options:
&Confirmed
D&amaged
&Not Printed
&Unconfirmed
I assume these should have been hotkeys of 'c', 'a', 'n' and 'u' respectively but are not showing as such.  Is there any way to fix this?
Thanks,
David

Hi,
I would suggest you to please check this on the latest patch also.
In case the issue is still there it is better to  log a message for SAP.

  • Check number confirmation window does not appear and checks become confirmed automatically

We have updated to SAP 9.10.105 PL 00,
and we have two issues with check printing, first when we print check we do not receive a confirmation window and all of the checks show as being confirmed. as soon as be print checks in the payment wizard after the checks have printed we than get an error message.
"no matching records found 'checks for payment' (OCHO) (ODBC 2028) [message 131-183]
the second problem is if I set over flow to blank paper, it will only print one check at a time, and i still do not receive a confirmation window.
I am not sure if the original patch for 8.8 was left out of the 9.1 release.

Thanks for this, I found this after posting a message with SAP Support.  Just a heads up, they consider it as 'Consulting' function not an 'Application Error' so they will not be a fix.  We'll just need to know to make sure users know to un-check this Box.
SAP Note: 0001422688 - Print on Blank Paper checkbox on Checks for Payment

  • Check number on payment document number

    Hi,
    I made vendor payment through F-53. Document number generate: 1700000043 & 1700000044
Now i printed check through FBZ5 and drew a manual check through FCH5 for each document mentioned above.
Now i went to FB03 and view the above two documents. But i am unable to see the check number in 'assignment field' in payment document neither in print preview nor in entry view.
Let me know in which field i can see check number in payment document. Also let me know if i want to do any change in layout of document or will it be developement ?

    HI Deepak,
When you issue a check manually, then you have to update the check manually in the SAP System.
Goto FCH5, give your clearing document number and then give the check number.
Now the payment is lindked to a check in the SAP System.
Now if you goto FB03 and display the clearing document,  From the menu select Environment==>Check Information, now you will be able to see the check number and other details.
    Hope this helps you....

Before posting this question i let u know that im new to this B1.

I given the cheque number in the 'next cheque numb column'  in the house bank accnt, but its not taking and its not display the cheque number and the payment is getting executed.
so, how can i get the cheque number too after the payment is succesfully executed.
    Thank you,
    Gokul.

    Hi,
You can refer to Note No. : [903135|https://websmp130.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1odSZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=903135] your issue.
Relevant portion from the Note for your reference :
All the check numbers will automatically be entered as '0', i.e. the number is not assigned based on the "Next Check Number" field in the House Bank accounts definitions. The check will be saved with the number  '0' as long as it is not printed. The check will become valid just after printing.

  • Check number in payment document

    Frnds
    I have below situation,
when we pay vendor or customer by check, it issue check with specific check number, and when open the payment document number, there will be a vendor account and the bank account line item. and when i double click on the bank account line item , it show the payment posting date on the assignment field.
one of my user asked me if we can pull Check number instead of the posting date in the assignment field.
so please let me know if we can pull the check number on the assignment filed of the bank line item?
    Thanks

    Hi,
Value in the Assignment Filed will be displayed based sort key what we maintained in GL Master Data.
If you want to view the Check NN details then you can find in Table PAYR: Payment Medium File.
You can get these Check related fileds in FBL1N or FBL5N screen after adding this filed in Special Fileds, from Menu bar of  Vendor/Customer Line Display screen (FBL1N or FBL5N)
    Thanks

  • FCHN-how to change check number for payment document?

    Hi,
In Check register FCHN, it show incorrect check number link to my payment document.
How to correct this payment document to correct check number? I just want this check register reflect correct check number.
    Thanks

    Both,
i will give you a scenario
Payment document 12345   check is 3333
Payment document 67891   check is 2222
You can swap these to when you feel the check number 3333 has to go to the doc no 67891
NOTE:- When you are swaping, please be aware that either you are swaping the check created wrongly for 2 documents as above stated.
    or
You are going to assign a new Check number through FCH5.
Please simulate a scenarion in QAS

When I access the 'Payment Means' for a particular Outgoing Payment, the check number column displays '0'...even though I created  a manual check via 'Checks for Payment'.

  • Viewing check number in payment document.

    Hi,
I have made an outgoing payments through F-53. Two document numbers: 1800000012 & 1800000013 were generated Then i issued a check through FBZ5 & FCH5 respectively. Now i went into FB03 & displayed both above mentioned document numbers. But i am unable to view the check number. How it can be possible to view check number in document. I want to view check number without using TCode: FCHU (i.e. assigning check number to document number)

But while creating a check in FCH5, i have to manually feed the house bank and account id. Actually it should be default from bank we credited at the time of making payment.
I need to have this control because user mein credit other account & house bank & account id may be selected for other bank.

  • Suppliers account number in Payment Wizard

There needs to be a way to bring through the BP field for additional identifier into the payment wizard. Where a file is created to send to the bank, the suppliers account code is required to be passed through. This is currently not available in the output files, so a UDF is required to be created to record the data, where there is already a field which serves the purpose.
A recent enhancement now allows the Reference numbers of the documents, but a code which is at BP level is most important to be available for this purpose

    Hi Carol,
    Please check SAP Note 965247.
    Hope it is helpful.

  • Check number OverFlowing

    Hi Guys,
I am facing some problem while doing check printing .
We are printing Checks thru Check Printing from Checks for Payment window and we are using check stock and we are entering the check number manuallly  while adding payments.
so when we print the check the Next Check number  Field in House Bank accounts is changing and while taking a print the next check number is printed instead of the manually enetered check number.
    For ur info.
I have set the paper type as OverFlow Prenumber  Check Stock in (Set up-Banking-House Bank Accounts)
In Print Preferences window i have set (Print on Check Stock - Over Flow Check Stock )
Is there any fault in defining all the above  and   if yes pls tell me how to over come this.
    Regards,
    Vamsi

    Hi Vamsi,
Unless you are actually printing a manual check, you don't want to enter the check number as it will be assigned when you go to print; that it why the next check number appears when you go to print. If your check stubs do run onto another page, do as Gordon mentions - change the setting so next page is blank page instead of check stock.
    To print your checks:
    1.   In Outgoing Payment/Checks for Payment, process payment and leave check number blank and don't select 'manual'.
    2.   When you go to print, check under House Bank Account setup that the check number is correct.
    3.   Print the check from either Check for Payment or Document Printing.
    4.  The window should confirm the first check number that will be used. If incorrect, cancel/don't proceed and fix in House Bank Account setup.
    5.  Once the check(s) print, verify the checks/numbers with the Check Number Confirmation window and select the applicable print status (i.e. 'confirmed', etc.). If the check stock numbers were not in order, you can update the check number in this window so the right number is linked to the applicable outgoing payment transaction.
If you go back to the Checks for Payment window, you will see the check number has been assigned to the payment (lower left field). If there is no check number and 'manual' is not selected, this means it has not been printed/confirmed.

  • Service Tax On Down Payment and Tax Payment Wizard

    Hi All,
We would like to make a down payment and apply service tax to it.
Once i create a AP Down payment invoice with the service tax, make an outgoing payment against it, create AP Invoice and adjust the down payment, now after following this procedure, when i run the tax payment wizard, the service credit available becomes zero.
It works well in case of partial payment but not 100% advance.  Has anyone faced this issue??
    How can this be resolved?
    Thanks,
    Joseph

    Hi Rahul,
Exactly! The system doesnt consider the tax on DP when we check through Tax Payment Wizard.
I guess this is a missing functionality? What do you think? Because there may be a chance that the service tax may get deducted at down payment! What is your take on this?
Looking for valuable responses from other experts too!
    Thanks,
    Joseph
