Check SAP note in Developement system

Hi
There is one note 1318938 regarding service tax program. I want to know of that note is implemented in our SAP system. Let me know how to check if it implemented or not.
In TCode SNOTE, i did not find path where i can check if above note is applied or not.

Hi,
The easiest way is to go to SNOTE, Menu - Go to - Download SAP note. Download the note, if the status will be 'to be implemented' then it's still relevant, if it will be 'grey' - then it's already in the system.

Uploading SAP not from the system

I have downloaded the SAP note 1045888 using a download manager.
Now I need to upload it into SAP.
In transaction SNOTE I used the option Goto-->Upload SAP note.
But the note is not getting uploaded.(I can not view it in the list).
I tried to upload other notes, they were getting uploaded.
Can any one tell me what the problem might be.

First you need to down load the note to your system and then upload it .
Execute the transaction SNOTE in the SAP system
- In the menu..Goto -> Download SAP Note (if connected to marketplace)
otherwise Goto->Upload SAP Note.
If downloading from marketplace then specify the note number in the screen and continue (execute)
else if uploading select the file from the local system and upload (browse)
- Once that is done then you can see the note on the screen. You will be able to view the note number on the screen
- Select that particular note number and click on the execute button to Implement the SNOTE into the system.

Checking SAP notes on Solution Manager

Hi...
I need to get a report with all the SAP notes applied in my ERP environment.
If I use tx code snote, on ERP, I can find this, but I need something on Solution Manager, like a report...
What can I do?!

If you have already configured Diagnostics,(Solution manager Diagnostics - SMD and its a must for this activity), call Txn-> Solman_workcenter -> Root cause Analysis-> End to End Analysis->Select your system <SID>-> Change Analysis-> Select the Time Frame->goto notes ->Jump in-> to change Reporting ->Export the Result(if needed).
Or
Under RCA- Call system Analysis -> Change Reporting -> Select the instance and Get the suitable Extractor to get this :).

PS: If you have not configured Diagostics yet, Do configure it in first place, other wise, you don't have an option in solman and had to ge the individual reports from remote/satellite systems :(.

SAP Note: 130906 DEV System refresh

I want to refresh our DEV server with PRD data. I have seen note 130906. But i'm unable to understand the commands given for R3trans in this note. Like it says create a control file...now how do i create this control file. I guess this process is not clearly defined in htis note. Can some one give me the details of this activity .Any help will be much apprecited.

I think you are not in 'SAP Basis' but in some functional module. Better to ask your SAP Basis team to carry out the procedure mentioned in the SAP Note 130906.
Even if you want to try it out, you should have access to OS level for DEV. Control file creation and all other steps are to be performed at OS level using sidadm user. Try to understand the concept more via SAP Note Note 1942 - How does R3trans work?

Error message getting displayed in testing system not in development system

Hi All,
I am working on BW 3.5 BEx Query Designer.
I have transported my queries to quality system twice as there were few changes in the variables.
now after the second transports, when I execute the queries in quality system I am getting one error message at the top of report output stating "variable name" does not exist.
I am not able to trace out why the error message is getting displayed while query is working fine in quality system.
If it is due to some variable that has been removed or deleted....will it impact on production move?
how to resolve this problem?
Please provide me some inputs.

Once again Create transport request in RSA1 ans while creating it you need to collect the all the query element.
Transport it again into quality and do the testing as per the business requirment
It would help to resolve the issue

I am new in security, now I have to create one fi ,sd, mm,pp, abap users in my development server (ecc 6.0 in sql server). I need standard roles for there users.

in tcode PFCG you can drop down the list of available roles as per your requirement and assign them to the users. you have to give the appropriate authorizations. In case you can find the role as per your requirement, then you have to create your own roles and assign them to the users.

1KEJ : Runtime Error (SAP note 725478)

Hello All
When I run 1KEJ in my test system it gives a run time error both in forground and background mode (it gets cancelled).
I have done settlement for only 1 Order and WIP is also there for only 1 Order.
Since I am running 1KEJ for first time I am selecting 'Create Opening balance' : Sap says it takes some time to update opening balance as it has to read history. But in my case there is no history since there is only 1 WIP posting in system.
I checked SAP note 725478 and it says :
If you have large datasets for material stocks and WIP stocks you can no
longer use Transactions 1KEH and 1KEJ. Instead you should use the online
transfer. During this process, the material accounts and WIP accounts are
entered into Transaction 3KEH. This should have no considerable effect on
the online performance.
If you want to start the transfer of balance sheet accounts into Profit
Center Accounting and to set up the opening balances you can neither use
Transactions 1KEH and 1KEJ. In this case, create the opening balances using
single entry, manual postings in PCA (depending on your release use
Transaction 1KEL or 9KE0). If you want to create the opening balances with
batch input for the manual PCA document entry, due to the large quantity of
accounts, use Transaction 1KEL, regardless of your release. Transaction
9KE0 does not support batch input.
Question from my side :
I am can surely link Material and WIP accouns in 3KEH. But How do you create opening balance of WIP from 9KE0 ? Is there something special you need to do ?
Has anyone handled this situation ?

But if 3KEH will update WIP (for example) on real time I am not sure why we need 9KE0 to have a opening balance.
If i goto 9KE0 is it just the date (first day of the go live month) which will mean opening balance.?? i.e from legacy system if any.
Is it better option to update 3KEH with Stock accounts , rather using 1KEH

Download issue with SAP Note

Hi,
While tryign to download the SAP Note "1300023", the system gave a message "System setting does not allow changes to be made to object NOTE 0001300023".
On further checking the details we got the details "If you want to edit the object NOTE 0001300023 in this SAP System, have your system administator set the SAP System to "modifiable" for this object."
But when we checked SAP Market place we came across a SAP note "0000683678 System setting does not allow changes to Z objects", which seems to be resolution to our problem of downloading the note.
Can some one please provide some input on how the issue "System setting does not allow changes to be made to object NOTE 0001300023", can be resolved.
So, do we need to:
1. Implement the SAP Note 0000683678 before implementing 1300023 OR
2. Change some setting in Transport Organizer tools (Transaction SE03) >>>Administration node >>> Set system change option.

Regarding SAP Note implementation

Hello Friends,
my BW system was in SP4 so there were some NOTEs which were require to be implemented and related to SP5. so I had implemented those Notes and collected in TR, TR was in test system and now we are in SP05 so we have deleted the TR from test system buffer coz these NOTEs are not required now. now my doubt is as I had applied NOTE in development system so do i need to reset it or not, coz if I reset it then whatever the code changes done by NOTE will be removed. It may delete the code which might come with SP05(I mean, SP05 should have all the changes which we have applied when we r in SP04). so do i need to reset the NOTE or just leave it.

You can leave it there and then reset to orignal when new SP is implemented.

SAP Note de-implementation process

I just want to know the process of de-implementing an SAP Note, which might have several dependent SAP Notes installed as a pre-requisite. What I mean is; Say If i implement an SAP Note A, before system implements the SAP Note A it will load SAP Note B as a pre-requisite. How can we de-implement all of them successfully ?

I found the following extract in SDN wiki:
It may happen that you try to de-implement an SAP note via T-cd:SNOTE > u201CSAP Noteu201D > u201CReset SAP Note Implementationu201D, but finally you find that it does not work or fails with error.
It is not recommended to de-implement any SAP note which has been already implemented completely. The reason is that even you de-implemented it now, the corrections would be implemented sooner or later again by corresponding support package implementation in the future.
If you want to de-implement any SAP note, please donu2019t do it yourself. Please contact SAP support. SAP will judge whether it is really necessary to de-implement the SAP note or not, and de-implement it for you in necessary.
SAP is developing new tool to replace Note Assistant. De-implementation function is not to be integrated into this new tool, which means that it will be impossible to de-implement any already-implemented SAP note using the new tool.

Go to Tr Code.<b>SNote</b>
1. Check the OSS no whether already been downloaded or not,
2. if not download it
3. it will be in the New tree.
4. FInd your note and double click on the same. then Pdf will open
5. Read it properly check whether it can be implemented it or cn not be implemented
6. If can be implemented then implemetnte the note and create a request for the same.
7. once implemented then go to consistant portion then change the status of the Notes for this you need to go to the SAP Note and change the note processing status to completed.

Note</b> : Soms times the SAP tells to download the files from the Service.sap.com and for some notes u need to create a field or new objects. For this u need to get the Access key from ur team and change the same.
Lastly go inside the report and check whether the changes have been done or not.
sometimes changes may not be there. this will lead to problem

Issue with SAP Note Implementation 977220

Hi ALL,
             I am trying to implement the SAP Note: 977220 for the Report RFIDPL06 (FI Localization for the Country Poland).
While trying to implement the SAP Note: 977220, the system (version 4.6 C) successfully implements (Green Traffic Light) the following SAP Notes: 975358, 990307 & 1016797 as a pre-requisite. However after that when the system is trying to implement the SAP Note: 977220; it's showing the yellow traffic light because it can't find the followings:
1. Context Block (Not Found)
    IF documents-egrkz = '9' OR documents-egrkz = '2'
      IF documents-ktosl = 'ESE'.
        doc_sum-tax = '0'.
        APPEND doc_sum. "943278
      ENDIF.
2. Delete Block (Not Found)
      COLLECT doc_sum. "943278
What can I do to resolve the issue ?? Any help will be highly appreciated!!

How to callback an SAP note
