Check text message status

I have multiple lines and it says there are 0 messages.
Do I have to select the line I want to check somehow?

I have had a very similar problem as the previous user. My text message usage is not being reported accurately at all...it is dramatically lower and inconsistent. I thought maybe they weren't being reported if something was M2M and wouldn't affect my bill but it is not my bill I am concerned about anyway. My phone is for work and I need to be able to show all forms and frequency of communication with clients, including dates and times that we have texted. I am literally sending and receiving dozens of texts that aren't showing up in my View Messaging Details listing, nor even on the final bill. In addition, it seems as if the texts also go unreported if they are deleted. As recently as two or three months ago, I used to be able to see texts sent/received on my View Messaging Details within minutes of the communication. Why did this change?
I realize Verizon has had a lot of customers complain that their text message use is hurting their data use, especially if they have an iPhone 5 (which I do too), and so perhaps this is a glitch on Verizon's part in an attempt to fix that other situation. But having a lack of usage reporting is actually very harmful in my case.
Please fix this asap!

    The answer to your first problem-the app sometimes crashes if you tap the hyperlink to the messages or mail app when you recieve a notification.  i know this happens to me all the time when using my iphone 4s.  the solution is to launch the app after you have tried tapping the notification and it crashes. 
    second problem-what is the name of the application you are trying to delete.  if it is a native apple app, such as passbook, maps, calculator, or photos, you will not be able to delete from the home screen unfortunetaly.

  • Check text message phone numbers on website

    I received a text that was promptly deleted from my handset before I can read it (due to software problems on my phone that I've already looked into). I know it's impossible to discover the content of that text message, but I would like to know who sent it. There seems to be a lot of mentions around the internet and indeed, even in these message boards that you can go to Usage and look up text records and see when you received a text and from what phone number, but it appears the website interface has changed since then, and the old directions no longer apply. Is it still possible to look this information up, and if so how?

    Log into My Verizon
    locate this section of the page
    Then scroll down and locate this section
    From there you should see a list of all your texts received and sent.  Keep in mind it may take a few for recent ones to show up if you don't see it.

  • 8900 firmware update: Text message status lost

    After the most recent device firmware update (late December), outgoing and incoming text messages are not distinguished. They're all treated as incoming and their icons reflects that. That means the appropriate options (in particular, Forward) are not available. Messages that appear under View Saved Messages are fine, and the Forward option comes up.

    This is how the text messages are now formatted.  You can scroll your cursor up onto a message and then hit the menu key and selct "Forward" or "forward as" etc.

  • Text message report - unsuccessful

    I sent a text message with a photo and noticed an envelope icon and a black circle with an i in it next to the the message.  I did a long click and a list of message options was brought up.  I checked view report and status was listed as unsuccessful.  What does this mean?  I have never received these icons before. 
    Does this mean my messages are being blocked.  It was sent to an AT&T phone.

    The message may have not been able to be delivered due to the message size, or depending on what type of phone it was being sent to.  Some devices cannot use enhanced messaging.  Additionally, it may have been the network or area you were in at the time, which may have caused a delay in the switch.  Therefore, at the time you checked the message status, it was unsuccessful.  Have you been able to since, send that message?  Have you had this issue sending to any other phone at any other time, since this incident?  If so, you may try power cycling your device and retry.

  • TS2755 Good morning I have a question about my IPhone4 and text messaging screen.

    My touch screen is frozen( locked up) when it comes to trying to scroll up and down to check text messages and to delete. I cannot access them at all. The rest of the phone and features are operating and functioning properly. Just issues with the text messaging option. Any suggestions?

    If Messages is unresponsive, first force close the application using this method:
    Double-click the Home button.
    Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
    Swipe the app's preview up to close it.

    You cannot update iPhone 4 to IOS 8.1.2, the highest you can update is IOS 7.1.2.
    Unless you've iPhone 4S (looks similar to iPhone 4)

    The ability to see and send calendar invites is a function of the calendar you are subscribing to and who owns it. We need more information, like what calendar are you subscribing to? MS Exchange? Google? Mobile Me?

  • Iphone 4s-when wifi is off and I am away from my home connection can I receive and send texts and text messages?  I want to keep my wifi off to limit data (email etc) to when I want to check it.  Cellular is roaming"voice only" it says.Can I get texts?

    When my wifi is off and I'm away from my home connection - it shows wifi off (unless I turn it on to check my email etc.) - and in the settings cellular it shows "voice only". Will I be able to receive and send texts in those settings?  Or check voicemail.  I had wanted to keep my email from coming in all the time and only want to check it periodically - so I turn ON my wifi when I want to check my email.  But when my wifi was off away from home- I hadn't seemed to be getting my texts.  So- do I need to keep wifi roaming connected when away from home to receive and send my texts in real time.  (which is what I want) or am I still able to send and receive texts with my wifi off when I'm away from home.  (When I'm home I am connected to my home data plan automatically through wifi and I get texts when I'm home - but I'm thinking I'm not getting texts in real time - is it because my wifi is off when I'm away from home?  My cellular shows voice only when my wifi is off away from home.  Am I doing it right to receive and send texts away from home?  Or do I need to open up the wifi in order to receive and send text messages.  I know that I would need to turn on wifi roaming - which will use data - for email checking or sending - as well as to use browsing apps and now I'm guessing to receive voice messages I may have missed?  So do I need wifi on to receive texts too?  Thank you - GregorySC

    In order to send and receive SMS or MMS messages, you will need to have an active cellular data or Wi-Fi connection.
    You will need these to send and receive iMessages:
    An iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
    iOS 5.0 or later
    A cellular data connection or a Wi-Fi connection
    A phone number or Apple ID registered with iMessage in Settings > Messages

    I think you're asking this:
    You received a text message.  Now you would like to copy the text message's information and receive it as an email.
    You would do that by copying the text message to your clipboard (hold down the text bubble and select "Copy"), creating an email message, and pasting that text into the body of the email message and sending it.

    I was one of the folks saing its on your email side but this explanation is a lot better and now I agree its obviously not your email thats the issue...
    try this
    1.  Login to your Verizon account.
    2.  Click on “Account” at the top and then “Change Features” from the bottom right.
    3.  Select the device you would like to remove the service from.
    4.  Then scroll down until you find “Contact Management” and click “Remove

    It is very simple.
    depending on how old she is.  If she is a minor, then the phone is technically your property and under contract with you. If she is older then 18 then you could have some legal issues in trying to do this.
    Either way, you can install SMS Backup on her phone or one of the other SMS apps.  SMS Backup will save a copy of every text message to a gmail account and you can simply read them from gmail.
    I am not going to lecture on the ethical or legal part of this as I do track my son (for various reasons) with this (with 100% knowledge on his side)

    You have to go the the ATT website (https://www.wireless.att.com) and create your account, you can view your minutes and and text messages also but be careful because it does not update in real time, it does not add your text messages right away as you send them
