Check this one out --Interesting

Question

I have created lexer as given below.
begin
ctx_ddl.create_preference('LL_lexer_new','BASIC_LEXER');
end;
begin
ctx_ddl.set_attribute('LL_lexer_new','printjoins','-_~!@#$%^&*(){}[],=?\;|><.');end;
But when CONTAINS Search String contain * or ( or ) in the search string, then error given below is comming
Example stmt is
SELECT COUNT(*) FROM TABLE_NAME WHERE CONTAINS(COLUMN_NAME,'%#if ( EngM_swtNumCylVal_C == 5 )
FBC_dBPFacDen2_CA, VBLK (1:0.9391; 2:0.9391)
#endif ! 5 Zylinder
%')>0
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-29902: error in executing ODCIIndexStart() routine
ORA-20000: Oracle Text error:
DRG-50900: text query parser error on line 1, column 21
DRG-50903: invalid weight dd
When we use { } then no error is comming and it is returning 0 rows.
But My Point is that when I use the Like Operator Instead of Contains Operatorm, some records are comming.

In general you should let us decide whether a problem is "interesting" rather than attempting to artificially stimulate our sense of enthusiasm. Quite frankly by this time of the week we generally haven't got one.
