Checking external email - multiple downloads!
(On Safari) Is there a way to automatically include my external mail to be checked instead of having to manually click on the last "check for external mail" at the bottom of my in boxes?
And, each time I click to manually check it, ALL MY MAIL (1000+) gets downloaded over and over again and it takes forever to delete them, a little at a time and it is very frustrating!
Does anybody have any insights? Thanks.
There is no need to set both computers to remove mail from the server. Having one of them doing it should be enough. If both computers have started to download multiple copies, that would indicate a problem with the server. For some reason, Mail is losing track of which messages have already been downloaded and/or is failing to remove them from the server according to your settings.
I believe there is little you can do other than manually removing already downloaded messages from the server until the problem gets fixed at the server. Don’t know about Mac OS X 10.2, but in Mac OS X 10.3 and later, you can do this easily in Mail > Preferences > Accounts > Advanced > Remove now.
BTW, if you’re using Mac OS X 10.2.x, as your profile indicates, it would have been more appropriate to discuss this in the Mail & Address Book - Mac OS X 10.3 & earlier forum. If the discussion applies to both Mail 1.x and Mail 2.x, it doesn’t really matter, but it’s difficult to know that in advance.

Tried to do a "check external Email" for my Yahoo account on.mac mail. gives me back a wrong user id or password. I noticed that when i go back into preferences the password has more characters than I put in. am I asking it to do something that it's not supposed to do?
The extra characters shown for the password is normal and a security feature.
Is this Yahoo email account provided by your internet service provider and if not, is this a free Yahoo email account?
Is yes to the 2nd question, Yahoo prevents accessing a free Yahoo email account with any email client such as the Mail application. You can access a Yahoo Mail Plus or paid account with an email client only. -

In standard sap there is no provision to send it to multiple recipients. The mail address which you will see by default it will go to that mail address .This is the requirement i got a long back i posted to sap but it is not possible.Please check this and post if there is any query on this.

Mail constantly checks for new mail; downloads same emails repeatedly HELP!
For the last three days (since 19th), Mail has been downloading the same emails over and over again. I first noticed a problem when about 20 spam emails that usually route to my Junk folder appeared in my Inbox. I thought I had just moved it incorrectly and deleted them, then they appeared again later.
The mail jogger cycle (next to Inbox) keeps turning and turning like it can't stop checking for new mail. How do I get it to stop?? The emails are multiplying like gremlins in my Inbox and driving me nuts!
Also, it only downloads new emails when I first open the app. I have to force-quit out of Mail, then reopen, and I will get a couple of new emails, and then ALL THE EMAILS FOR THE LAST THREE DAYS AGAIN.
Mail was working fine for me until three days ago. The only thing I've changed recently is a Software Update on the 15th for QuickTime and iTunes.
Please help! I tried to Repair Permissions and it didn't do anything. I also tried removing all messages from the server and that did nothing either.

iMac G5 Mac OS X (10.4.7) 2.1 GHz, 512 MB MemoryUPDATE: I think I got it to stop checking mail. I have Yahoo mail and I checked my email through online Yahoo. I was able to delete a bunch of emails and it suddenly stopped checking for email in the Mail app.
HOWEVER, it will NOT remove some of my junk emails. I was able to delete over 100+ of them. But one specific message (which I now have 8 copies of) will not go away. It is one of those 'Delivery Status Notification' emails. Is this a virus??
I've tried Erasing Deleted Messages and Erasing Junk Mail. Neither helps. These emails won't go away.

You can't even delete from the server in mountain lion.... I did it from my old mac, but it didn't work. I keep having 11,000 new emails that can not even be deleted in blocks!!!

IPhone checking POP3 email downloading too much data. HELP
Can others confirm this problem?
I have an Iphone 3gs 16gb. I have 2 mail accounts. If I click the mail account it will connect, check for mail, then say updated. I do this on both of the mail accounts.
I then check my usage under settings, and the iphone has used 884KB to check for email. I've attempted this on 2 seperate iphones.
Can someone else confirm this same problem happens to them? What this means is if you have 2 email accounts set to check every 15 minutes, you'll blow right through your 2 GB cap, JUST ON EMAIL.
As a side note, checking for new emails using POP3 is supposed to use about 6kb or less of data usage. So, it appears the iPhone pop3 email reader has some serious issues.Do you have push notifications turned off? Have you used any applications prior to checking e-mail that uses any of the dozen features that requires data like Maps/GPS? It is possible if you have multiple things running including e-mail that it's the 800Kb along with e-mail.
Most users run IMAP protocol however instead of POP protocol. If your e-mail company serves IMAP this may be lesser usage and it includes several features including calendar and contacts. -
Can anyone help me - I am trying to download and set up icloud on my new iphone 5c plus my new acer pc and it keeps blocking me by giving me a message that I cannot be verified and to check my email account for a message and instructions .....but a message never gets sent to my email account. I rarely check my email on my iPad mini. But when I do hundreds of unread messages are downloaded, all of which I've read on my computer. Then I have to select each message to delete it. How do I see recents only?

What you've outlined in this part of the post is all that icloud stores for you outside of the backup. If you want to restore from the icloud backup you will then have for all practical purposes a carbon restoration back to your device if you restore from the icloud backup.

SQL Loader/External Table multiple record delimiters

This csv is totally not organized in structure and it contains records that are mixed together, meaning that some records are delimited by newline characters. So in short, i want to know if I will be able to load the data in this csv separating records by newline character and another character? So is that possible to have multiple record delimiters specified in the same ctl file?abohsin,
I think using the Stream record format would be helful in your case. Please explore that.
Using stream record option, instead of the default new line, you can specify a user defined record delimiter.

Here is what I did. Not the complete answer, but it might be helpful.
Replace all delimiters witha standard delimiters (in unix)

Can you choose which emails are downloaded?
I had a lot of fun tonight at launch of iPhone in the UK at local Apple Store.
Had used the iPhone in US months ago - it's better than I remembered!
But I'm puzzled about apparent lack of one feature which is important for mail management. have I missed it or is it really absent? The 'genius' didn't seem to want to acknowledge its importance.
When I'm on the road I habitually pick up email on a Samsung phone. Not as slick as iPhone but for POP accounts the email client downloads email headers, then lets me select whether I want to download the body of the email.
For a cellphone this is very sensible. the header shows email size. if someone has sent me a 2MB picture say, I don't want to spend ages downloading it over a slow mobile connection.
But as far as I can tell the iPhone downloads entire emails from a selected POP account. Not too bad if you have wi-fi access, but very inconvenient when you don't even over EDGE.
How does iPhone handle this?
The other useful mail management on my current phone is ability to delete messages from either phone pnly or phone and server (at next connection). If I'm away for a few days I don't come back and have to download/scan scores of emails I've already deleted using the phone, but I can download emails I want to archive on my main machine. Again can iPhone do this i.e. delete selected emails from the server on a regular POP account?
I will probably get the iPhone even if its email client can't do this, but would be nice to know if it's possible.
Thanks in advance for adviceWhen you check for email, emails waiting in the queue are downloaded with the subject and the first 3 lines visible to read. You can adjust the number of visible lines and total number of emails to get (25 minimum is the default).
If you then decide to read one of those emails, it will then access your email account again and THEN download the rest, including attachments. You can abort the download at any time if too large.
If you deleting email from your iPhone doesn't necessarily delete it from the server. This will be based on your settings. For example, I choose to leave my emails on the server even though I have deleted them from my iPhone because I want the full email downloaded to my computer when I get back into the office.

Email not getting send: Error message 'No delivery to external email id
Hi All,
Whenever i am trying to send mail to external address from Business Workplace (Tcode: SBWP), it initially sets the status of the mail as waiting with message 'Will be sent after server date:server time'. But after 6 hours, its status changes to error with message 'No delivery to <external email id>.
When i checked in error log (in SOST), it displays the following messages:
1. Document sent
2. Wait for Communications service
3. No delivery to <external email id> (after 6 hours from Document sent/Wait for communications service time)
Please suggest me how to resolve this issue.

Send Vendor Balance confirmations report output (F.18) to External email ID
Dear Friends.
I have following requirement
Our Client requirement is to send Vendor Balance confirmations report output (Tcode F.18) to external email ID of vendor.
So please guide accordingly.
I have done BASIS Settings for SMTP (Tcode SCOT, RZ10) and Through SAP office using BASIS consultant and i can able to send sample test mail to external email ID through SAP Office (tcode SO00)
I will be thankful if anyone gives me exact solution.

You can craete Background Job and send Mail.
e.g.
Goto->SM36->JOBWIZARD ( Create the Job and specify the Spool List Recipients ).
After Creating the job.
Again SM36->Start Condition ( You can create here when to send the mail ).
And Release it.
Be sure that your BASIS guy has done the required settings for Outgoing Mail.
Please check in SCOT.

Why do multiple Download windows pop up when I download a PDF or other file?
Everytime I try to download a file (PDF, JPG, DOC) that was attached to an email (I am using Outlook WebMail) the document will download fine HOWEVER eight (8!!!) or more Download windows pop up as if I tried to download that file eight (or more) times.
So then I have to "X" out of each window after downloading one file. It is the same file listed on each popup window.
Since this is a new problem I tried shutting down the computer and restart but not successful.

(I pressed the "Problem Solved" button however it did not give me a chance to type anything so I found the thread and pressed "Reply")
Anyhoo...I went to Safe Mode and Firefox worked great. Went back to regular mode and again multiple Download windows when trying to download a file.
I then did as you suggested and poked around in the Add Ons and there was something called Download Manager Tweak that was upgraded last week and that was when the problems started. I got rid of it and my Downloads are working great.
