  • 3rd Party Process - Need to create DO

    Dear All,
I'm trying to setup the 3rd party process for my current client. Here's my scenario.
    1. Create SO, which auto triggers PR. Using item category TAS, which is auto determined from material master item category group-standard
    2. Conver PR to PO, then PO appears in document flow.
    3. Perform MIGO, but I can't select my virtual location as a storage location. I've not receiving stock physically, as third party vendor will deliver direct to out customer. When I perform MIGO, I have goods receipt check.
    PROBLEM
I need to be able to create delivery based on the SO initially created. But because we're unable to PGR into desired location, I can't create my DO. Anyway item category TAS is not regarded for delivery. I need to create my DO due to the shipment documents need to be generated.
    4. LIV, based on Goods receipt.
Can anyone recomend whats the best approach for third party order, GR into a virtual location and be able to create my DO based on the virtual goods received.
Any feedback is welcomed, thank you guys.

    Hi,
Instead of third party scenario you can use Individual P.O process
In 3rd party you are determining item category TAS, instead determine TAB then you can able to to do GR and then create DO.

Sounds like the CD drive died. Luckily they cost next to nothing to replace. Or get an external LaCie instead. I have a dual G4 1.25 and the CD drive was always so anemic I use a LaCie Porsche with it.

  • What is the role of Lns process in oracle 10g data guard

    Hi ,
plz help me out to find out the actual working of lns process in oracle 10g data guard
when i use SYNC redo transport
the output of v$managed_stanbdy is like that ..
    PROCESS PID STATUS CLIENT_PROCESS GR# SEQ#
    ARCH 9258 CLOSING ARCH 2 498
    ARCH 9260 CLOSING ARCH 1 499
    ARCH 9262 CLOSING ARCH 2 496
    ARCH 9264 CLOSING ARCH 1 497
    LGWR 9206 CLOSING LGWR 2 482
its not display any info about lns, thats means lns is not working in SYNC redo transport mode ?
but if i changed it to ASYNC then the out put of v$managed_stanbdy is like this ..
PS PID STS CPS GR# SEQ#
    ARCH 9258 CLOSING ARCH 1 509
    ARCH 9260 CLOSING ARCH 2 510
    ARCH 9262 CLOSING ARCH 1 505
    ARCH 9264 CLOSING ARCH 2 508
    LGWR 9206 CLOSING LGWR 1 503
    LNS 10528 CLOSING LNS 2 510
Now it display all the info about lns process...
i read in oracle documentation that lns process send redo data from primary,( through network service ) to RFS on standby side.
but first output means that lns is not working,if not then which process send redo from primary to RFS on standby ?
i also read in some blog that lgwr use some extra buffer size from primary db SGA ,to write redo in that buffer ,ans lns read redo from that buffer and send it to RFS on stanby side,
i m totally confused ..can u plz help me with correct logic behind this .
    thanx in advance.

    Hello,
On the primary database when you run the v$managed_standby, it shows up the LNS process as this process sends redo info to the standby database and on the standby database the RFS process receives the redo information.
So on the primary database when you query the v$managed_standby, it shows up LNS and on the standby database when you query the v$managed_standby it shows up RFS. Please let us know where you are running the query.

  • How to check the scheduled process chain in SM37

    Hi Experts,
Can anyone tell me how do I check whether my process chain has been scheduled or not.
I checked in sm37 all the jobs that are under released status. Im getting about 10 jobs.
I dont know which one is belogs to my process chain as they do not have the process chain names.
Can anyone please let me know how do I confirm whether one of the released jobs below to my process chain.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
To find this out, in sm37, select the job and click on step button in toolbar. You would find the program name RSPROCESS.
Click on this job and then go to menu bar and select goto-> variant.
In the variant, you can see the process chain that has been used for this job.

  • System processes needed for web service call

    Hi experts,
one theoretical question: how about the system processes needed for a web service call? If have created a test service that does nothing except to wait for 10 seconds. When I call it from outside, no extra process is busy (as seen in trx SM50). Is it possible that one web service call (from outside -> SAP machine) does not need a DIA or BTC process on SAP machine?
Thanks in advance for your help!
    Kind regards, Matthias

    Hi,
Of course a web service needs a dialog workprocess to run.
But if you used the "wait" abap instruction, it may be that this instruction frees the work process ?

  • Script for checking the replication process in Netscape Directory Sever 4.1

    Hi,
We are using Netscape Directory Server 4.1.6 in our production environment. Where we want to know is there any script available to check the replication process. Or can we write a script to check the process.
Waiting for your replies at the earliest.
    Thanks,
    Syed A.

    Hi Syed,
Replication state is very easy to see in 4.x and earlier. The last changenumber in the supplier changelog is visible (on the root DSE IIRC), and each consumer suffix has an operational attribute "copiedfrom" that tells you the name of the supplier, the database generation id, and the last change replayed from the supplier.
So a script that compares the results of
    ldapsearch -h <supplier> -s base -b "" "objectclass=*" lastchangenumber
    and
    ldapsearch -h <consumer> -s base -b <base_suffix> "objectclass=*" copiedFrom
will show you if a replica has fallen out of sync. It won't tell you more than how many changes behind the replica is, though, because pre-5.x changenumbers are sequential integers, not timestamps.
However, the change that corresponds to the changenumber is clearly visible under the "cn=changelog" suffix. So if you look at the change itself you can see the timestamp on it.
For more info on the status of replication, you should be able to query the agreements on the supplier. Those live under the "Netscape Machine Data Suffix", which you can also find on the supplier's root DSE:
    ldapsearch -h <supplier> -s base -b "" "objectclass=*" netscapemdsuffix
And of course the error logs will usually tell you if replication is failing outright.
I may be off on some of the attribute names, but if you do some investigating along these lines, you should be able to figure it out.

  • Material Availablity check of the Process Order......

    Hi there,
If the reservations of material  are made against the process order & the material is not available and the stock is expected in near future........ then during the material availablity check of the process order........will it show that the material is available............
    Please elucidate me.......
    Thanks
    Kaushik

    Hi Kaushik,
Availability check is an integral part of the business process that determines if the required delivery quantity can be met on a required delivery date.
Therefore the system checks the current available quantity of stocks.........
but, for example imagine if the available stocks are not sufficient to meet the order............then the system checks replenishment lead time of the material i.e. time taken for the material to become available either internally (in house production) or externally (from a vendor) and then issues a material availability date.........i.e. date on which material would be available for delivery.
Depending on the above checks, the systems issues the delivery date.

  • Rman-08137 can't delete archivelog because the capture process need it

When I use the rman utility to delete the old archivelog on the server ,It shows :Rman-08137 can't delete archivelog because the capture process need it .how to resolve the problem?

It is likely that the "extract" process still requires those archive logs, as it is monitoring transactions that have not yet been "captured" and written out to a GoldenGate trail.
Consider the case of doing the following: ggsci> add extract foo, tranlog, begin now
After pressing "return" on that "add extract" command, any new transactions will be monitored by GoldenGate. Even if you never start extract foo, the GoldenGate + rman integration will keep those logs around. Note that this GG+rman integration is a relatively new feature, as of GG 11.1.1.1 => if "add extract foo" prints out "extract is registered", then you have this functionality.
Another common "problem" is deleting "extract foo", but forgetting to "unregister" it. For example, to properly "delete" a registered "extract", one has to run "dblogin" first:
    ggsci> dblogin userid <userid> password <password>
    ggsci> delete extract foo
However, if you just do the following, the extract is deleted, but not unregistered. Only a warning is printed.
    ggsci> delete extract foo
<warning: to unregister, run the command "unregister...">
So then one just has to follow the instructions in the warning:
    ggsci> dblogin ...
    ggsci> unregister extract foo logretention
But what if you didn't know the name of the old extracts, or were not even aware if there were any existing registered extracts? You can run the following to find out if any exist:
    sqlplus> select count(*) from dba_capture;
The actual extract name is not exactly available, but it can be inferred:
    sqlplus> select capture_name, capture_user from dba_capture;
    <blockquote>
    CAPTURE_NAME CAPTURE_USER
    ================ ==================
    OGG$_EORADF4026B1 GGS
    </blockquote>
In the above case, my actual "capture" process was called "eora". All OGG processes will be prefixed by OGG in the "capture_name" field.
Btw, you can disable this "logretention" feature by adding in a tranlog option in the param file,
    TRANLOGOPTIONS LOGRETENTION DISABLED
Or just manually "unregister" the extract. (Not doing a "dblogin" before "add extract" should also work in theory... but it doesn't. The extract is still registered after startup. Not sure if that's a bug or a feature.)
    Cheers,
    -Michael

  • Disk utility started, but a background process needed in disk utility didn'

I am stumped. I have talked to tech support, read many threads on this error message, tried all the suggested solutions, and still I get this message "Disk utility started, but a background process needed in disk utility didn't start properly. Please quit and restart disk utility."
The problem has been around for a while apparently. One technique called for removing iTunes to the desktop, trashing certain files in the library, then running disk utility. This did not work. Another suggestion was to trash, of all thing, the Chess program. This also did not work. Booting from the installation disk and running disk utility there to repair permissions also apparently does not work. Nor do third party software, such as YASU seem to get through to repair permissions.
Given the number of discussion boards addressing this problem, i was stunned that applecare/tech support person I talked to had never heard of it. Please please please help!

If you moved Disk Utility from the /Applications/Utilities directory, i.e. the Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities folder, move it back to that folder.
If memory serves, the "workaround" you cited involving iTunes only applies if you are using Mac OS X 10.3.9.
    Good luck!

  • Opmnctl: graceful stop of processes failed, trying forceful shutdown...

    Hi Guru's
I have installed BI for my billing system on HP-UX 11i , with application server 10.1.2.0.2.
Last thursday we suffered from sudden power failure and all our servers went off.
After rebooting everything, opmnctl wasnt starting, so after further digging it turned out that the problem was with the dcm.conf file and quickly found it was cleared and had a 0 byte size. So, I copied the .bak file to the original name.
After that, all the services start gracefully apart from the HTTP Server which doesnt.
    The logs are pasted below:-

Kindly assist me as there are bosses of mine breathing down my neck.
    Thank Rajab.

There isn't a direct way to avoid OPMN having to try graceful stop first and directly go for force stop. But what you can do though is reduce the amount of time it waits for graceful stop request to finish (the timeout). For that you can change (reduce) the value of "timeout" attribute of <stop> element for the component in your $ORACLE_HOME\opmn\config\opmn.xml file. Refer this for details:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B14099_19/core.1012/b13996/common.htm#CACIFHJI
You can set the timeout to a very low value.
But keep in mind you should only do it when you understand the side effects of force/kill stop approach. Following explains the difference b/w graceful and forceful shutdown of Apache (same is applicable to OHS as OPMN under the cover uses apachectl to stop OHS):
    http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/stopping.html
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks

  • Checking Rule for Process Order

    Hi Guys
I am using the standard checking rule for Process Order while releasing. This rule considers the quality blocked stock also as available stock and thus release the Process Order.
However the client does not want to include the quality block stock for process order. My question is:
    1. If I create a checking rule which does not consider quality stock as available, and attach it to release of Process Order, will it make any change in MRP run?
    2. Is there a means to show a warning message while release of process order to show the stock is in quality block state?
    3. Is there any other means to alarm or warn the user before release of Process order about the material quality block state?
Appreciate you help / suggestion on this
    Thanks in advance
    Rahul

    Hi,
Regards the stocks during MRP run, you can do it in tow areas
    1. In OPPI, you can define whether Stockin transfer/blocked/restricted stocks can be taken into account for MRP run.
    2. You can exclude storage locations in MRP run and assign the MRP storage location indicator as 1 in MRP 4 view.
Apart from this the MRP will consider all stocks and requirements.
If you don't want to consider QI stock (for ex) then you can convert them as blocked stocks or you can move to a storage location which is not assigned to the MRP.
    Thanks,
    JK

  • Howto check if any process listen to a UDP Port

    Hi,
I am develop a STREAMS Kernelmodul. If I send a UDP/IP Message upstream and no process is listen at this destiantion port, the OS crashes down.
Is there any possibility to check if any process is listening to this port like "netstat -an | grep <PORTNUMBER>" with Kernelfunctions?
    Any help is greatly appreciated
    Thank You
    Claus

The easiest way is to use lsof -i. (lsof is freeware.)
    root@jupiter# lsof -i UDP:111
COMMAND PID USER FD TYPE DEVICE SIZE/OFF NODE NAME
    rpcbind 227 root 3u IPv4 0x30002f4be60 0t0 UDP *:sunrpc (Idle)
    root@jupiter#
You can also use "netstat -an -P udp" to see if the socket is in use at all.
If you know the process ID, you can uses pfiles <pid>. for information about who the socket is connected to.
