But i'm wan't to check the serial number to know for sure it's not stolen or something.
Where can i do this?

I'm not sure why but putting a serial number on the world wide web is just not a good idea. If you know the person who has it now and they are not good people don't do it. However if you know them to be part of the cool side of the rock we live on then don't worry about it. Get a bill of sale from them with date and price and signatures yours too then don't worry you covered your A s s . That is how the law works. The law does not say you can't buy something untill you check it out with the nsa or cia. buy it like it live er somthing like that . . .. . . . . . .

I would imagine that you would have gotten an email with that information if you sent the iPhone in. If you had it serviced in an Apple Store, they give you a receipt.

you double click to prduction order number and goto header menu --> serial number

Applecare not showing when checking serial number

i just bought an applecare and i went online to register, after i entered all the info i got a message saying that in a few weeks i was going to receive an email with the info.
I just check all the applecares i have register and this one it does appear there however when checking with the serial number of my PB it says that I have 28 days left to buy the applecare protection.
how long does it take for the info to apper under the serial number?
any thoughts?

IMO, calling Apple on an issue like this is still your best bet, even if you're out of the country. It's also the best way to get real peace of mind that your AppleCare Protection Plan has been duly registered.

In some cases we need to purchase FERT materials directly from our vendor and assign our specific serial number to them, these serial numbers are provided manually during PO MIGO, now I've a requirement to avoid duplicated serial numbers, I know there is an exit IQSM0008 can help me check whether serial number exists already in OBJK table, but the problem is that the serial number rule is based on plant, which means different plants may allow same serial number. So I still need another WERKS parameter together with SERNR to check. I also checked BADI: MB_MIGO_BADI method POST_DOCUMENT, but it does not have serial number. What should I do then?

If we use the customer exit EXIT_SAPLIPW1_008, we have a select in SER05 and OJBK for each serial numbers.
                                 => 200 serial = 200 select.
The use of the BADI would be a better solution => only one SELECT .... into t_tab and then one READ for each SN.

In most cases, what you said is true...however, this is not always the case. Take myself for example...
1: I posted my phone online to sell
2: Someone saw my serial number and called AppleCare to get a replacement phone
3: An inferior AppleCare representative bypassed a component validation (check serial number to the device on hand) and approved the replacement under my AppleCare plan.
4: After noticing this (about 4 days after it happened) and a trip to Apple and a call to AppleCare, all was resolved. My phone is back to being covered under AppleCare+
5: I learned my lesson.
So, as you can see, there is a chance that it can be something else. Although, if the person selling the phone notices, it shouldn't take long to resolve it. Chances are that it is what you said.

Purchased and downloaded/installed Captivate 7 but get 'serial number valid but a qualifying product could not be found on this computer' error. I have checked serial number, checked that I purchased correct version (7) direct and not an upgrade but the drop down list tha tthe window shows is only previous 6 versions and it is 7 I purchased/installed and is opening.

Captivate thinks you bought an upgrade. Adobe Support will have to help you.
I went through this (with an upgrade) but my qualifying product was also an upgrade, and Adobe didn't list my original product (CP2). So there was no way to put in all the info.
And, just FYI, keep that serial number handy. Even after Adobe Support fixed my Captivate so that it will run, every once in awhile...for no apparent reason...Captivate will start in "trial" mode and I have to re-enter the serial number. It always works after I do that. But, it's a pain so I now keep the serial number posted on my bulletin board for handy reference.

IO231: Stock data of serial number &1 not suitable for movement

Hi experts,
I have unique problem with serialized material posting.We are having serialized managed materials which are posted to quality inspection stock.The user was able to post partial quantity to unrestricted after usage decision but when tried to post remainig quantity it is giving error 'IO231: Stock data of serial number &1 not suitable for movement".I checked serial number history in iq02 & it shows that same serial numbers were used for some order in the past which is already delivered.I am not able to understand how it allowed to post same serial numbers again for the same material and if it is normal why it is giving above error when we try to post remaining quantity?
I tried by changing serial profile in the material master with all optional fields and without stock check and equipment and try to post but its not working.
I want to somehow post material to unrestricted use from quality inspection with or without serial numbers.
I am working on 4.7 system

Serial Number Input on VL01N screen

Hi,
I am facing the following issue on the VL01n screen, when serial number is input for the material using a bar code scanner.
The problem is, it accepts just one serial number for the material and then closes the screen. The requirement is that if there is more than one material in VL01n and if the serial number is input, then instead of closing the window, it should go to the next serial number field.
For example, if there are 3 materials in delivery, the serial number is getting fed for the first material and then the serial number window closes out. Is there any way by which the closure of this window is avoided until the serial number is fed for all 3 materials.

I'm from Brazil and I had a similar problem. I bought an iPhone 4s directely from Online Apple Store here in my country, and everything was ok until then (serial numbers did match). About five months later I had this problem with the power button and I went to an authorized center and claimed for another device. The service was really fast and good.. in about 3 days I had I my new device (that they gave me wrapped in plastic and out of any box ... but it looked brand new.... is that normal?) . I just took my phone e came home satisfied.
Six months later (still under warranty) my wi-fi just stopped working from day to night. I came back to the same authorized a claimed for another phone and got really surprised when the attendant said "The serial number that is on your phone does not match with the number here in our system" (they had two serial numbers in their system: my first iPhone and the one replaced.. the second was suposed to match, but it didn't) . I told him that this was impossible, cause I didn't leave my phone to any repair or switched to anybody, and explained what happend before. If there was a mistake, it was their mistake .. Nobody checks serial number when receving a new phone (from now on, I will). They probably gave the phone that I was suposed to recieve to another person and I recieved another one, or there was a labeling problem at the factory. When I said that I heard " This is impossible, sir". The fact is that makes me wonder about this new phones that they replace us, are the really new ? But this is as discussion for another topic. How that particular iPhone was with me was a mistery for them and they took it for investigating my problem.
However, now since 14/05/2013 I'm without my iPhone and they are still trying to solve my problem.

User Exit for "Serial Number" in VL02N before "Post Goods Issue".

Current Scenario:
End User has to scan "Serial Number" for Main Unit (Item CAtegory - TAN) while doing "Outbound Delivery". But, sometimes he forget to do this activity of scanning "Serial Number". And do "Post Goods Issue" without "Serial Number".
Requirement:
When End user will click "Post Goods Issue", system should first check "Serial Number" for Main Unit (Item Category - TAN). If he will not find "Serial Number" then system should give warning message for "Serial Number".
Please suggest the suitable "User Exit" that can be used for above purpose.
Or if there is any other way then let us know.
