  • Sharepoint 2013 Infopath form Date Picker causes screen to move shift to the top in non-IE browsers

I created a list in Sharepoint 2013 that has a date field. I then created an Infopath form that has that date field in there. When I go to insert a new item in the list, clicking on the datefield brings up the calendar control. In IE the page doesn't move,
in non-IE browsers it moves the page to the top. Is there a fix for this?

Also want to know how to fix this behaviour!

    Hi,
Here is a list of the web service available in InfoPath in the link below(same for SharePoint 2013):
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb862916%28office.12%29.aspx
And for SharePoint 2013, you can find the services under the folder located at C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\Web Server Extensions\15\ISAPI.

  • SharePoint 2013: InfoPath Form value update in old forms

    Hello Experts,
I have a SP 2013 site with InfoPath form published onto the list, few fields from this form is promoted to be saved as list colum value. Everything works as expected.
So far, we have approx 2000+ form saved in this list. With new change request, I need to promote another field (say XYZ) from existing form as list column. This XYZ field is present in the form from starting and all 2000 forms contains value in this
    field.
My question - When new forms are saved, this XYZ value can be saved in list item but is there any way I can pull values from XYZ field from existing 2000 forms to be saved onto list item.
    Any help is appreciated.

Please mark my answer if it helped you, I would greatly appreciate it.

    Yes there is.
You can use "Relink Documents" from your Current View dropdown in the Ribbon. But don't use this if you have any workflows connected to the library, they WILL RUN.
Instead, you can render the forms in "Open with Explorer" view. In the Ribbon, under the Library Tools, Library tab, in the Connect & Export section, click on
Open with Explorer. As the files render in the Explorer window, you will see the icons next to the file names change to the InfoPath icon. Wait for them all to change. If you have a lot of files, you can scroll down to expose the ones that have not
changed yet. When all the icons have rendered, shut the Explorer window and refresh your view, you will see the promoted columns contain the data that was in the form.

    Hi  CALIG,
According to your description, my understanding is that the User Profile Service connection returns an error when open the form of a web application using Claim based Authentication in browser.
The issue can be caused by a limitation of InfoPath Form Services not being claims aware. For using InfoPath with claims based authentication , here is a good blog you can refer to:

  • Display an XML file Content as a treeView in a SharePoint 2013 custom form edited with SharePoint Designer 2013

    Hello everyone,
Within a list form, user has to select a value amongst a huge number of availables options.
Instead of using something like a dropdown list, which would be very boring to parse, I would like to display possibles values in a treeview.
To do that, I tried to use an <Sharepoint:SPTreeView bind to a SharePoint:SPXmlDataSource who read data from an XML File.
    <SharePoint:SPXmlDataSource runat="server" DataFile="../../SiteAssets/App_Data/myfile.xml" AutoSave="True" XPath="" ID="myDataXml"></SharePoint:SPXmlDataSource>
    <SharePoint:SPTreeView runat="server" ID="MyTreeView" DataSourceID="myDataXml" />
But when I try to display the form in my web browser, an error occurs.
Therefore, my question is : Is it possible to display the content of an Xml file as a treeView in a SharePoint 2013 custom form edited with SharePoint Designer 2013 ?
If the answer is yes, how ? Which are the required properties for "SharePoint:SPXmlDataSource" tag and "SharePoint:SPTreeView"  tag ?
What are the requirements to use thoses tags ?
    Regards,
    Florian.
Ps : I dont have access to the server side of the SharePoint site I am working on.

Assuming that https://fullsitename is a new URL address did you make sure to update your browser to include it in the Trusted Sites zone?  The message you are quoting is exactly the one you get if you don't have it in Trusted Sites.

  • Is Distributed Transaction Coordinator services of the application role are required by SQL Server 2012 for clustering and support of SharePoint 2013.

All I want to know is if Distributed Transaction Coordinator services of the application role are required by SQL Server 2012 for clustering and support of SharePoint 2013.
I have been planning and deploying my companies first Windows Server 2012/SQL Server 2012 Always On cluster and Always On Availability Groups Multi-Subnet cluster and instances for SharePoint 2013, and I will be brutally honest, the documentation on either
the MSDN and TechNet leave alot to be desired. Continually finding links in the documentation will take me from a Windows 2012 reference to a page talking about Windows Server 2008 or R2, The differences of which there are so many when it comes to configurations,
settings, roles, services when working with SQL Server 2012. I have been confused, frustrated, screaming mad, with all the misdirection in this documentation.  The documentation takes me windows 2008 R2 which is different than 2012!
Tired and trying to pick myself up off the floor!
    Greg
    Gman

In general, DTC is not required for SQL 2012.  But, since you are asking specifically about SharePoint, it would be better to ask in a SharePoint forum.  They would be more likely to know those situations where FTC might be needed by SharePoint.

  • Checkout and Checkin

    Hello,
I am working on UCM 11g + SSXA application.
I have to Checkout and Checkin DATA FILE without any change just to introduce it in workflow.
Any simple way to do it??
    Thanks,
    MAK

    Hello,
We have different administrators depending on the role and groups.
Actually, my exact requirement needs that scenario which says, if 'low priority admin' makes any changes in metadata then relative DataFile should go under workflow (without any DataFile change) for approval (under high priority admin) for monitory purpose.
So currently we are already sending updated DataFile(with changes) in workflow under 'high priority admin' so, I thought if I can checkout and checkin the DataFile then I can achieve my requirement.
    Thanks,
    MAK

  • How to migrate sharepoint 2010 infopath form to sharepoint online.

how to migrate SharePoint 2010 infopath form to SharePoint online.

    Hi Partha,
You use powershell script to migrate infopath forms from SP 2010 to SP Online. But you need to be careful about external connections used in infopath forms(web service connections etc.) because they might required to be changed. So, for data connections,
use of Data Connection Library is a preferable way or you can write a powershell script to update the data connections also.
You can find the sample script from the below url:

but it always displays url in form library item.

    Hi Ahsan,
Sorry for the late reply, we can update the "Project Link" url and "Project Link text" in a workflow variable in a Hyperlink field format ([Project Link], [Project Link Text]), and then update to another Hyperlink type column
in this list, then it should show the url as expected as hyperlink field in InfoPath form.
Note: There is a blank space after the comma in the hyperlink field format.

  • SharePoint 2013: Infopath browser form "get form from" option greyed out

In a web part page, I was able to add an app/list web part and an InfoPath web part, where the latter is setup with a "Get Form From" data connection with the former.
Now I was trying to do the same within the edit page of the tasks list, as I was aiming to allow the user to edit the item related to the task and to approve the task from the same page. I can add the two web parts. However, the "Get Form From"
data connection is not available in this case. What do I need to do to make it so?
    Thanks.

    Hi Ahmed,
Please go to task list page and click customize form, then publish it in the InfoPath form designer.
Now add a new page in SharePoint site, insert task list web part, then insert an InfoPath form web part. Click the triangle on the top right corner > Edit web part > Connections > Get form from, see if you could select task now.

  • Sharepoint 2013 - InfoPath Web Part Errors

There may be a better way to accomplish what I'm doing so I will explain the idea first.  I'm putting together a PMO Sharepoint Site which contains drill down project information from 4 groups to over 500 projects.  I would like to display the
data in a more dynamic way than just in lists so I am attempting to use an InfoPath form to display dynamic data in a more friendly text view.
After creating a form view in InfoPath 2010, I loaded it into Sharepoint 2013.  I went through "Connections" and selected "Get Form From" and chose a web part list.  After choosing the view and saving I receive this error.  Sometimes
it saves correctly but when I go back to edit the web part this error appears.

This has been answered for SP 2010 at SP:SO. Things wont change much in SP 2013 as far as VWP is concerned. Basically you will need to implement Custom Web Part Editor.
    http://stackoverflow.com/questions/6946153/edit-webpart-properties-with-dynamic-dropdownlist
    Here is an example.

  • How to create a folder with standard contained folders and files in SharePoint 2013?

I've got folders and files on my SharePoint 2013 site that form a template when I add a new folder for a customer. When I create a new folder for a customer, I want those folders and files added automaticly to that new folder. How can I do that?

  • SharePoint 2013 Infopath Web Service Get File within list permissions

    Hello,
I am looking for a web service to pull a form within a form libraries permissions.  So a user creates a form and requests access for him/herself and whomever he/she wants to have access to the form, I then go to file share with and grant only these
people access.  lets say I now have 2000 forms and and I want a column that says these people have been granted access to this file instead of clicking each file going to properties and checking share with permissions.  What web call would I use
for this, been searching and keep finding how to share with people instructions and now how to use a web service to pull the names.

    Hi Ahmed,
Please go to task list page and click customize form, then publish it in the InfoPath form designer.
Now add a new page in SharePoint site, insert task list web part, then insert an InfoPath form web part. Click the triangle on the top right corner > Edit web part > Connections > Get form from, see if you could select task now.
