Checksums don't match so I can't install JRE (Sparc)

Hi all:
I download both files sparc.sh and sparcv9.sh twice with sun download manager and without it.
Both version 1.6.X and 1.5.X;
checksum of both .sh (without sdm)
44403 41851 jre-1_5_0_16-solaris-sparc.sh
11238 18003 jre-1_5_0_16-solaris-sparcv9.sh
29513 47939 jre-6u11-solaris-sparc.sh
21633 20114 jre-6u11-solaris-sparcv9.sh
55550 41796 install.sfx.21369
checksum with (sdm)
51020 41877 jre-1_5_0_17-solaris-sparc.sh
229 18010 jre-1_5_0_17-solaris-sparcv9.sh
29448 47938 jre-6u11-solaris-sparc.sh
21633 20114 jre-6u11-solaris-sparcv9.sh
50190 47904 install.sfx.21448
Since I use SDM once I think is pointless tell you ; that I download on windows PC and then transfer (binary) to a sparc machine (S10/u6).
Does anybody know why the md5 checksums of these files are missing.?!
Can you help or forward this issue to know may help me??
Thanks!

How did you purchase your Adobe software?  Did you purchase a volume license?  If so you can go to https://licensing.adobe.com/ and possibly download the software and burn it to disc outside of the firewall?  If it is a retail copy did you purchase the download version but are now looking to obtain a physical copy of the software?
The physical media does come on one disc and if you do download the software it will fit on a single DVD.

  • Can't Install JRE 1.5.0-05

I can't seem to install JRE 1.5.0-05. I'm currently using Windows XP SP2. O have tried both the online and offline installers. I get to the point in the install process where the status reads 'Copying new files' and a window pops up that says 'Please insert the disk: 1' Well.... I don't have any disks to insert.
    Anyone come across this before?
    Thanks.

I should add that I click okay and it keeps poping back up. So my only choice is to cancel out of the install process.

  • I don'T know why i can't install the latest verison of itunes on my laptop.

when i installs it it does not open it...

You have to upgrade to Leopard. Leopard isn't sold by Apple because it has been discontinued. First, check that your iBook is supported > http://support.apple.com/kb/sp517
Then, purchase Leopard at eBay or Amazon. It's expensive, so it's possible that you won't find any cheap version. Insert the DVD and upgrade to Leopard. Finally, open  > Software Update, and install the latest version.
If your Mac doesn't support Leopard, buy a new Mac

Reviewing the preceding posts, I saw the suggestion to remove a java folder in c:"Program Files ..."
Imagine my surprise to discover that there was such a folder on my system after my uninstalls of java using Revo Uninstaller.
There were also java executables in the windows, System32, SysWOW64 subfolders.
After I again uninstalled the jdk 64 bit, I deleted all folders that seemed to contain java
When I reinstalled jdk 64 update 24 to c:\s\java, I was again not asked where to install the jre.
Inspecting the folder tree at c:\s\java I can see c:\s\java\jre but no folder c:\s\java\jre6
However, after this install I am able to execute the java command without seeing an error.
I don't think I'm fully functional yet because an attempt to start eclipse 3.6 (Helios) gives an immediate error windows "Failed to load the JNI shared library "c:\s\java\bin\..\jre\bin\server\jvm.dll"
Since the file c:\s\jre\server\jvm.dll does exist, I'll try re-installing eclipse.

  • Colors in Photoshop and InDesign don't match when printed

Output colors in InDesign and Photoshop (CS4) don't match. How can I calibrate? (I can choose a Pantone color for a Photoshop element that I've used in an inDesign document, import it into InDesign, and when I print, the colors don't match)
There must be a way to calibrate the colors among the CS4 software.....
(Mac OS 10.6.4 on 27" iMac)

That's what 'synchronised' means... as has been mentioned.  Looks like you need to read a few colour management threads.
If you are picking color from the Pantone Libraries, you can easily get mismatches even with synchronized color settings. In ID if you leave Ink Manager>Use Lab Vales unchecked, the Pantone Solid libraries are defined with CMYK values, while in Photoshop the solid swatches are always defined as Lab values. So, if you pick a color like Pantone Solid Reflex Blue in ID, and then open a Lab, RGB, or CMYK file in PS and fill with Reflex Blue from the same library, you'll never get the default ID Reflex Blue build of 100|73|0|2 whether you are sync'd or not.
If you are actually outputting spot colors—the PS color is Duotone or a channel—then Use Lab should always be checked in ID and Color Settings would have no effect because ID doesn't have spot color management.
If you restrict yourself to the Pantone Process libraries, then you can work in CMYK mode in PS and get matches. In that case color settings might come into play if you embedded a CMYK profile in PS that conflicted with your ID doc's CMYK profile, but even in that case it's the assigned profiles that matter not the current color settings.

If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then you can try going to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you might see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.

  • Can't install 32Go of Ram in my Mac Pro

    Hi Everyone,
I own a 2012 Mac Pro actually running with 2 x 8Go of memory plus 6 x 2Go (these ones were provided by the reseller).
When I bought the set of 8go, I picked 4 to upgrade to 32Go but it never worked, the Mac Pro couldn't see 32Go, only 16Go.
I tried several slot configurations without any success.
I sent the memory back twice to the reseller and had the same issue so I guess it's not linked to that but to the machine.
    Right now all my slots are filled with 2 x 8Go and 6 x 2Go and it works so I don't understand why I can't install 4 x 8Go.
    Any help or explanation welcome

2009 thru 2012 use DIMMs that are different from the FBDIMMs used on older models.
When larger DIMMs first became available, some of these were "Registered" DIMMs (they have an output buffer that holds the output longer). Experience showed that these did not mix and match with "Unregistered" DIMMs, but Blogs indicated that some different sizes did not mix and match correctly.
So what you may be seeing is a mix of older and newer DIMMs, even in the same sizes, that are not compatible.
No pairing is required. These Macs use slots 1, 2, and 3 independently. Slot 4 shares a channel with slot 3.
To check new DIMMs when you receive them, remove ALL DIMMs from the machine, and populate slots 1, 2, and 3 with new DIMMs. Power up your Mac Pro to test. The error-correction Hardware will be used during power up to determine if ANY errors occur in the first minute of testing, and those DIMM slots will be marked "empty".
Once you have determined the working status of your new DIMMs, the next part of the process is "what will work with what". This requires another complete pass using only known-good DIMMs trying different configurations until you find one that is reliable. You may find that some new or old DIMMs will not "play nice with others" and can make a sound decision of what to keep and what to reject.
As you found out, this requires a very methodical, almost "driven" approach, or you end up sending everything back.

If you're using an Intel Mac, buy it on DVD from the online Apple Store. If you're on a regular PC, you can't; the lack of Mac OS X drivers for the PC's hardware would make it unusable anyway.

  • Can't install 10.4.11

I've downloaded the 10.4.11 update through Software Update (the package name is 'MacOSXUpd10.4.11Intel'). When I originally set SU to download the package and install it, it was downloading and I left my computer alone for a little while (say 15 minutes). I did not put the computer to sleep or anything. When I came back, there was an error message, and it had placed the package in my trash. I took the package out of the trash to try to install it myself, but every time the Installer app comes up, it quits after a few seconds. Not sure of what the problem was, I restarted my computer (which took much longer than usual), and since I've done that I not only can't install the update (Installer app won't stay open), but many of my apps, like Safari (beta 3), Activity Monitor, and Adium, have the same problem, shutting off quickly & unexpectedly. The only other thing I've tried so far is repairing disk permissions, but that hasn't helped.

I have always used the Macfixit recommended process for updating Mac OS. It is a bit lengthy but it has worked every time for me. This refers to 10.4.4 but applies to any OS update. Maybe this will help:
First create a backup of your startup volume.
    1. Drag the folder com.apple.SoftwareUpdate located in /Library/Caches (the
Library folder at the root level of your hard drive) to the trash.
    2. Download the standalone version of Mac OS X 10.4.XX and save it for
    later.
    3. Startup (restart) your Mac using a drive other than your usual startup
drive as the boot volume. This can include an eDrive created by TechTool
Pro, or better, an external FireWire. Make sure that this drive includes a
copy of Disk Utility (which can simply be copied from your normal
startup volume). You can use your install CD disk to boot from that came with your iMac also. Instead of install use the menu for Disk Utility
    4. Launch Disk Utility from the temporary startup drive. Perform a "Repair
Disk" operation on your normal startup drive (which should now appear as another mounted volume in the Finder)
    5. Again restart, this time booting from your normal startup volume, while holding the "Shift" key to boot in Safe Mode.
    6. Apply Mac OS X 10.4.4 and restart when prompted, this time without holding the "Shift" key.
    7. First startup slow As with previous iterative Mac OS X releases, the startup time after first installing Mac OS X 10.4.4 can be inordinately long. Don't panic
if you are stuck at the grey progress screen for several minutes after the update.
Subsequent restarts should take place at normal speed.
General purpose workarounds Three workaround routines will solve many of the issues that are indirectly caused by Mac OS X 10.4.4 installation (i.e. not due to bugs or flaws in the update, but pre-existing system conditions that may be triggered by the updater process).
    The routines are as follows:
Delete kernel extension caches, other caches for some issues A number of common issues that crop up after incremental Mac OS X updates can be resolved by deleting specific cache
    MacFixIt - Mac OS X 10.4.4 (#2): Upgrade procedure recommendati... http://www.macfixit.com/article.php?story=20060111082842671
files -- specifically kernel extension caches -- and restarting.
This can most easily be accomplished with a shareware utility like Tiger Cache Cleaner, but also bears a manual process which involves dragging the following files to the trash:
    com.apple.kernelcaches (a folder in /System/Library/Caches)
    Extensions.kextcache (a file in /System/Library)
    Extensions.mkext (a file in /System/Library/)
    com.apple.ATS (a folder in /Library/Caches/)
Files that start with com.apple.LaunchServices (in /Library/Caches)
You will be prompted to enter your administrator password when dragging these files to the
trash. You may need to restart after moving them to the trash.
Re-apply the Mac OS X 10.4.4 combo updater A workaround that has proved successful or various problems caused by previous incremental Mac OS X updaters is re-application of the current combination updater. Doing so overwrites potentially problem-causing files that were not replaced by the "Delta" (adjacent version-to-version) update.
Re-apply the Mac OS X 10.4.4 combo updater from an alternate startup volume
Download and save the Mac OS X 10.4.4 combo updater.1.
Startup from an alternate boot volume, such as an external FireWire drive, or use another Mac to boot the problematic system in FireWire target disk mode (connect the two machines via a FireWire cable, and boot the target [problematic] system while holding
    down the "T" key)
    2. Once booted from an alternate drive, select the problematic volume in the Finder, and "Get Info" -- either by pressing the Command-I keyboard combination or accessing the "Get Info" option in the File menu. Check the box marked "Ignore ownership permissions on this volume."
    3. If you have a third-party disk repair utility like DiskWarrior, use it to re-build the
directory on the problematic volume (this step may not be necessary)
    4. Re-install the Mac OS X 10.4.4 combo updater on the problematic drive.
    5. Re-attempt booting from the problematic volume (hold down the option key at startup to select the desired drive)
    6. Reverting (downgrading) to Mac OS X 10.4.3 For instructions detailing how to revert to Mac OS X 10.4.3 from Mac OS X 10.4.4, see this tutorial.
