Cheer Up, All... I know all BB fans are feeling down right now, the Canadian media is very funereal this weekend

I really like my BB Z10 and find the Bell live-tv app in particular a real asset -- I'm not addicted to tv but it's nice to be able to watch the latest news while travelling... and the BlackBerry Travel app is great.
We are in a gadget-crazy market so this thing with competition with Apple and Android is very tough, and I have yet to figure out if the two alternates to BlackBerry are really all that much better...
But this is just an attempt at a bit of morale-boosting, support for the company from a Canadian user, and a sub-note that I am a Canadian senior female, not a type that is noted as a gadgeteer in the IT sector marketplace, but I did want to get a smartphone and I decided on the BlackBerry Z10 and am more than satisfied with it. At the moment I just discovered the Bell app for watching live tv on the Z10 -- I thought that was very neat, useful for those keeping up with the news, and very reasonably priced on the Bell mobility provider network...
Well, BlackBerry employees and Mr. Thorsten Heins, I am thinking of you a lot this Saturday afternoon in Victoria, BC and thanking you for a hard-fought battle. I hope things can survive and that more people realize the Z10 is totally competitive with any of the best smartphones out there... and, my recommendation for the future is a device that is a crossover combined tablet, phone and e-reader [maybe a battery switch to switch to e-reader format] so that a serious adult and a senior could carry just one device with them whlle travelling. The device could include a Bluetooth earpiece and mike for using at a desk as a phone...

I am all of 73 and fortunately active and used to be very computer literate, but never kept up after Windows went into a confusing spin and lost its well-organized setup where one could find one's files! I've gotten used to Windows 7 now. I guess that places me... I was a community librarian in a public branch library and actually set up one of the first computer learning centres for kids in a public library, in Canada, with Apple IIe computers! Then we added PCs.... so I've always followed Apple's fortunes...
I don't hate Apple, or Android, for what they are, and I know it's a competitive market out there for these devices, a lot of people like to try different ones, but I do think BlackBerry did well with the Z10 and that it is an excellent, robust choice for a smartphone... I'd like to try the coming Z30 but probably can't afford to. I did find it challenging to learn to use it, but my husband ordered a Google Android phone over the internet because it had a certain marine navigation app he wanted which brand wasn't available for the BlackBerry at the time, Navionics, not sure whether it is now or not. I LOVE the predictive touch-screen Z10 keyboard, it is excellent, the whole internet experience seems fast and stable. And not as hard to learn to use as all that, my other half is still having trouble just even making calls on his Google Android, he sometimes can't seem to get it right, finds it confusing, says the keyboard disappears... well, you know, us seniors...
I still think BB should develop a "phablet" with an earpiece and mike as well as speakerphone, and an e-reader mode with its own battery level or something of that sort, to create an all-purpose device for the mature travelling adult that's not as bulky to carry around as a laptop.
It's a rough world out there and the world can use only so many smartphones... but I believe this one is one of the best.

Hmm. The problem still may be the RAM - Apple buys the RAM it puts in its machines from third-party vendors (usually Hynix) so it could be a RAM problem.
There are a couple of things that you can do yourself before taking your machine into an Apple Store or an AASP... download and run an application named Rember that will run a RAM test for you - let it run for a couple of hours or even overnight. If it turns out that your RAM is faulty, Rember will let you know. If it is faulty, then you have a couple of options - replace the RAM yourself or (particularly if you're under warranty still) take the machine to an Apple Store or AASP and have them replace the RAM.
If Rember finds no fault with the RAM, then you'll need to take it into an Apple Store/AASP and get a free diagnosis on the machine. Three beeps do usually indicate faulty RAM, but if it tests good with Rember you likely have another problem - it could be something as simple as the RAM, somehow, not seated correctly or signs of another hardware problem.
Run Rember first... call back with results.

You can get the latest version of Firefox 3.6 from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
You can trash Firefox 4.0 then re-install Firefox 3.6, it will use your existing bookmarks, passwords etc
Mozilla are working to prevent Mac users with non-compatible systems from getting the notification about Firefox 4, and also not displaying the "Download Firefox 4" button on http://www.mozilla.com

Number of connection to this computer limited and all connections are in use right now

I have Lenovo ThinkPad T520 (i7, NVIDIA 4200TM) with dock station and two monitors. Sometimes when I close notebook and undock it from dock station. Then I cannot login to my notebook because of error "Number of connection to this computer limited and

Laptop is not in domain and does not have remote desktop connections. It was just turned in sleep mode and late turned on.
This happen pretty often one from 10..20 times of undock. It did not happen with Windows 7 before.

The network does not work properly after you resume the computer. This kind of issues are cuased by the network device driver. Download the latess Windows 8 driver from Lenovo website and install it.

HT4059 After giving up the iPad2, I bought the 3rd gen. I was happy with it until I tried to download my books. All apps downloaded fine. I'm still having trouble downloading the books. Has anyone had this problem?

This is my first time asking a question. I'm guessing at what I need to do. I don't see steps to follow and so...here goes!
I have used the original iPad, the second gen, and now bought the 3rd gen. I have had no trouble in downloading all my apps and books from one iPad to the next until I bought the iPad3. Was this a mistake???
I continue to have trouble viewing my books or PDFs through the iBook(shelf). When going into the Apple Store, the tech and I were very confused. He even messaged his boss. We discovered that if we typed in the title, it would appear as "install." If I clicked on "installation" I could reinstall it on my new iPad3. Last week, before giving up my iPad2 to my district, I wanted more storage space. The Apple tech noticed that I had 2 accounts. Because they were for the iPads which I had returned, I deleted them which recovered a lot of memory. Then, I bought the iPad3 and problems began! Help!!!

AT&T uses Yahoo for its webmail. The only way to access mail without Yahoo is through e-mail software such as Entourage. (My MacBook's Mail software has never accepted the AT&T settings, so I gave up long ago.)
When I first got the iPad about three weeks ago, I took a chance and selected the Yahoo account option to set up my incoming and outgoing mail servers. And the settings that the iPad chose worked beautifully. Until today.
That might very well be part of my problem. However... why wasn't it a problem at all until about three hours ago? I'm a little afraid to change settings right now, in case it's just AT&T mucking around on their end this afternoon. I keep hoping it will just start working again.
Full disclosure: I actually did get two messages to go through after I installed then deleted the Dropbox app. I was so happy. I thought it was fixed. But a second message -- and about ten subsequent messages -- did not go through. It's very hit or miss. But 99% of the time, the icon spins and the message doesn't go anywhere. The first time it happened, it told me the outgoing mail server wasn't available. The other times, there was nothing but spinning until I force-quit the Mail app in the dock. There's nothing in the outbox at all, perhaps because I quit before an autosave could occur.

Try the following code (I removed the template markup from the page, so I could work with it). The page is now centered, however, there are areas that really need fixing to correct various elements that just don't sit right. The main problem is the use of AP Divs for a layout - as already explained by Gary. AP divs (or layers) should not be used unless you understand the pitfalls that may be associated with their use.

Just another suggestion, that blinking text in the left sidebar is so 1990's :-) and does not really add any value to the page, except as a distraction. People will keeping that text blink and not be able to concentrate on the actual content you are tryng to provide. (seriously !).
Anyway here's the code to center the page, but you will need some refinement to make the whole page more cohesive.

Know how there's two timers (left, right)? the right one doesn't run

Normally there are two timers next to the current song status: 1) how much time since the beginning of the song, and 2) how much time until the end. For some reason, the second one doesn't work and all it displays is the total length of the current song. It's not something that can be fixed by restarting the computer (so far this is apparent) because I noticed this yesterday and I turned the computer off for the night. I checked to see if there was an update for iTunes, hoping that the problem would go away after downloading a new version, but I already have the current one. Any suggestions?

Start playing a song, and click on the second counter (the one that is displaying just the length of the song). This should toggle it back.

It sounds like you may be having issues with Activation Lock (one of the new security features you mentioned in iOS 7). If so, you may find the following article helpful:

I'm having a problem in FCP7 with all video transitions. Every transition has a rolling flicker throughout the effect. What is causing this?

I recently upgraded to FCP7 from FCP6. I am now having an issue in playback with all video transitions. When I add a transition to my video it does not consistently play smoothly. I now appears to have an old "film" like flicker rolling through the effect. Our video was shot on a dslr and brought into FCP with compressor as a prores 422 file. We use magic bullet for our coloring effects which are in place on this video. When I was working on the project in FCP6 I did not have this problem. When the project was complete we upgraded to FCP7. The client has now come back to us wanting additional footage. So I opened the old project up into FCP7 and checked yes to all format updates to meet with FCP7 guidelines. So far this is the only problem I've encountered. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

For me it looks like conflict with field order (upper, lower - interlaced).
Please, check Your sequence settings, maybe it should be set to "field order NONE" if Your source is progressive.
Next thing You could check:
in Your timeline with bad transitions look into "Effecs tab" - maybe FCP 7 added "shift field filter +/-1" after opening FCP 6 project.
In general - try to keep sequence settings same as source settings.

HP Photosmart 7510 e-ALL-IN-One Series pages are blank coming out of the printer

Printed pages are either blank or streaked. I have cleaned the print heads (clearning levels 1 & 2) and installed new HP cartridges but issue persits. This occours whether I print in blk&white or color. It may print one or two good pages until it starts to streak badly or produce blank pages. I then clean the print heads (levels 1 & 2) and sometimes it works again for a couple of pages.

If your problem persists get yourself a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list)
Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
Reconnect the power cable (only for Apple TV 3)
Open iTunes.
Select your Apple TV in the Devices list, and then click Restore.

Have you tried a hard reset yet? To do this, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
If that doesn't work, try downloading another free app from the App Store. This has been known to resolve the issue for a number of users.
