Child part demand for Subcontractor parts not reflecting in SNP
Hi
I have a situation where the demand for child parts are not reflecting in SNP.
The demand for the parent parts are visible in SNP, but the demand in turn is not being reflected against child parts that are Subcontractor parts.
The demand for child parts are visible in R/3 and in Product View (/SAPAPO/RRP3 - Product View) in APO, but not in the planning book.
Please can you assist me.
Thanx in advance.
Keegan
Hi Gaurav
Let me give you further detail to explain the problem.
Child part - A
Parent part - B
Finished Product - C
Step 1 - We purchase part "A".
Step 2 - We supply part "A" to subcontractor supplier,
who after processing part "A" supplies back to us part "B".
Step 3 - We issue part "B" to finished product "C" ,as part "B" is a BOM component for part "C"
The problem we face is that when Demand for part "C" comes through, it in turn places Dependant Demand on BOM compnent part "B".
The APO SNP system then raises Purchase Reqs for part "B" which is placed on our Subcontractor supplier.
However the demand for part "B" is not distributed to part "A" which we need to raise Purchase Reqs for as it is needed to be supplied to Subcontractor to process for us and then in turn supply back to us part "B".
Please advise as to how we can distribute the demand for part "B" to part "A" as there is a 1 to 1 ratio, so for every 1 part "A" we purchase and supply to Subcontractor, we raise a Purchase Req against the Subcontractor to receive back 1 part "B" which we issue to Production order for finished part "C".
Also please let me know what the settings in the R/3 material masters should be for part "A"and "B" on tabs MRP 1, 2, 3 and 4
Please let me know if there is any other info you require from me, to assist me.
Thanx in advance

E Recruitment -Candidate applied for job but not reflected candidate name
E Recruitment
Candidate applied for job but not reflected candidate name Recruiter Dashboard
Please any one suggests me what is problem?
Regards
EshwarHello Sri,
the solution to your first question might be very easy. In EhP 4 the entries in the dashboard do not appear automatically. In most cases you have to refresh the dashboard (be aware this is only effecting the current dashboard work list, not all if you do not use the refresh all button). Soclick the "My new Applications" and then refress this workset.
If this does not help we will have to look closer into this issue (overall I assume you have EhP4 SP 6 applied).
For question 2. It is a quite common requirement that an external publication is nearly only based on the posting texts while the internal publication includes much more specific information (org. management, cost center, pay scale group). As you are free in designing you own company specific internal and external publications they can look however you want (in the general restriction what a smartform can do of course). For different publication texts companies create different postings one for internal and one for external publication. The additional information are in some cases entered directly into these texts, in some cases maintained in e-rec fields not needed for other requirements, in customer own fields or directly gathered from the HR core system. It depends a bit on the exact requirement which is the best solution. For the fields you mentioned I'd probably go for OM integration for e-rec (assigning positions to requisition) and get the Information via customer RFC function module directly in the smartform (if the security guys allow the access to the HR system from the e-rec system).
For question 3. The manager should be able to see the decision maker data overview. Here you can include whatever you want as you can replace it with a customer developed smartform.
Kind Regards

List view web part not reflecting changes made to list view in SharePoint Designer
Dear All,
When adding a list view web part containing a view modified in SharePoint designer (e.g. conditional formatting applied, or group headers modified) I'm finding that the changes made in SPD are not reflected in the web part.
For example, I go into SPD edit a view, and the view appears correctly when I go back into SharePoint, however when I link to the view within a list view web part it results in losing the changes made in SPD.
Becasue it's a publishing page I'm unable to edit the contents of the web part in SPD.
I'm sure this is expected behavior but how do I get around this?

Process orders not reflecting in SNP planning book
Hi,
I am facing a problem here that the SNP planned orders once converted into process orders in ECC are not reflecting in the SNP planning book.
However if i check the /sapapo/rrp3 product view, the process orders are visible here.
Kindly help me understand if i am missing out something here.
Thanks,
NalinHi,
Please Check whether the ATP category is assigned to the Category group which is assigned to KF in the planning.
If that is assigned rightly then run TS cons check.

Group membership for users is not reflected at the client until full reboot
Ok, so I am new to this:
So I created two groups on the server g1 and g2. Created two server users u1 and u1. I have one client with three accounts: System Admin, u1 and u1.
On the server:
g1 has one member u1
g2 has one member u2
When I swap the membership on the server using Server pref. or Workgroup manager, the users on the client still have access to their original group.
I tried logging everyone out of the client. I does not work.
The only way is to reboot the client completely. However, sometimes when I change the membership it does get reflected on the client. Any ideas?
Equipment:
One (1) Mac Mini Server 10.6.3, clean install. (defaults to OD)
One (1) MacBook Pro 17" , 10.6.4
Is there a way to push?Answer!
UAC (User Account Control) must be set to OFF to disable this message.
Another error message that really has nothing to do with what's really happening!

Demand on VC material not visible in SNP planning book
Hi Experts,
Is there any way to plan VC (Variant Configuration ) materials in SNP at the group level ?
I will explain the scenario more in details below
I have an VC material say X. Material X has end product Y attached to it (material variant). When material X is cifed to APO, it appears as configurable product in APO & is a top level product. Now when I create a demand on material X through DP, the demand appears in product view (RRP3). However the demand does not appear in the SNP planning book nor it gets selected during background planning run. The system is configured as Variant Configuration & not CDP.
Is it possible to plan material X in SNP ? If possible how can the demand be read in SNP ?
Thanks in advance
Regards
SandeepHi Sandeep,
One of the limitations of Characteristics Based Forecasting is, CBF results can only be used in PPDS and not in SNP, hence it is not possible to plan that material X in SNP. Even though you use MC90 transaction which is release DP to SNP, but the data will not be available in SNP
That material X will be planned only in PPDS, there are two ways to plan, those are
1. one way is by releasing CBF results to active version using MC90 transaction, during this release, you should maintain consumption group in release settings and in product master, in this case you have to use Forecast Check/Allocation check as a part of ATP/GATP, here you can not use CTP or MATP
2.the other way is by releasing CBF results to inactive version using MC90 transaction, during this release you should not define consumption groups, generate the dependent requirements in inactive verison using heuristics in PPDS , and convert dependent requirements from inactive version to Forecast - active version using /SAPAPO/DMP2 transaction, in this case you can use MATP/CTP as a part of GATP

Demand for Phantom parts ?
We have a BOM, where parent part (say 'A') is defined 'Phantom' item. And this is the topmost part and this BOM is not part of any other BOM. My question is, will ASCP generate demand for component defined under part 'A' ? We are not seeing any demand for components. I believe that if topmost parent is Phantom, no demand will be generated for any of the child. Please let me know any inputs. Thanks.

Hi,
I have created a blog site with the available site template few days back. Now we have the requirement of having the attachments in the body of the comments section.
So, I updated the schema.xml of the comments list available under ../templates/blog/lists/comments/schema.xml to have rich text for the Body field.
With this change, I created a new site and it was working fine. Change is reflected in the new blog site.
However, this particular change is not reflected in the existing blog site. Any changes made to the schema.xml is not effecting the old blog site.
Can anyone suggest what can be done for the change to be reflected in the old blog site?
Thanks in Advance,
Regards, Keerthi SuryadevaraHi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to add attachments in the body of the comments section.
You can add the the Code inside the Default list pages. For more information, you can refer to:
Enable Attachment in SharePoint Blog post list and display the list Attachments
In addition, you can add an enhanced rich text field to the comment list and remove the body field. Then you can insert files into comments, too.
Here is a similar thread for your reference:

Due to this Build of DC B fails.
can any body help why that xml is not genrated in DC AHi Jain,
is the error message that the public part is not found prefixed with [dcmake]? If yes that rather points in the direction that there is a problem with the metadata information. (PP name not correctly spelled, renamed after initial creation, perhaps even some problems with upper/lower-case letters depending on your platform.)
What SP are you using? The log looks like some rather old build plugins are used on a newer NWDI installation.
The warning from the [wdgen] task and the subsequent failure of the [wdminimizer] can be ignored. "ERROR: Non Fatal Error" is a bit quaint, but it really is not fatal. It just means that the minimizer didn't find the data required to operate. The [wdgen] warning means that the WebDynpro generator could not write the information. So the jar files in your public part are maybe a bit bigger than necessary but that's all.
Best regards,
Marc -
Rejecting subcontracting assembly to 2 or more child part vendors
Dear all
I have a problem in our quality management system of our client
Iu2019m trying to reject a subcontracting assembly (C) made from two child parts A & B
Both child parts A & B are faulty parts and since the child part vendors are certified both the parts have been in-warded to plant and are sent to subcontracting vendor.
Assembly C is made from both the parts A&B which is also in-warded in to plant.
Now I am trying to reject the part C through line rejection/ secondary rejection (QM01) but in my quality management system I can only post assembly part to only one child part.
i.e, sending the assembly part to block stock posting the assembly stock to one child part rejecting the child part to child part vendor.
So my question is how should I reject the assembly on both child parts and reject both the child part to their respective vendors.
Regards
NVBIn such scenarios what I understood is When can not actually reject the Child item in assembly independently ....you have to reject the whole assembly.
When you reject the assembly assembly goes by 122 mvt & child items by 542 mvt.Stock at vendor increase for child item.
Now its very much company specific process when it comes to rejection from vendor side.
you have to take help of MM guys for designing such process as Excise comes into picture.
I hope this will add some value -
Cannot create mysites from powershell: Original XSLT List View Web Part not found
I have a bizarre problem in my SharePoint 2013 farm. This does not occur in my test farm, only in the farm we were going to go live with.
I'm on windows Server 2012, SQLServer 2012 SP1, SharePoint 2013 April CU. 1 appserver/centraladmin server, 2 web servers.
When I log into our mysitehost and click newsfeed, it will create a mysite (even though first it displays "we are sorry there was a problem creating your site")
But from powershell, whether I use $UserProfile.CreatePersonalSite() or New-SPSite, I get the following error:
Original XSLT List View Web Part not found
So far I've only found one other person with this:
http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/sharepoint/en-US/2503e42c-e114-4e89-8e00-89fe70f0b154/cannot-create-sharepoint-mysite-programmatically
This is a brand new farm, created with the same scripts I created my test farm with, and same version of SharePoint. Only the service accounts are different. (Farm account has admin on the servers right now since I was setting up profile service).
Some other errors from the same correlation ID that look related:
It can't seem to find the listemplate 101
And something looks wrong with the MySiteDocumentLibrary feature
I have tried the following:
1. run psconfig.exe on each server
2. install-spfeature -AllExistingFeatures
3. looped through the directory under Features and for each called Install-SPFeature $dirname -Force
4. uninstalled and reinstalled MySiteDocumentLibrary feature
5. blew away the whole farm (removed all servers from farm, deleted all databases) and recreated it.
6. tried creating the UPA from the CentralAdmin gui.
The only real difference I can think of between the working farm and non working farm is, I installed the working farm using RTM, then as they came out added the March PU and April CU. For this farm I installed RTM and March and April, and then ran my build
farm script.
I am at a loss. What do I need to do, re-install the binaries? That's all I can think of. What I love is that our test / POC system worked fine, and now 2 weeks before go-live I'm seeing errors on the production servers I've never seen before. Using the
same scripts no less.

I've had other problems in this farm: the bug where when you add Administrators to a Search Service via the Manage Service Applications page, it removes the SPSearchDBAdmin role from the search service process account. That one did not happen in the other farm.
At least other people have that one and I could just use the farm admin instead (still troublng of course).Ok,
Here is the problem:
When creating a mysite from powershell or script, apparently you can ONLY do this from a wfe (or a server running Microsoft SharePoint Foundation Web Application in services on server).
You CANNOT create mysites from script on your appserver if it is not also a Web Application Server. I confirmed the same is true in my test farm. I guess I was always running most of these scripts on the webserver.
I searched all over and cannot find this documented anywhere.
Who do I contact to have Microsoft document this?
It's Thursday morning, I've been working non stop since Saturday morning so you don't have to :)
