They only appear in Firefox on my computer. If I sign in from smartphone I have normal English menu words.

hello, this is a displaying flaw often caused by the mcafee site advisor extension - please try to disable or remove that in case you have it present until there is an update by mcafee that can fix the problem.

I have Chinese Characters showing up on the top of my Firefox page.

The Chinese Characters have been showing up for a couple of months. I have tried using various Virus Detecting programs such as MalewareBites but they don't seem to fix the problem. These Chinese Characters show up on the initial Firefox Search Screen as well as my ANZ Bank and Ancestry.com.au webpages just to name a few. How can I get rid of them. These Chinese Characters don't appear on Google or Internet Explore. If this can't be fixed I may have to stop using Firefox and use Google or Internet Explorer. I have tried attaching an image of this problem but it appears I am unable to.

Hi, this is a known problem with McAfee Site Adviser, so if you are using it, that could be the cause. I have a thick grey bar that has suddenly appeared at the top of my viewing screen below the navigation bar. it has a symbol that looks like the add-on tool

The symbol in the middle of the bar is a box with an arrow in it and two small round cylinders on top.
If I right click on the bar and inspect element it returns object#SCB_Bar Then if I copy inner HTML element it gives me this info.

Something that appears on all pages could be a feature of an add-on. You could review your extensions and disable ALL nonessential ones here:

Take nothing for granted because rogue add-ons may use the names of other publishers and products, including Mozilla and Firefox.

Show your tasks in the calendar view - Outlook Web App

Hi,
Is it possible to show your tasks in the calendar view in Outlook Web App 2013 ?
Some explanations of what I want to do :-)
We use Project Server so user can encode their work, this tasks are sync with an Exchange Server 2013 so tasks can be view in Outlook Web App. It's working really fine but we also want that in OWA, tasks are showed in a calendar so users can share what they
have to do.
How can we add the tasks into a calendar or how can an user can easily share what he do ?

Tasks are not listed in
calendar in Outlook/OWA, To view task you will have to go to
Tasks folder or view the task
in To-do bar. You can also see the tasks for the day
in calendar folder if you go to Daily Task List. There are no Add-ins from Microsoft that can add
tasks in the
calendar along with Meetings/Appointments.

I assume you are talking about something other than the iPad?
Is there a sort order above the date column? Clicking on this can switch between Ascending and Descending order.

When I sort by date added in Column View in Finder, how can I make the most recent files appear at the top of the list?(Mavericks)

In 10.8, when I sorted Finder by date added or date created in column view, the most recent files would appear at the top of the list. Currently, this happens as it should in every single view mode EXCEPT column view (which is pretty much the only view I ever use). Currently, I have a folder with over 2000 files in it that date back to 2011, so now I have to scroll for like ten minutes just te get to files that were most recently added. Who in their right mind would want to sort by last modified with the oldest result listed FIRST? Ridiculous. I can't figure this out. Any help?

Thanks for the reply leroydouglas! Unfurtunately this doesn't cause the column to be ordered correctly either. After selecting this option, the files seem to be ordered by label, and the most recently added file is somewhere in the middle of the list. I'd like it to be at the top, and have other files/folders descend in retrochronological order by their add date.
Any other input from the community would be greatly appreciated, even if it's just confirming that this is/is not expected behavior. I'd be super bummed to find out that this IS expected behavior, as it's really counterintuitive and extremely inconvenient.

HT1386 Recently I updated iTunes on my PC and now the "Summary" for syncing my iPhone no longer appears near the top of my iTunes Window. The Summary lists items that I can sync with my iPhone such as "Music, Photos, Apps" etc.

"Summary" lists items I can sync such as "Music, Photos, Apps", etc with drop-down boxes I can use to manage how I sync those items. An icon for my iPhone does appear near the top right corner of the iTunes window; however, when I click on the icon, the sync automatically begins and there is no display of what is syncing or how much space has been used or how much space is left for syncing music, photos, apps, etc. The new iTunes window no longer lists "Devices" on the left-hand side of the window. Has anyone had the same issue?

Offset footer issue... the footers in part of my document appear at the top of the next pages.

I am viewing a document from American Express' Credit Secure, which has several sections, using Adobe Reader XI. Each section has slightly different information in the footer relating to its content. In the problematic section, the footer appears at the top of the following page. The rest of those pages are blank. Is anyone who has experienced this issue able to shed some light? I found out that the floating toolbar appears because the PDF opens in'' Read Mode'', which you can turn off for all future documents by doing this:
* Quit your internet browser
* Launch Acrobat (or Reader)
* Choose Edit>Preferences
* Click on the Internet category on the left
* Deselect “Display in Read Mode by default”
* Click the OK button.
* Relaunch Acrobat
Something important to note, if you have both Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Reader, you need to do the above in both programs (same steps).

How do I get the Adobe PDF navigation bar to automatically appear at the top of my screen again instead of when I move my mouse?

Before I upgraded my computer to Windows 7 and updated Firefox to the latest version, when I opened a PDF document online, the PDF navigation/menu bar would automatically appear at the top of the screen. Now it only appears at the bottom in a blue bar when I move my mouse around.

My emails are appearing along the top of the page in the tool bar area? how do i get rid of this and back to the regular email page

I opened my Mozilla yesterday and noticed my email page format was different then after a second, I noticed all my emails were now appearing along the top of the page in the tool bar area below "Fine Edit View Go ...etc" I'm not sure what happened. PLEASE help me I'm sure it's probably an easy fix, however I don't know how to fix it :)~ Also they are oldest email first, and since I normally save them for 45 days before deleting, I cant seem to get to the most recent email first. Ugh.

This is what happens when you continually open messages in tabs but never close them. Pretty soon all you have are message tabs showing and you have pushed the Inbox off the screen.
Get in the habit of closing message tabs after you read them.
To get out of your situation now, right click one of the tabs and select Close Other Tabs. Then use the x to close the last one.

Anyway the issue is I have iTunes and just updated it to the latest. I also have various Apple devices however my iPhone won't sync with iTunes. I've never heard of this software, and cannot find any reference to it online, which is a bit concerning. What is it supposed to do? There really isn't much need for security software on a Mac.

In Mac OS X 10.7, any applications left open when you shut down or restart are re-opened at startup, and any documents left open in an app when you quit are re-opened when you launch them again. The former can be controlled by unchecking the box in the restart/shutdown alert:
You will need to do this each time you shut down or restart, it won't remember that setting.
The latter can be deactivated by unchecking the box in System Preferences -> General:

That does not sound normal, but I don't use a mouse with my MBP, so I can't provide a solution, other than to try replacing the batteries in the mouse.

HT4059 The last three books I have downloaded at the bottom of the page the bottom parts of y,g,and j are appearing at the top of the next page. Any help or suggestions will be appreciated.

This problem just started. On the last line of each page if the letters y,g,p or j appear in the line the bottom part of each of these letters appears at the top of the next page while being chopped off the actual line it should appear in.

I thought I had found the offending 'app' namely "Songpop."
I regularly use "Songpop" on my phone late at night via my wifi connection.
All enteries on my phonebill are at midnight (even though I have a data allowance it was excluded from allowance). I switched 3G off on Friday, played "Songpop" at midnight and at the exact time I got a "Server Error" message.
I posted a message on the "Songpop" support forum.At first they said this was a problem relating to my ISP.
I have spoken to my ISP and asked if there are connection drops at the time I have been billed (ie to establish if my wifi dropped and 3G kicked in without my knowledge) and have been advised that there aren't any connection drops at that time.

I have the same issue witha slight variation. The app icons that are grayed out and cannot be deleted are DUPLICATES of other apps that I already have. For instance I now have 2 Redbox apps - one works normally, the other cannot be opened or deleted.
