Chinese has vanished as Input Language

Around 24 hours ago, my macbook froze while typing something in simplified Chinese, using the desktop WeChat application. On rebooting, simplified Chinese has now vanished from the toggle menu, but more alarmingly, Chinese (in all its forms) has vanished as an option for Input Language in System Preferences. Macbook has been rebooted on numerous occasions since but no change. Any help would be appreciated.

I think you may need to restore your OS

  • How to get current language bar setting for input language

I am using Flex Builder 3, IE 7 and windows OS. Is there a
way to determine the current input language as set in the "language
bar"? The Capabilities class always returns "en" even after I set
Chinese ("ch") as my input language.

    Hi Dragon Cao,
No need to create any customer exit variable for this ..
You have standard variable CMONTH this displays current month summation. Just restrict your Key figure with this variable.
And in properities of Key figure goto Calculations> Local Calculations> select Summation.
If you want to assign some calday at run time sure you need to create customer exit variable using Step_2 value in enhancements(CMOD).

  • Is B1-750-1527 able to support Chinese Input Language? Didn't see that on the option.

I was not able to find Chinese as input language in the Language and Input option.  Is this tablet not able to support that.

    Chris:
Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Why not just use direct name forwarding, giving them the URL for your published site. To find out what that URL is select the site in iWeb and use the File->Visit Published Site menu option. When you get to the site copy the URL from the browser's URL window and use it.
If you plan on publishing additonal sites but not give them a domain name then the use the following URL: http://web.me.com/youraccount_name/site_foldername/index.html. Then if you publish a second site to the MobileMe account it won't conflict with the domain name site.
That's because when you publish a site to MobileMe an index.html file is created in the iDisk/Web/Sites folder pointing to the index.html file in the last published site's folder. Since the default URL for MobileMe is http://web.me.com/youraccountname/ (the index.html file is not necessary for the default address) it will open the last published site. If you have only one site them there's no problem. If you have multiple sites it can be a problem if you're not using the CNAME process. I prefer the direct forwarding method as it gives me more control.

  • I have friends I like to email in China and in Chinese, however, the recent update to 9.0.1 seems to have blocked my ability to switch input languages from English to Chinese. Is there anyway to fix this to allow me to do input in English and Chinese?

Under the old Firefox browser, I could switch input languages on the fly using the keyboard input option (shift+alt). However, this appears blocked on the new Firefox.

    this help is not useful.
Since the new firefox version 20.0.1, '''no more of my add-ons work''' (except firebug ). They are installed '''but not visible '''(no toolbar, no menus) !!! same for the new add - ons that I installed. I tried everything: to reinstall add-on, to reinstall firefox.
this new version of firefox is really horrible, '''thank you for making a corrective because I cannot work any more with'''

  • How to change System Key Board Default input language(registry entry) using c# code

    Hi All
Please help me to write a small console application which helps to change keyBoard default input language in registry using c# code (Manually we can change  as follows: Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Region and Language\ KeyBoards and languages\Change
    KeyBoards\Default Input Language)
Note: once system rebooted, English language should not be selected by default. Previously selected language has to be retained after system rebooting

  • Add danish as an input language?

    Hello
I'm thinking of buying an unlocked BB8320 in UK and use it in Denmark. Is it possible to add danish as an input language to the phone? My wireless service provider is not on the "BlackBerry Desktop and Device Software Download Sites"  list, in fact no danish service provider is on the list...
I know that I won't be able to use the BIS in Denmark since my service provider doesn't support Blackberry.
Really hope that you can help me so that I can buy my Blackberry. Thank you
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

You can load another carrier's OS on your phone. You just need to see if Danish is a language in one of the multilanguage OS packages for the 8320. Check out the following link for how to load the multilanguage OS on your phone

Just an FYI, without a data plan you won't be able to use many of the BlackBerry features like BlackBerry Messenger, IM Clients, setting up email, etc.

  • Mail dock icon has vanished

Hi, I have a strange problem with my Mail dock icon. It is completely transparent. It is still there, but I can't see it, I see an empty space, with only the 'Mail' text on top of it. I still can click it to open up mail. I already tried to remove it and add a new alias - and rebooted the computer. The Mail icon in the dock has vanished...

Have you tried trashing the mail.plist file from your Home Preferences folder?
Disconnect all peripherals from your computer. Boot from your install disc & run _*Repair Disk*_ from the utility menu. To use the Install Mac OS X disc, insert the disc, and restart your computer while holding down the C key as it starts up.
    Select your language.
Once on the desktop, select Utility in the menu bar.
    Select *Disk Utility.*
Select the disk or volume in the list of disks and volumes, and then click *First Aid.*
    Click _*Repair Disk.*_
    Restart your computer when done.
Repair permissions after you reach the desktop

How can i change the input language through the java itself.
i try this code but it not working
    this.jTextField1.getInputContext().selectInputMethod(Locale.CHINESE)give me some advise..

    Does selectInputMethod return true?

  • Z10 OS 10.2(?) new input languages

Is there any word if the coming OS 10.2 will have Japanese native input language?.
From those on Crackberry who have Beta 10.2: the following new inputs are listed:
several Chinese dilects,  Hinglish, Javanese, Malay, Slovakian, Slovenian, Serbian, Sundanese, Tagalog

This topic seems to be dead. BB can't figure it out that just because they feel that there is not enough market share in Japan doesn't mean that there are'nt people that speak Japanese outside of Japan and do a lot of business with Japan. For a business device this is a huge fail, a global business device should support all languages especially the major ones, just like every other phone manufacturer.

  • International French Input Language

I am a new mac user and would like to setup "International French" as the input language however it does not seem to be supported by apple. Only "Canadian French" and "French" appear in the list in the system preferences. Is there a way to set "International French" without manually reassigning keys of the keyboard to that particular layout?
    Thanks !

  • Can't switch input language while in Premiere Pro

    Hello,
For some reason I cannot switch input language while in Premiere Pro in the language bar. For example I have 2 input languages, English and Chinese (Google Pinyin). While in Premiere, I click the language tray and switch to Google Pinyin, and the icon switches to indicate how it's Chinese input, however in Premiere I can still only type English.
I know Premiere Pro supports multi language input because while at work I'm able to switch to Chinese input. Does anyone know how to fix this? Both my work and home computer uses Windows 7.

Are you talking about creating titles?

  • Input language support software download for the Desktop software

    Phew, that's a mouthful.
Hello! I've got my nifty 8310 with me on a three month trip to China, but it won't recognize any Chinese characters. This is becoming quite a bother, as there have been numerous things I've had to decipher through mainly guesswork.
Could someone point me to a link or website where I could possibly download the software needed to add a new input language (if that's what I need), or perhaps even display language?
    Thanks in advance.
    Peace, love and monkey grease,
    Zack

You may go to th Setup wizard to change the language options as Chinese, doinh so, you then can read chinese of course and have no problem showing english on you device at the same time

  • Add French input language

    Good day,
I would like to add French input language to my BB Pearl 8130. It currently has English (US and UK) installed.
I looked through some of the posts in this forum and I understand that I need to download a file and then install it on the blackberry. Does anyone has a step-by-step guide that would help me accomplish that?  If it helps, I'm on an iMac and I use Pocketmac to sync.
    Thank you.

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

You need to install multilanguage device software on your handheld.
The first check your wireless providers site for multilanguage device software.
It there is no such thing - you can download and install multilanguage device software for your device model but from another wireless operator.
check this link for more info: http://tinyurl.com/y8qs5s

  • Bulgarian as an input language for BlackBerry Q10

Please add Bulgarian, a language of the European community, as an input language for BlackBerry smartphones. It's a great disappointment to find that your home language is not available on your phone, especially as Bulgaria has been part of the EU for more than 6 years now. I hope BlackBerry software developers will show respect towards their, not few, Bulgarian clients and am awaiting of a comment to my post.
