Chinese PO form

Hi,
I have requirement to produce the PO form in Chinese... I am done with the form building & coding. But when I try to test , on the computer screen it just shows me squares where the Chinese characters are present. Also when I try to print only #'s appear where there's Chinese characters. How do I see the Chinese language on the screen, what setting to give to the printer so that it can print Chinese characters.
Thank You,
SB.

Hi
Check whether ur Printer is Capable of Printing Chinese characters first(try Printing from MS word some Chinese Characters) and then Check with your SAP BASIS consultant about The device Drivers and setting he will help out..

    I had tried to set contentType in renderResponse, but itn't work ..

    Bent,
    You can access the database from your Java portlet, just like from any other Java/JSP environment. Yes, you can use JDBC, as well as BC4J.
    The Discussion Forum portlet was built using BC4J, take a look at it's source to see how it was done.
    Also, check out Re: BC4J Java portlet anyone?, it contains a lot of useful information too.

    What characterset are you using on the client? And what database characterset are you using (as you probably would want to store them in the database too)? Are you using 6i in client/server mode or in web?

    Hello,
    We are able to type the character to notepad,MS word using chiangje. but when type in forms 6i, this becomes "?". However, I am able to copy and paste this character from the notepad to the form properly. wanted to ask if there are any other settings needed to input this character properly. This will occur to some characters only. the character is part of the iso10646 character set. we use american_america.utf8 for our nls lang.
    you can try to type "hdbsp" using chianje.
    thanks in advance!

  • Problem On Editing a Smartform in PDF with Chinese

    Hello,
    we are using SRM and in  a specific transaction we are generating a SAP message wich is editing a form for the PO.
    When we want to edit it on SRM in chinese we have problem with a lot of  ### ans everything wich doesn't mean anything.
    To generate the form we are using  function 'CONVERT_OTF'.
    No idea of what to do.
    Thanks for help

    Hi Eileen,
    Since you want to create a chinese PDF form, which font types are you using in the styles? If you are not using CNSONG, please try this font.
    If this still does not work, then you will be needing to install true type fonts supported by adobe through SE73 and use those fonts in the smartstyles.
    Hope this helps you

  • Magic Trackpad with Chinese writing input

    Does the new Magic Trackpad work with OS X 10.6 Chinese writing input as on the Macbook Pro with multi-touch trackpad?
    cheers.

    The trick was to deselect all Chinese-input forms and reboot. Then it was available.
    Just as a reminder, if you use spaces, you'll probably want to:
    " go to: System/Library/Input Methods/, Find ChineseHandwriting.app
    then open system preference, Exposé & Spaces, click on Spaces
    then drag ChineseHandwriting.app into the application assignments
    then set space to Every Space
    Actually, that worked on my MacBook Pro, but it doesn't seem to have worked yet on my Mac Pro. Hmmm... Possibly have to reboot.

  • Multi-language installation disk

    When I insert the installation disk (leopard or snow leopard), there is an option to choose a language. The default is English. Does anyone know if this language option is only for the process of installing the system or is for the system itself which is to be installed? To clarify, for example, if I choose Chinese, the former means that only the installation process is in Chinese, when the system installed will still be in English; the latter means that both the installation process and the system will be in Chinese.
    Thanks!

    It is for the system itself as well.  If you want the OS in English, choose English.  The OS language can also be switched at any time later via preference settings however.

  • Getting chinese charaters from Form using request.getParameter()

    Hi,
    I want my JSPs to be unicode enabled. In HTML forms user can enter any characters like japnese, chinese etc. But on the server side if user enters any such characters i am getting decimal equivalent of that character in the form of &#{decimal equivalent}; in the request.egetParameter() method.
    For ex if I enter 覢覣觇觉訅 then i get "╢&# 35234;&# 35235;&# 35271;&# 35273;&# 35333;" in request.getPrameter().
    I have given the charset "UTF-8" in the header of my JSPs.
    I tried to decode it with URLDecoder but it fails then i tried to read these parameters using reader but it also fails, then
    String para = request.getParameter("para"); // where para is name of received parameter
    byte[] bytes = para.getBytes();
    para = new String(bytes, "UTF-8");
    This also fails.
    Can anyone please tell me how to handel this problem?
    Thanx
    -Vaijayanti

    Hi,
    I have tried this in my jsp and it works for me, assuming that the form is submitted with encoding UTF-8 :
    Submitting JSP :
    <form action="test.jsp">
    <input type="text" name="a">
    </form>
    This is test.jsp :
    <%
    String a = new String (request.getParameter ("a").getBytes (), "UTF-8");
    %>
    Passed Parameter = <%=a%>
    Hope that helps
    Thanks

  • Issue Regarding Chinese characters In Smart Form Print preview..

    Hi All,
    I am working on a smart form development for chinese users. The requirement is the user will login using English & when the delivery will be issued for output, a check will be done on the country of user. If that comes as china then the international version (C) maintained for that customer will come as output.
    Now the problem is even if I login using EN or ZH the below issue I am facing always.
    In the database I can view the details in chinese properly by logging in as ZH. During debugging also i checked the data from table ADRC & MAKT is coming in chinese properly. But when i gave the values to be output in SmartForm, it is showing the characters like how it will look if I login using EN & view the table contents.
    When i view the data by changing character set as Simplified Chinese then in table i can see chinese texts properly. But when the same data goes to print preview it shows the chinese characters like as it would appear when character set is Unicode or West European..
    Please help..
    Thanks in advance.

    Dear,
    print preview and physical printout are two different things.
    PrintPreview:
    The data stream will be sent to the frontend and rendered with windows-fonts etc (for backend prints a simulation).
    Printout:
    Frontend: You need a printer, that maps the character, you have to use SAPWIN or SAPWINCF when using cascading fonts. The rendering will be done in the windows spooler.
    Backend: Your printer needs also a mapping (look like something with UTF8). Also the printer needs the fonts installed because the rendering will be done in the printer!
    If you use the pdf-printer in SAP, you need to upload all necessary fonts (TTF) for the pdf-composer. Also you need a unicode pdf printer for that.
    Regards,
    Christian

  • Problem inputting Chinese characters in oracle forms

    Hi,
    We have a Chinese character: UCS2=7A4F (UTF8=E7A98F) If we try to input it to a control in a Forms application using chanjie (key sequence h-d-b-s-p) input method, it becomes "?", but if we input it using same method in word or notepad, it shows correctly and can then be copy-and-paste to oracle forms.
    Is there some sort of implicit conversion of Chinese character input done by Oracle Forms controls such that it is unable to decode this character properly? Or is there some sort of setup that can be done to bypass this problem?
    Any help would be greatly appreciated, hopefully as soon as possible.
    Thank you very much.

    How do you switch back and forth from Chinese and english in forms and reports 6i? Tried changing regional settings in the control panel. Tried changing registry entry for nls_lang from american and chinese, none of them work! Can anyone help?
    Chinese version of forms and reports 6i is installed. Only way I can change between english and chinese is to keep installing the version I want. Is there any other way?

  • Printing chinese characters on a Zebra printer using Adobe Interactive Form

    Hello,
    We have created an Adobe Interactive Forms in SAP with some words in English and another one in simplified chinese. We have defined a Zebra printer in SPAD with the AZPL203 driver.
    When we print the form in the zebra printer some of the chinese characters are printed and some of them no.
    Has anyone faced the same problem?
    Thanks a lot

    Hi,
    Welcome you post on the forum.
    However, this is not the right forum for you. It is only for SAP Business One user. Please search entire forums first to find which one is more proper.
    However, this issue may not be related to SAP at all. Search on the web would be better.
    Thanks,
