Chinese (Traditional) OHJ

We are producing OHJ files in a variety of languages. With all European languages and Japanese we have resolved all issues and are able to launch the OHJ with correctly translated browser window, toc, and content.
With Chinese (Traditional) we are able to display correctly translated browser window and toc, but not content.
Even though the text elements of the html pages have been translated, and display fine when viewed individually through IE, they display as 'blocks/boxes' within the OHJ.
We have tried declaring the encoding of 'gb2312' within the html of each page and within the .hs file but this does not resolve the problem.
Any thoughts/suggestions gratefully received.

Does the JVM you are running in have the proper fonts installed, with Chinese glyphs? And are the HTML pages either referencing those fonts or (better) using the logical fonts?

that multiple languages is supported in Oracle Java Portlet by creating MyProviderBundle classes for different languages. I tried the example and works.
Now, I am facing the problem that since my ultimate languages supported in Portal are Chinese(Simplified), Chinese(Traditional) and English, I need to create 3 resource bundle java classes namely MyProviderBundle, MyProviderBundle_zhs and MyProviderBundle_zht, with the latter 2 which I am not sure the namings are correct or not.
Also, when I saved the file MyProviderBundle_zhs with some Simplified Chinese characters and open the file again, the characters become garbage.
Are anyone out there experience similar situation before and can share your experience?

How to download Chinese (Traditional) Dictionary in iPad Air

From iPad Air Technical Specification, I found:
Dictionary support (enables predictive text and autocorrect)

How can I download the Chinese (Traditional) Dictionary in iPad Air and how can I Define highlighted Chinese (Traditional) characters and phrases and / or Translate them into English?
(What I tried was to open Safari, highlight a few words and select Define, then tap Manage. But the displayed Dictionaries do not include Chinese (Traditional).)

Simplified Chinese was a rough re-design of Tradtional Chinese about 1954 by the Communist Party of PRC for political reason, while Traditional Chinese has been developed and refined for 1,500 years. Simplified Chinese is simplistic comparing to the rich context of Traditional one. Simplified Chinese has phrases invented and used specifically by the Communist Party of PRC with words or even meanings twisted while Traditional Chinese embraces a rich knowledge base of wisdom embedded. Thus, when a dictionary of Chinese is to be referred, Tradtional Chinese is my only reliable and trusted source of reputable reference. Simplified Chinese is something similar to Auusie English, Singlish and Hollywood English - good for communication among peers themselves.

[IDCS2,Win] Chinese Traditional can not be shown correctly.

I add a line:
kWildFS, k_zhTW, kSDKDefStringsResourceID + index_zhTW
in kStringTableRsrcType, and add a fr file, the contents are:
resource StringTable (kSDKDefStringsResourceID + index_zhTW)

I found my Chinese Traditional string became "選擇分類", after posted. please note this is a Chinese Traditional string.

Chinese Traditional Language Pack for iPod Nano?

With my 500+ chinese songs on my iPod, it is near impossible to find a song without sorting methods. Is there a chinese traditional language pack that I can install on my iPod which provides sorting?

K1 - Problem to set language to Chinese traditional hong kong

Dear lenovo,
my k1 is default with Chinese traditional (Taiwan) and this happens the Market comes with software with Taiwan. since I am locate in Hong Kong, could you tell how to change the language to Chinese Traditional Hong Kong. As I can,t currently download those software specific for Hong Kong region.

Chinese Traditional (Hong Kong) Language Pack

Recently installed the Chinese Traditional (Hong Kong) Language Pack onto the computer running Windows 7 Enterprise version with 'New ChangJie 2010' input method, but there are errors/problems. After inputting 1 or more strokes, I am unable to select
the required word/character, even after hitting 'space bar' or 'down arrow'. There is no such problem for the Chinese Simplified PinYin input method. What is wrong?

Displaying Locale Name as Chinese(Simplified) or Chinese (Traditional)

Locale class returns a name for the locale appropriate to be displayed to the user using getDisplayLanguage method. But this returns "Chinese(China)" for zh_CN locale, and "Chinese(Taiwan)" for zh_TW locale. Is there a way to get "Chinese (Simplified)" and "Chinese (Traditional)" respectively, instead?
I am using Java SE 5 and displaying each locale's display name in its own localized version.

What you are getting right now is correct for those 2 locales - the 2 parts of the locale are language and region.
If you want the script identifier instead you probably need to look at ICU4J - here, for instance:

How to enable "Change characters to Chinese Traditional" and "Change characters into Chinese Simplified" ?

I am a Taiwanese and usually use the feature of "Change characters into Chinese Traditional" or "Change characters into Chinese simplified" . Before I update Pages/Numbers/Keynotes , these features works well . I can transfer Chinese characters into Traditional or Simplified in the menu of Pages -> services .
But After I upgreade OS to Mavericks , and Pages to 5.0 , Numbers to 3.0 and keynotes to 6.0 , the features are removed by Apple. I just call Apple expert service in China and they said : The features confirmed to been removed .
Is there any expert can teach me recover the feautre manually or down-grade to old version of Pages/Numbers/Keynotes ?
I need the features ..... Please help !!!!!!

Why does Microsoft New Phonetic IME 10.1 for Chinese (Traditional) not work with Firefox 5 on Windows 7?

When I use the standard out-of-box New Phonetic IME 10.1 for Chinese (Traditional), I can only input the following sequence of characters, regardless of the key(s) I press:
ㄅㄉˇˋㄓˊ˙ㄚㄞㄢ
So, even continuously pressing the same key will produce the above sequence of characters.
This problem does not affect Internet Explorer 9 or any other programs that run on Windows 7.

The new Chinese Traditional Stroke keyboard in Cya...

Just picked up Cyan update for my Lumia 925 and was glad to see new keyboard option of Chinese Traditional Stoke in the Settings. It turns out that the new keyboard not only that it refuses to show up when trying to switch input from screen keyboard (US keyboard), but also after a few tries the phone simple says "Goodbye..." and reboot itself. A few more test drives showed that the Chinese Triditional Quick keyboard also have the same issue. I'm relunctant to reset my phone and loose all messages (SMS and Whatsapp alike) just to try if these keyboards work from fresh installation. Sure I'm fine without these input method, but does anyone experiences similar or any tip to fix it?

Also discovered a fix to this bug, refer to the original article here.
Solution: install the Chinese Simplified (QWERTY) keyboard, which should be around 57mb. After a reboot this fixes the issue of the keyboard not appearing. You can then disable the Chinese simplified keyboard.

IOS5.0.1 & Chinese Traditional handwriting, crash

After I upgarded to iOS5.0.1, whenever I use Chinese Traditional handwriting, it crashes.... pls. help!!!!

You're not alone. I just updated my iPhone 4S to iOS 5.0.1, and when I go to Settings>General>Usage, the spinning "busy" indicator is visible in the "Storage" window for a few seconds, then it crashes and goes back to the home screen. Must be a bug. I hope Apple adds this to the fix list for iOS 5.0.2. QA seems to be slipping at Apple.

Problem while importing Chinese traditional - ZF language in ECC system

eHello All,
I am in process of importing Chinese traditional language - ZF to one of our ECC system. For installing I am following below steps:
1. Executed SMLT
2. Classify --> Saved ZF - Chinese traditional language
3. Imported support package.
4. Then Select language u201CChinese trad.u201D And Goto Language --> Special Actions --> Import Support Packages
while i am doing 4th step and importing support packages, For some of the old support packages the status is "Not found" as they are not there at OS level. (Ex: The status "Not found" is there for SP SAPKH60001 - SP 01 for SAP_APPL 6.00. While our system is at SAP_APPL version 604).
While i am deselecting this component it's giving me following message:
You can only exclude files from the import at the end of the list.
The Support Package import is incomplete. Continue the import with the missing
files.
Can anyone please do let me know what has to be done to resolve this???
