Chinese Word list Update 1.2 released on October 31, 2012, but it won't update my MBPr
One more time, I have learned that Apple has just released Chinese Word list Update 1.2 on October 31, 2012
For unknown reason, this update, similar to version 1.1 releaed on October 5, 2012, won't update my 15 inch MBP Retina running OSX 10.8.2
I have managed to get chinesewordlistupdate.pkg version 1.1 for manual install from http://reviews.cnet/com/macfixit
But when i phone Apple Tech support, they said this update is not available for download and manual installl. Indeed, it's available!
So can any friend here point me to download chinesewordlistupdate.pkg version 1.2 please, so that i can manually install it

On a software name Appfresh, it alerted me to update my MBPr 15 inches running latest OSX 10.8.2, with Chinese Word List Update 1.2. When I clicked on Software Pdate, app Store return No update available.
My system have Chinese Word List Update 1.0 installed, and on October 5, 2012, Chinese Word List Update 1.1 was released by Apple, as alerted through AppFresh. However, this update never get updated on m system. I have to manually download chinesewordlistupdate.pkg from reviews.cnet.com/macfixit and install it manually. By doing so, I have Chinese Word List Update 1.1 on my system.
The same problem occurred again today on November 5, 2012, where Chinese Word List Update is released by Apple. again, it fail to update from Software Update menu.
Can you please:
1. Explain why this problem occurred. This is so annoying.
2. Advise me how can I get this Chinese Word List Date to update to version 1.2. Can you please send me the chinesewordlistupdate.pkg for version 1,2 so that I can manually install it on my system?
3. How can I prevent similar problem with he subsequent version?
Why Apple don't make this update standard as other update?

Apple has released Chinese Word list update 1.6 on May 6, 2013. It is a 105 kb update file. I have Chinese word list updte from 1.0, 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, and 1.5 installed on my Mac. So I think I need it.
But many days passed, no Chinese Word list Update 1.6 is being installed automatically on my Mac 15 inches with retina display.
Where on earth can I get this chinesewordlistupdate.pkg file to manually update my Mac to 1,6?
And I really don't understand why Apple release this update in this kind of ashin many times and it is very anoying. I have contacted Apple support many times, but there is no clear response and they said there is no such kind of update.

I think you are mistaken about needing it. Since you do not write in Chinese, it will not be of any more use to you than were the earlier Chinese word list updates you have posted about here in the past. Nor can I imagine that anyone in these forums will be able to help you get it, any more than they could the last time.

Chinese Word list Update 1.5 not downloaded and installed automatically
On my Macbook Pro with Retina display 15 inches running OSX 10.8.3, an update called "Chinese Word list Update 1.5" show up on Update available list in Appfresh application. But when I click on install, Mac APp Store open to search for that update, but it end up with "No update available"
When I click Software Update from Apple menu, the same thing with No update available occurred.
On my system information, I have Chinese Wrd list Update 1.0, 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1nd 1.4 installed. But I can't get this 1.5 Chinese Word list Update to automatically downloaded and installed as in the previous version

Perhaps it would help if you would do a few things to make sure the Apple update system knows that your machine needs to do Chinese. This includes a) check the boxes to activate the simplified and traditional input sources in system preferences/language & text/input sources, b) download the additional 10 chinese fonts which Apple provides only when you try to enable them in Fontbook, and c) download the additional chinese voices which Apple provides only when you check their boxes in system preferences/speech/system voice/customize.
It might also help to temporarily switch the OS interface to Chinese and then check for software updates. -
Chinese Word List Update 1.7: Please help me update it manually
Apple has released Chinese Word list update on June 7, 2013. This is a small 118 KB update that normally will update itself automatically without any ability for user to control the update.Normally, it will be updated in the backgroud in 7-8 days after released.
I have Chinese Word list updat 1.0, 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, and 1.6 on my system but this time, Chinese Word list Update 1.7 never update my system. I would like to get assistance from our frieds here to send me the files that can be copied from your Mac to allow me to update it manually.
To make sure that you have Chinese Word list Update 1.7 on your system, do the following:
1, Click on Apple Menu - Abot This Mac - More Info - System Report
2. In System Report, navigate to Software - Installations
3. Scroll down the software list, then see whether you have Chinese Word list Update 1.7 installed on your system
If you have Chinese Word list Update on your system, please copy and send me the following files for me to manual update my system:
1. In FInder, click Go and enter /private/var/db/receipts
2. copy all files: com.apple.chinesewordlistupdate.X-XXX.bom
and all com.apple.chinesewordlistupdtae.X-XXX.plist
also com.apple,chinesewordlist update.bom
and com.apple.chinesewordlistupdate.plist
3. In Finder, navigate to folder: Macintosh HD/usr/share/mecabra/updates
This is a hidden folder, so the Go command will not work. To get there, use Finder to navigate to this folder.
If you cannot see it, try enter this command in Terminal
defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles YES
and you can navigate to Macintosh HD/usr/share/mecabra/updates
After you have copied the following files listed in 4, you can get back to default setting bu entering
defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles NO
4. Copy files: com.apple.pkg.Inputmethod.SCIM.bundle
and com.apple.pkg.inputmethod.TCIM.bunble
Please send all these files to me, and I can put them into respective locations ro get my system, to update to Chinese Word list Update 1.7
Now for anybody who want to complete the update manually:
a. Put all the above files in its respective location
b. Open file Macintosh HD/Library/Recipts/Installhistrory.plist using plist editor software like PlistEdit Pro
This folder is hidden, please use the above terminal command to show it
c. Find Chinese Word list Update and note down the detail of keys there
d. Ceate a new key and enter all information you have copied in c., change version to 1.7
Done!

I had uninstalled iMovie 10 after it was updated and decided to reinstall it but it won't update, iMovie 10 update is stuck at installed in my App Store account. iTunes tells me my iPod needs to be updated (from 4.1 to 4.3.5) but when I click update it says "The version of iTunes is the current version". What's wrong?
You need to update to iTunes 10.x. However, to do that you need to ugrade your computer's OS to at least 10,5,8. That is a paid upgrade.

Is it perhaps downloading the update?
Have you tried rebooting the iPad? Hold down the home and power/sleep buttons for 10 to 15 seconds or until the Apple logo appears. This should reboot the iPad. Then try the update again.
If all else fails, you can try to update through iTunes on a computer. -

The AppStore.app couldn't find the updates about Mo...Lion. Just iPhoto,
and iPhoto couldn't update too, because it depends on osx 10.8.2!!!Do you have one of those newer Macs which require a special update? From other posts, it seems there are now three different OS versions/updates - each one of specific Macs.
I'd call Apple and give them your serial number as well as - important - your build number (click on the Apple and About this Mac; under Mac OS X, click on the numbers until you get to build .......)

It just won't update. I have tried restarting it, I even went to my usage and I have 1.6 GB avaliable. I deleted it off of my settings and it won't go away. I have tried everything so please help me. I have no idea what else to do.
