Chipset Drivers for C855D-S5320 using AMD E2-1800 processor

Rebuilding to Windows 7. Install went fine but know in need of Chipset Drivers for the AMD E2-1800 processor with built in graphics. Scoured Toshiba but could only find Intel drivers. Similar luck at AMD. Any suggestions where to locate drivers?

Since they share the part-number family (PSCBQU), the same drivers should work.

  • AGP Chipset drivers for Discovery motherboard

I have a Packard bell idelsign 180 with a discovery MS6506 v1.0 motherboard. which is running with Intel 845 chipset. It is currently not loading up correctly - the screen goes black and then eventually recovers during startup.  the error is something to do with graphics accelerator. ATI, who make the video care have suggested that I need to update the chipset drivers for the Intel AGP Controller, which are currently shown as North Bridge Chipset drivers dated 30/7/2001, but I can not find the right drivers. I have had a look on the intel site, and the MSI site, but could not find anythinf suitable.
Any assistance would be gratefully received.
Thank you in advance for your help....

    Hello to you both.
As suggested I removed the graphics card and booted up the pc. Right away there were 8 beeps and a gap, followed by 2 beeps and a gap, followed by one beep. From this point it went quiet, so i switched the pc off, reinstalled the card and booted it up again.
During the boot up sequence with the card installed there was one beep immediately after he power button was pressed and before the packard bell logo came up, and another beep between the packard bell logo and microsoft xp logo. It got most of the programs loaded before the screen went black and then took a few minutes to recover and finish loading up. during the loadup stage the cursor was accompanied by an "eggtimer". just before the screen went black the cursor and eggtimer were replaced with a larger eggtimer on its own. - I don't know if that is significant?
Once up and running an error message came up saying that "vpu recover had reset the graphics accelerator as was no longer responding to the graphic driver"......
If the above does not point to an obvious fault and you think there is a chance it could still be the chipset drivers, please could you advise me as to the best ones to use. I have looked on both the intel site and the MSI site but could not find anything appropriate.
Thank you again for your help with this problem.

  • System & Chipset drivers for Mainboard MS-6743?

    Hi,
I have recently purchased a new MSI Mainboard MS-6743  from ebay, but it did not include the System & chipset driver software.
I was told I could download the drivers from the MSI website, but when I search for MS-6743 it returns a result , item not found?

This chart states that it is an 865 GM2 board ( look for it  under " micro Atx)
    http://www.msi.com.tw/html/products/mainboard/mb_htm/mb_comparison.htm
But it does not have a hyperlink
It does look to be that all the 865 G boards use the same system and chipset drivers . Pick your board from this list and download
    http://www.msi.com.tw/program/support/download/dld/spt_dld_list.php?kind=1&CHIP=1&NAME=Socket%20478%20(Intel%20P4)
( just be careful and double check to make sure that this is your board before you download and install )

  • Recommendations for new mobo using AMD processor

I am still successfully using my current computer built in 2008 with a K9A2 Platinum mobo. It has been a remarkably reliable mobo with literally no major problems over the years and the mobo has been easily expandable to whatever desktop hardware I have used with it. So I have been very impressed with MSI hardware technology.
But its time for a new modern mobo and computer system for me which will be a bit faster than what I am currently using.  Considering how reliable the K9A2 platinum has been I am looking at buying a modern MSI mobo using one of the latest and best AMD processors. I am not a gamer, or even an overclocker, but I do want a flexible and reliable system to use. I am a programmer so that things like compilation/link/build speed and program number-crunching execution speed are important for me and of course absolutely good reliability.
I have been away from the latest computer hardware arena for a number of years, except to buy an occasional add-on for my current system, so I have to educate myself on the latest and greatest being offered, as well as new terminology. I have the money to spend for the best technologies in desktop use, and I enjoy putting together a top-flight system for what my own use case as a programmer. My computer will end up be multi-boot ( I use BIBM ) running mainly Windows 7 and/or Windows 8, as well as a smattering of Linux distros ( Suse, Fedora, Ubuntu mainly ).
I already have a top-end Lian-Li full-tower chassis, a PC-79, that can house most any type mobo, and has room to spare for almost anything I want to do with my new system.
Recommendations or suggestions about the latest MSI mobos using AMD CPUs would be welcome. With all the new technology out there it is hard to know what works well, is reliable, and is extensible for any new hardware, especially faster CPUs, in the future.

FM2+ CPU development is at the forefront. They are APUs and are meant as a unique processing unit that can perform better in terms of integrated Graphics than anything that Intel has to offer. Their current CPU performance is not competitive. So if you want raw CPU power, then the FX8 series is the better option.
Here are the benchmark tests as performed by chip.de who apply a consistent test for most current CPU/APU. http://www.chip.de/bestenlisten/Bestenliste-Desktop-Prozessoren--index/detail/id/693/

No socket or chipset will be out there forever. Just look at the frequent changes Intel makes and how AMD has been doing the same. So one has to make a decision on the best compromise available at the time and commit.
I can see the AM3+/AM3 CPUs are faster than the FM2+/FM2 APUs. Seems strange then that AMD would stop improving the AM3 line and go entirely with the FM2 line for the future. I understand graphics are big for gamers but still there are serious programmers/workers who want speed and also want to save a little money by buying AMD instead of Intel. I admit it looks like the higher end Intel CPUs are the speed champions, and I can certainly afford them if I want, but I have always gone for the friendlier AMD processors and mobos. Maybe I am just foolish since, unlike many who buy AMD for its overclocking ability, I am just looking for speed and reliability.
Thanks for all the information !

  • Via Hyperion chipset drivers for K&t266 Pro2 MS 6380

    hi all
Having recently re installed XP to new hard drive thought I should update the VIA chipset drivers so have installed 4in1 Hyperion 451v.
Am having some lock up problems transfering files from 1 hard drive to another on the same IDE channel.
Power supply problem identified and new Antec on the way.
Looking for some opions guidance around standard XP drivers vs Via and as this is quite old board should I be using retro Via drivers for stability.
    Views, thoughts experience appreciated.

Some kt266 chipsets requires the VIA latency patch.
Fixes file transfer issues, corruption and stability issues.
Improves PCI bus transfer rates and crackling sound issues.
you might want to look into this.

  • Which Chipset Drivers for my MSI K9N6PGM2-V2 mobo?

Hi - I was over on the nVidia website looking for the latest chipset drivers and video drivers for my MSI K9N6PGM2-V2 motherboard.  I am a bit confused about which chipset drivers and video drivers I should use.  Here's the MSI link to my motherboard stats:
    http://www.msi.com/index.php?func=proddesc&maincat_no=1&cat2_no=&cat3_no=&prod_no=1863
Question 1 - Can you provide a link to the nVidia website to the correct chipset drivers?
Question 2 - Can you provide a link to the nVidia website to the correct video drivers?
I am about to move my PC's components to a new tower, in addition to reformatting and partitioning my hard drive.  I want to make sure I have the latest drivers.
    Thanks
    Joe

The latest drivers appear to be the ones on the MSI site here: http://www.msi.com/index.php?func=downloaddetail&type=driver&maincat_no=1&prod_no=1863
The only drivers I found on the nVidia website are much older: http://www.nvidia.com/object/nforce_nf4_winxp32_8.26_11.09.html

  • Win 7 Pro chipset drivers for dc 7100

    Hi
I have a dc 7100 small form factor desktop running XP Pro. I wish to upgrade to Win 7 Pro but Windows Advisor says my chipset is not compatable. When I go to the HP download site for drivers the only drivers on the list are dated 2005. Where can I get the correct ones?
    Thanks,
    Steve

    Hi, Steve:
Below is the W7 chipset driver for your PC.
    http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&ProdId=861&DwnldID=20019&keyword=Chipset+inst...
Neither the dc7100 nor the dc7600 are supported by HP for W7 (although the dc7600 runs W7 just fine).
So, you will not find any W7 drivers provided by HP for either model.
The dc7100 has a problem if you have the onboard graphics.  It is not W7 capable. That is why the upgrade advisor is reporting the chipset is incompatible. It means the video chipset is incompatible and it is.
    You will never have Aero.
Install the above chipset driver first and reboot.
I have a a workaround to get the onboard graphics to work so you can change the video resolution and have graphics acceleration:
Download and run this Vista driver from the nc6120 notebook.  You will probably get an unsupported operating system error. Close out of any error windows.
    http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=US&swItem=ob-472...
Go to the device manager and expand the display adapters section.  Click on the standard vga adapter.
Click on the driver tab. Click on update driver. Select the Browse my computer for software method, and browse to the installation folder that was created when you ran the file.
That will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp34749. Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked and the driver should install.
Upon reboot, you should have decent graphics but no Aero.
If you want to run all the graphics features of Windows 7, you will need to purchase a W7 capable PCIe x16 low profile video card that includes a low profile bracket that will work with the 245W P/S in your PC.

Read the ReleaseNotes_9.4.0.1026.htm file inside of the ZIP package.
Just install the driver and don't worry about other things.
It's a "generic" one and includes the libraries for most of the chipsets (including yours).

    Greetings,
I need to develop GPIB drivers (using the NI GPIB card) for the RTOS-32 operating system (by On-Time). I am using Borland C 5.51 as the compiler. • How can I install drivers for bootcamp without using the mac install dvd?

I installed windows 7 in bootcamp on my mac. I put the drivers on a FAT format usb stick so they should be installed while the windows installation was running. The most things are working on windows like the i-sight-camera. The problem is that the microphone doesn´t work so I look for a solution for 3 days, no result. Normally, you use the mac install dvd to install the necessary drivers but windows doesn´t want to read the dvd. And yes, you can download the drivers on the apple platform, but that doesn´t help me at all.
Thanks in advance. (sorry for the language)

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
You didn't install Boot Camp drivers. It looks like you downloaded these drivers > http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3173
Those drivers are only for the graphic card and Bluetooth, not anything else, so you have to download the Boot Camp drivers on OS X and install them in Windows

  • How to I get Graphic Drivers for Windows 7 using Bootcamp on my Late 2011 17" MacBook Pro?

I just received my new 17" Late 2011 MacBook Pro to replace my older model MBP.  I had configured the older MBP with two 500Gb SSD drives by replacing the original hard drive and the DVD with 500Gb SSDs.  Works fine.  I then simply installed these two SSDs from the older MBP on the new machine.  OSX works fine, after a few software updates.  Likewise Win 7 Pro is installed on a Boot Camp partition with the drivers from the Mid 2010 MBP.  Windows seems to run fine after the expected reactivation, but the graphics are obviously not running at full resolution, I am certain this is due to the differing graphics card between the Mid 2010 MBP and the Late 2011 MBP.
Apple does not show any drivers download for the new MBP, I am running BootCamp software version 4.0.
Although I could certainly do it, I don't want to spend the time to run a new installation of Windows 7 and reinstall all the myriad windows updates.  It would take hours.
I know that the new installation process takes a step to download the BootCamp drivers, but how can you reinitiate this process after installing BootCamp as I have without progressing through the whole installation process?
    Any help appreciated.....

"At least 16 GB of free space on the disk onto which you’re installing for 32-bit, or 20 GB for 64-bit (for Microsoft Windows and Windows-based applications)."
That's what Apple proposes in here Boot Camp: System requirements for Microsoft Windows
Personally I would double these amounts and add to that the diskspace needed for your Windows games.

  • Multitouch drivers for Windows 8 using Bootcamp?

    Macbook Pro
    Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013
Processor  2.3 GHz Intel Core i7
    Memory  16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Graphics  Intel Iris Pro 1024 MB
Is there any drivers that will enable multitouch on Windows 8 using bootcamp? The problem I often run into occurs when I attemp to click with one finger and move a file with another finger. On OSX this works flawlessly making it so simple to move around files.

Did you download and install the Windows Support software in accordance with the Boot Camp instructions? If so, you have a Boot Camp Control Panel icon ion your Windows task bar. Open the control panel and set your trackpad options how you want them configured.

  • MOVED: K9N Neo V3 Chipset Drivers for Windows 7

This topic has been moved to Windows 7.
    https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=123975.0

i checked for usb legacy options. no such luck.
my next step will be to use the windows 7 sdk kit which comes with xperf, xperfview and xbootmgr. these tools should be able to assist me with doing a trace during the boot process.
however if my theory is correct.... the issue doesn't happen during the windows driver boot process but before....
so i will try to do a trace and see what it finds. but in any case, anyone have suggestions on how to do a bios memory dump? preferably while the system is still running or while it is frozen before the post screen.
i really really hate giving up on technical problems. my only other option is to either return the usb drive for warranty and hope i get a new drive with an updated firmware or buy a new usb drive...
