Chirping when charger is connected what is it?

iiPad 2 has chirping sound when plugged into charger, and battery charge icon shows AC wall plug symbol. The chirping eventually stops and the iPad charges. Is the wall charger having a problem?

It should only chirp once. If it's doing it a lot then your connection might not be good, you can see if it's not fully seated in your device. Or there could be an issue with your charger.

Right under the volume rocker switch is a little switch that can be either rotation lock or all mute. Perhaps if you have it muted then it doesn't even give the charging chirp

First off, I suggest using the charger that came with the iPad and plug that into a good wall outlet. USB ports often do not supply enough power for efficient charging on an iPad.

Chirps when charging is this normal

Last night while charging my Ipad it would make a little chirping like beep periodically. I eventually turned down the volume so as not to hear it.
What is the deal.

Yes, it sounds like you were not using a wall outlet and supplied USB charger... the power voltage was fluctuating and causing the chirps on and off...
although "some" powered USB hubs seem to work, they take twice as long to charge and can run into this issue... best option is to charge using wall outlet...yes this is a pain and I've sent feedback...

idk why but my macbook pro runs slower when its charging for example im in windows 7 using bootcamp playing nintendo ds on it it runs perfectly when the charger is not connected but then the emulator starts running slower when i connect the charger and the computer heads up my computer is on a table so i know my computer ventilation is working normally idk why my computer getting so slow and hot when i connect the charger it gets so hot that it turns off by itself well it goes to sleep mode can anyone tell me why is that thanks in advance.

External speakers buzz when charger is connected

My Cambridge Sound works speakers have a continual buzz, but only when my computer is plugged into its power source.
Any solutions?

I have the same problem with speaker buzz in my mini. I changed from Cambridge Soundworks speakers to KRK Rokit 5, but the buzz persists. I took my mini to an Apple store, but was told there was no problem. I doubt that one could hear the buzz in the noisy store.

Iphone vibrates instead of chirps when docked

What is the right way to connect the adapter to my macbook when charging?

what is the right way to connect the adapter to my macbook when charging.
is it connect the magsafe connector first before plugging the adapter to the outlet? or the way around? or both ways will do?
what if i'm using a surge protection with a on/off button, can I just turn the surge protector extension on and off without disconnecting the magsafe connector and adapter plug from my laptop when i'm not using it?

If there is any arcing it may be because the adapter is dirty. It is best to plug in the wall wart then attach the magsafe to the MacBook. As GfulDedFan mentioned this reduces the chance of power surging the MacBook. I have done mine this way since he day I bought it and have never had an arc. I keep it clean to reduce the chance of this happening. The following will help in the care of your supply.

on the top right hand corner where the date and time and sound and wifi and battery symbols are, i have my battery symbole set up to show me how much battery life i have by how full the battery icon is, but how instead there is a little "x" icon int the battery symbol and i can only use my mac when the charger is connected, but it still says it isnt charging........***

I have the same problem.. X icon.. Battery indicator LEDs are not showing anything.. we might think battery is bad.. but while booting with AC adapter.. if I remove the plug.. it boots and work with battery fine.. but if I reconnect the AC adapter it goes to sleep mode or maybe just LCD shuts off.. I'm sure of it.. im suing mid 2009 version and I'm gettin a 3 1/2 hrs backup until yesterday.. I was replacing corsair RAM 8 GB one and for the battery connecter.. I use flat screw driver to lift it.. saw a tiny spark then.. thinking thats the cause of all this.. physically everything is fine.. except I need AC adapter to start the laptop..
