Hi Using iPad,
Can you give any download link for any iPad chm reader app user gide demo / video? As I am using any apple product for 1st time.

Have you tried searching in your country's app store for apps that do that (e.g. try searching for 'CHM reader', and if you find anything seeing if the developers have anything on their websites and/or tried contacting them ?

    Can you post the pinout for the K1's connector?  If Lenovo isn't going to allow the K1's users to purchase an USB host cable they should at least provide the information so that one can be created.

    Not sure if this is a game or app or not...it shows nothing about it and explains nothing about it...but it is there on the demo video on the apple website for the add to upgrade to ios 5...it shows the user dragging threads and the little icon monster at the bottom of the screen catches them

    Yea thats a game called "Cut the Rope" and it can be found in the App Store for $0.99 or you can buy the Lite version for free.

    If you can find an iPhone running iOS5 and those are the specs for iOS5, there is no reason it should not work.
    If you want a more current version of iOS or a more current device, a Windows computer is always an option at significantly less cost. 
    Granted, there is no requirement to have a computer to use an iPhone.

    The language of the User Guide, sample books and menu are set during the inital setup process of your Reader Wi-Fi. If the language is changed to a different language after the initial setup, only the menu would change to the new language. To change all of these to a different language, you will need to run the initial setup process again. Follow these steps to do a Factory Initialize (Hard reset) and set the appropriate language:
    With the Reader Wi-Fi on, on the bottom of the device, press and hold the power button until the Device Shutdown screen appears.
    In the Device Shutdown screen, press Yes.
    Press the power button again to turn the Reader Wi-Fi back on.
    While the screen displays opening book....., simultaneously press and hold down the Next and Back buttons.
    Allow the Homescreen to fully load (Loading... should no longer flash in the top left corner of your screen) and then
    do the following button sequence while still holding down the Next and Back buttons:
    Release - Press - Release the Back button only and then Release the Next button.
    In the Would you like to execute Factory Initialize screen, press Yes.
    Press the power button again to turn on the Reader Wi-Fi. The Reader Wi-Fi will be set to factory settings.
    Turn the Reader Wi-Fi back on. The initial setup process will begin.
    NOTE: This procedure assumes you want English as the language. These steps can be done for any language.
    In the Menu Language screen, select English.
    Your reader will now be set for English. Follow the rest of the on screen steps to complete the setup.

  • I am unable to synch music from selected playlists in my iTunes library onto my new iPod Classic, despite meticulously following the User Guide.

    I just purchased an iPod Classic, and after making sure I had the latest ver. of iTunes on my Intel MacMini, printed out the User Guide and carefully began learning how to operate the iPod. My first step was to ensure I had manual control (vs. auto synch) because I want only selected songs and playlists on the iPod, not my whole iTunes Library.
    On pg. 24 of the Guide is the topic "Synching music from selected playlists onto iPod Classic." Just what I wanted. OK, I selected iPod "in the source list" (aside: Shouldn't it be "in the device list?" I dispair of imprecision). This brought up the iPod Summary page, showing I had selected Open iTunes when connected and Manually manage music and videos. Next I clicked on the Music tab.
    This presented me with Synch Music next to an empty check box. Below it, and entirely grayed out was:
    Entire music library (showing a checked box)
    Selected Playlists, artists, albums and genres (next to an unchecked box).
    There's also a third grayed out item: Include music videos that is checked.
    When I selected Synch Music, I got the message: "Are you sure you want to removed existing mlusic, movies and TV shows from the iPod and synch with this iTunes LIbrary?   I selected Cancel because:
    1. The grayed option Entire Music Library is checked, not mly preferred option of Selected playlists, artists, albums and genres. .
    2. I can't find anywhere in the User Guide how to "Select the Playlists" I want to synch to my iPod. At present all I have in iTunes is my list of playlists in the left hand side bar.
    OK, my first thought was the checked box in the iPod's Summary window: Manually manage music and videos. So I went there and unchecked it, which immediately brought up an alert  to the effect "Are you sure you want to automatically synch your entire iTunes library, etc. etc...? I quickly cancelled. Thus, I seem to be in a Catch-22 situation. 
    So the questions are:
    How do I resolve the Synch Music issue so I am assured only selected playlists will be sent to my iPod?
    How do I create a list of playlists in my iTunes library to be transferred to my iPod?
    How do I manually move a playlist in my iTunes library to my iPod's lists of playlists?
    Any help much appreciated. Thanks to all.

    For the immediately problem, you can shut down the computer and disconnect the iPod.
    There may be a process (program) running on your computer in the background that continuously monitors mounted volumes for things like maintenance, data corruption, and malware.  The iPod's storage is a mounted volume.  If you know of any such program, such as an "anti-virus" utility, and it has settings that allow you to exclude certain volumes, you can set it to ignore the iPod "disk" when connected.
    Also, if you are using automatic syncing (not the manual method) to load the iPod, and you have Enable disk use turned ON, turn it OFF.  With Enable disk use turned OFF, iTunes only mounts the iPods disk when syncing, then immediately unmounts the disk.  Thus, other processes you have running on your PC (not iTunes) will have less of a chance to make the disk "in use" and cause this problem.  You won't even have to eject the iPod before disconnecting.

    I bought an iPad and an iPod and discovered that I need to download and understand iTunes for most of the iPod and some of the iPad functions. To my surprise, no manual in any form was available. The staff in the Apple Store could not teach me how to use iTunes, and/or did not have the time available to explain its many operations. Its inconceivable that iTunes, a widely used but fairly complex program - from the viewpoint of a novice - can have no user guide. The help function cannot help someone who does not have a basic understanding of the program. Where do I I find a user guide? The video and text tutorials I found on one of the Apple sites are totally insufficient.

I will be trying the trial and reading the entire manual, before I buy cuz I need to know what they did include, how they changed it, and what they did not include. I was in the beta for about 5 mos, but need to see 1.0 fer real.
    I have already done all the video tutorials, and they did look really good.
    The trial will help me see what kinda speed I can get with my 64K* ram, 110GB HD, .25 GHZ machine*
    The beta 4.1 was pretty slow in some areas, for me.

  • Is there no User Guide for Premiere Pro CS6?

    I am a FCP7 refugee trying to decide between Avid and PP CS6. After waiting for a few weeks for it to be available, I have been lookiig through the PP CS6 Help PDF. I was surprised to see that it is not a complete reference guide documenting the features of the application, but instead a mish-mash of short descriptions, with numerous links to videos, documents from earlier versions, and other external locations where one has to go to get the actual information--not very helpful as a guide to the application. Is there actually no comprehensive user guide from Adobe in a single document or PDF? Or is the only way to get information about the application to navigate through all these disjointed materials?
    If there is such a user guide, I would very much like to know where I can find it. If there isn't, I would have to count this as a very big factor in favor of deciding to go with Avid. This is particularly true given the absence of any current third-party books on PPro CS6, although such books are hardly a substitute for a well written and comprehensive user guide, something which is also true of the help PDF.

    Yes, for CS6, new information was added to the CS5/CS5.5 documentation. We had to go this route because we are working with brand new documentation software. There simply was not enough time to integrate the software and complete a whole new set of documentation. Believe me, it was enough of a challenge integrating the old system with the new one--in addition to creating the articles for new features, and the connective tissue between them.
    There is only one person that does the docs for Premiere Pro, and that is me. I have limitations and guidelines I must follow, so I hope you understand.

    No, this is the Help. It has BOTH the comprehensive details about the software and community content where you can see how people are actually using the software. If the Help is lacking details about any feature, please alert me and I will include those details. I work directly from the engineering documentation and include every detail I can about any feature.
    Since my time is limited, I don't always have time to make supplemental materials like video tutorials, or articles. That's why I link to them. The crucial info is included in the docs, the community content is material that I personally approve as helpful and supportive to the documentation.

    None of the community content is irrelevant. I sort through it all very carefully. Community content is supportive and helpful to users. It should not be necessary to sort through these tutorials as the info should be right in the docs. Community content is supplemental. If you don't find the information you were looking for in the docs themselves, create a comment right on the Help page and I'll see to it that it gets fixed ASAP.

    It is a real user guide. I'm sorry you don't feel that way. If you want a doc with only Premiere Pro CS6 info in it, I can understand that request. Unfortunately, that was impossible for this round.
    If you have any suggestions for the next round of Help documentation, a better place than here would be the Community Help forum. Please voice your concerns there, as the people that actually make decisions about Help are hanging out there.

    Using Link, by backing up the device you backup contacts. Your backup is made of three separate modules: Settings, Media and App Data. Your contacts are included in the Settings backup.
    If you want a Contacts-only backup, try using the third party app "In Touch Contacts" from BlackBerryWorld. It works great to do what you want. I am using it, in addition to my Link backups.

  • Maverick update release of iMovie 10.  Where is the user Guide?

    Used imovie to produced many good videos right before Maverick update.  iMovie 10 need lots of learning.  Any one has idea of good user guide other than taking some on-line classes?
    How to work every thing with the external hard drive?  I did that before, but I can't do it with iMovie10.
    All the library from iMovie 10 looks like whole bunch of garbage, why?
    Can I remove all the old files related to iMovie and start from scrtch?  Like a brand new user to iMove.
    How to create an event?  Even have problem capture video from Canon Vixia G10.  I didn't have the problem with the previous version of iMovie.

    Hello netpros,
    Is anybody aware of the existence of the following guide:
    User Guide for Cisco Video Portal 5.1.x.
    According to: User Guide for
    Cisco Digital Media Manager 5.1.x
    March 17, 2009 (page 4-10) it should exist somewhere but is not listed under DMS-Video Portal-User guides.
    Any suggestions?

    To be honest, I don't believe there was ever a 5.1 "User Guide". The were not many if any "User" changes between 5.0 & 5.1. There is a Management portion built into the 5.1.x DMM User Guide.

  • In App "Help" "User Guide" etc

    When working in Illustrator CC can I restrict "Help" to entering queries about Illustrator CC only? I have used Illustrator since 1988, but need occasional info on new/changed features. I just entered "Live Corners" under Help and got nothing. But other attempts have offered info on OSX, and various Apple features. And when I try Adobe support Center, simple searches often yield links to videos, discussions etc.
    Is it not possible to access a traditional User Guide where specific features can be searched, and explained concisely?
    I'm guessing that in app Help is really a portal provided by the OS. But other complex (Mac based) apps I use allow me to use a Help pulldown, and simply search for current app specifics. Can't the search be restricted to the app I'm currently using - i.e. Illustrator?
    And is there a simple online "User Guide" or knowledge base that concisely covers use/features and is not a portal to the web at large?

    Enter the search term "adobe illustrator help" followed by the topic e.g. "live corners"
    Usually the first entries in the list are pages from the manual.

  • IPad User Guide "Chocolate Chip Cookies" Recipe

    In the "iPad Users Guide", at the top of page 17, there's a graphic demoing the app "Notes".
    What's written there is a chocolate chip cookie recipe, but it's too small to read.
    So I screengrabbed that page, blew it up & copied down the recipe.
    Here, forthwith, it is ....
    Chocolate Chip Cookies
    2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    1 teaspoon salt
    1 cup butter (softened)
    1/4 cup granulated sugar
    1 cup packed brown sugar
    2 teaspoons vanilla extract
    2 eggs
    1 cup oatmeal
    2 cups chocolate chips
    Optional: 1 cup chopped nuts
    Combine flour, baking soda and salt in a small bowl. Beat butter, sugar and
    vanilla in a large mixing bowl. Add eggs, mix well. Add flour gradually. Stir in
    oatmeal, chips and nuts. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto baking sheet. Bake at
    375 degrees for 9 to 11 minutes. Let stand for 2 minutes.
