  • Communication between ECC and CRM

    Hello,
I am in phase of showing communication between SAP CRM 5.0 and ECC 6.0.
I am struggling with finding some simple transactions which are common in both, with which I can show correct connectivity between ECC and CRM.
I need to save some data from CRM and access the same via transaction within ECC, save some data via ECC and access it via CRM. I already established RFC link between ECC and CRM.
Probably communication between SD module of ECC with CRM.
Can you please help me out with this, a clue/correct direction will be of very helpful. Basically I want to know, what transaction I can use for same.
    Any help is really appreciated.
    Thanks
    -Vishal

    Hi Glenn,
I followed all steps in document mentioned above. In the end during execution of transaction I selected appropriate source and destination, when I click start transfer objects, it gets stuck in waiting phase.
Among those steps I was not able to perform step#10. Creating Subscriptions for OLTP. My ERP is not displaying this option under subscription wizard. Should it be reason for not starting transfer ? I also do not see ERP logon screen when I select transfer.
My another question is when transfer will complete, where I'll be able to see transferred objects within ERP database ?
    Thanks
    -Vishal

  • Optimize the performance of the RFC call between ECC and CRM

    Hi,
We are planning to extract sales orders, sales activites and service orders to dispaly it on the  PDF factsheet of the account.
As of now, the PDF factsheet takes a long time to retrieve the data from ECC to CRM. Can you please suggest us on ways to  optimize the performance of the RFC call between ECC and CRM.
    Thanks in advance,
    Vamsi.

    Hello,
[SAP Note 636906 |https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/636906]is quite useful here.
Many times, the performance is poor due to function module CRM_CCKPT_EXPORTSUMMARY. This function module gets the customer number, the sales organization and the fact sheet view. If in CRM customizing, you use complete view (001), then all the views in ERP including all the info blocks will be retrieved, which will cause performance issue.
To solve the issue, please use a limited view to retrieve the data from ERP - especially a view, which does not contain info block 013.
    Hope it helps

  • Need to syncronize the Regions between ERP and CRM

    Hi MW gurus,
I didn't find a adapter object to synchronize the 'Regions' between ERP and CRM. The regions are stored to the table T005S in ERP and the same table exists in CRM too.
Will any one of you adivce on how to sync. these two tables using a replication object?
    Thanks,

  • Replication of text determination (business partner) between ERP and CRM

    Hello,
in ERP I have maintained a text determination procedure Z1 and assigned it to the text object "KNA1". The textprocedure include the Text ID's "Z011" and "Z020".
In CRM exist the text object "KNA1" and "BUT000". I have customized a a text determination procedure "Z1" and the same Text ID's as in ERP, to booth text objects.
The text ID's don't be replicated, no matter i maintain it in CRM or ERP.
Can anybody tell me, how can I replicate the content of the text ID's? What is the relevant text object in CRM?
    Thanks for help
    Regards
    Andreas

    Andrea,
There are objects for replicating the data between CRM and CDB.
    CRM_DNL_TTXOB  and CRM_DNL_TTXID.
But none for replication between R/3 and CRM. WE need to maintain it manually.

    Hi Abhinav,
There are multiple ways to do this. If you want to stop the overall middleware flow, you can do it in MW_MODE transction code. If you want to stop the flow for a particular system, you can do that in SMQS transaction.

  • Making choice between socket and RMI

I never use RMI, but i am familiar to socket programming. i want to write an online game, I know that use RMI will easy than use socket, could anyone tell me what factors will affect the choice between using socket and RMI if don't consider which one i am familiar ?
    thanks
    jacky

I would consider the amount of traffic your online game is going to be generating. Obviously, if the traffic is the bottleneck, you will want to optimize it as much as possible.
I can see that if you are familiar with sockets and socket programming, where this is very appealing because after all, you can't get much faster than raw sockets. Also, the Java APIs around sockets are much easier than the equivalent BSD Socket C/C++ libraries.
Still, RMI has much more to offer.
o It is relatively easy to set up a connection
o exceptions will be thrown when problems occur
o serializing classes is so easy it's laughable
o If performance becomes an issue, you can (as the previous poster suggests) create your own custom socket factory which optimizes the used bandwidth. Options here include compression if you have the CPU cycles to spare.
o There are mechanisms in place for working RMI over firewalls
Many of the things that RMI offers, you might find yourself re-writing in your own socket-based API. Personally, I would choose RMI.

  • Replication of Pricing Conditions between ECC and CRM

    Hi All
I have a couple of queries regarding replication of pricing information between ECC_CRM. We maintain the filter settings for Pricing procedures, access sequences and condition types in the object DNL_CUST_CND_PR, and accordingly these are replicated from ECC to CRM. My Questions:
    1. If some pricing procedure is created in CRM and this needs to be replicated to ECC, Can we achieve this?
    2. Would DELTA be active on these objects, in the sense if some changes are made to a pricing procedure in ECC, would they flow automatically to CRM?
    Thanks in advance
    Best Regards,
    Ram Sushanth

    Hi Chandra and Swaroop
Thanks a lot for your response.
From your replies, now, this is my understanding (Pl correct me if am wrong)
    1. Replication of Pricing Procedure from CRM to ECC is possible.
It would be of great help if you could elaborate on the procedure to do so or provide pointers for documentation in this regard.
Because, for replication from ECC to CRM, we perform an initial load on the object DNL_CND_CUST_PR or DNL_CUST_CNDALL.What is the object that we need to execute from replication from CRM to ECC?
    2. DELTA would be active only on condition records, but not on Condition types and Pricing Procedures and if any pricing procedure is changed in ECC, we would need to perform Initial Load again.
    Thanks in advance
    Best Regards

  • Use PI between J2EE and CRM for JCO/RFC?

    Hello,
I have a question concerning the use of PI RFC-Adapter:
is it possible to use PI as an intermediator between a Netweaver J2EE System which connects to another system (eg. ABAP) using JCO/RFC (giving the following setting:
    [NW Java -> JCO] -> [PI] -> [RFC-Receiver-System]
To be more specific, we plan using CRM eCommerce Shop. This Java based shop connects to CRM backend using JCO/RFC. The Java based shop needs to be placed in a different network zone than CRM system and the only (allowed) way to have a connection from the zone with the shop is through PI.
    Best regards,
    Manuel

    Hello Rajeev,
yes, this would be the best way - but unfortunately the policy does not let us connect directly using jco/rfc. Only ways using PI (decentral advanced adapter engine) are allowed.
Is this possible to use PI to transfer the jco/rfc requests between the two network zones or does PI not support this scenario?
    Regards,
    Manuel

You should do a search on the XIF IDOC adapter in the CRM general and framework forum.  If you need more details on how to set this up, you can also read the documentation of the function module
    CRMXIF_PARTNER_SAVE
Or look in the IMG at:
CRM -> CRM Middleware ->Exchanging data with External components ->XIF Adapter Setup
    Take care,

  • Difference between PCUI and CRM GUI

    Hi all,
We are currently on CRM 5.0 and we noticed that in the CRM GUI
you have much more possibilities(and freedom) as in the PCUI version.
Eg. In the PCUI we can relate a contactperson to only 1 company while in the
    gui version this is unlimited.
Another example: If we relate a contactperson to a company in the PCUI,
the address of the company is shown together with the contact person.
If we do this in the GUI(even when explicitly choosing for the copying of the address) , there is no copying of this address.
Is this default and standard SAP?
I can understand that the PCUI offers less possibilities but I can not believe that it handles another business logic then in the GUI.
    Thanks for all reactions,
    Hans

    Dear Frederic,
    Thanks for your fast response.
I'm not at my office and i'm a total novice in CRM.
How can I see which application we use?
Us was told that there is only ONE possibility for transaction BP in the portal.
Since there are differences between the two gui's, there is now the intention to rework the gui backend(with bapi's) so that it would react the same as in the portal(PCUI).
I have 10 years of overall experience in R/3 and this seems to me the world upside down.
Another intention is to let all users work from the portal(which is not very performant)
Furthermore I've difficulty to believe that SAP would offer a product(PCUI) that handles another business logic then the backend logic which is the basis of everything.
About the business address of the contact person:
In the portal we see this address together with the contact person data.
In the GUI we don't see it on the general tab(which doesn't seem to me unlogic since you can relate the same contact person to different companies)
    Thanks again,
    Hans

  • Choice Between IDOC and ABAP Proxy

    Hello All,
We are building a Bi Directional Interface for Business partners between a third Party ERP, XI and SAP CRM.
We are looking for some advise on the best way to go forward between the two options below:
    a) Do an ABAP Proxy Call on Fn Module CRMXIF_PARTNER_SAVE  from XI
    b) Create and IDOC in CRM
       ( Message Type CRMXIF_PARTNER_SAVE_M )
Not being an XI consultant, my understanding is as follows
Option A  : Gives me the flexibility to format my response in the manner we like. But this is a synchronous call. Also this is a generated RFC. So changes in the XIF layer of CRM could be an issue.
Option B : Response can be achieved only through the ALE Audit Functionality, which has a predefined message structure. For Eg: If I wanted to send the response in the same format as the incoming message with an added segment for the error, this is not possible. Ofcourse, I get all the functionalities of monitoring and Handling IDOCs in this option.
Any thoughts on the advantages and disadvantages of each option would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Anoop

    Anoop,
I probably should have mentioned in the BLOG, that IDOC is good if its a standard IDOC, so that you don't have under go the pain doing the modifications for the custom one.
In your case, PROXY might make more sense as you are saying that you have to do some custom processing as well. So, you can call the BAPI / Function for the standard processing and then do the custom processing in your Proxy code. And more over, if you have want to have a Synch interface, then you cannot use IDOC.
So, the options in this case boil down to PROXY / RFC.
PROXY will definitely have the advantage as its going to bypass the adapter engine and directly interact with the Integration server. And moreover, even if you already have a RFC, you can always call that inside your PROXY. However, the only flip side here compared to IDOC, is that you will have to create all your IR objects manually.
Hope this helps you in making your decision.
    regards,
    Ravi

  • About configuration replicate between r3 and crm

hi gurus, i want to ask you a basic question, is the situation described right:
    1, some configuration should be done in r3 and should be transfered to crm;
    2, some can be done in crm and should be transfered to r3;
    3, some should be done in both crm and r3, but can only do it seperately and manully;
4, some can be done in just r3 or crm and need not be transfered to the other one.
and one further question is how can i know the configuration in r3 should or can be tranfered to crm? i mean, i know there is a tcode to do the transfer, but how can i identify the item is the item i should transfer?
i am not a crm consultant, the question is perhaps not to the point. but really hope you gurus give some help.
    thank you.

    Hi Daniel,
Let me try to answer your questions
    1, some configuration should be done in r3 and should be transfered to crm;
    Yes, for example pricing conditions
    2, some can be done in crm and should be transfered to r3;
No, I dont think we transfer config from CRM to R/3.
    3, some should be done in both crm and r3, but can only do it seperately and manully;
    Yes
4, some can be done in just r3 or crm and need not be transfered to the other one
       Yes
There are middleware objects which are used to download the R/3 config to CRM.I dont think there is a standard way to find out which config needs to be downloaded.

    Madhu
