Choice of outlook calendar to sync

iPhone sync seems to sync only one .pst file in Outlook. I have multiple outlook .pst files due to multiple backups, recoveries etc. On the desktop, I can checkbox which calendar & contacts to use. Can I tell iPhone which .pst file(s) to sync? Also, if I move my Outlook data files to a custom location (still on the c: drive), will iPhone sync find them?
Outlook 2007
Windows 7
iPhone 3G

Through trial and error it seems iTunes only reads one .pst file & in the normal default location. I guess I have to rename my current file back to default (instead of using understandable filename), put it where MS wants it (instead of where it is convenient for me) and then I have to revise the Outlook data path so Outlook knows where it is. Irritating, because it works so nicely except for the iPhone part. Unless someone has better suggestions?

  • How can I get Outlook calendar to sync with iPhone and iPad?

I think I have tried evert known setting but syncing seems very selective.  I have googled for solutions, too.
Currently, I load an even into my Outlook calendar (and have the right boxes checked in iTunes) but I am damned if the even will transpose to either my iPhone or my iPad! My Outlook also displays the iCloud calendar too.
Is there a definitive instruction that is, effectively, a child's guide to setting up Outlook to transpose events to the Apple devices AND vice-versa?
In my iPhone and iPad, I have the iCloud sync box ticked.  In my phone calendars I have both PC and iCloud ticked.  Events show in my Outlook and Outlook iCloud but not in the &^&^*&^(*&(*)&(* iPhone or iPad.  I have had some close shaves over missing events and want to have this solved.
    Pleeeeease?
    Ron

An interesting additional symtom is that items loaded in the PC (which immedialely duplicate to the iCloud calendar on eht PC - no worries, there) do not transpose the devices (as above) but, loading an item into the phone, it goes to the PC (which is fine, too).  But not to the iPad.  Interestingly, there fewer calendar display options on the iPad than on the phone.
I talked to Apple a few months ago (after ISO 5) - mainly about the 6000 plus addresses that suddenly appeared in my Contacts - and his advice was do all contact and calendar actions on the PC.  "icloud is still faulty"
So there we are!   I must have items and reminders in my PC - it is my main work station - and need them on my devices to avoid conflicts when away from my office.

  • Outlook Calendar doesnt sync

My iPhone is set up to sync with my outlook calendar but none of the appointments show up on phone. All other Outlook items sync fun but my appoints are not on my calendar. Help please!!
    Thanks

I had exactly this problem - except it was also my contacts. I did what has previously been suggested - that is recreate my PST file that contains the personal folder (inbox, contacts, calendar etc). By the way Outlook was working fine as far as I could tell. I did the following :
    - made a copy of the orignal PST file
    - exported the contents of the calendar, inbox, contacts to seperate files
    - create a new pst file
    - imported the data from the exported files
    Bob's your uncle everthing worked
BTW I had over 1600 contacts, but did empty out my inbox and other folders that I wanted to save to speed things up a bit.

  • Outlook Calendar stopped syncing with iPhone Calendar

I deleted a recurrent event on my iPhone and this action appears to have confused the sync capability between my iPhone and MS Outlook Calendar.
Outlook still tries to find the recurrent event on start-up even though it is not shown in Outlook Calendar.
More concerning is that new events and changes in Outlook Calendar are no longer syncing with iPhone Calendar. The time to complete the Calendar sync activity is noticeably longer than any of the other sync actions, which suggests that there is a problem.
I have been through the restore routine in iTunes and also attempted to replace all the Outlook Calendar data on the iPhone using the Advanced facility on the iTunes Info tab.
I appreciate that this may be an Outlook issue but are there any other things that I can try to restore the sync capability between the 2 Calendars.
All other sync functions appear to work ok - I have created and deleted Contact data from both Outlook and iPhone and this works fine.
    Grateful for any help!

I'm not sure if this will work for you. It seems every time I research a problem, everyone has a different solution that doesn't work for everyone. (I just spent an hour and a half searching for a solution in various forums.) But this one just worked for me.
I went into iTunes, into the Devices page for my iPhone, then to the Info tab. I unchecked Sync Calendars with Outlook. A pop-up appeared saying, I believe (I didn't write it down) "Do you want to delete previously synced calendars on the iPhone" - or words to that effect. Since I hadn't entered anything directly into the iPhone calendar in a while, I clicked Okay. Then I clicked on Apply (lower right corner of iTunes). The iPhone synced, and all appointments disappeared from the iPhone calendar. I then rechecked Sync Calendars with Outlook, clicked Apply, and the iPhone synced once again - and all my Outlook calendar appointments appeared on the iPhone.
This was, I admit, after having deinstalled all Apple software from my PC and reinstalling it. That didn't work on its own (still couldn't sync calendars), but I don't know for sure whether it had something to do with the success of the de-sync / re-sync.
Good luck. These solutions always seem to be hit-and-miss.

  • Can you configure icloud to keep MS Outlook Calendar in sync?

The calendar on the iphone is correct - have backed up to icloud... how do i configure to have the calendar in MS Outlook on my PC updated and remain in sync... I am trying to avoid duplicate items.... I can wipe out MS Outlook calendar content and start fresh if necessary.

  • Updating to iOS 6.1.4 erased my outlook calendar when syncing. How can I retrieve it?

After updating iOS I synchronised my calendar via iTunes. At the remark that many entries were conflicting I didn't pay attention, since I was a bit stressed, and just went on... The day after I realized that the outlook calendar on my computer was empty. They were still there on my iPhone, though. I synched again and the entries on my phone calendar were erased... I reinstalled the latest security copy of my iPhone, but the calendar is still empty. How can I get all entries back!?

You should have an archive in Outlook. Check the archive settings in Outlook and the archive file. Before you sync again make sure there is a unique contact, calendar entry on the computer that does not exist on the phone and you should get a prompt asking if you want to merge, and you should say yes.

  • Outlook Calendar Not Syncing

Ever since 2.1 my iPhone hasn't been able to sync to Outlook. I've tried a lot of different things and followed the instructions on http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1692 but nothing so far has worked. I also erased all my information and reset my iphone. After the 2hr reformat and syncing everything back onto my phone my calendar didn't sync. Anyone know how to solve this problem?

  • Icloud Control Panel on windows with multiple outlook calendars, contacts syncing with multiple i-devices

I have one windows vista PC with Microsoft outlook with two calendars and two contacts ( family and work in each case).   My wife syncs her ipad 2 via icloud and I am about to buy an iphone but as much as I have tried I cannot find out how to sync from one set of calendar and contacts (family to my wife's ipad) and separately the other calendar and contacts (work) to my iphone via icloud (or any other way efficiently) off the same PC.   Although I have found lots of these similar sorts of issues on the forum, to my surprise I have not found this exact issue and so I have not yet found the solution.   Any help appreciated!

    Hello desert_dweller5,
It sounds like you art trying to access a Shared Photo Stream, but you do not have one of the devices to enable your Apple ID as an iCloud account.  The following article provides information on how Shared Photo Streams work:
    iCloud: Photo Stream FAQ
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4486
The article states that for privately Shared Photo Streams to work, the recipient will not only have to have an Apple ID, but it will have to be an iCloud account:
Friends and family with iCloud accounts can view your photos in the Photos app on any device using iOS 6 or later; on a Mac in iPhoto 9.4 or Aperture 3.4 or later; on a Windows PC with Windows Vista or later and iCloud Control Panel 2.0 or later installed; or on a second generation or later Apple TV with software version 5.1 or later installed. They can also view your photos on the web if you enable Public Website in the settings or options for your Shared Photo Stream.
Since you do not have an iCloud account and just and Apple ID, your friend can share the photo stream as a public website so that you can view it, as stated in the same article:
Can I share with people who don't have an iCloud account?
Yes. If you enable Public Website in the settings or options for your shared photo stream your photos will be published to a website that anyone can view in an up-to-date web browser.
To be able to change an Apple ID to an iCloud account, you would need an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 5 or later or a Mac with OS X Lion v10.7.4 or later as stated in the following article:

  • Windows 8.1 / Outlook Calendars / iTunes Sync

Please advise as to why either manual sync (USB) connect from Windows 8.1 environment laptop or iCloud sync over WiFi will not / does not update either to/from "Calendars" on Windows and iPhone 6

    Hi,
As for Sync issue from iCloud to Outlook, there are three solutions, listed in the order of use. If the first one doesn't fix it, move on to the next one. (Repair is rarely needed.) In each case, you need to close Outlook first.
    1. Deselect Calendar and Contact sync in the iCloud control panel, Apply, then re-enable it.
    2. Sign out of the iCloud in the iCloud control panel, then sign back in.
    3. Repair the Outlook installation in Control panel, Programs and Features. After rebooting the computer, everything should show up in Outlook again.
For more information about it, please refer to the Sync Stops Working part in:

  • Outlook Calendar iPhone Sync Solution

Just go to Outlook, select Tools, select ORGANIZE, then SELECT THE COLOR OF YOUR IPHONE'S CALENDAR and add. Sync again with iTunes - prblem solved!. It worked for me and I hope it woks for you too.

Mavericks doesn't sync contacts or calendar via iTunes anymore. Apple removed 'sync services' so Outlook doesn't have the sync engine to move data between iOS & the Mac. It will still work on iTunes 11 on earlier OS X's.
On 10.9 you can either use iCloud, setup your own contacts & calendar server (OS X server, Biakal, Owncloud & many others) or you can find another online service to use to sync data, like Google apps.
There is a 200 page thread on the issue…

There is also a user tip on how to setup Baikal…
