Choice of web browser for MacBook

I switched from a 20" iMac to a MacBook. I needed a portable. I noticed that on the smaller screen, the default fonts displayed by Safari were too small in some sites. If I made the text bigger, other sites looked odd because it was too big.
The solution was OmniWeb 5. You can set individual site preferences so the text is right all the time. I find that it displays a nicer web page on the 13" screen.

That's the main reason I purchased licenses for Omniweb as well. In addition, it's very fast and the zoomed text editor is great for entering text in fields that are too small to display longer passages.

I have Mercury, Atomic, Dolphin and iCab. They all offer features that Safari does not have. If you liked the former mini windows view that Safari had in iOS 4, I think iCab would be a great choice. It offers something similar to that as well as tabbed browsing, DropBox support, it can identify as other browsers (I can't remember what that feature is called) and IMO - it blows Safari out of the water.
All of these browsers have more to offer than Safari, but I like iCab the best.

I would like to Disable 'OUTPUT' Tab in SRM PO (Web browser) for different users who are assigned to SRM Employee Role (who has PO Display Authorization) to restrict PO Print Preview only (not to restrict displaying PO field values in SRM Web Browser). I have to have BBP_PD_PO activity as 'Display' to display field values in SRM PO Web Browser - Under SRM Employee Role.
Let me know the solution for the above requirement.

I have the same problem with the PO Output tab.
I would like to disable the Output tab for any user without modification.
SCREEN BADI is not working, because with screen BADI you can only influence position fields, here we ve got a TAB /Field on header level.
CHECK BADI: I did not get the message here. How should I block the user to change the output format only by throwing a message within CHECK_BADI?
The only way I see is a modification to disable the whole Tab.

screen-input = gc_off

--> switch screen-input to gc_off at any time!
Any other ideas how to disable mail or fax option for users without using a modification?

Hi,
Which web browser you were trying to open the siebel application. You should make that web browser as a default browser for your OS.
Open IE- Tools - Internet Options - Programs - Make Default Browser.
Try this and let me know the results.

Using "sapbi://" URL in web browser for stress-testing

I want to test the connection limits of the deployed MobileBIService in the CMC, as I've experienced some sluggish connections.
I've checked, and the "sapbi://" URI points directly to the SAP BI app, which then opens the requested report. A link example is:

Is it possible to mask http data coming from a web browser, as coming from a mobile device (via the SAP BI app), in order to test the mobile service/server?
If not, what is the http data request used in the app that can be used in a web browser, and still go through the MobileBIService?
Is there a way to trace the data, to make sure that that server is being stressed?
I am using:
Android SAP BI app;
SAP BO 4.1 SP04, with Mobile CMS deployed.

On the other hand, my users want this. I just pushed out the Reader 8.2.3 update with the 8.2.0 install. Unfortunately, I had erroneously set the mst to "Make Reader default if both Acrobat and Reader are installed." They all want Acrobat to be their default. Can I use this same registry setting? I'm going to try it for a few people and see if it works.

In my web browser page there are two arrows in upper right hand corner. They allow me to make my web page to fit the entire computer screen. After I do that, how do I restore it to a normal web page appearance?

"Shift + Command + F" I believe is the shortcut to do that.
EDIT: actually, just hold your cursor in the top right of the screen for a second and your taskbar will reappear and you can close full screen.

The only way to use other apps/browsers is to use Airplay from an app/browser on an iPhone/iPod Tocuh/iPad.

The Arch multilib repo does not hold programs that compile natively in Arch 64, so your best bet is to install the 32-bit program in a lightweight 32-bit chroot, and install schroot so you can run the web browser with the simple command "schroot -p -- $PROGRAM", replacing $PROGRAM with the name of the program. See the ArchWiki for more information.
Personally, I would automate alot of the process of setting up the 32-bit chroot by installing Xyne's arch32-light package, and following the instructions (with the program).

Widescreen Web Browser for Palm OS 4.1

Okay, I'm not stupid, but I am SOOOO not techie, and I have been going absolutely crazy trying to find what I need. I bought a Dana Wireless by AlphaSmart. It's basically a Palm Pilot that runs Palm OS 4.1, BUT - it's got a full keyboard and the monitor is 7 1/2 inches wide by 2 1/2 inches tall, which I LOVE. I am able to access the internet wirelessly, but the only browsers that I have found are not built for "full screen" mode. I have tried just about every single browser that is compatible, and none are configured to utilize the full screen. Dana Wireless originally created their own fullscreen web browser, but they discontinued it, and I have been unable to find it anywhere. I have also tried Opera Mini, which is supposed to operate in fullscreen, but apparently I can't get Java installed correctly on it. Can anyone help me? I'm wondering if I could get some help either getting Java to play nice with Opera (and be full screen), or if an existing browser can be reconfigured to utilize my whole screen. I really love this thing and want to make the most of it! Thanks for listening to me babble!

I guess both opera and uc compress webpages .However I personally prefer opera mini since it gives you truly desktop like page rendering and upto 90% compression which saves data costs.

Mac get real slow after using web browser for awhile

Using internet does not matter what which web browser I use after just minutes especially playing the browser runs extremy slow. I have 15" and 17" 4 gig memory on both macs and they both do the same thing, do not think it is the internet I get about 10 mg rate

Sorry, didn't want to post verbose instructions if they weren't needed. Let's go one by one:
Is he getting all the right IP information - IP/mask/gateway/DNS?
Go to a command prompt (Start/run, type CMD then Enter). Then type IPCONFIG then Enter. This will give you everything except DNS. Run IPCONFIG /ALL. Note the DNS server(s). Compare this output with your Mac (System Preferences/Network).
If so, from Terminal, ping the gateway, then DNS, then yahoo.com. Where/when does it fail? If it fails at yahoo.com, does it resolve the name to the IP address?
Whoops, my bad, Terminal is Mac. From the command prompt you're hopefully still in (if not, run CMD again), ping the default gateway listed in the IPCONFIG output from above (type PING followed by gateway address; looks like #.#.#.#) Successful? If so, ping DNS server from IPCONFIG /ALL output. Successful? If so, ping yahoo.com. First, does it resolve yahoo.com to an actual address (i.e. 68.180.206.184)? Do you get replies, or does it timeout?
