Choose Mail sending default account in the Mail app.

There should be a option of choosing the mail account from which i need to send the mail everytime a send the mail and it prompts. its not like that i have to choose the default mail sending account in the settings before hand and then if i need to send the mail from a different account i need to go to settings to edit it. there should be a option of choosing it everytime i send the mail in the Mail app.

From the Mail menu bar, select
Mail ▹ Preferences ▹ Signatures
Drag the signature to each of the desired accounts in the list on the left. If you want it to be the default signature added to all messages sent from that account, select the account, and then select from the Choose Signature menu at the bottom of the dialog.

Would not take the moving wheel as indication that account is active. There could be other reasons for it. From the menu Window, choose 'connection doctor' that will show you how each account has connected. Next, from the Window menu choose 'activity veiwer' that will show you exactly what activity is causing the moving wheel.

Yes it is possible to set up multiple accounts but you cannot switch between them in the mail app. What you can do in settings/mail etc is have one set as active an dthe other as inactive and you can change that from time to time if you want

Hello, I can no longer access my gmail account through the mail icon. When I use the icon gmail tells me my password is invalid, however when I log in through Safari I have no problems. Any suggestions?

I had no problem accessing my Gmail account through the mail icon until two weeks ago. I can still access my Gmail account through Safari, but when I attempt to access my Gmail through the mail icon, Gmail tells me that my password is invalid. Any Suggestions? Any help would be greatly aprecieated.

I see you are using LastPass. Could that add-on be interfering with your login?? You could try disabling it temporarily under Tools > Add-ons to test that theory.

Launch Address Book / Contacts.
Create a new card with correct information.
Select / highlight the vCard you want to be referred to.
Click "Card" from the menu bar and select "Make This My Card".

I have a couple of google email accounts in the iPads Mail and the same ones open in the Mac's mail app. I do sign out after using web mail though.. That doesn't have any effect on the iPad or Mac mail apps.

I can't connect to my gmail or yahoo account through the mail app

I was able to connect just fine until reset my iphone an hour ago, and was asked to update carrier settings, which I did. Now I can't connect to my gmail or yahoo account through the mail app. Through settings, I deleted my accounts, and set them back up, but still nothing. I can connect by going through safari, but it takes longer, and it's not as user friendly...besides that's waht the mail app is there foer, right? Please help! Thanks
