Choose new speaker name for AirPlay?

How can I change the name of the speakers to choose that are listed in the list in iTunes? I have 1. Computer, 2. Airport Extender/Express, 3. My Home Theater, 4. Home Theater. I want to change #4 to another name but can't figure out how to do it. Im not sure how I ended up with 2 options named home theater. Also if I am playing music in one room can different music play in another room via my apple TV from the same library? If not, if I created another library would that work?

Oh yea I am not sure what the difference is between Airplay or AirTunes so if I used the wrong word please forgive! LOL!

I've been playing around with my Home Sharing and Apple TVs, and it seems you can't change the computer name through AirPlay because I think you can only access one "computer" at a time as well as multiple "speakers" using the Remote app. When using the Remote app, you'll see the correct name for your Macs and Apple TVs in the list of devices to connect to. If you select your "Mac," you now have control of it, so it's listed as the "Computer."
If you had two Macs awake with iTunes opened on both, you wouldn't be able to play music from one Mac then select both Macs to stream the same music through both sets of speakers. If you could, it would make sense that you could rename them, so you know which Mac you want to stream to. So, you're able to stream from one "Computer" along with as many "Speakers" as you want, which are Apple TVs and AirTunes.
This is what I'm discovering as I'm playing around with a Mac Mini, MacBook, two iPhones, and two Apple TVs. All devices have the same Apple ID for Home Sharing. Both Macs have iTunes opened. I'm about to add an AirPort Extreme with speakers attached to see how it adds to the list.

My 2nd generation ipod touch won't play on my new speaker dock but my iphone does

I just purchased a new speaker dock for my ipod touch but when I dock it it shows it's charging but no sound comes out of the speakers. When I dock my iphone on it, it plays fine and I know the ipod touch works because it plays on my old speaker dock.

You can try the standard fixes:
- Reset. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory defaults/new iPod
Many vendors when they are updating apps for iOS 5 have droped support for iOS les than 4. It could be that the dock manufacturer is not support earlier iOSs and/or the 1G iPod.
I went to nadelectronics.com and only found the:
- VISO 1 which did not really say anything about compatibility.
- NAD IPD 2 Dock which said "Compatible with all current iPods and iPhones. The 1G with iOS 2.x may not be considerd current.

Addition of New Column name "Qty" in user defined layout for CJR2

Hi Friends,
I am going thorugh variurs posts but could not a fetch correct answer. If that was available and missed, sorry about that.
My requirement is, wanted to have new user defined layout which would be copied from 1-701 (CJR2). The layout should have new column which would be named as "Qty".
Note that I tried to change name after pulling new fileds from left side to right hand side but these fields are grayed out in change layout.
What is the work around solution to have new column and tthis wouold be named as "Qty". Let me ask one question is it possible to add new fields name to standard layout like 1-702 other than what it has been delivered by SAP????.

Have you tried MENU > Edit > Columns > Append additional fields?
I think you can not choose any other characteristics other than SAP has provided which is mentioned in SAP Help.

Please choose a document name so the destination name is different for the different input files.

I loaded a folder into Bridge, of files which I intend to reduce to 800 px using one of my own custom actions.
Please note that I have done this successfully numerous times in the past.
I go to tools/PS/batch/set:margie's actions/action:reduce to 800
Source: Bridge
Destination:Folder
Choose/new folder/I name folder/create/choose
The folder name shows after users:users name:desktop
The problem is in File Naming. After I type in Document Name a name totally different from the folder name/OK,

The problem is in File Naming. After I type in Document Name a name totally different from the folder name/OK,
If you use an action for resizing based on existing filenames it is not needed to change the document name but just leave it as it is so the files will be save resized and in the folder you have chosen/created.
When you need to have an addition to the filenames just leave the first field with document name and change the second field (default: extension) to whatever you wish and as last field choose 'extension'.
e.g.
field 1: Document Name (If you leave this as it is it reflects the current filename)
field 2: document name (fill in an underscore "_")
field 3: 3 digit serial number (adds 001 and further after the underscore)
field 4: extension (either lowercase or uppercase depending on your needs,I prefer lowercase, but don't change the field name. This puts the existing file extension at the end)
The example field that is showing above the option fields is a bit distracting because it keeps showing 'MyFile' but that is your existing filename.
Personally I have a save as to destination in my actions recorded to dedicated folders with the resulted size and I simple run those actions without creating a folder in the batch window, just select the dedicated resizing action.
When done I move the result to a new folder using Finder, it is just another way of working but the above given example should also work for you.

I apologize, I'm a bit unclear on exactly what you are asking. If you are talking about changing to or using a different Apple ID in Game Center, you may find the following article helpful:
Sign in to your Game Center account using your Apple ID. If you don't have an Apple ID or another Apple account, tap or click Create New Account to create an account to use with Game Center.
You can change the account you are signed into by:
iOS: Tap Settings > Game Center.
OS X: Click the Me tab in the Game Center app and click on your Account.

Advice about choosing Domain Name for AD

Before starting this theard I already read article of Ace Fekay about choosing domain name.

I want to setup server with AD so I can easy deploy programs, settings and use one place
for user accounts.
I already have one domain that I use for FTP server and that domain points to my external IP.
Now I want to use that domain for AD and IIS. I know about pros\cons doing that and I think that isn't problem for me.
Is it possible to do it, will it work and will I have problem joining clients to domain?
If possible I want to make that AD join-able from Internet (because I have clients that is in other cities but want cetralized location). I was thinking about using .local domain (and VPN) and if needed to edit host file but I'm scared that don't make problems
to client. (I want as much as possible to it be easy)
Can I do it with existing domain or I need to buy new (and if need, what actually I need to ask my ISP for) (I would like to work with current domain, that will help me a lot)?

You can do with existing domain. You can use directaccess feature to perform domain join & access your domain resources securely without requiring VPN.You can also utilize offline domain join.

Prompt for New Folder Name During Running Workflow?

I've looked everywhere and cant find an answer for this. I'm trying to create an workflow that will copy the pictures I have selected and put them in a new folder inside a folder I've already created. I want the the workflow to prompt me to give a name for the new folder I'm creating. Can it do this?

So I will try my best -- as a non nativ english speaker-- to give you a short explanation of what is doing Automator.
First of all, read the Automator Help. It is good!
Then, when you create a Workflow, have a look at the Results of every Action (from the Result Button)
Also there is an inspector, that will allow you to follow the Workflow.
Most of the Actions based on AppleScript ans Shell Scripts, they work like this:
Take an Input (if there is one) and return the Output
In your case:
Make a new Folder in Folder x
Result (Output) = Path to Folder
Show this action when the workflow runs = so you can set the new folder on the run
Set the Value of a Variable
The Input is the path to the new Folder, that will be needed later.
We don´t want to have an Output for the next Action.
(That would be still the path to the new Folder)
Get the selected Finder Items
In the Result they will be listed.
Copy this items to the new Folder
We need the path to the new folder, that was created before. So we use the Variable with the stored path

Look iTunes>Preferences>Devices...is a backup listed for your iPhone 5 dated BEFORE you restored your iPhone 4 backup to your iPhone 5? If not, your data is gone. If there is a backup, on your iPhone 5: Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content & Settings. You should now be able to restore that backup, if it exists, to your iPhone 5.

A new name for a company

Hello all
I'm switching to a new name for my company. The website
content will stay the same. My question is this. If I go to "site
Definition" and change the old name & the root folder over to
my new name will it delete any of my pages or do something weird to
any of my file folders? If anybody can tell me the best way to make
this change over I would appreciate it.

You cannot add a name for Mac on the iPad. I assume that you mean in the WiFi sync setting - not possible.

Try going into your account details on iTunes, change your info there, then sync your devices.

"Untitled" as default document name for new documents

I have one installation of Adobe Illustrator CS2 in a Mac with which I have the following problem:
Whenever I go to File->New, to create a new document, the default document name is blank, and it should be "untitled".
Is there a way (without reinstalling) to correct this? (turn the default blank document name to "untitled" default document name, for new documents)

On what Mac? If it's on a new Mac with Snow Leopard, I would guess it is one of those compatibility issues of new OS vs. legacy software. If so, you can't change any of that. Other than that I can only think of trying to edit the document templates...

Different names for the 2.4 and 5 GHz networks are optional, but can be convenient for you to distinguish one from another. It's up to you.
