Choppy movie on YouTube

I can't seem to get my movie to play smoothly on YouTube, or other similar sites. It's choppy, and sometimes pauses. Other people's videos play smoothly, but I can't seem to get that. I've tried compressing it with several codecs, including H.264, and even HD (though the video is not HD). I've tried high bit rate as well as low. Nothing seems to work. Anyone have any ideas? It's not YouTube, it's your internet connection. This plays fine on my connection. YouTube takes what ever you upload and compresses it again to Flash. Your best to upload the biggest highest quality file you can, H.264 re-compressed as Flash is probably not going to give you the best results in the end.

Hi, Your Flash files are all correct for IE. I'm sure they are also for FF, since Flash Player is working.
What you can try is something that has helped other users and maybe this will help you with IE. Try turning off the User Account Control and then Restart your computer and see if IE is working now.
Open User Accounts by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking User Accounts and Family Safety.
and then clicking User Accounts. Click Turn User Account Control on or off.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
Select the Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer check box to turn on UAC, or clear the check box to turn
off UAC, then click OK.
Let me know whenever you can, no hurry.

When i publish the movie to youtube, the sound gets cut out half way through. help?

I'm trying to publish a short movie to youtube. It plays fine in the editing screen, but when I publish it, half way through, the sound cuts out on the video. There's still some background music that's playing, but the voices get cut out. I've tried republishing it in a different size and the sound cuts out at the exact same place. Any suggestions?

Failure to upload MPEG-4 QuickTime movie to YouTube

Tried several times, yesterday and today, to upload an MPEG-4 QuickTime movie to YouTube. I created it according to their specs. I emailed them twice in two days and haven't got a reply yet.
This is the Safari message I get after about a minute of what seems like uploading to the YouTube web site—from their upload page:
Safari can’t open the page “http://v168.youtube.com/myvideospost”. The error was: “lost network connection” (NSURLErrorDomain:-1005)
I spoke with Apple tech, Earthlink (ISP) tech, and searched Google with keywords, but still don't know what's going on. I'm hoping YouTube will reply to me. Has anyone else had this problem recently?—and solved it?
(Did you also prepare your upload according to YouTube's specs?)

make sure you have sufficient drive space on your target drive. Make sure you have a minimum of 15% free space on your startup drive. What format is the original quicktime movie?

What si the best way to export Final Cut Pro X movies to YouTube?

The Share > YouTube tool is proving to be very unrelaible. Often the Share Loader comes back with the "Your password has been rejected" message when I know that the password is correct. It seems to work fine for 50% of the time but it's really frustrating.
My videos are quite large (given that they are all under two minutes they have been shot in HD and are often over 1Gb - too big for YouTube).
What is the best way of getting my movies down in size and then uploaded to YouTube?

Thanks for the advice guys. I'm just rather reluctant to spend more money when FCP is meant to be good at this kind of thing. It's frsutrating thet the YouTube option doesn't work, but it clearly doesn't.
I think I just need to stop being a scrooge and to buy compressor!

Problem with QuickTime movie in YouTube

I uploaded some videos taken with myphone and needed to rotate them, which I did using QT Pro. Looks great. But when I uploaded the video to YouTube it is still the wrong orientation. I spliced three clips together and that worked... just not the rotation. Any suggestions would be GREAT Thanks!

Go into quicktime, edit-->preferences. Hit the File Types tab. Make sure that quicktime is set as the default movie player for the types of movies you are watching.

Choppy movie clips and scenes

I am having a problem in which I have movie clips containing
tweens in a file containing two scenes. On publishing, the movie
clips in Scene A play fine, but the clips within Scene B are very
choppy -- they appear to be playing only the first and last frames
of a tween.
The tweens themselves are definitely OK -- sometimes it
happens that the clips from Scene B play fine, but then the ones
from Scene A don't work.
To see specifically what is happening, you can go to

The file is done in two scenes -- one for the content under
the "The Blast" tab and one for that under "Getting Out." The
pulsing arrows on the map in "The Blast" are movie clips with
motion tweens, and these are working correctly. Go to "Getting
Out," though, and the explosion symbol on that map is supposed to
expand and fade out, but as you can see, it's not working. But as I
said, sometimes that clip plays fine, but then the arrows (and
other clips in "The Blast") don't work.
This is not the first time I've run into this bug, so I don't
think it is anything project-specific. Anybody have any
ideas?

dont think it is a "bug" because scenes dont exist in the
compiled SWF - they are only for managing
your FLA timeline.
example: say you have 2 scenes 100 frames each. Upon export
to SWF, frame 1 in scene 2 is really
frame 101.
perhaps you just need a preloader?

Why does my imovie 9 say "alert" after trying to upload movie to Youtube?

I'm trying to upload a movie from iMovie 9 to Youtube. After I push "Publish" a screen from iMovie comes up saying "alert." What does this mean?

OK yes I am using the Share to Facebook option and it's still not working. I even called Apple and they helped me export from iPhoto to iMovie and it's still not working. My camera ia a Canon and I used their upload to Facebook option and it's still not working. I get this error message Apple-scc a report that goes to Apple when the computer hangs up.
All I know is I've had this iMac for about 3 years and have never had a problem with it. It is a 21-inch 3.2 Ghz, Mac OSX and I don't know where you look and see how much memory is available.
