Choppy music through earphones on iPhone 4S (music + earphones not faulty)?? HELP!

My iPhone 4S was working fine, then suddenly the music through the earphones became choppy earlier this afternoon.
I have two pairs of earphones and they are working well on my other music devices. The music also works fine on speaker so it is not a music file or sync problem.
On earphones, when I tune the volume to the loudest, the music stays normal for forever. Then when I move it down, the music resumes 'popping' after a few seconds. It is the same for every song.
The popping/static is sort of like on the manual radio tuner when it's between channels. You can't make out anything basically.
There is also nothing like lint in the earphone plug, because I shone a light and checked. I have done hard restoring to the phone's setting but none of it worked.

I had the same problem on my iPhone 4 (iOS 5.0.1)
Specifically:
No volume control (slider or hard buttons) when playing music, games, video etc
No sound when playing the above
Sound and volume control returned when head phones plugged in
Ringer still worked
I read a thread that fixed it for me.
I noticed it after I plugged the phone into my car stereo (has iPhone docking) and then unplugged it after activating the iPhone and playing a video.
To fix it I plugged it back into the car stereo and activated the iPhone (usually when I plug it in the iPhone screen shuts off and I control the music etc from the car head unit). Sound and volume control returned to the iPhone!!
Crazy but it worked. So I guess some docking stations will do the same thing (not just a car stereos)

Open Mac Mail.
From the menu bar click Mail > Preferencees then select the Accounts tab then the Account Information tab then click + to add the account.

I've synced ok till recently but an now having problems syncing myipod touch on windows platform - seems to start ok but then get the error message "an unknown error has occurred 13019" and the sync stops at that point so new music is not added - help!

I've been able to sync in the past but recently get an unknown error 13019 and the sync is stopped - so new music i've loaded up and other stuff doesn't go across - my ipod classic syncs ok as usual - but my ipod touch has the error.
Please let me have any ideas to fix

Control center ios 7 music controls not working help

When I swipe up from the bottom of the screen to use control center I am not able to use the music controls for music or podcasts and music controls do not work on the lock screen either is anybody else having this problem???????

I also experience this issue. Soft reset of the phone corrects the issue temporarily. However it will reoccur in time. It seems ultimately Apple will need to fix this with an iOS7 update.
I have noticed several bugs (this being one of many that I am reporting) since upgrading to iOS7 which has been very disappointing. I am a huge Apple advocate and this has not been the experience of "It just works" that I have come to expect from my Apple products. It is because I care so much about the Apple ecosystem that has made my work and play so much more enjoyable that I will take the time to report these in hopes that Apple will take notice and that subsequent updates will address these issues.

IPhone 5 Lock Button not working help?

I brought an iPhone 5 in October 2012, and my lock screen button is not working. Sometimes, my phone does not turn on or turn off unless I press the button 3 or 4 times. I did not buy apple care and I don't think I am under warrenty anymore so will they still be able to replace my phone?

You can make an appointment and they will examine the phone. Since you are out of warranty, then more than likely they would not make a warranty replacement, but you can purchase an out of warranty replacement for a price less than the cost of a brand new phone. In the US, the replacement cost for the iPhone 5 is $269US.

IPhone 4 Sim Card not supported Help!

I bought an iPhone 4 off someone under the impression that it was UNLOCKED due to the fact that is had no Network on the box (unlike other iPhones i've had)
but when taking my o2 Sim out of 1 iPhone and putting it into my newer one, iTunes was saying that the Sim was not supported,
so im obviously guessing that the iPhone is actually locked to a Network....
I tried Googling the Part/Serial Number and Vodafone kept getting mentioned so might it be locked on the Vodafone Network?

One of the big downfalls of purchasing an iPhone from a non-official source is a mess like this. Only the carrier that an iPhone is locked to can authorize the phone's official unlocking. Just about every carrier that unlocks iPhones will only do so for users active on their network. Thus, you're gonna have to establish service with the carrier this phone is locked to(after verifying they offer unlocking), then request they unlock your phone.

If those photos were part of the camera roll, they were part of the backup as well and you can restore from the latest backup you made on the old computer. After that transfer the photos to the new PC, follow this article: iOS: Importing personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer
Then sync again to the new one, which will erase the phone again.
You can also try to copy the backup folder from the old computer to the new one and see if the old backups get recognized, check this article to find the location on your PC:

If the photos were not taken with the phone, your data is gone, photos you sync from iTunes to the phone are not included in the backup.

Have you tried the restart/reset/restore troubleshooting path? That would be the best initial set of steps to take, particularly in a situation like this.

It says this when not connected to the dock. His dock is an ihome which isn't an official Apple dock. I think my next step is to take the thing in to an Apple store.

Try disconnecting the headphones and then adjusting the volume, does it say headphones?
There might be something in the headphone jack, maybe lint, dirt, or something else in there.

You very well may be correct but I find it hard to believe that everything on my iphone is automatically copied to my Mac and vise versa. I know there are apps out there that allow specific files on the Iphone to be copies to the Mac or PC without going through itunes. (I have one on the Mac and Iphone for trsf of Photo's) This app is a quick 1,2,3 process, no itunes involvement and they drop where I want in the file that I chose.
I'm now in the process of finding the same type of app for music that by-passes the old antiquated itune platform.
Again you may be 100% correct, and I do appreciate your comment, but I am still hopeful someone is aware of another cleaner approach.

Music will not transfer from my Mac (OSX 10.9.3) to my iPhone except for music purchased through iTunes. Hard sync doesn't seems to work as I use iCloud. Suggestions?

Only music purchased from the iTunes store is available to download from iCloud unless you subscribe to iTunes Match. Also, you can sync music using iTunes on you Mac even if you are using iCloud for syncing your contacts, calendars and other data.

Problem with both the speaker and earphones?
Have you tried another pair of headphones?
Yu can try the standard fixes to rule out a software problem:
- Reset. nothing is lost.
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory defaults/new iPod.
