Choppy slide titles animation

Titles slide to the center all choppy, laggy, like they are skipping frames... I tried with better quality 1920 etc... but all that does is enlarge my picture which isn't really helpful considering I have a small raster picture to start with and the animation is still sluggish. What gives?
These are my Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 settings for exporting video:
format:h.264
w: 320, h: 240
frame rate: 30
aspect: D1/DV PAL (1.0940)
TV standard: NTSC
Profile: high
level: 1,3
render at maximum depth: "checked"
bitrate encoding: VBR, 1 pass
target and maximum bitrate: 0,18
use maximum render quality: "checked"
PS.: How can I improve quality of the video, setting it to 1920*1080 just enlarges my video, which pixelates my raster picture in the video.

Your settings are very odd.
If I was going to export to 320X240 I would use square pixels. Mixing a PAL aspect ratio with NTSC TV standard is confusing.
You most likely do not need "Render at Maximum Depth" and if your target is zero, you bitrate is going to be darn low.
Try at least 1Mb/s with a max of 2Mb/s.
My guess is that you want a really low file size, but you have to have a high enough bit rate for quality purposes.
Also, moving the titles is a bit of an art form in Premiere Pro. In After Effects you can move a certain number of pixels in a certain number of frames so that you are always moving "whole pixels" instead of percentages. In Premiere Pro you sometime have to speed it up a little or slow it down a little to get it to work smoothly.

Need suggestion on how to do 3D spinning title animation

Hello all experts,
I need suggestion on how to do 3D rotating title animation. Let me explain what i wanted to do.
The end product is the word WELCOME.
But I want to animate it in such a way that the alphabelt W first appear as nothing from inside the screen to appear in the screen (that means zoom from small to big, is it called zoom out ?). In the process of zooming out, I want the W to have a thickness & it spins very fast along the horizontal X-axis and stops at the screen with the alphbelt W.
Then the whole process repeat with E, and I have WE. It then repeats with L and I have WEL. This whole thing repeats until it forms the word WELCOME.
Any suggestions ? Is there an inbuilt preset for this ?
If not, if I do from scratch, do I need a separate track for each alphabelt ?

Work on the whole word first to get the basic movement, then play with the Timing settings in the Inspector. To have the letters do this one after the other use the Sequence setting. Typically you would set it to the number of letters in your word plus 1 -so your welcome should have a Sequence value of 8. You can of course set it to whatever you think looks best.
Give it a go and let us know how you get on. Don't forget to save your new effect!

Master & slide title or object linking?

greetings,
i've been using keynote for a few years. i'm using keynote version 5.0.4, which is the current version. i compiled a presentation recently by copying slides from older presentations. i've made a newer master and have reassigned the master slide for the slide to be the same. however, the titles on the slides are not getting relinked to the master slide title. so changes to the master title style are not being reflected in the individual slides for most slides.
i've played with the "inspector" -> slide -> appearance to see if i can for the title to relink to the master, without success. so far the only way i've found to get the slide titles to connect to the new master is to insert a new slide and copy the slide body and presenters notes to the new slide. then i select the text in the old slide title and "paste & match style" in the new slide.
but my presentation is around 140 slides. and i don't want to have to do this to all of them to be able to globally control the style of the slide title.
i've searched some of the posts and haven't seen this addressed before. does anyone have any suggestions about how to relink the slide titles if they are no longer linked?

ahh! i found it...
1- select the object, in this case the title
2- right click
3- pop-up menu shows "reapply slide master to selection"
i spent about an hour yesterday fooling around this this, trying different things, and did't figure it out...
so in case someone else needs it, here it is...

In Web Gallery HTML, how can I show Slide Titles?

I am trying to use the HTML Gallery module within Bridge to create a photo archive. In all respects the appearance of this module is perfect for what i want to do, however it does not display the slide title. Some of the other modules do display the slide title but their layout is not what I want. I looked at modifying a copy of the .xml style docs within the CS4 Extensions library but stopped when it became apparent I was not merely modifying an existing instruction but trying to add a new one. If anyone knows how this can be done I'd appreciate hearing how.
A related question... Is there a way, within this same module, to modify the "large" image result. When Bridge creates its large images it reduces the size appreciably. In one case by more than 50%. I want viewers to be able to download the original, not a reduced copy. Currently I am using the Photoshop Gallery plugin which handles both of these issues. However the appearance of the slide display is not equal to what Bridge produces.

Slide Titles not showing up in TOC

Hello,
I am building a project template and have placed a text
placeholder in the spot where my slide titles would go. I then
selected the system variable $$cpInfoCurrentSlideLabel$$ as the
text thinking that it would then populate the "Label" for the slide
and therefore show up in the Table of Contents as the slide title.
It is not working for me. Any ideas on what I am doing wrong? I am
using Cp4.

Please follow below steps
1. Create a project template and insert a text caption place
holder with cpInfoCurrentSlideLabel in it.
2. Add TOC
2. Save and close the template
3. Create Project From template
4. Double click on the text caption place holder to convert
it into a text caption.
5. Give a slide label from the Slide properties.
Now you can see the variable getting replaced by slide label.
I think you must missing Step 4.

Slide titles not showing up in TOC - Captivate 7

Can someone please tell me why my slide titles will not show up in my project? It just says "Slide 1", "Slide 5", etc... I've not worked with the TOC much so this is all new to me.

TOC will show Slide labels, not titles on slides. You can edit them in the TOC itself, but it is perhaps easier just to label the slides.
After labeling, you'll have to click on the refresh button in the TOC

Remove "Slide Title" text from table of contents?

Hi all,
Is there anyway to remove the text "Slide Title" when you publish a Table of Contents (ToC) from Captivate 8?
It seems I can remove/add the other text from the ToC (e.g. project name, title, etc.) but not the line that appears above all of the slides and the accompanying bookmark button/icon.
Any ideas?

Slide Title Export from iPhoto to iMovie

iPhoto has a selection to "show titles" in "Settings." How do I get the slide titles to export to iMovie?

What format did you export as? Open it in Quicktime Play and type Command-i. In the Inspector window check the format of the file. I just exported one and got the following which is compatible with iMovie 7:
MPEG-4 (Perian);640 x 480, Millions, MPEG Layer 3, Stereo, 44.100 kHz.
If you don't have Perian listed download and install it. Then try again.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. After Effects 4K Title & Animation Issue

I am having an issue implementing titles for my project in PP that were created in AE. I had someone make me title animations and logo animations for me. He designed them for 1920X1080, but my footage and sequence is 4096 X 2160, and now he's on vacation for three weeks in Europe. I have all the assets and project files for this project. I tried to do a simple change in the sequence settings of the comps but that didn't solve anything. I also tried scaling up the layers but then the animation paths got messed up. How can I re-size the titles so they match the sequence correctly?

Check the comp resizer script that comes with AE and there's a similar, more advanced floating around on AEScripts or AEnhancers somewhere. Though the aspect ratios being slightly different you may still need to intervene manually. If ev erything is based on shape layers, vector artwork and text layers, enabling the collapse transformations switch might also allow scaling the pre-comps up without any loss of quality whiel retaining the animation...

Why are my Spry Image Slideshow slide titles not appearing sometimes?

I inserted a Spry Image Slideshow with Filmstrip Basic widget using 3 photos to try it out. It is working fine except for the slide titles.The slide titles appear in Firefox and in Opera, but not in Safari. Haven't tried it in IE browsers yet.
Any idea why the titles are not showing up all of the time?

Yes. There are several ways to do this using cropping, mattes, animating titles, and many other effects.
If you have After Effects, it may be better to do it there.

How to reverse direction of title animation

I just downloaded motion 5 to use with FCPX titles. is it possible to use motion 5 to reverse the direction of a title animation? For example, FCPX has a certain title is shown entering from the left. I'd like it to enter from the right. Can I make the switch?

It looks like that one is animated by keyframes. In this case you could make the animation go right to left by reversing the keyframe order and then adjusting as needed. You will need to do this with the Emitter and the Rectangle Mask.
For the Mask:
-Change the Mask Blend Mode to Subtract.
-In the Inspector, go to the X Position and to the right of the keyframe indicator, click the downward facing arrow and select Show in keyframe editor from the contextual menu.
-In the Keyframe editor, option click the checkbox next to the Transform.Position.X channel. this will hide the other keyframes.
-Select both the keyframes for the X channel. While they are both selected right click on top of one of the keyframes and select Reverse Keyframes from the contextual menu. This will reverse the animation direction for the Mask on the text.
For the Emitter:
Basicly, do the same thing as with the Mask. Go to the keyframes for the X postion and reverse them. In this case you will need to adjust the start and end postions. The first keyframe will need to be near the right side of the canvas, and the second keyframe will need to be further away. Once you are close you can adjust the second keyframe to match the mask that wipes the text

Unable to Apply Title Animation

Premiere Elements 8 doesn't let me apply title animation to a certain title.
The same track contains a few other titles, to which i was able to apply title animation without problem.
I tried dragging the problematic title (actually, problematic titleS) to a separate track, but it doesn't solve the problem.
Is there a solution/workaround?
Is this a known issue?

Glad that we got it for you.
The workaround is to do multiple Titles, each with one line of Text. Place them one, above the other on the necessary Video Tracks. Apply the Animation Preset to each. You can also apply different Presets, depending on what you want. You can also stagger them, so that each line comes in, with the Animation Preset, one at a time. The choice is yours.
One can also manually Keyframe most of the Animation Presets, though some do require things like Track Matte Keying to get their "wipe," or similar Effects.
If you get into heavy Title Animation, have a look at both BluffTitler, and ProDAD's Heroglyph. Both are really neat.
